Friendly little place, homestyle cooking. I had the seafood platter and my girlfriend had the chicken parmigiana. The fish was from a local fish market and was very good. The chicken parmigiana was a generous portion and had a real chicken breast, not some pre-packaged one. Nothing fancy, just good eats. read more

A local family restaurant right off an exit. A very rare find. How about they have home-made bread for the sandwiches. And real beef hamburgers made to order. There is a popular national chain across the street where you can a burger for about the same price but I have no earthly idea why someone would pick that option. This place was a small family owned place. We had the two littles with us and it was accommodating. The food was fantastic and the pie was home made. They also had home made bread!!!! It was reasonably priced, and comfortable. We will be stopping here again! read more

We travel from Wisconsin to the east coast several times each year and have made this a breakfast stop on our way home. The service is friendly and the pancakes and egg sandwiches are more than enough for the rest of our trip home. It is certainly the favorite stop for the locals. read more

Went in here not expecting much but hoping for a semi- decent hamburger. Was I surprised! It was not a gourmet over done to many topping burger it was a hamburger deluxe of my childhood. Fresh vegetables and a thick burger patty that was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend!!! read more

They used to have the best food around and recently they have let the food quality get worse why would you want to pay expensive prices for not so great food. Local diner that appears to have been here forever. Seems all the locals eat here and they all know each other; they are happy to get to know you, too. The burgers are made fresh, not frozen, and the fries are hand cut. I'd stop here rather than that "chain" place across the street! read more

Well this is my hometown diner so of course I'm going to give it five stars. It's a good little place to eat. The service is efficient and there are mostly regulars here who know the deal so you're not going to get super bubbly, in-your-face waitresses, but they're nice and do a good job. How I wish this place was a little closer to home! (not that it stops us from making the half an hour drive for our breakfast fix every so often). Friendly, down-home diner food at great prices, done very well. If you go for breakfast, do NOT miss the homemade bread. It adds a small up-charge, but is excellent topped with apple butter. Eggs are always perfectly cooked to order, and bacon is super thick-cut. Omelets are enormous. Servers always make us feel like family, even though we are in no way regulars. read more

On a 6 hour trip from VA to OH. Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was and service was great. Turkey club & tuna sandwich on their homemade bread was excellent. We will be back on our next trip to OH. Def beats McD or other non healthy fast food! read more

While the building is showing its age and the restrooms are a remnant of the 60's, the food and service were good. I had the special, bean soup and cornbread. Tasty, satisfying soup as good as any we've made at home. Cornbread perhaps a bit older than an hour or two, but not bad. Husband's meatloaf sandwich on homemade bread was appealing visually with lettuce and tomato and good. Clientele local and pleased to be there. Nice hum. read more

I work in the oilfield and always like to eat at the local places. I just had a basic egg, bacon, home made toast and bacon breakfast. The home made toast was very good, but the hash browns/home style fries were okay. I would give this place 3 stars but my friend got an omelet that was stuffed full of toppings and he enjoyed it. Don't judge a book by its cover. I live in the area and just starting going here. It's been about 6 times and I can't complain about the food. The homemade bread sandwiches are good. We have had the hot roast beef which is excellent. The breakfast is good with the homemade toast and the homemade pies are very good. A few on the wait staff are ehhhhh... and haven't been in a hurry to serve us but all in all we now eat there regularly. They offer Prime rib and ribs which we are going to try. We have traveled from Washington State to Florida and if I was passing thru... I would stop. read more

My family of 4 stopped in on our way home from Virginia. Our bill for 4 was 35.00 before tip which included 1.hamburger fries, 2.open faced Turkey man. 3. A side salad and a fruit cup, and a 4. side of home fries and 4 drinks...while the food was fine, the decor was old, and the sodas were flat. Stopped in this little restaurant as we were going through the area. Read all the reviews, and decided this was where we wanted to eat. So glad we did! Very relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I prefer to eat breakfast here. It is my go-to breakfast place. Love the home fries with onions. My go to order is an egg sandwich on a grilled croissant with home fries (remember the onions). Yum! Dinner can be bland, not much in the way of options in regards to green vegetables and eating healthy. I did have a pretty good chef salad one time. Good thing is... they serve breakfast all day! This place is okay, nothing really special. Their food is okay some of it homemade most of it is frozen and reheated. The booths are very small so if you're a bigger guy it's kind of tough to fit in, not very many tables to choose from. However I drive past this place regularly and there are usually very full. So if you're looking for somewhere that's not a chain restaurant but still has many of the same items that those restaurants usually do this is a good place to stop. But if you're looking for an outstanding dining experience with homemade food this is not probably the best option. read more

We got off highway intending to go to McDonald's. Parking lot was crazy so I checked Yelp and saw the stars and we went across street and it was GREAT! My husband had the double cheeseburger and had to take it apart to be able to eat! Nice soft hamburgers! Ice tea flowed well. Outside reminded me of my youth but that's okay!
