    Gnocchi
    Stephanie L.

The food here is just okay. The prices are a little high ($21 for a 12 inch pizza) but the portions are large. I would be fine to pay the prices if the food was better... even if the portion size went down. It was similar to an Olive Garden to me. Just subpar "Italian," nothing authentic or that would make me want to come back. My party tried the calamari and zucchini fritte to start. The zucchini were bland. The calamari was the best part of the entire meal, typical calamari appetizer. For my entree I had the pesto gnocchi. The portion was huge, it looked like an entire package of gnocchi. But the sauce hardly had any flavor. So yeah, it's nice that you get a ton of food, but if it's bland does it even matter? It's too bad, because the inside is really cute.

    Birthday cannoli

We came for a birthday lunch celebration. We ate bruschetta for our appetizer-large portions. Three of us got pizzas and the other two ate pasta fagioli soup, Caesar salad, and meatballs. In addition to the complimentary cannoli we also ate the scrumptious tiramisu. Our waitress was attentive. She cleared the table to create more space and she boxed up our leftovers. The restaurant had an elegant ambience with the ceiling decorated and nice tablecloths and settings.

New! Hurry, don't sleep on this well rounded Italian place in Lutz! Less than a mile from the veterans! The place is Instagramable with irs beautiful ceiling treatment and the lounge nook near the wine wall. We were a large party, so we had a room that had a literal garden on the ceiling. Our waitress, Maddie was a Star. She paced everything beautifully, made sure we knew the story behind the chef, and even happily answered questions, got refills and bread. The food was delicious! I ordered the Zucchini Fritte and chicken Parmagiana. The batter on the zucchini was so light and crisp. It was delicious. The chicken Parmigiana was nicely done, though i prefer the chicken to be a bit crispier. All in all it was an amazing birthday for our Mina! Will most definitely come back in the near future, If I can get a reservation!

Came here to try since the grand opening was on April 1. I must say in general if you are looking for good authentic italian food in a great atmosphere this is your place. The owners all came up to the table and introduced themselves and the server Savannah was excellent. She was on top of everything. Had a long conversation with the owner Rob about the concept. You can definitely see his passion in this place. We started with Nona's meatballs and the Margarita pizza. Both were great. The meatballs were perfect without the over taste of fennel as well as not being overpacked with breadcrumbs. The pizza was amazing, the sauce was so fresh. We also got the Alfredo that is flambéed in the Parmesan wheel. This was not only a great meal for more than 2 people but also an awesome show. This will be a new date night spot for us. Definitely recommend making reservations.

Tried this new Italian restaurant for lunch- definitely had some big shoes to fill after Nabruzzi. The crispy calamari was nicely cooked but needed a little more flavor. Mussels were overcooked. Pasta dishes were very good, and the lunch specials and portion sizes made it worth it. Service wasn't the best and felt a bit slow, but overall the food showed promise. Will give it another try in the future, maybe after having some time to grow.

My issue has been resolved by my own means. That's all I wish to speak about the matter.

    Garlic knot with jar garlic

Overall this place is like a 2/5 for me. I'll preface this with saying that they did comp my eggplant parm meal so I appreciate that. The restaurant looks nice and definitely is brighter than the last place that was at this location. Glass of wine was fine. To start, staff seems a bit immature and unprofessional. The garlic knots they bring out are unpalatable, the garlic is just scooped out of a jar- it was just not good at all. I ordered the eggplant parm and almost choked on the cheese. There was no crispiness or crust on the eggplant as described in the menu, it was all soggy and bare. Additionally, the dish only included approximately 2 little slices of eggplant and like half a box of spaghetti. The spaghetti had absolutely no flavor and the sauce was just plopped on top. While they did comp my food, the dish costs $25!!! That is a lot of money for something of such low quality. I hate to leave a bad review, but I do not recommend this restaurant.

    Chicken Alla Vodka

The food was quite good and the the restaurant is huge and decor is unique. Pricing on point as well. But I am specifically writing this to call out the AMAZING service by the Asst. GM Bree. Bree went above and beyond to ensure that we had a good experience. Some hiccups at the start but I won't even mention them because Bree treated us like VIP and checked in with us throughout the meal. It was my hubby's bday and she had 3 desserts personally brought to our table. We will be back. Make a reservation because the place is crowded.

Great little Italian place. All the usual suspects prepared fresh. Very nice for a casual dinner. Make a reservation! They will turn you away even if it's mostly empty when you arrive, they fill up quickly!

One part of the dinning area- very open & bright and inviting.

Food is delish. Service is great , Brielle is a wonderful waitress.it's beautiful inside the restaurant. Very clean . You have to see for yourself.

Lasagna! Excellent recommendation from our server, Rayna!

Back in October, I made a reservation for 20 people for a January dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday. I had heard the week before that Max sold the restaurant, but at that point it was too late to find another place that could accommodate such a large group. Our reservation was at 4:00 pm. When I walked in at 4:03 with my son, there was a man standing by the pizza oven on his cell phone. I initially thought he was a customer waiting for food since there was no acknowledgment at all. After a few minutes, a couple of cooks walked out, looked at us, and said nothing. The man continued texting and then, very coldly, asked, "How can I help you?" I told him I was there for the party of 20, and he responded, "They're in the back," with no warmth or professionalism. As someone who worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade, I was honestly shocked by the greeting. Once seated, I informed our server that both my brother and I have celiac disease and that eating gluten-free is a serious medical necessity. Normally, servers acknowledge this and reassure guests that they'll speak with the kitchen. Instead, she said nothing and walked away while I was still speaking. The appetizers were fine, but the main courses were extremely disappointing. I ordered the gluten-free veal marsala, a dish I've had countless times at Nabruzzi over the years. This was easily one of the worst versions I've ever had...completely bland, with large chunks of garlic instead of properly minced, and so unappetizing I couldn't finish it. My husband ordered the pollo florentine and described it as something our four-year-old could have made. The presentation was equally poor; the food looked like it had simply been thrown onto the plates. The server never once checked on us after the food was delivered, which should happen within the first few bites. I also brought a birthday cake for my dad, and it was served before all the dinner plates were cleared. As we were leaving, the owner simply said, "Have a good one." It's clear that the new owner has little to no experience in the restaurant or service industry, which is incredibly disappointing. Nabruzzi was once a warm, friendly Italian restaurant and a hidden gem in Lutz...a place our family truly loved and visited often because it felt welcoming and close to home. Sadly, after this experience, we will not be returning.

The food quality and flavor is excellent. I love the bread with olive oil served before the meal. I ordered veal and it was also excellent and the pasta is delicious too. We ordered the Romano pizza as an appetizer and it was ok. Unfortunately our food took a loooooong time to come out. The pizza probably took 30 minutes. We asked for the salads to come out at the same time but again had to wait. My salad had no dressing on it so I had to ask for it which they did send out. The meals again took quite awhile to come out. I will say our server was friendly, but the kitchen just took forever with everything. I will definitely come back because the food is so good. Hopefully this was just an off night.

No drink refills, and we had to flag someone down just to get our check and to-go boxes. We started with a Caesar salad after finding out the octopus carpaccio (which we were excited to try) had run out -- the salad was fine but pretty unremarkable. We also ordered the Montecristo pizza with burrata, which looked great in theory, but the burrata was not evenly distributed -- piled onto one side, leaving the rest of the pizza bare. The crust itself was floppy with no real flavor -- no standout sauce or seasoning. Honestly, I think I could make a better pie at home on my Gozney. Our friends weren't impressed either -- the lasagna was underwhelming, and the cheese pizza they ordered (with a request for extra cheese) came out with no extra cheese at all. Disappointing overall, especially given the price point and the reviews. Might try again someday to see if it was an off night, but not in a rush to go back.

Hunter was our server and did a very good job taking care of our table throughout the evening. The restaurant was quite busy, so there was a little bit of a delay between receiving our appetizers and placing our entrée order, but after that everything flowed smoothly. We started with the Alto Adige Pizza -- prosciutto and cheese done in a very authentic Italian style. Absolutely delicious, although at $23 it felt a bit pricey for a pizza. We also ordered the Arancini, which were authentic, flavorful, and perfect for sharing with the table. Two of us ordered Caesar salads with extra anchovies. The anchovies were the pickled style and paired perfectly with the salad. For entrées, two of us ordered the Crostata, which I would describe as somewhat like an Italian shepherd's pie -- pasta, sausage, cheese, and sauce baked together into a pie-style dish. It already comes fairly spicy, and since I asked for extra spicy, it definitely had nearly too much heat! I probably should have tried it as originally prepared first, I think it would have been perfect. That said, it was rich, hearty, and excellent. Portion size was over the top. I took half of it home for lunch or dinner the next day. My wife ordered the Eggplant Rollatini and absolutely loved it. For dessert, we shared the Cannoli Dip Dessert, which was outstanding and ideal for the table. Crispy shells with cinnamon served with sweet cannoli cream for dipping -- simple and delicious. I liked it better than an authentic cannoli. All in all, it was a terrific first visit with authentic flavors, great atmosphere, and very enjoyable food. Looking forward to returning.

We were seated promptly. It's very small and cozy inside. The chef comes out and greets you, he also helped us pick a wine which was very good and exactly what we were looking for. We started with the salumi e robiola ($45) which was the charcuterie. It was good, but nothing that blew me away and incredibly expensive. I understand that most everything is imported from Italy, but we definitely had sticker shock. We also started with cozze blu alla veneto (mussels - $27). These were very good and flavorful. We ordered two pastas to share and we got the caprese salad and a tomato and gouda soup as a starter. The caprese salad was literally five mozzarella pearls with some balsamic. The tomato and gouda soup was probably some of the best soup I've ever had. Rich, hearty, creamy. I can't say enough good things. The two pastas we got were the funghi misti trifolati ($49) and the salsiccia e peperoncino arrosto ($53). For some reason, and I feel like this has to be a fluke, the funghi pasta had almost no flavor. Not even earthiness from the mushrooms. I don't really know what happened there because even if I have issues with portion size or price, everything had great flavor, something was just off with this one. The salsiccia pasta was very very spicy. We added ricotta which was a good balance and it was cooked to perfection. For dessert we got basically a deconstructed cannoli. No hostess when we walked in--just a basket with menus and a clear expectation to fend for ourselves. Ordering involved walking up to a lone register, selecting everything upfront (soups, salads, mains, drinks, dessert), and tipping before any interaction or service. That felt a bit premature, especially since there wasn't an option to simply request another drink mid-meal without repeating the process entirely. Water was self-serve, with empty cups handed to us on a tray, along with a table number stand to place wherever we chose to sit. We opted for the patio--less noisy and free from the Chuck E. Cheese-like energy happening inside. The bread and dip? Absolutely phenomenal. Three petite slices served with a rich olive oil herb dip that was easily the highlight. We regretted skipping appetizers (mostly fried), though the Caprese salad sounded promising in hindsight. For mains, we tried the Friday special--shrimp scampi. The shrimp arrived separate from the noodles, which was fine once we combined them. The portion felt underwhelming given the oversized plate. Our server made two brief appearances--to deliver the bread and then the entrée. Drinks were okay. I ordered an adult lemonade that tasted great but came in a tiny glass. I considered a second, but the idea of trekking back inside, reordering, and pre-tipping again wasn't appealing--especially with a wait of 15+ minutes for that first drink. Dessert was tempting--gelato looked amazing. If we return, it might just be for a to-go treat. Overall, the food wasn't bad, and friends have had great experiences with their catering. But the dine-in experience felt fragmented and impersonal. I'm curious to try their Lutz location--though takeout sounds more appealing than navigating this format again.

I got the cheese ravioli and requested cheese on top. It was bland. The bread they serve at the table is yummy and I love that they have crisp Coke products from the fountain. It just hits in a good way when you have a nice crisp Coke! Staff was friendly. Seating is open -- you walk in and place your order at the register, given a table number and you choose your seat. Indoor and outside seating available. Dessert and coffee bar is separate and you pay separate too.
