I had braces taken off in Australia over 10 years now. At that time I had a lingual bar put on the top and bottom set of my teeth to keep them in place once the braces had come off. I initially went in telling him that the lingual bar on the back of my teeth needed to be replaced because one tooth had become dislodged from the glue. But after he closely examined it, he said he could just repair the glue down there and it would fix the problem. He looked at my top lingual bar (which had been replaced by another Orthodontist in NY 1.5 years ago) and could see the material had started to deteriorate in my mouth and recommended he take it off and replace it. When he took it off, he found my teeth had some small gaps in between them, so recommended (if I wanted to close the gaps - and I did) I wear a retainer for a month or so. We had that made, I wore it for 6 weeks and the gaps closed up. Yesterday I went in and he put the new lingual bar on the back of my top teeth. I am very happy with the final outcome and will recommend Dr Sweder to my friends. I should also mention that his receptionist, Michelle is a lovely warm person who makes you feel welcome when you come into the office everytime. Dr Sweder worked with me to create a solution to fix my teeth when I didn't have orthodontic insurance and I amvery appreciative of this.

It's a very nice office with really clean and modern facilities. Dr. Sanchez is very caring and down to earth. what I really like about him is that he will not make things up to get you to do random fillings and other procedures. I've been to other dentists who would point out over 15 cavities that need "fillings" and try to get you in for these procedures ASAP. But when pointing them out to Dr. Sanchez he would just tell me that it's only a stain, etc and that we can keep an eye on it. In my experience, he seems well trained and knowledgeable, doesn't force things on you and leaves everything up to your decision without pressure. They also have another location in Brooklyn, around sunset which is also convenient if you live in Brooklyn. The only downside is that appointments can be harder to get because they're always busy. So last minute appointments are difficult but 1-2 weeks in advance is kind of okay, still not super flexible (but that's a good thing right? Haha)

She neglected to mention that it is incredibly easy to get cavities while using Invisalign and she didn't discuss that she planned on shaving spaces between my teeth to create more room in my mouth until she was doing it. I didn't have time to consider what the ramifications of her shaving spaces between my teeth could be. Ultimately she created too much space and i now have gaps between my teeth. When I complained of the gaps she refused to fix them saying that my teeth were now straight and that was what I wanted, I stated that I didn't care about the straightness of my teeth (they were basically fine before all this) and that I had come because of my bite, which was also not fixed. She looked up her notes and found my statements to be correct after which she said nothing. I do not recommend this orthodontist. I'm going to have to get braces again to fix the problems she created.

I started going to Dr Bellafiore about 8 years ago, and after a good bit of necessary work and a new carefully calibrated nightguard, I am completely pain free. It's been over 6 years since the bulk of the work was done. My teeth feel stable and strong. Amazing! I continue to visit the office twice a year for cleanings. Marie, the dental hygenist, does a wonderful job helping me maintain my teeth. Lisa at the front desk keeps things running smoothly. Each member of the staff that I have come in contact with is professional, cheerful, and kind. It's a pleasure to go there. The offices have been recently renovated too!

I was told a price ahead of time and when I checked out it was 200 dollars more I questioned it and was told because they went through my crown instead of my actual tooth.. I ended up just paying but definitely had a bad taste in my mouth. Get this even after I paid more than what I was quoted I'm still getting a bill! The worst part about all of this is that I ended up getting this very tooth extracted it was causing me so much pain still! Turns out they left part of a tool from the root canal in my canal and cement. After going and getting a cone scan my dentist confirmed! It's so obvious on the X-ray too. I lost my tooth and they still want more money from me! I say run as fast as you can. I'm in the process of getting a lawyer. I want my money back. This has caused me so much emotional stress and anxiety.

The chip repair bonding fell off at day 8 without any pressure on it at the time. I went back, and they took me fairly fast. The dentist TODAY fixed the chip again, filing away a lot more (which I didn't know). 5 hours later the repair has fallen out, and I find that he decided to 'created a bigger bond' by filing away more of my front tooth, thinning it out twice as far as the original crack. 5 hours. It fell out when I was brushing my teeth for the night. I will not be going back, and I this point I feel the dentist is not qualified to do this procedure.

They are efficient but do not rush, and I've never waited more than 5 minutes to go back for my appointment. If something more than a cleaning is needed, the office checks on insurance for you so there are no surprises on any costs, and they make sure all options are reviewed and discussed so you can make an informed decision. The office itself is very nice, and they have TVs you can watch during cleanings. I have seen other dentists in NYC and nothing compares to Leaf -- highly recommend.

My tooth has been sensitive to cold and pressure ever since. It was fine before. Now I need a very expensive root canal. Bococa Dental has never apologized to me for causing such pain and expense. They simply told me "this sometimes happens." So Bococa Dental made an appointment for me at their office with an endodontist to do a root canal. Since my dental expenses with this practice exhausted my insurance coverage for 2021, my appointment was today (1/7/22) at 9:00. Bococo Dental included an appointment reminder in a statement they mailed to me dated 10/15/21. When I called their office at 8:00 on this snowy morning they told me my appointment had been canceled, and that "they tried to leave me several messages last August." I never received any such message by phone, text, or mail. So I am switching to another dentist. Horrible experience in so many ways. Note: after I posted this the dentist who owns the practice wrote and called me to apologize for mishandling my appointment. I appreciated the call. Still moving on to find a different dentist office.

It was rather shocking to have the first cavities of my life at 30! Anyway, one of the fillings was extremely painful for months afterward and the dentist who did the work wanted to redo the filling, saying "I might have cracked your tooth". Needless to say I was in the market for a new dentist and a friend of mine (knowing I was going to NY) referred me to Dr. Horri. She agreed to see me even though she really does cosmetic stuff. I was so happy with her, that now I go there when I need to see the dentist. She earned my trust by explaining that minor decay in the enamel can just as well be watched and given extra brushing etc. She didn't see a reason to make a bigger hole for no reason. It really made me wonder if I needed that painful filling in the first place. Anyway - besides knowing that I can count on her not to pressure me into treatments that I don't need - I got my teeth whitened, just a little botox, and lips plumped (that was conservatively done as well - so my mouth doesn't look like an inner tube). After looking at all the before and afters from the major mouth makeovers, I was almost convinced that I should have veneers - she talked me out of that!

Matter of fact, he was so informative about the questions about nightguard (for grinding teeth) that I went back a couple of weeks later to get a nightguard made by him. I had requested to have my equipment removed before a big event, and that request was denied. Months later, I was given a permanent retainer after explicitly stating I did not want one. I was also being worked on by a student, and was stabbed in the mouth multiple times. I finally got my permanent retainer removed, however all the glue remained on the back of my teeth. During my 8 months with the permanent retainer, i was in the office every other week with a broken wire. Overall, the office is now under new, poor management and you should not bring your money to this business.
