We ordered the Beets & Balsamic appetizer and everything about it was wonderful. Both entrees (salmon and short rib ravioli) were both full of flavor and cooked well. The seating was comfortable. Fusion Italian w/ unique dishes Loved the squash Agnolotti! So rich, creamy. No wonder this dish is one of their big sellers. Short rib ravioli was good. Oven roasted grapes was fun to try but the soft grape texture isn't my favorite on the focaccia. We came to try this as another restaurant had a longer wait. Glad we did. We started with the spring mix salad which was delightful. It had some great, fresh ingredients. My wife did the short rib with the garlic mashed potatoes and carrots. It was delicious. I had to go with the gnocchi, which had a creamy sauce as well as a ragú. Man that was tasty! The highlight of the whole dining experience though was our server, Win. He was informative and helpful but so much fun. We now have a new friend that we hope to come back and see. I can see why this place is so influencer friendly! The vibe is super cool and the mixed drinks are delicious. Surprisingly a good wine list for by the glass! They do have some that aren't on the menu for different varietals so make sure you ask if you want something like a Malbec! Overall my dinner was good I got the gluten free crust on the hot honey pizza. I think it could've used more pepperoni and cheese but otherwise it was yummy. The gnocchi is what my friend got and they loved it. Didn't love the steak add on as it was "chewy" I loved the atmosphere and my server was friendly but a little forgetful (we have all been there) just repeating things to reorder it felt like. I think the affogato was the best dessert on the menu. For the overall price it's nice but I would want there to be more gf pasta options. At this point gnocchi is so easily made to be gluten free but there's is not. I specifically asked. So overall I had a good meal but was limited on GF options. Love the ambiance of this place! We got a $21 margarita that wasn't very good and didn't come with salt or lime, the waitress did make sure to bring it back to the bar to get it dressed. Service was quite slow on a Thursday night, it took about 15 minutes for our bruschetta to come out and then another 30+ minutes for the rest of our food. Went back for an anniversary dinner. Fantastic. We kicked it off with the Beets & Balsamic appetizer, wow. Shared a Fig and Prosciutto pizza while splitting the bone in rib eye. Both were fantastic. The pizza was nice because we used the crust to sop up the dressing from the beets and balsamic while the prosciutto and fig were spot on. The bone in rib eye was huge so we split that and was the perfect amount for two people. We closed it out with the bread pudding and panna cotta. Everything tasted amazing. But the attention and warmth from Samantha and Gunner put it over the top. Great recommendations and suggestions on both entrées and beverages made our night. We can't wait to go back to try something else and will be asking to be seated in their areas. Oh, Jean Pierre was live and everything he performed was perfect. Wow - what an unsuspecting spot. This is located in a strip mall with plenty of party. But when you enter, the trendy atmosphere surprises you. The cucumber basil was light and refreshing, altho I did think there was a LOT of ice. We then ordered an appetizer and our entrees. The appetizer was mediocre. But our entrees we really enjoyed. Overpriced and the food quality is not good. Three experiences here and each time it has gotten worse. $11 for a bottle of Pellegrino.

We went on a triple date to Scelto last night. Sadly, it was not a great experience. It began by us getting a table right next to a singer/guitarist that had a loud speaker. We asked if we could get a different table since this was my first time introducing my boyfriend to my siblings and I wanted them to be able to converse. The women at the restaurant was very rude and basically said it wasn't her problem, so we spent the evening not being able to hear one another. Next, they came to the table to pour our water, but stood at one side while we all passed our glasses down to the waitress then she filled them and we all passed them back down the line. The same thing happened with the small plates later. My brother had to stop the waiter as he was walking off to ask for a coke, then the waiter walked off without asking the rest of us what we'd like to drink. The next time the waiter came by my boyfriend stopped him to ask for sparkling water, which he said yes then started walking off before I grabbed him and asked him to get my sister and other brother's drink order. Once we got our food, one of the meals was a type of pasta that was not cooked and very stretchy. It was inedible. Because the waiter never came to our table, they could not replace it in a timely manner. I had to sit and watch for the waiter to come by any of the surrounding tables to try to get his attention to come over. By the time I was able to do that, almost everyone was finished eating and it was too late to get a new meal. Once the tickets came, the appetizers were on the wrong bills, the hefty tip was already included, and for one meal, an appetizer, and a drink it was over a hundred dollars. It was a lousy first introductory dinner for my boyfriend and siblings. The night was not good because of the restaurant we chose. I would not recommend again. *addition-waleska, you are speaking about my sister-in-law who was celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary, not me, the blonde (as you can see in my photo). Please let me clarify your comments... No one ever asked If we'd like another table when I was there, and I was the second one there and the one that made the reservations. Second, yes, you came to the table, placed your arm behind my brother and leaned in towards him completely inappropriately, since he is married and celebrating his anniversary. I'm there one that politely said we would appreciate the volume being lowered because we could not hear one another. Yes, you came back and asked my brother and sister-in-law again and the volume was fine at that moment, but it proceeded to get louder and louder once again, where everyone at the tables around us were yelling, to talk over the singer and we could no longer hear each other. Some people at the table just stopped talking completely for most of the night, and the rest of us leaned across the table half the time because we couldn't hear one another. Third, yes, you came over and asked if she would like the meal replaced to go, which she politely declined, because we were all nearly finished eating and she isn't the type to eat leftovers cold at home, alone, on her anniversary. Interesting that you didn't mention all the other problems that arose during the night, including that I had to track down a server to help because they did not come to the table to check on us once, probably because they were getting a tip, even though they were giving poor service. I am the director of business development for an 18 company conglomerate. I run the customer service and sales teams for those companies. If I worked like you, showing a lack of accountability, respect for my customers, or ability to properly fix a problem, I would lose my customers, just as you have tonight. read more

Omg! Hidden gem tucked off the main road. Staff and Service were amazing. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Server promptly informed us of the two specials for the evening. We had a Pear appetizer and a bread and Brea ensemble. Had the blackened lobster fettuccini and it was super flavorful. Portions were great size and we ended up taking some home. Menu selection is not huge, but of the dishes we had they were all good. I especially appreciated some of the creativity they put in some of their dish combos. So many good dishes. If you haven't been here, you should stop by. Great for date night or special occasions. Prices are slightly lower than other fancy restaurants without having to drive all the way downtown. They have some of the best desserts. Ample parking out front. Music was at a reasonable level allowing for great conversations. A/C was on point and comfortable. Second one was grapes cooked in skillet with bread and melted Brie was ok. I had the lasagna that was cooked unusual with melted cheese and meat sauce. At $25 it was a little mushy. Ingredients were fresh, just not executed well. Ordered two glasses of Pinot noir that were ok. Wanted to love this place but it's pricey and missed the mark. Service was average. Grabbed some dinner with my best friend and decided to try this place out. The vibe settings is great for a date night out with your significant other. Our waiter was great and tentative and recommended the specials for the night which we got the spaghetti with clams in a lemon sauce, and I got the carbonara. Alongside we started with Caesar salad and calamari. The calamari had a great crispy texture and salad was fresh. Our waiter let us know that for some reason some orders didn't go to kitchen so it'll be a bit longer than expected because they need to re fire food and make the ones that went in after the error. We were so caught up on our conversation, but eventually realized it took an hour for our main dishes to come out! Or waiter was apologetic about it so he still provided good service. The special clams in a lemon sauce was better than my carbonara. Overall I would give this place another try but had a bit more higher expectations! read more

As a Yelp Elite member, one of my goals this year is to eat at as many Italian restaurants as I can here in Utah. There are a lot of spots getting a lot of buzz on social media, Scelto is one of those places. First things first, service was great. Hosts, servers, management, everyone was so nice and attentive. We have a 15 month old toddler who's full of energy, so the staff was always really nice to her. Let's talk about the food. In short, I expected much more. The best part of our meal--which my wife and I agreed on--was what we titled the best focaccia of any Italian restaurant we've been to in Utah SO FAR. It was crunchy on the outside but so, so fluffy and delicious on the inside. Also, very warm with a "just out of the oven" feeling. Lemon butter and Olive oil butter were stellar and made the focaccia shine even brighter. Brussel sprouts with pancetta were okay. Nothing out of this world. We wanted more char and crispiness out of it. I hate comparisons, but Nomad East understands the assignment when it comes to the wow factor for a Brussels sprouts starter. We're glad we tried it, Brussels sprouts are a favorite in our household. Chicken Parmesan was also just okay. Chicken was textbook, arugula was actually a nice surprise with a good pop of acidity. The pasta was kind of a letdown. Without a piece of chicken or some arugula, it was just bland. The sauce lacked flavor and that deep tomato and basil punch you get from good Marinara. Spaghetti and meatballs. I won't talk about the pasta because after I ate the dish I just talked about, I was afraid the pasta for the meatballs would be exactly the same. It was. Let's talk about the meatballs. Good flavor, a little dense and not as juicy as other meatballs I've had before--homemade or restaurant quality. Lasagna. This was my wife's entree. I took about two bites out of it and along with the focaccia it was the best bite of the day. Out of curiosity, I took some of the bolognese from the lasagna and mixed with the marinara spaghetti and that was such a delightful little bite. Overall, I'm glad we tried Scelto, as we make our way through Utah's Italian food scene. I don't know if we'll come back, but I hope one day we have an exciting reason to come back. read more

I was starving after my Dr's appointment and wanted to try out this new Italian restaurant in the valley. I looked online and it said they opened at 11:00am. Great! So I drive over there with great anticipation only to find out they open at 4:00pm. What do I do now? I went online to find a new Italian restaurant that is close by and open. Scelto came up, and it said they were open... Great! I've wanted to check out this place after seeing someone post about it online. When I got out of the car I noticed a guy with a big camera filming I asked him if he was filming a commercial, he said "Something like that." I said are they open? He said "Yes." I was wondering because their open sign wasn't on and it looked very dark and empty. When I walked in out of the sun it took a minute for my eyes to adjust, and was promptly greeted warmly. There were cameras, and crew all over and you could feel the energy of anticipation. After I was seated, a nice young man came over, and asked to sign a release form incase I was in any of the filming by chance, you know like background extras eating at an upscale restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful and has a romantic feel to it and price. I wouldn't bring your young kids here although I'm sure they would be welcomed. The hostess came over and asked me if I wanted anything to drink. She didn't bring a drink menu with me so I just asked if they had an Espresso Martini. She said it wasn't on the menu, but she would ask if they could make one. She came back and said they could. Yay! Finally the waiter came over and took my order. I was really starving, so I ordered the beet salad and the spaghetti and meatballs. The beet salad is AWESOME, filling, and delicious. The dressing was a light vinaigrette. Just slightly more than I would normally add to my salad, but not heavy enough I couldn't eat it. Then the spaghetti came out. It wasn't plated very well and the pasta was way over cooked on the mushy side. The Bolognese sauce was too think. (I wouldn't suggest getting something else off the menu.) I think the waiter was a little bit preoccupied with what was going on in the restaurant that he wasn't able to provide the best service to me. He was the waiter to the "Stars" being filmed. (Rumor has it the show will be on a well known streaming service) *According to the owner they were filming season one, episode one.* I had to ask for a dessert menu. I should have asked to see what the desserts looked like before I ordered. I ordered the Tiramisu and I didn't like it at all. It's not an authentic Tiramisu that you would get in Italy. It was 98% creamy made with - latte | mascarpone | ritual chocolate | hazelnut. I was getting ready to leave, when the waiter said he was asked to ask me if I could stay a little longer while they were still filming. I said sure if you buy me a cup of coffee. I was joking of course but he did. I stayed for quite awhile, but It was uncomfortable actually just sitting there with cameras all around. I paid in cash with a very large tip and I didn't even get a thank you. I thought that was odd and unsettling actually. So that's my adventure trying out a new place. read more

Oli was our server - he was knowledgeable of the menu and recognized we may want to pace our meal so we could enjoy the live music. (This skill is so rare in many restaurants.) The baked goat cheese, brussels and chicken parm are all recommended. They have a nice selection of wines and a decent beer list. The ambience is elevated. Everyone was smiling but I don't know if that had to do with me. Great decor with happy people in booths, at tables, and the bar. I would bring a date here...but not a first date. So let's dive into why. *Beef Carpaccio $19 was partially frozen. Once thawed it was fine. None of the flavors stood out. Not even the capers. I'd skip next time *Lasagna $25 was also meh. Not great and basic with as little Italian seasoning as possible to call it Italian. I'll use the word "safe". I don't need a spicy Italian sausage or crushed red peppers but it would help this beef along. This was recommended by my amazing server but this too I shall pass. As mentioned the staff was great although. Notable mention was a young woman buser was walking around with an ear bud in having a conversation on the phone. She passed by me four or five time over the course of the evening have a good time on the phone. I find it odd this is allowed. The service was mostly amazing in this hip restaurant with a nice wine list and full bar. The food however was not to the level I expected but its price was fair. I really wanted to love this place-the social media influencers made it look amazing, and they were right. It's beautiful, classy and the ambience is perfect for a date night. But there were some important things that went south this week when my wife and I visited for a nice dinner. The good: * Everything about this restaurant is visually appealing. Someone took good care to make it beautiful. It is! * The server was very relatable-friendly, authentic and attentive. * The wine and cocktail menu are terrific. The raspberry vodka concoction was dreamy! * The bread plate is amazing-paired with the butter *chef's kiss!* The bad: * The noodles in the spaghetti were incredibly mushy and not palatable. They heated up later even worse. * Both my wife and I had tummy trouble the rest of the night after our meal. I'm not saying the food was bad, but something didn't sit right with us-and we had different things. * My wife had the chicken parmesan and said it was not great. It could be personal preference, but the followed frequent bathroom visits didn't bode well for the overall experience. I wish I could give them a 3.8. They don't quite deserve a 4 in my opinion. The restaurant itself is in a little strip mall, which is odd. Weird location. The interior is absolutely beautiful. The design is stunning and very unique. The service is decent but our waitress was slow to check on us after we got our food as well as giving us our check. The portions are small. The Bianca pizza was alright but didn't have a lot of chicken. It also didn't have a ton of flavor. It tasted like it was missing something. The carbonara needs help. The noodles were soooo mushy. The sauce was off and it needed more flavor - like pepper, cheese, or garlic. It just tasted so salty due to the pancetta but it was overly salty. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back! Our server, Oli(ver) was amazing. They changed the menu the day we came in, but he got us the Burrata & Peaches from yesterday's menu. (There's a newer buratta with pears on the updated menu that sounds good, too.) The Blanca pizza was great. The chicken, peppers, and goat cheese were a perfect combination, but the crust was so perfect that I'm sure any pizza here would be amazing, with whatever toppings you choose. Giving this place 4.5 stars. Saw this on Instagram and a bestie and mine were looking for a new place to dine at. So many people judging the location. Look, don't judge a book by its cover, not everyone can have a restaurant in a brand new building and ideal location. Some of the best places I have eaten, are hole in the walls dives. The decor inside was beautifully done, it's very sexy. The place was packed on a Thursday night. Started off with the French Lavender 75 cocktail, it's to die for, loved the edible glitter addition. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. We shared a bread plate, it comes along with oil & vinegar, pesto butter, but the lemon butter was bright and delish! We then shared the short ribs and carbonara both were nice. But the short ribs were deep with flavor, tender and the sauce was on point. The wine list is good, we paired the cab from Slovenia with our dinner. We tried the budino for dessert and it was lovely, but I was stuffed that I only had 2 bites. Don't pay attention to any bad reviews. This place just opened this month. Give a little grace and have some patience, they are ironing out any issues I am sure and finding their mojo. Our waiter (Zenur) was really the best part about this place. Don't get me wrong, the food was pretty good, but he really went above and beyond to make sure we were cared for. He explained any questions we had about the menu and even gave us recommendations based on our preferences. We tried nearly half the pasta dishes between the four of us, and they were all pretty good. They slightly overcooked the pasta, and missed the mark on some of the flavor combinations, but the idea is there. I can imagine them getting even better with time. They had quite an interesting cocktail menu and a nice selection of small plates. Their focaccia bread plate with butter stole the show- for those carry lovers. Pesto was well done as well with excellent balance of basil, garlic and Parmesan. Pappardelle was bland and noodles lumped together in one pile. Buratta and pears were too cold impacting flavor. Service is stuck between wanting to be appropriate for a $40+ per person per plate and striving to check boxes to get you on your way. Entrees coming when dirty plates from apps still remain, Dessert menu dropped two minutes after entrees served, busser coming by with dirty dish cart asking to clear your water glasses. Please don't cart the dirty dishes through the dining room, please don't put fingers inside glasses when you clear them.
