When I would call in the morning (I live about 2 miles from the train) at 7:20 to make the 7:40 train, the dispatcher would say 5-6 minutes. I found myself waiting nearly 15-20 minutes for each taxi. That wasn't the straw that broke the camel's back though. After working late I called when the train was about 10 minutes away from Ossining that I would need a taxi. They said sure no problem. I got there and there was a taxi waiting when I went to get in, the driver saw 3 people who he knew and started speaking spanish to and told me to get out that he wanted to take them instead. Luckily there was another taxi service at the train station I took. I will never use this company again. Ever. I have since found another taxi service that does much better and shows up on time and appreciates the business I give them.

The flight was 45 minutes early, but the driver had checked the flights and already knew this. He actually called me while I was still on the plane to let me know he would be there and where to meet him. It took us a little while to get through immigration/customs etc and when we came out the arrivals entrance he was waiting. The car was a brand new Lincoln and very comfortable and clean. The driver was courteous and took the quickest way back to Dobbs. Overall a hassle free experience and I will definitely use them again. Update 10/13 I used them again for an NYC pick up of my parents and kids and drop off in Westchester. Once again the service was excellent, car clean and driver extremely helpful and courteous.

After that, I received a phone call that I did not answer, followed by a text message asking why I declined and whether it was due to price. I replied that the cost didn't make sense for us compared to parking or other options. The response that followed included a condescending commentary about the type of service being offered, which I found off-putting and ultimately prompted this review. While the company is entitled to its pricing and positioning, I found the follow-up after a clear decline unnecessary. For a service that bills itself as "luxury," the level of tact and professionalism leaves much to be desired, especially at that price point.

On the out trip, the driver arrived early, texted us, and assured us that there was no hurry. On the return trip, to JFK, there was some kind of demonstration, where the demonstrators only demonstrated that they snarled the traffic. Jesus, our driver, directed us by text to a convenient pick up spot, and then he did all the hard work getting there. The cars are always spotless, the drivers always courteous, the ride always smooth. What more could you ask for?

Because of my experience, I actually used them on my return trip (when I hadn't been planning on using a car service again). Both times, the driver was early so that he would be picking me up on time. Both drivers drove well and carefully in the New York City traffic, were courteous and helpful, and were a pleasure to talk to on the hour-long drive from and to the airport. Their cars were clean, well-maintained and comfortable. Also, their reservation phone line is available 24-hours a day, and the lady who took my reservation was helpful and kind.
