I requested a quote for an airport ride within Westchester and was quoted $180 one way. I declined the reservation via email. After that, I received a phone call that I did not answer, followed by a text message asking why I declined and whether it was due to price. I replied that the cost didn't make sense for us compared to parking or other options. The response that followed included a condescending commentary about the type of service being offered, which I found off-putting and ultimately prompted this review. While the company is entitled to its pricing and positioning, I found the follow-up after a clear decline unnecessary. For a service that bills itself as "luxury," the level of tact and professionalism leaves much to be desired, especially at that price point. read more

This was not the first time we used BKM. We've lived in Westchester for over 30 years, and have used many car service companies, but BKM is the best. On the out trip, the driver arrived early, texted us, and assured us that there was no hurry. On the return trip, to JFK, there was some kind of demonstration, where the demonstrators only demonstrated that they snarled the traffic. Jesus, our driver, directed us by text to a convenient pick up spot, and then he did all the hard work getting there. I have used BKM for car service for the last 4 years. They are consistently reliable, affordable, and professional. I make an online reservation to see the cost prior to booking. Then the night before I get a text as to who my driver is and their contact info. The day of at least 30 min before my pick up time I get a message from my driver letting them know ETA. I've recommended them to my family who have all had equally positive experiences with them and now use them regularly. I am so thankful they are close by and so consistently good. BKM is great! We needed a ride from Westchester Co. to/from JFK and I was worried about booking Uber or Lyft since they have become so unreliable with cancellations and surge pricing. The woman at BKM that I spoke with to book couldn't have been more lovely and both drivers were great. We had beautiful escalades that were clean and spacious. We were super delayed returning to JFK because of Hurricane Elsa, but the driver waited for us and was right outside after we picked up our bags. He was also very patient as we installed a car seat. They also kept us updated throughout the process with text messages about who our driver was and the driver texted us his license plate number. I will absolutely book with them again. We use this reliable, courteous, and comfortable black car service to ferry us to and from New York airports. The online reservation system is quite simple to navigate, and the fees are transparent (I usually book a day or two in advance). We've had four different drivers, and all have been friendly, helpful, communicative, and on time. They drive safely and are happy to chat or give you space. The cars have all been either Town Cars or equivalent. They are clean and comfortable, and the drivers clearly take care of their vehicles. This service is not cheap (my last bill was $160 for a pick-up at EWR), but you get exactly what you pay for. We like avoiding the stress of fighting traffic or finding a discount parking lot, and we get increasing value over the long term on even the cut-rate parking lots. It's also, quite frankly, not that much more expensive than an Uber pickup during peak hours. In short, big price but good value. read more

Stellar service! We've used BKM multiple times and have always been delighted with their timeliness and ease of use. Prices are also very fair. They are so reliable that they were able to drop us off at JFK in the middle of a blizzard this January. Not at all an easy trip from Westchester but the driver ensured we arrived safely and on time and helped us with our luggage through the snow covered airport pavements. Booked a ride for our family from White Plains to JFK based on other yelp reviews. Car was cancelled via email but as no phone or text message was received we were unaware until wondering why the car didn't show. Only then when searching email to check the confirmation email details saw the cancellation email and no reason was given. With only an hour until check-in time resorted to UBER who showed up within 5 mins and helped us make our flight on time. I guess the lesson is if you use this firm then don't take the confirmation email as booked - check your email every few hours in case they decide to cancel your booking. Or just use UBER. --------------- Thanks for the response Brian- I've sent you an email to clarify what you're response. ---------------- Final update: Following multiple emails with the vendor it turns out that I was mistaken for someone else, possibly from same pickup location. So in addition to the above I'd advise you ensure that nobody has ever used your pickup location in the past as even if you have a different name or phone number you your booking will be cancelled and you will be told on public review site to "PAY YOUR DEBTS". We used them when we were traveling to Pound Ridge, NY last week! Lily was very easy to work with, responded quickly and the quoted prices were beyond fair. We needed a car to pick us up from LGA and the driver was on time and it was very easy to communicate with him. When we needed to head back to LGA we also used BKM - the driver was prompt once again! Her plane was diverted over an hour and a half away from her original destination. They handled it all! Jumped through hoops to make sure they could get her home. Then when they found out the plane was going to be sent on to its original intended destination. They jumped through hoops again to make sure her ride was there to get her.
