I had a club fitting with Hunter, in the golf department today. Hunter was amazing!! He explained the process of how I was hitting the club without a proper fitting and showed me how a custom fit would better my game. I saw instant improvement with custom fit irons. As long as Hunter works at Scheels, I will go there for club fittings. Looking at upgrading my woods and driver soon and will trust Hunter's expertise in my upgrade. read more

Website showed they had 6 items in stock of a Rawlings glove RE-lacing kit, went up there and they couldn't find them. Literally 7 employees combined their efforts to locate them inside that enormous store, and even stayed after closing hours looking for them. They took my name & number for when they did find them and send me out with some lacing they had on hand in their service area. I have never experienced such amazing service from a retailer. Everyone there smiled & greeted me when I walked in 10 min before closing time and I was blown away at their efforts to help me! I will forever be a loyal Scheels customer now, it must be their Mid-Western America roots because I wouldn't ever expect this from any other retailer! I was very excited to check this places out. They do have literally everything. They will price match, if you find it some where cheaper. I even got socks that are guaranteed for life. The gentlemen at the sock department was super informative and even gave me tokens for the Ferris wheel for my grandbabies. I learned from my cashier who got me 50.00 off my purchase that the store is completely employee owned. Every person I came in contact with was friendly, helpful and ready to help me find anything. They do have some entertainment throughout the store, which really does keep you entertained and on the store for longer than I expected. They have talking presidents, photo opportunities and hundreds of animals throughout the store. Even a mini bowliing alley and shooting range. read more

Let me start off by saying I love Scheels and what they stand for. I have spent $1,000's of dollars at their store over the last couple of years since they have been open in Johnstown. This is a specific review of the Golf Manager at the Johnstown location. In May I purchased a set of golf clubs for my son at the CO Springs location for $1,200. When purchasing the clubs the CO Springs manager said they have a playability guarantee ( Scheels touts a customer satisfaction guarantee) and if my Son doesn't like the clubs after playing them for a few months then bring them back for a full refund. We specifically asked as we were on the fence about the clubs and worldwide golf shops offers a 90 day guarantee no questions asked. Well, after two months my Son figured out they were too much club for him so we brought to the Johnstown location for the refund. Long story short Johnstown golf manager said no way he would do that for us. He said he would be happy to give us an offer for the clubs and said it would probably be around $600. If I didn't like the offer I should drive the 2 hours and take back to Colorado Springs as he said he would never back a golf product like that or make any guarantee. Of course I was very frustrated and called the CO Springs location and golf manager at the CO Springs location said we are happy to take care of our customer and bring them back for your full refund. Bottom line is the Golf manager at Scheels in Johnstown is a snake and an arrogant snake as well. If you need to buy golf clubs in the NOCO area, go to Dicks a local club or spend the time to drive to another location that takes care of its customers. I will continue to shop at Scheels in Johnstown just will never spend another penny at this location's Golf Department. Sucks to have such a bad taste in my mouth for such a great company. read more

Scheels is such a grand store ; they've got a real beautiful fish tank in the entrance and then that big Ferris wheel . It's a super place to visit . Quite frankly the most well stocked outdoorsman and sports gear store I' have ever seen . we hada good walk around and enjoyed the fine array of clothes and equipment . We recently purchased a recumbent exercise bike from Sheels after making the decision to buy local. We felt the price was competitive given that it included free delivery and a one year parts and labor. Good decision. I had just had back surgery and was using the bike without tension. It wasn't until two months later that I realized the tension didn't even work! Nick from Sheels came to our house to look at it, then returned a few days later to complete the repair at zero cost to us, the bike works great. From beginning to end we received great customer service. Their people are wonderful. Nick was spectacular! My only regret is for not paying the $75 to also have Sheels assemble the bike when they delivered it. read more

I love love love Scheels!! I swear every time I go here I find exactly what I need! The people who work here are some of the most friendly and knowledgeable. I bought a Red/Black workout bench right before Christmas and I think I was taken care of, paid, and loaded up within 20 mins. Pretty cool experiences every time I go. My kids love Scheels and ask to go on weekends just to play, look at the fish, and eat Fudge!! I love Gianna's cafe. I'm happy you choose that direction with the coffee and starbucks is gone. We love our mom and pop shops in Loveland. Everything is pretty expensive but it's all high quaint products and brands so I'd expect that. I love that you don't hassle me to open a credit card every visit. I will say you have a ton of employees and security staffer which is a lot when you aren't used to all the bodies but they really are friendly! Thank you Scheels for just being amazing!!!! read more

Well the variety of things here are amazing but I've noticed that the staff usually helps the white people first. I had to hunt someone down. They helped people that got their after I did. My wife was shopping when she was approached by three store associates. Basically, they thought she was shoplifting. They came right up to see what she was looking at. The last time I was there was two years ago and I felt the same way. About every five minutes someone was making rounds to check on me while I was shopping. I've never been treated this way at any store. The sales tax and public improvement fee come out to around 10 percent for the items that I bought which I feel is extremely high. read more

Can you even believe how much shit they have in this amazing store? You could spend 49 fuckin hours in here & still see all the amazing shit. They've even got a fucking ferris wheel for cryin out loud & a god damn big ass aquarium with real live fish inside as you walk in. Its kinda like walmart cause you can just wander around in here forever & totally lose track if time. They have badass guns & other weapons & end of the world type supplies & shit. The only problem with the place is they have some kind of super secret fucking annoying bullshit ass cell service jammer i stalled. Inside the store & I would guess at least a mile radius of every store in that area, it is literally impossible to get online like on ebay or amazon or google or any shit like that cause you just know god damn well they have that so you cant find the same shit online for way cheaper so you then have to buy it in the store. It also makes it extremely difficult ti send & receive texts in there so its a real pain in the ass, so i just take pictures of the items with the price tags & go home & find the exact same items on ebay or amazon for half the price. I was amazed when I was in the store today when a manager - I imagined- came up to one of the employees - right in front of customers and other workers and told her her hours had been cut. She was embarrassed and flustered. After several comments, he insinuated that she will do what she needs to do. He said it was because of "cuts". I looked on the hiring website for this store and it didn't look like there were cuts because there were even openings for "seasonal" workers. If that is the way employees are treated, I do not need to frequent your store, and I will tell others. read more

This place is fantastic. I've been in a few times but was really blown away by Ryan in the gun department. He spent a great deal of time answering questions about the Christiansen Arms rifles and optics and eventually landed my friend on the perfect vortex scope and helped me with a new gun case. Been here many times before and have always had a good experience. Today was by far the best and was a perfect example of great customer service. Sophia who works in the bike shop went above and beyond. We were in yesterday to buy a roof tray for our bikes for a cross country move. We ended up having to exchange the one we bought and installed yesterday due to a mistake on our part. We were supposed to begin our drive cross country a couple days ago but due to weather we were delayed. The mix up with the bike rack delayed us further. Needless to say, we arrived to Scheels stressed and frustrated. We spoke to Sophia yesterday so when she saw us back today she came to check on how things were. We explained our situation anf she helped us to find a bike tray for our roof that would work. After we paid we went to grab a coffee in the cafe and left the new carrier in the box behind the register. While we were in line we were told that Sophia wanted to buy our coffees for us. We appreciated the gesture so much. Additionally, Sophia took the time to take our new carrier out of the box and assemble it for us so we wouldnt have to waste anymore time and could get on the road. Thank you, Sophia for being so great. You truly made our morning so much better and we left with smiles on our faces and way less stressed! read more
