We were visiting SB and feeling pretty under the weather (such a bummer on vacation). SB Pho was just what we needed. They were pretty busy on a rainy Saturday afternoon and had just one gal working the front but we still managed to get our food in decent time and she was super friendly despite being super busy! I ordered the chicken pho with vegetables and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're looking to get your pho fix! I will say that it is kind of tough to find and is down a little path off of State street (so not directly on State). read more

We found this to be a delightful place to eat. Great food and a lovely court yard to enjoy outdoor dining. We had the fresh spring rolls and they were excellent. The peanut sauce was spicy enough for me (which is saying something). The veggies and tofu inside were fresh and tasty. Then we tried the pho and it was wonderful. We had the full vegan broth and tofu and it was some of the best vegan broth I've ever had. Just had to add in the jalapenos to spice it up and go to town! If you find this gem, you'll be lucky. It's tucked away in a little courtyard. If you find it, consider yourself lucky! The food is great. I had a mango salad with yummy onions and peanuts. We shared a spring roll and Yan had a pho dish. She poured chili pepper sauce on it and she enjoyed it... The service was great and the nice thing is the owner came out to see if everyone was happy. A breakfast joint and serves pizza as the owner says, they have a variety of different breakfasts ranging from Shakasuka to Pho along with pizza and burgers. I came looking for a good bowl of pho as Noodle City Is closed on Sundays and the other reviews intrigued me so I gave this place a shot. Small mom and pop shop on Victoria St and nothing that stands out but I will say it is a great bowl of pho in SB. I've had a lot of pho and their beef pho was really good! For a breakfast pizza joint, you wouldn't think so, but it's a good surprise. Small is pretty small compared to other joints, but upon finishing up everything alongside the broth, I was full and satisfied. The soup was well seasoned and flavorful. The owner let us know the meat cuts were prime rib and roast beef for their own take, and it comes with a side of bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, and lime. Compared to noodle city too, I can taste the quality in comparison, particularly since the beef was so fresh. As soon as I walked in there was a man fighting with a woman on speakerphone loudly, who turned out to be the owner. The young girl who took our order had to ask the owner for assistance and he was rude to her. We wanted plain pho with no protein. He brought us out the plain pho and when we asked for the side vegetables (bean sprouts, limes) he told us that we would be charged extra. We were brought the vegetables after being scolded by the owned, we were given cabbage instead of bean sprouts. Over all, the noodles were under cooked and the broth was underwhelming and salty. This place makes BOMB vegan pho!!! Omg!!! I was in Santa Barbara for 4 days and ate here 4 times, then ordered takeout for two days after so I'd have delicious pho to enjoy at home in Palm Springs. That's how good it is! They use very fresh ingredients and the flavor of the veggie broth is *chef's kiss.* My boyfriend enjoyed their banh mi sandwich and their toffee(?) brownie. The staff is friendly and we like that there's indoor and outdoor seating. Hidden secret a step off State Street in Victoria Court. Quiet inviting small restaurant with great outdoor patio. Restaurant is owned and run by a friendly couple who do it all, cooking and service. If you want some great feel good food Vietnamese style you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend their Pho, best in town. Chicken, Veggie, and beef available in two sizes. In fact they have recently changed their name to SB Pho and revamped their menu with a few more Vietnamese influenced items. Plan a visit especially with this cooler weather. They still carry their pizza as well. I have been told it's very good but I have not tried any yet. I'll save that experience for summer. read more

Came here on a whim after searching for a place on Yelp... lo and behold we arrived at 4 Eggs and Pizza. It took a little while to find it bc it was within the complex through the hallways right behind Arigato sushi. Saw the menu and it looked pretty intriguing and the pictures made me crave for some pizza. We were greeted by Ron, the owner, and he was kind enough to explain and describe the menu/pictures. We told him we were kinda bummed that pizza wasn't served until 11am, but he said it wasn't a problem, he just get the oven ready with no problem at all. We ordered: the English breakfast (no black pudding- at least for this visit)- the eggs were perfect with yolky goodness, sausage was good and mildly spicy, the ham was seasoned well (don't let the pale color throw you off), the beans reminded me of pork and beans, and had mushrooms and tomatoes. Brought the baby, and he loved eating every morsel of that breakfast. Half 5 meat pizza- Mmmm. So good! Just the right amount of crunch for the crust with tasty toppings! Half BCR pizza- bacon chicken ranch. Turned out to be my favorite of the two halves. Tomatoes were juicy, bacon was crispy, and the chicken wasn't dried out- perfect! Was thinking about having the pizza to go for later in the day, but Jade, Ron's wife recommended to eat it while it was hot. All it took was one bite... we only had 1 slice left LOL. Guess we'll have to come back again for another pizza. Although we were one of the first people this morning, Ron and Jade really took care of us. Brought out every condiment we asked for, took the time to get to know us, shared the story behind the name (4 Eggs... 4 continental areas and their foods- Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa). Ron love food and cooking and it shows in the quality and taste of our entrees. Jade cooks the Vietnamese food, but we were too stuffed to try any other food... next time. Ngon quá! Haven't had good phở broth in the longest time. I'm telling you, it is day and night compared to the rest in the SB area. They cook it in the most traditional way (yes, NO MSG!). You can taste the difference between an authentic broth and a cheated one. As someone who have spent the full 13 hours cooking phở at home, I'm so happy this establishment is now around to save me the time! Oh, don't even get me started on their Bánh Mì... we've had the Bulgogi, Sausage, and Pork and they're packed with all the right flavors, every single one of them. Irresistible! It is spiced but not a rich slow cooked tasting Pho broth. The spring rolls were expensive at $9.99 and the vegetable filling was just mush. They said they ran out of napkins. It's overpriced, but it is one of the very few pho places in Santa Barbara. My husband and I got two pho (one chicken and one beef), spring rolls, and drinks. Came out to $70 with tip. I hail from Orange County, where this would have been $40. Small portions, smaller than the usual in OC, and even smaller portions of the normal pho accoutrements (bean sprouts, basil, jalapeños). This review applies to delivery and pho only. I ordered pho for delivery. I was visiting out of town and needed it delivered to my hotel room. I was exhausted and just needed something warm and fast. It took over an hour. Unfortunately, by the time it arrived my soup was no longer hot. I knew not to expect hot from delivery but it wasn't even warm. So by the time I added my clump of cold noodles, it didn't look too appetizing. The flavor of the broth was good enough. I would give their pho a second chance by dining in. Passable pho in an unlikely place. If you've ever been to Vietnam or Westminster, at the very least, you know that there's FAR better pho out there. Feels like a fusion place rather than the mom and pop restaurants that take you right to the kitchen table of your bà. I wouldn't seek it out again but it wasn't a total loss.
