Matcha Oreo, Churro, and Biscoff! All amazing!
    Kasey Y.

Come check this booth out at the local 818 markets every weekend. We've also tried the Ube which was very good. It's a soft cookie, moist, and not too sweet. Some interesting flavors including mango tajin and champurrado. Support local businesses and give these guys some love.

We already ate the Ube and Espresso. Half eaten (for not long!) red velvet and s'mores.

Saysay's homemade cookies are really buttery and satisfying. I had the espresso and my daughter had the Ube and we both concluded that we would buy those flavors again. We tried bites of the red velvet and s'mores and both were delicious. We can't wait to try the other flavors especially the Matcha Oreo. Saysay's cookies are dense with a lot of flavors but not hard. They are slightly chewy and full of fresh butter and bits of heaven that make you crave more. Thank you for your high quality homemade cookies, Saysay!

This is my second time trying a cookie from Saysay's and it did not disappoint either time!!! I'm a huge fan of matcha and the flavor was spot on for me. The Belgian white chocolate was a beautiful complimentary pairing. The matcha flavor itself is perfect and not too sweet nor bitter. The size, texture, and freshness of the cookie itself is 10/10. The consistency I've seen from this business is appreciated and I'll continue to support. The ube flavor is also super unique and rich! I can't wait to try them again and select new flavors.

Cute booth in the Northridge mall on a Friday night. I picked up the Ube, Matcha White chip, Matcha Oreo, and s'mores. I've and Matcha REALLY has a great essence of their flavor, but being a chocolate and marshmallow fan, S'mores all the way. Much better tasting and texture than competitor cookies (Crumbls). Got the 6 pack, too good to share.

We were thrilled when we saw Smokey Cow resumed business and we were lucky enough to get some scrumptious BBQ before heading back to NorCal. Our favorite was the Beef Rib. This trip our favorite was the Brisket. My son said it ranks up there with Franklin's and Jack Black's in Texas, home of some of the best BBQ in the nation. The Brisket had an excellent smoke ring, nice seasoning and most of all it was super tender. Just outstanding, hard to get this good of brisket. The Beef Rib and Pork Ribs were pretty good but probably left on the grill just a tinge longer so it wasn't quite as moist as the last time I had Smokey Cow. I also had the homemade Mac and Cheese, pickles, chips and cole slaw. They make everything including the sauce except for the chips. On my next trip to SoCal, I will be stopping by to get excellent BBQ and great service. If you haven't been there before, look for the alley entrance that goes behind the houses where the garages are and look for the lighted entrance. Go early, you don't want to miss out on some of the best BBQ in the area. Smokey Cow is my #1 BBQ, Swinging Door #2 and Bludso's #3.

Their 100% naturally leavened bagels come in a a variety of flavors as do their spreads. I was really impressed by the amazing flow this dynamic duo brings with their kindness, quality and service including the demure mindful cutesiness of options, including a lot of vegan friendly ones. They use Kite Hill non-dairy cream cheese for their dairy free folks, which I'd had in the past, but not being a natural cream cheese person growing up I don't typically gravitate to, but might reconsider or at least anytime I find myself enjoying the bread goodness of The Sourdough Daddy. Typically they have up to three or so pop up's each month which are listed on their website as well as their Instagram. Being a small pop and pop shop with the magic of the awesome owner partner husbands, you can definitely see and appreciate the tlc they put into this growing shop on the go. Their black garlic bagel with vegan CC is a ten! With full loafs and bagels by the dozen also available as well. From a variety of breakfast style bagels to microgreens and classic style with a twist you'll definitely enjoy these daddy delights.

My son didn't make a reservation because it was a Wednesday night and he didn't think it would be crowded. But with 5 adults and a baby carriage, we had to wait for the right table because the somewhat small restaurant was full. We soon got a good spot and ordered the shrimp ceviche and the pan fried dumplings for appetizers. The ceviche was served on a bed of crispy noodles and it was refreshing and satisfying. The dumplings were crispy, not greasy, and flavorful. For dinner, we got 2 orders of japchae and 3 orders of bibimbap. With 2 Korean-born children and having visited the country, those are among our family's favorite dishes. And they did not disappoint. The japchae noodles were just right. They were not too firm and not too soft and well-seasoned. With a mixture of veggies, meat, mushrooms, eggs, and that delectable sauce, the bibimbap tickled and satiated the tastebuds. I told the server there was a birthday at the table and she brought out an excellent creme brulee with a candle in it. My husband and I didn't pay the bill. But the prices were reasonable with most of the entrees costing less than $20 each. We have four more days in town and may very well make another visit to indulge in that scrumptious food.

The kitchen is a home kitchen with a house keeper washing the dishes by hand. It is a help yourself type of situation. BYOB and pour it yourself. There is a total of 16 seats per night. 6 of us in our reservation. They dim the place for the ambience. Food wise - Total of 7 courses - last 2 was the dessert. There is no printed menu, so you'll just have to ask what it is that you're eating and why the main course -steak- was served first. We were asked to keep the utensils through out the course as they do not change your silverware for every course. Cringe. I had such a high expectation with the food prior to dinner. It felt flat - Everything. The only thing that we like was the corn bread. The steak was tough - some us got super rare and some got overly done tough. Some flavor combination just didn't pair well. Something with a fish dish but sour like hell. Another dish was blue and it just did not look a dish coming out of a fine dining restaurant. Funny the people that were there was talking about Somni, Providence, Melisse.... It just did not even come close. It's like going to a friend's house who's practicing to be a fine dining chef. Pics of the food is posted in this review. None of them was impressive. It just did not go well together. When it came to the 7th course - it was a shaved ice. The Asian assitant cook brought them over and said it's Mandarin ice. So we asked, can you give us a little bit more description... his response was so rude that he said "it's ice with mandarin orange flavor". Oh ok - now you say mandarin oranges. But his condescending attitude is not appreciated. The night is ending and the Chef has not once come to the table to say Hi or introduced himself. People started to leave and he decided to speak to some remaining guests. Then he gets stuck with that particular guest for a long time until everyone is leaving. We probably just had like a Hi and Hello thank you for the food. He seems nice though. Then we all left. We clearly didn't even care anymore at that point. Bad food and bad experience. No parking. Good luck finding a parking on the streets on fountain and Vermont with all the homeless around. It's a hype. It's mysterious because it's really not listed as a restaurant. Not for everyone.
