The salon is now kept very warm in temperature, the owner rushes through taking off nails (she hops between clients instead of removing one person's nails and then going on to the next), and service now takes much longer. A simple change of builder gel and polish change took nearly 2 hours today despite the salon not being busy. All the of remaining nail techs from the original ownership complete excellent work but I've noticed the new hires rush and produce sloppy work. Another frustrating aspect is they started a new booking/reward system but did not transfer over any points. I have been a client for nearly 3 years but have zero points. The only redeeming factor from today is another nail tech noticed the owner's sloppy work and remedied it without me even having to ask.

Janai did a wonderful job with my dip manicure and fabulous sparkle nails. I have an event in Vegas next week and this gives it just the sparkle I needed. She was attentive to detail and ever so precise. Next step, it was time for my pedicure. They had a wonderful Valentine's Day special. It included lots of foot scrub, massage and even a warm mister. Turning a child away at the door due to being ill-equipped and ill-prepared is something no parent should have to navigate. Our stylist Dani K. canceled on us twice in a row then called us with an attitude and she's a manager. Our next stylist, Sarah M. honestly expressed that she didn't even know how to do our daughter's hair after Audrey at the front desk assured us that we would not be canceled or rescheduled on again. Well guess what? We were rescheduled on again, for a third time. If I were to cancel my appointment without a 24-hour notice, this salon would eagerly enforce their strict cancellation policy and charge me without a second thought. Yet, they apparently feel completely justified in waiting until the exact moment my daughter and I walk through their doors to cancel on us. Their excuse for the third reschedule? They suddenly realized they were ill-prepared to do my daughter's hair. A professional establishment knows the capabilities of its stylists and communicates appropriately during the booking process. Waiting until we arrive to turn a child away is not only cowardly and blatantly unprofessional, but it also feels incredibly targeted. I'm really disappointed with my recent experience. I paid $84 for this nail set, and the quality does not match the price at all. There are clear inconsistencies in where the acrylic starts at the base of each nail, and some of them already look grown out--even though this photo was taken the same day. That comes down to poor application and lack of attention to detail. On top of that, a few nails are already lifting, which should never happen immediately after a fresh set. The overall finish just looks uneven and like I did it myself. What's even more frustrating is that cuticle care isn't included and costs an extra $10. Without it, the nails look incomplete and messy around the edges. I've honestly never been to a salon that charges separately for something that should be part of the service, especially at this price point.
