I can't recommend this place and if I could give it less than one star, I would. Their customer service is terrible and their prices are way too much.They never answer the phone or return voicemails. I never received any updates on my vehicle, even though they promised to do so, and had to go in person to get any answers on estimates and when it would be ready. I went in on the day I was told it would be ready and was told that it wasn't ready and it would possibly be next week, but they weren't able to give me an exact day because my vehicle wasn't a priority and had been pushed to the back of the line. Again, they never called to tell me. I had to go in person to find this out. I found out they have huge contracts with insurance companies and rental car agencies, so those orders are their priority jobs and get better prices on repairs. read more

DO NOT USE SCHAEFER AUTOBODY IN SOUTH COUNTY. Took my vehicle in with a 3-4 week estimate for hail damage, drivable repair. They torn down the vehicle and let it sit for 4 weeks. I was lied to 3 weeks in a row about the status of my repair when in fact the repairs hadn't been started. I had to get my insurance company involved before they started working on it. A 3 week repair took 7 weeks. Unacceptable customer service. When did lying to customer and holding a vehicle hostage become ok? read more

They do not answer their phones and don't return phone calls. My car was supposed to be ready over a week ago. After leaving messages, because no one answers the phone, I stopped by to see what was going on with my car. They said they were sent defective parts and it would be ready today or tomorrow. Again no answer on the phone, no call from them. I had a small repair and it has taken 2 plus weeks and no idea when it will be ready. If they had someone that would answer the phone and stay in touch I could understand if there were delays, but no communication is unacceptable!!! read more

Great service! My finder looks perfect, like nothing ever happened to it! it a softball size dent in it. Service 10 My car was done ahead of schedule. 10. Great communication with the shop. Dawn Wansley, was great with getting all the paperwork going. Plus, with giving me updates. 10! My adjuster John A155, was absolutely great, lots of info. And, actually listed to me. Both 10's. I gave a one star review originally, but it was due to the terrible customer service of one person at this location. After speaking with the general manager, Karl, I got regular updates, received a quote for the extra repair I wanted done, and had a positive experience. Best of all, the last part arrived and I got my vehicle back and the repairs all look great. The day I picked it up I noticed an issue with the drivers side window having a terrible wind noise when on the freeway and Karl got us back in as soon as we contacted him and the issue was fixed in 15 minutes. If I'd had the same experience with the person originally handling my claim, this would be a 5 star review. I appreciate all Karl did to change my experience and perception of Schaefer. read more

I've read many reviews that say"If could, I'd give this place a negative star review!" Not in this case. These guys would get a 10 star review. They went above and beyond to fix my car and Brent made sure that everything was right and that I was comfortable with the procedure from drop off to pick up. I know that I'll recommend Brent to anybody who would need auto body repair. read more

I've had two negative body shop experiences in the past that give me anxiety about having to use one, but I can't think of a negative thing to say. I found them on the VW site and they have a setup with my carrier, GEICO. They made it very easy for me and the quality is great. read more

Horrible experience.! I was questioned 3 separate times about how some of the damage was caused on my hail claim. (Have you ever experienced a hailstorm in Oklahoma? Yes, tennis-ball sized hail mixed in with walnut-sized hail will cause a variety of damage, including chips in the paint and large dents.) They kept telling me my insurance company was denying it, but my insurance company assured me they would pay for it if their estimator would remove the "prior damage" part on his estimate. My insurer finally advised me to pick it up when the hail dings were gone and take it elsewhere for the paint repair. I thought my experience couldn't get worse until upon pickup, the hood of my car had swirls of scratches and buffing compound residue all over it. The manager came out and I might as well have been talking to a wall. They offered to keep the car and have it rebuffed, but I couldn't get out of there fast enough. If you want to be made to feel like a liar and have your car look like your five year old rubbed sand on it, please go to Schaefer. read more

I am very satisfied with the work and the service done by Schaefer's. The customer service rep, Brent, was fantastic. The work was completed early and I was out of town, not returning until Friday evening. Brent met me at the shop on Saturday (the business was closed) to give me the keys and go over the work completed. read more

My truck was hit and my insurance company recommended Schaefer auto body located in South Count. I dropped off my truck to be repaired, I had to wait a month because the parts would take a month or so to arrive to the body shop. I can say it was worth the wait and the turn around to get my truck back took a week to get back I can't even tell my truck was hit at all. so I want to give a big thanks to Schaefer Autobody and if staff for doing such an excellent job on my truck. read more

My car window was smashed, and I needed a repair. Called around for quotes and this place was (1) the most friendly (2) the cheapest and (3) they drove to me for the repair (so convenient!). Everything went smoothly -- they even vacuumed up the broken glass! -- and new window seems to work fine. Highly recommend! read more

Such a bad experience... Get EVERYTHING IN WRITING.  Service writer told us on Wednesday that the insurance company approved the fix.  On Friday, the same Service Writer called and told me that the insurance company denied the fix.  It turned out, the insurance company said "tell us why and how" and we will fix it.  Schaefers did not know how to fix the issue, so it was denied.  The service writer did not document any correspondence with claims adjuster, so I had no proof, it was once approved. If it is not simple body repair, beware.  They do not know how to fix liftgate issues. Quoted one price for a separate fix, at pick up the balance due was $350 higher.  Again get EVERYTHING IN WRITING. Make sure everything is working order at pickup.  I had to take my car back as the taillights and liftgate did not work the next day.  Apparently they do no QA checks before handing the car back.  Schaefer's has had my car for 3 day and no new when to pick up for the 2nd time.  Just called, no new status as they DO NOT KNOW how to fix the liftgate issue. Just awful service.  If you want to fight the insurance company and the service writer, this is the place for you. read more

This is one of the worst run businesses I've ever encountered.Do yourself a favor and use somebody else.

I was quoted 8 days to get my car back and it actually took 4. Great service that I highly recommend. Ask for John Kreitler.
