    Large Biko de yema
    Jackie X.

The most delicious modern ube desserts I've ever had! You can order all kinds of treats from them like cookies, fudge, brownies, etc. and they have other flavors in addition to ube. I was fortunate to get some samples from Sugar & Grace at an event and especially enjoyed the biko de yema, which is like an ube mochi pie with crem brûlée on top. It was so soft to eat, not too sweet, and had great flavor. Their ube brownies were super yummy too! I decided to order a whole pie (they come in small servings too) of the biko de yema. It was for my family to enjoy when I flew to Ohio to see them. They immediately fell in love. Grace is also super nice and friendly! Would definitely order from here again, I believe the large Biko de yema needs to be ordered ahead of time.

100% recommend! I first tried the baked goods at Sugar & Grace through a Yelp event, and I loved their Ube Biko de Yema so much that I told my partner I wanted the large one for my birthday cake last year. He learned that you need to order ahead and prepare to pickup for this particular dessert, and while I didn't get it for my birthday, I did get it for Valentine's Day this year! The Ube Biko de Yema has a sweet custard topping and glutinous rice cake with a great ube flavor. The custard is pretty sweet, but my mom liked the rice cake part so much (not too sweet!) that she wants this for her birthday this year, too. They say to keep the Ube Biko de Yema in the fridge and take it out an hour before you plan to eat it. :) We also got to try their ube crinkle cookies, and my partner didn't want to share... I also just realized I never even got to take a photo! They weren't too sweet, and the ube flavor was delicious in this, too! Note: My partner also mentioned that pickup was at a kitchen and that it was super fast.

Wow was blown away by their Ube Biko de Yema which is a purple yam rice cake with sweet custard topping. Kind of like a ube rice cake with a flan layer on top. This item was the best dessert I've ever had. So much that i felt compelled to write this review. They attend the Monrovia Friday Street Fair and the Warner Center Farmers Market which is how we found them. They make other items like a ube cornbread, cookies and buns. Everything tasted really good, especially if you're a fan of ube, but again, that Biko de yema was unbelievable. Will be using this bakery for catering for future events. You can either see them in person at the fairs mentioned above, or place an order on their website for pickup or delivery. Did the delivery option recently and it was just as good!

Ube flavor at its finest!! There is nothing like it. Sugar and Grace offers the most addicting ube treats and desserts in California. The most popular item by far is the Ube Biko de Yema rice cake. It's a perfect balance of sweetness and texture and the custard on top goes really well with the base. Soft and not too sweet. Even though the Biko de Yema rice cake is the star of the menu, Grace's other treats are as equally delicious and worth trying! Her brownies offer you quite the surprise when you take a bite. They're dense, very sweet and leaves you wanting more. My favorite is the Cashew Yema brownie. I can eat this all day! Grace is one of the nicest people that I have ever met. She goes out of her way to make sure you are satisfied with your treats and she makes sure that everything is packaged with attention and detail. Other treats worth mentioning are Sugar and Grace's Ube Streusel Milk Buns. These are soft in texture, with an amazing filling. This pairs well with Grace's newly created item, her Ube Latte. She also offers cookies, coffee cake, breads, and so much more! I'll be looking forward to anything new that she creates.

Yum!!! Some of my favorite cookies. The ube cookies are so unique and delicious. Amazing fresh quality and ingredients. The owner is beyond kind. Highly recommend ordering from!

Sugar and Grace have the best desserts. I've never had an ube dessert before, and it blew my mind. It was the perfect amount of sweet. They have the best ube cookies that are fluffy and soft and the amazing ube brownies that melt in your mouth. I can't wait to order more!

Excellent quality. Their ube pastries are ingenious. I recommend highly. They are inside a major bakery and hidden from the outside.

You have to try the ube rice pudding and really all their ube pastries. Flavor is not overpowering also.

I'm just leaving this review to let people know that this is not a reputable catering service I would recommend. I would recommend if you have the budget Marbled LA or better yet Bite Catering, Good Heart Catering, Catering Los Angeles, the list goes on and these are cheaper options than "Contemporary catering". If you enjoy cold sliders, poor management, a staff that doesn't respond back, and an arrogant owner that blames LA for being the problem and tucking tale back to the desert (as he puts it) this might be the place for you. There's a reason why this place didn't take off in L.A. and a large portion of their team was laid off.

I've only had the lumpia shanghai, veggie lumpia and pancit bihon. The veggie lumpia, could be better, but I'm also spoiled by home cooking with grandparents my entire life, so I have my bias. The pancit bihon (glass noodle) was pretty much the exact style my family makes, perfectly seasoned, excellent ratio of ingredients, wish there was Chinese sausage however. I gobbled up my portion today and had to write a review because of how masarap everything was. The lumpia shanghai was perfect, freshly made, you can tell everything here is prepared on the spot. So don't be a in a rush! I would have given 5 stars but they forgot my shrimp in the pancit today :/ It's ok, I'll be back and maybe grab a tray of lumpia for my kids birthday soon! I look forward to coming back and trying more here. If you're not a Filipino, this is the place to go to where the food will be proper representation of good Filipino food! Also if you don't eat much pork like myself, you can ask for chicken in the pancit instead of pork. I've been here twice on weekdays and there's always people waiting for food, and of course the service is very kind, Filipinos are the best at treating guest
