This salon has no basic manners, super unprofessional, and at this point i highly suspect they discriminate toward asian populations. Below attached is a screenshot of just a couple days ago when I wanted to make a follow up appointment to touch up my hair. Surprisingly they showed me how they ignore their client's messages. It is obvious that they lack basic customer service skills and absence of decent human manners. Not sure where you get the confidence from, but is this how you want to build up your notorious reputation? They also act shady regarding their billing. Based on my last visit, I asked them to give me a price estimate before my service. And by the time I have to pay, they ended up charging me double the estimate they gave me. And when I asked them to give me a price breakdown, they told me they don't do price breakdowns. WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS DOESN'T DO PRICE BREAKDOWNS? If you go to a restaurant you get a menu, if you go to a hotel they have different charges for different rooms and services. Also different staff members weren't being consistent about their pricing either, everyone is coming up with some different pricing. The boss Susan basically just charge however much she feels like charging me. Not sure if this was discrimination towards me, or just feel like making more money out of me for some reason. I am now feeling angry and cheated. The staff's horrible manners and lack of basic customer service skills were shocking. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere where you'll be treated with respect and receive the service you deserve. read more

Susan and her team are amazing! And So very talented. I have been getting all kinds of different extensions and changing my hair from different shades of brown and blonde for over 15 years. So I would say I am a veteran when it comes to my experiences, and it is not an easy thing to do. I think it's important to write this review, because when people do a really great job with some thing they should be recognized for it. I really love the blonde tones that she was able to give me. How she listend to what I wanted. I've gotten so many compliments. Susan is very sweet and works really hard and so does her team Noel and Daisy. They all complement one another, and have a great workflow. I'm never waiting around long periods of time for anything. I highly recommend booking a consultation to see how passionate she really is and what she does. Oh yes, last but definitely not least, my hair is in really great shape and still healthy which is very important. I absolutely love my hair.! I'm so happy I found a new hair home. Stacey does the best eyebrow services. She waxes my brows and dyes them using just a little bit of color on my skin to give it a good shape. I don't feel the need to have to get micro blading done again, which was a huge mistake by Lucy Hart Ink. My brows looked like thick black caterpillars on my face. After I got laser going to fix it three times over a year., Unfortunately, I still had some remnants of the bad microplating. So I go to Stacey and she colors my brows and a little on my skin and it looks like absolutely nothing was ever wrong. I'm so grateful for her and her services. I wrote this so long ago and I feel so bad that I forgot to hit "post review"! Omg!!! Anyway better late than never. From the very first moment I contacted Suzy she has been nothing but amazing. I found Suzy online and decided I needed a day to just pamper myself! I arrived and was warmly greeted and invited to a delicious Nespresso cafecito de Cuba. As I was about to sit in the waiting area and enjoy my coffee, here comes Suzy with the biggest welcoming smile. She took me over to her chair to start my blow dry and washed my hair. After that she took me to her chair and I told her I wanted something with volume, she gave me that look like, "I got you-say no more" I've been to Dry Bar, Blow Bar blow whatever and I usually hear the stylist tell me "wow-you have so much hair." That for me is a signal of, I'm about to really be annoyed with how much work I have to do or wow wish you weren't sitting in this chair now OR oh oh not used to this type of hair. ( I'm middle eastern and Latina) Suzy was one of the FEW stylist that got to work and said nothing! I knew we were off to a good start! She did the work so fast and seriously by the time I was done with my coffee she was also done! BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO GO TO THIS SALON. Went to this salon for a stylish hair cut and left furious. It is much too short and no style whatsoever. I am so depressed just by looking at myself in the mirror because I look like I have a flat pancake on my head instead of hair. I am now stuck for months with the most horrible hair cut I ever had in my life. I specifically asked Susan to cut it not too short with a few layers for volume. I had been there once before a couple of months ago and the cut was OK so I assumed she would remember my style since I brought photos. Too dazed, she looked at me and said sorry I have no idea. She was not friendly, hardly speaking. She was obviously having a bad day and it felt like she was putting all her stress on me neglecting the cut completely. She left me hanging half way done a couple of time to make phone calls, was looking the other way while cutting my hair when an employee came whispering issues in her ear for at least 10 minutes. How rude and unprofessional ! I should have stopped her and leave but she had already cut one side already within a few minutes. I started boiling inside but too late: The cut is a real disaster...At the end, she did not even style blow dry my hair... And mind you, her prices are higher than a chic Beverly Hills Salon. The minimum she could do is at least offer a refund for failure and customer' dissatisfaction. BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO GO TO THIS SALON. SB Boutique Salon was referred to me by a friend, who has been going to Susan for years. Ever since I started coming here 3 years ago, I have been so happy. Susan is the only person I go to for my color and extensions. OMG she is the only person I trust with extensions. I'm in the fashion industry and editors to stylists have commented that they couldn't tell I had extensions, they were so realistic. I took a break from extensions for a little while, but still go to SB Salon for my color. I have gone to other people twice for color--both "experts" in LA--and both times I had to go back to Susan to fix my hair. The salon experience is intimate and friendly.
