The Jupiter location has deteriorated in its customer care & organization tremendously since it first opened. I started using Scenthound Jupiter since its first year operating and it's sad to see how its current employees have lost sight of maintaining the "friendly & helpful" attitude that was the reason many of us chose Scenthound Jupiter. There was a time the employees seemed eager to offer suggestions as to new products or discussed when asked about them, it's no longer true. They always seem to be in a hurry now. The groomer often would come out to tell us "how it sent" or if they noticed an "issue", it's no longer thus. Now it's about paying ($) and out one goes. No in-person feedback on how our pets did. When I asked about it the response is "look on app". The personal touch they was the Scenthound difference is gone. As said I've been a VIP member since they first opened (at times 2 dogs), I continue to pay during Covid (even when not going in), and I often carry an "extra" package credit that accumulates due to vacation absences, but today when there was an accounting error which I was not told about, ANOTHER new employee spoke to me as if I was the one in the wrong. In spite of having 2 months credit (unused monthly bc being out of town) she charged me the non-member eyebrow trim cost of $20, instead of member cost of $15.00, which I paid immediately to avoid further embarrassment. Mind you this new (unknown) employee discussed this while another customer was waiting. That would never have happened if some of Scenthound Jupiter's previous staff (Kevin, Jenna, Ashley to name a few outstanding former staff) had been there. To say I was truly embarrassed does not capture how it felt. read more

They ruined my dog. When I spoke to the manager Samantha her response is I'm not a groomer, none of the techs are groomers no one has a license. I brought in a champion rough collie and they used a tool to strip his tail. I showed picture to breeder who said that never should have been done , Samantha's excuse was he had dry skin which is common for collies. He as NOT matted when he came in as she claimed, he needed a good brushing. I asked if she had ever groomed a rough collie before her answer was she's not a groomer nobody is a groomer. Worst excuse for grooming ever. The cut looks like a kindergartener did it - all choppy and uneven. They left his head extremely dirty and greasy. What groomer doesn't have proper shampoo to clean a dog?! To top it off, they threatened to hold the dog hostage. Instead of asking for rabies certificate up front, they demanded it when he was done. Of course, we do not walk around with the dog's medical records. This disaster cost us $110 with all the add-on charges. I would avoid Scenthounds like the plague! read more

Extremely annoyed with this location at the moment. It was going to be my dogs second time going there, it's been a while but they had his records there. I called this morning to make an appointment, I mentioned how he had been there before. We got an opening at 3:15pm, great ! I was very grateful. When my husband went to drop my dog off, they asked for his new rabies vaccination documents, I totally understand the need for it and that's not what I'm mad at, I'm mad because they could have asked me for it this MORNING ! I would have had plenty of time to get the new one from his vet 10 minutes away !!! Like why wait until we get there for the appointment??? Brought my dog here for a basic grooming, first time using scenthound. My dog returned home with conjunctivitis in his eyes and had irritated paws/nails. After reaching out to scenthound the following day to discuss my concerns, I was told I would hear from a manager and never received any follow up. A basic grooming turned into a vet visit and medication cost. This should not be the case considering the "precautions" they take with each dog. Ive had better experiences at petsmart. read more

I walked in for a meet and greet with my 7 month old English Mastiff who is shy/ fearful of people. I was immediately relaxed at the kindness and patience they showed my puppy and when he came out he was no worse for wear smelling good and will definitely be going back weekly to visit those ladies. Brought my dog here today for a BENT. Her nails needed extra attention and I let the girl know while checking her in. I also let her know she's horrible at letting me cut her nails. She recommended trying the nail file but if they couldn't do it, I wouldn't be charged. Upon returning about 25 minutes later. I returned to a happy, short(er) nail, GREAT smelling dog!! I'm most likely to become a member so my dog can return monthly and get those nails where they need to be!! And keep her happy and clean! Highly recommend this place and the staff was great. Zero stars should be an option. To start off-these are NOT PROFESSIONALS. They are paid on the job as an entry level provider and then go through 90 days of training, practicing and learning on your pets FACE. That's exactly what happened to my pet, a new inexperienced hire was being trained, the head groomer was supposedly holding my pets face, but this happened. My 10 month old puppy who has been groomed before with no complications. I received a call informing me there was an "accident" and that Leo was on the way to an animal hospital. That Leo moved his head at the right time-I don't know how that would happen if the head groomer was holding him? I rushed to the location and never was I called to ask if we had a local vet or if Leo has any conditions or allergies...I arrived to the vet to see my puppy sedated with a glued nose. This happened on a Saturday-the animal hospital was closed the rest of the weekend. Leo's incision opened up and this was the result of what I believe was negligence. I would not recommend taking your animal here. I didn't even get the truth, I had to solve with the bits and pieces of information..but the story was fishy from the start. The response was too storybook. This is not the only incident. They have also brought me out the wrong pet in past when picking up. My neighbors dogs paws were burnt there. When I went to pick him up, OMG!! He looked so ugly! He looks like a totally different dog, it almost looks like a five year old cut he's hair. I've been coming to scenthound in WPB for a few years now. They've changed a little bit as far as staff and operations go, but I like the way they do things now rather than when they first opened. They are more thorough and consistent. We're always satisfied with the grooming and care for our dog.
