This place used to be my go to when I lived in this area years ago. I don't know what's happened since then but the quality of work is no longer worth the cost. I'm really disappointed with my recent experience. I paid $84 for this nail set, and the quality does not match the price at all. There are clear inconsistencies in where the acrylic starts at the base of each nail, and some of them already look grown out--even though this photo was taken the same day. That comes down to poor application and lack of attention to detail. On top of that, a few nails are already lifting, which should never happen immediately after a fresh set. The overall finish just looks uneven and like I did it myself. What's even more frustrating is that cuticle care isn't included and costs an extra $10. Without it, the nails look incomplete and messy around the edges. I've honestly never been to a salon that charges separately for something that should be part of the service, especially at this price point. I went in today for a fill and decided to save $5 and not do a French tip. I just needed a fill and a small file down. Still got charged $5 extra for shape...it was already the shape! To make it worse the fill color didn't match. Now I will say that once I saw and complained they offered to paint it but I didn't want paint. I came for an acrylic soak off. Drilled EVERY single nail too far and im now have rings of fire on EVERY NAIL. I flinched and he just said "Oh, is it hot?" My nails have NO apex anymore and are almost completely flat from the side profile. From a guys perspective, I think they do a pretty good job on my manicure and pedicure. I've never had an issue with any of the technicians I've been assigned. Tina has been my favorite so far, she really took her time with her work. The atmosphere is chill, they play good music and offer you one free drink per visit. My wife has never had a complaint here, in fact, as we were walking out, her fake flip flop touched her nail and messed up the paint. Please read this. I want to share because I know reviews are important to me when spending on myself. I don't have much to splurge, so it's a big deal for me when I do. I am guessing for most others it is too. I want to start off by saying it's been 8 months since I had my nails done. That's how big a deal it is for me. I am a disabled veteran with PTSD, and I rarely treat myself. I needed a self-care evening badly, due to high anxiety and stress/chronic pain. I went here with my nails bitten and depressed, and hoping to feel better about myself. I did not get that. In fact I left feeling worse about myself. I showed the nail tech a photo of jelly nails and after scolding me a few times for biting my nails (after telling her I am highly stressed and not normally a nail biter), she continued to scold me. She was rough and rude. And she argued with me, so I simply stopped talking seeing she was making my evening worse. To her credit, the owner offered to fix my nails and got another tech to fix them, but they still aren't what I wanted. They're pretty, but not what I showed them. And I paid $70, and spent double the time there as they fixed them. My nails HURT today, badly. Improper application and redoing them. I won't ever go here again and I recommend you go elsewhere. read more

My daughter & I just wanted a basic manicure french tip, but ended up leaving after 40 minutes of no service. After seeing numerous people come in after us get service and drinks. Updated review: After being a loyal customer from opening (and of Jenny's since her days at Lux) I will no longer be returning. Venetian now feels like a money grab where all they care about is seeing as many people as they can. Today we went in to get our nails done for my wedding. We made an appointment months ago as we were coming in with 5 people. This was confirmed. We were not seen until over an hour after scheduled time (which was also at opening hour). From there my grandmother was given the wrong color, my mother had her design butchered (just tell her you can't do it), and my finger nails are all different widths with crooked and slanted toenails. My nails are also covered in bubbles and texture. I requested a manicure for our wedding pictures and my cuticles were never cut. We were seen SO very late and then rushed along. We mentioned this appointment was for a wedding multiple times. The last time we went in my nail tech could not make alternations because the manager stood a little girl behind me and told her to take my seat once we were done, making me feel like I needed to leave immediately. The time before that we had done a walk in and they told us it would be a two hour wait. Which is apparently the same if you actually make an appointment. This place is just now too hit or miss. Update: I called and they offered to redo my manicure. I went to get them fixed 3 days after I originally got them done and by then polish had peeled off of 5 nails. When I arrived they made me feel like I was lying about my gel polish peeling off. I showed them all my nails and they agreed to redo. On the phone I originally requested a new manicurist to do my nails to which I was told okay but when I arrived they had the original manicurist do it. The redo wasn't good (missed spots that I had to point out, polish on my cuticle) but at least they didn't peel completely off after 2 days. Opinion doesn't change. I would NOT recommend this place. The receptionist was cold and annoyed that you were there. No "welcome in", "how can I help you", just "fill in the paper". They do have lots of different colors in gel, dip, and polish options. Plus you can get a drink while you get your services done. I got a spa pedicure and gel manicure. Pedicure was okay. I wish the technician would have spent the allotted time as indicated on the menu with the scrub and massage and the heel scrubbing could have been more thorough. My friends pedicure chair was broken and the massage options didn't work. Now the manicure. She nicked me on one of my fingers. The polish was very uneven around the cuticle and several nails had gel that was very thick. To top it off the polish started peeling 2 days later! When I told the front I was not happy with my manicure they grabbed my paper went to go talk to someone else and came back and said ok we'll give you a discount. So I've been going to this nail salon since they opened. I have been serviced by a total of 6 different nail technicians. For the most part I have gotten what I want and more when it comes to my nails, toes, and eyebrows. I usually get a full set and go with the recommendations of the technician. They can be creative and it makes the experience more care free for me when they put their own spin on my idea. Today I went in to give my nails a break. I've had fake nails for almost two years straight and wanted to just be natural for a few months. I called and made an appointment but was told when I called back that my appointment hadn't been made and to just take my nails off I wouldn't need one and to just come in. I came in and told ( I don't know if she if the manager but she is usually with the owner and seems to be in a management position) the lady up front I wanted to take off my my current nails and get my eye brows done. They were busy which is usual so I waited. She came and soaked my nails for 15 minutes and then cut my nails super super short and crooked. I told her the lengths was fine on the first nail then she cut all of them all different lengths and I had a mini panic attack when it came to my thumb which was down to the skin. She was talking to all the other employees while buffing my nails and then told me to go into the wax room. I just sat there about to cry at my butchered nails. She asked if something was wrong and I said yes my nails were uneven and I was upset about how they looked and she said oh you wanted a manicure and a guy came. He said he could fix my nails after asking exactly what had been done and said he couldn't fix my thumb nail. The guy was perfect and was very apologetic and did the best he could. I checked out after being told I can't get my eye brows plucked even though they have done it multiple times before. No discount, no apologies, even though the lady who did my nails bad was right next to the girl who checked me out. I gave 6$ on a 19$ service because of the guy who helped me at the end. The lady getting her nails done beside me noticed and said something. The lady beside her came up to me and showed me her nails trying to give me advice how I could make my nails look less messed up. That was embarrassing. I asked for a simple soft white acrylic set. Easy peasy. The gentleman who started my nails glued the tips to very edge of my nails, and some of them were crooked. I did tell him and he fixed one. which didn't seem right but I was going to give it a chance. Once he started putting the acrylic on began to notice uneven and inconsistent thickness/thinness of the acrylic. I told him and kind of tried to fix it. When he was finished the nails were so wide and all the nails were crooked and unevenly filed. I requested someone else come fix it and she tried, but still had excuses as to why the nails I requested isn't what I got.. this was the easiest set to do. And they still didn't execute it and gave poor quality nails! This is my second time trying this place out and the second time I've been dissatisfied. I've been to many nail salons in town looking for the right one. This place does fairly well as long as you get a good tech. I've had six different technicians and have a couple favorites. I'd put their names in the post, but I need to make sure they're available when I go lol. I go for pedicures but my daughter gets her acrylic nails done and she's never left disappointed. I like the setup with plenty of chairs and lots of options to choose from. My go to is the honey pedicure. If you're not happy with something the technician is doing, tell them. I don't like rough massages so I just make sure they go easy. Enjoy your pampering time. read more
