Andrea and Dezzy were absolute stars, the kind of service that makes you feel like you've found your new spot. They're the reason I came back again the following week. That third visit had a few bumps. The service wasn't quite up to the usual standard, but I'm giving them grace. Every restaurant has an off night. I kicked things off with the Shrimp Aglio + Olio, which is unbelievably good. I've had plenty of versions of this dish, but this one wins by a mile. The focaccia is divine, and the garlic butter deserves its own award. The Grilled Caesar is not your average Caesar. The char on the romaine gives it a smoky depth, the capers add the perfect crunch, and pairing it with the salmon keeps it light while letting the housemade dressing shine. I'm not big on the drinks, but the Berry Me in Tequila is the standout. Dessert sealed the deal. The Madagascar Vanilla Bean gelato is creamy, balanced, and not overly sweet. And the Tiramisu Classico? Shockingly good, and I usually avoid tiramisu altogether. The music is a whole vibe, and it doesn't matter if you're inside or out, the energy follows you everywhere.

I was in the mood for something good to eat, and I knew I really had to have something good that would satisfy my cravings. I needed hearty, seasoned, a good portion size, and great service. As such, I ended up at The Italian Oven Restaurant, and I am so happy I did. This time, my server was Sarah, and Sarah was amazing. She was so peasant and attentive to the needs of the table. Sarah ensured we didn't want for anything, allowed us time to review the menu, and shared her insights on the new specialty menu items. Thanks to Sarah I ended up getting the Cheese Tortellini with Buffalo Chicken. Let me explain! I received the specialty menu, and my eyes immediately went to the Cheese Tortellini with Buffalo Chicken. I love Cheese Tortellini and I loveeeeeeeee Buffalo Chicken. Seeing them both together truly captivated me. Sarah advised that it has had nothing but good reviews, so I was sold and had to have it. The Cheese Tortellini with Buffalo Chicken was exactly what I needed. It was well seasoned, hearty, a great portion size, and best of all, it warmed my soul bite after bite. Anddddddddd, of course, I had pounds of fresh Parmesan cheese shredded on top of it. Ummmmmmm!!! This was exactly what I needed, and I must admit, I need it again this week!!!! If you are in the Stockbridge area and in need of something that pleases the soul, make time for The Italian Oven Restaurant asap.

Even though we usually sit down and enjoy a meal together, we just decided to get something quick. The location is super easy to get to and I've been in the vicinity too many times at Costco Business center and didn't even know this place even existed. Anyways, upon walking in.... The walls, furniture, and everything you can think of has someone's name or nickname written on it. They even began to write on the TV and the owners had to put a sign up saying not to write on the tv. I definitely laughed at that because who in their right mind would write on a tv, buuuuut they did smh. There are two different windows, one to order and one to pick up. I went to the order window and decided upon a steak and cheese with just mayo and lettuce and also an Italian. From the reviews I couldn't decide between the two so I got both lol. And I also got a slice of chocolate cake. The young man who took my order was very nice and we even laughed about how much I ordered.... For myself lol. While waiting for our food, we took a walk over to Burlington. We stayed over there for maybe 10-15mins and then walked back. Our orders were done probably about 5mins after we got back, if that. I sped all the way home because I could just smellllll my steak and cheese through the wrappings lol. Steak and cheese was really good. I would have preferred more meat though and kinda was expecting more because of how big the sandwich was. Like a lot more. But it was seasoned wellll. The Italian on the other hand was extremely salty. I was surprised because everyone talked about how good it was, but the saltiness was too much for me. I ate half of a half and had to discard the rest because I could stand the saltiness. I did eat the whole steak and cheese though. That chocolate cake was bomb though. As someone who bakes cakes all the time, it was nice and moist. It was in the fridge there but it didn't taste refrigerated at alllll. I wish I had gotten two of them instead of the Italian sub, but hey you live and you learn.

We had a reservation for 3 of us on a Friday night around 8:30. There is not a ton of parking on site but there is tons of parking around the neighborhood for free, so still lots of good options. Our table was ready right away and we had a lovely waitress who provided lots of good recommendations. She sold me on the prosciutto e melone drink which WOW so tasty and definitely could taste the prosciutto a little. For an appy, we got the burrata which was just perfect. For our entrees, we got the spinach tortellini (why do they never give a lot for tortellini!) which was a special for the evening and quite delicious. We paired it with the chicken parm which had to be the JUCIEST chicken parm ever oh my god and the fusili scallop mushroom pasta which was just perfect. We weren't going to get them immedialty but after our food arrived we decided to add on the fried artichokes which were such a fun and delicious side. Overall such a lovely meal!

We recently visited for the first time to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary with our 7 year old daughter in tow. (What are you going to do when you couldn't get a babysitter? ) We were late for our reservation (Atl traffic, amirite?), but they were kind to accommodate and we were sat outside under the stairs in a cozy little nook that seats about 4 total tables. Raina was our server. She was patient with our questions, our excited kiddo and my indecisiveness on what to order. (It all looked good!) Truth is, it WAS all good with very few dings on our experience. I'd love to return soon to get another feel for this spot. Either way, here were the highlights: - cocktails are unique and daring. I landed on the whispered serenade, a sage-butter washed gin beverage that was adorned with black pepper. Husband had the black manhattan which featured a house root beer cordial. Both were a good choice! - appetizers! I could've taken a swan dive into their burrata. It was simply picture perfect. We also ordered a special appetizer for the evening, which was salmon tartare. This was such a unique, lovely dish that balanced flavors and ingredients I'd never consider pairing together, but they came together beautifully. - dinner: husband opted for the chicken parm, which was chicken thigh. The breading was thick and crunchy and the plating of it was gorgeous. I'm not the biggest fan of chicken thigh, but it was yummy. I had the bucatini bolognese. I selected this because 1) it is my understanding they make their pasta in-house and 2) I ordered bucatini the night my husband proposed so it was a bit sentimental. I'll be honest, while the pasta was delightful, the bolognese wasn't my favorite. There was very little meat in the ragu and it seemed to make up in volume with a ton of roughly chopped, cooked onions. I like onions, but this felt out of place. Luckily everything else I ate redeemed this specific dish. - post-dinner: we wanted to get dessert, but we needed to get the kiddo back to our side of town. While we opted out of dessert, Raina did deliver two sippers of limoncello and a card signed by everyone at the restaurant. I thought this was a beautiful touch. My takeaway: this is a lovely, but casual enough restaurant where you're not breaking the bank on a special night out. Dishes are reasonably priced, service is friendly, food was delicious.

Free small parking lot in front. Free extra parking across the street. The total was about $150 for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 drinks, and a dessert. Pros The quiet, intimate, and classy atmosphere was exactly what I needed for my family. When we first arrived, our table was not ready and we had to wait outside. However we were given continuous updates on when the table would be ready, they apologized, and they were very understanding. Considering we were a large party in an intimate space, we understood and only waited about 20 minutes before the table was ready. You could tell the food was fresh, the orders came fast, and the service was amazing. The fresh in house pasta took everything to the next level. It was the perfect night out. Cons The establishment is intimate so I do not think it would ideal for extra large parties. I had a party of 8 at 8PM but I dont know if they could have accomodated us if it was any earlier during prime dinner time. I wish they had a better parking situation but its not bad and its free. Would I Recommend: Absolutely! I will be returning! No complaints. Follow me here on Yelp and @jessreviewss on Tik Tok/Instagram for more.

I randomly decided that I wanted Italian so we decided to check them out for the first time. Mezza Luna is located in a very small plaza with a tight parking lot. I'm so glad that I read the reviews in advance about parking, but I still wasn't prepared for what we saw. Surprisingly, there were 2 or 3 open spots when we visited around 7pm. We had reservations and were quickly seated after being greeted. The restaurant itself was quite intimate, offering only a few tables that were laid out in a manner that had us all quite close. But it worked! Since we had our son with us, they already had a high chair ready for us but he slept through the entire dinner, which also shows how peaceful it actually was in there. I started with a glass of chianti and it paired perfectly with the complimentary starter bread. That focaccia was so fresh! The crust had a great crunch but it was still soft and fluffy inside. We went with the meatball appetizer special which included 4-5 meatballs covered in marinara, fresh tomatoes and burrata. They were delicious, although the tomatoes being cold was a bit of a surprise. For dinner, I went for the chicken piccata and my partner opted for the chicken marsala. Both were great and packed with flavor. Such an unassuming place with tons of flavor waiting inside - perfect for date night or just a nice Italian dinner!
