We've really enjoyed this little stop! It's miles ahead of the other store on the island, in my opinion. They've got a huge selection. Food is pricey but that's expected on this remote cape. The made-to-order biscuits were sooo good. My only complaint is that we weren't able to try the donuts in the connecting shop! People line up at 5am and they ran out after we waited for an hour and a half. We got there an hour after open. read more

Went to look for souvenirs to remember our stay at CSB and we're not greeted as we walked in amongst what one can only call locals sitting to the right of the door talking loudly and vulgar. The " magnet souvenirs " were quite cute little inspirational animals but after looking through the Doric realized "Cape San Blas " was written in SHARPIE! it had rubbed off in places on several and was all but a faint lining on some ! There was a "boutique " that had some nice shirts and hoodies but expensive. My husband needed a can of Copenhagen and it was $8.65! We weren't thanked for stopping by either. I can't even explain why I love this little shop so much. They only really serve pizza you can get At most gas stations, but that's only The beginning. The people who work here are so dang friendly, and helpful. It's got a small grocery section, variety is limited, but it's everything you need. We were having trouble with some broken eggs in the cooler, trying to find a carton that had them all intact and a guy who worked there came Up and helped us trade out the good eggs for the bad eggs, ended up a full carton of Uncracked eggs. It may seem like a small gesture but it's exactly that that makes me love this place so much. I'm sure the staff got tired of seeing us as we always seemed to forget this or run out of that and have to stop back in almost every day. They have a pump out front to blow up your beach/pool inflatables! How nice is that?? read more

They have lots of things. Really good stuff. Everything you might need, including 10" phone and tablet chargers. Loads of postcards, sodas, bread, chips etc. Etc. Shells and even pizza made to order, last order taken at 7:00 pm. In the vicinity are other stores and shops. This is a really good place to get all your emergency and daily needs. Although her vocabulary is limited and most remarks are just intended for her coworkers, the Karen show is not to be missed. I absolutely fell in love with the Trading Post on our first visit to the Cape last fall. We had most of our groceries delivered but we found ourselves stopping by the post almost daily to pick up an item or two (and almost always beer). I was very impressed by the amount of grocery store items they stock and at reasonable prices. The staff is super friendly and I highly recommend stopping in for a breakfast biscuit, all made from scratch, not like a premade biscuit you would pick up at a gas station. read more

I went to eat at the Edy's ice cream joint attached to the grocery shop. After waiting in line for 45 minutes, and the same person had been at the front of the line for 30 minutes. Then, they closed very suddenly and turned away almost 30 people in line. Luckily the grocery store was open long enough to grab some blue bell, but the staff was rushing people out to close and when my dad went back in to get his keys after leaving him, they were rude. Have been coming here for years during our family 4th of July beach retreats. They are one of two places located on the cape for your last minute items to pickup from beer, to ice, and even subs and pizza made to order. They have decent selection of fishing and snacks items. No gas but better alcohol selection of the two places and their ice cream and donuts are a few staples that people will wait in line for an hour for. read more

They have everything you could possibly need for last minute meals or beach things that you have forgotten. The Cape Trading Post literally has everything you need. They have a full line grocery, fresh produce, fresh hand-cut meats, Hunts Brother's Pizza, fun gifts and souvenirs with some super cute t-shirts! They also have beer and wine and their own liquor store along with bait and fishing stuff, camping supplies and basically everything else you can think of. It definitely is convenient since it is right on the cape and you don't have to drive into town to go to the Pig. They also have awesome biscuits in the morning! The owners have always been super nice and helpful every time I have gone in. I think I heard someone say once that if the Trading Post doesn't have it, then you don't need it! read more

We have been coming here for years and this place always has what we need in a pinch. When you come to the Cape, you come here because you don't like the hustle and bustle of Destin, PCB, etc, so what you see is what you get. They have some great souvenir t-shirts, fish bait, and beautiful steaks and chicken for last minute grilling. The owners are GREAT people and listen to their customers. Where else on the Cape can you buy horseradish, soy milk, fresh vegetables, and beer?? The donut shop is Weber's (not owned by the Trading Post) and is open Tues-Sat mornings...well worth the wait in line!! If you want high-end, high dollar groceries, go to Rosemary Beach, but if you want easy going, laid back real beach, come to the Cape. read more

The staff at Cape Trading Post went above and beyond when we visited their store in Cape San Blas. One of the men who worked there saw our tire was low and got a hose to fill the tire with air and provided us with the number of a trusted mechanic who could patch it. They also allowed us to buy slices of pizza even though they had stopped selling them. The store has everything you need and is nice and clean inside. Would definitely go back again! We've had a chance to pop into all the little shops along the Cape at this point, and we think this place has the best souvenir t-shirts hands down. Tons to choose from, high quality, and fun prints. They of course also have most of the random necessities you may have forgotten or run out of. I even saw soy milk! That's pretty cool. read more

Tried to order some pizza from them 55 minutes before their Facebook page listed closing hour and they refused my order. A business that refuses business before closing hours I just don't get at all. This market is small but very convenient to the cape. The good thing about them is that they are not gouging their customers. I went down the street to Scallope Cove who wanted over $8 for a regular box of gr crackers. Trading Post price half that. Not as cheep as walmart but I don't have to drive the 1 hour to walmart either. In addition the staff are always friendly and very free with fishing or scalloping advice. read more

This little neighborhood store had a massive facelift and resurgence when the wonderful new owners took over roughly 8 years ago. The store is clean as a whistle, they stock everything you could need and go out of their way to stock special requests. Their prices are fair and their service is friendly and caring. Friendly and have enough staff to ensure that your order is taken quickly and processed. The to go food is good - especially when you arrive late and cannot be bothered cooking. Good selection. The store has everything - I mean EVERYTHING. The prices are reasonable considering that they are one of the few places on the cape. Some reviewers have bemoaned the hours....I think that its unreasonable to expect that a place like this will stay open late in off season. There is also a liquor store, a donut shop and a great ice cream store (who also sell coffee). I wouldn't expect to get your whole week's grocery shop here - but it is certainly convenient for the one or two things you forgot. read more

We found this place super convenient!! Great pizza for a quick lunch and some groceries so you don't have to drive to PSJ. My complaint.... we bought a shirt the day we left as well as a stuffed whale. Got home and the next day went to wear the shirt. Had a huge hole in it!!! The whale ripped open on the way home the day before. I called and told them about the shirt and the young lady simply said "that's terrible"! No offer to replace it and really nothing else to say. Super disappointing considering how much we spent there over the week. Certainly would've liked to be able to enjoy my shirt read more
