Marigold is a hidden gem in my opinion, we've ordered Togo and you just can't beat the price and quality of the food. We love their strawberry chicken salad and crispy beef tacos. This time I opted to try the chicken& cheese flautas which we would get again. It's packed with shredded chicken and comes with mild salsas. If getting to go, opt to add the sauces on the side to keep it crispy. Another first try is the Al pastor trio with added side of rice and beans which we might skip next time. The rice and beans are really simple with minimal seasoning. The pro is that the tacos are packed with lots al pastor and some pieces of pineapple. I really like this little one-stop shop! Great breakfast tacos, and looking forward to trying some for lunch as well. I've had the flautas a few times-- they are crispy and just the right amount of heat. Marigold Cafe is such a cute restaurant with a delightful ambiance. I showed up as soon as they opened to peruse some of their breakfast options. Wanting something light, I opted for their Flyn' Avocado taco. The wait was about 10ish minutes and once it arrived my taco was freshly made and perfectly warm. I wish the batter around the avocado was a bit more crispy since it would have added more texture contrasting the beans. For 4.50 I wish the taco was a bit bigger but all in all it definitely satisfied a light meal. One big pro of the meal is that I loved their sauces! read more

Fabulous upscale convenience store with a great little taco shop. The tacos are excellent and they really care about my gluten allergy. The store has so many things you might need at the grocery store to get those few missing items for dinner, without the long drive. They are always happy to check for me on the phone to see if they have an item. The selection of snack foods and treats are primarily healthy, which is rare for a small convenience store, and the guys who work the checkout always greet you with a smile and ask how you're doing. Whoa. So- hours listed state they open at 6am (Wednesday).. I read the reviews and I drove over at 6am. There was some kind of tall, dark looking figure in the doorway, lights were off. 6:00AM two men walked in and turned on the lights, I gave them a minute and another man walked in with me. I said "good morning" while we entered and asked how the tacos are :).. silence.. so do ya work here? He said no. Then gave me a horrible death stare.. I apologized. Stood there, no one spoke so I went to just grab a banana, pay and leave. The third guy goes behind the counter- (who "DOESNT work there")- where the first one was standing and I literally thought it was about to be a robbery!! NOPE, just more death stares from them both towards me and complete silence. Quickly walked out with nothing and felt the WORST energy to start my day! The location was not clear on Waze. It's clean although the restroom could use some attention. It's a small food market with a taco place in back. Tacos were good. Husband had potato, egg & steak and a bean & cheese. I had potato, egg & cheese and a bean & cheese. The beans are black beans vs refried beans. All of the tacos and the mild sauce were tasty. The coffee is horrible. We got an iced coffee and a hot coffee. Threw them away they were so bad. That's an $8 loss. The guy at the taco counter also works the market counter. On glowing reviews here, we dined at this place yesterday in the early afternoon. We asked the guy at the counter what they were famous for, and he basically pointed at everything on the menu. My wife ordered the plain cheeseburger, and I ordered a Caesar salad. After a rather long wait, our food was brought out to us. No complaints about the salad. The burger and fries were cool to the touch, and the slice of cheddar(?) was barely melted. I took it back to the counter for reheating. Very shortly thereafter, the microwaved food was delivered. After 3-4 bites, my wife couldn't eat anymore, complaining of the taste. At this point, we were pressed for time, or we might have waited for a remake. Love the market part (good selection for such a small store) but I also enjoy the cafe. The street tacos are way better than they have any right to be! The only reason I deduct one star is because occasionally items on the shelf are past their expiration date. Today, for example, I went to grab a big bottle of Brisk Iced Tea from a cooler and the expiration date on it was November 2022. Popped in for lunch to grab food to go today. Got street tacos, tortilla soup and a Cesar salad for $36. Cashier was nice and service was quick but I would not recommend these items. The street taco meat was so hard and chewy my jaw hurts after finishing. The tortillas seemed stale, soaked in oil, and heated to cover it up. Had to drown in salsa for flavor. The Cesar salad was pretty fresh but very small for the price. Adding corn and black beans to a salad is just a cheap filler. They either drizzled the tiniest amount of dressing that was not noticeable, or did not give me any dressing in my to go order. I took two bites and was over it. The tortilla soup was just chicken broth with some shredded chicken in a 12oz container. Once I added my own seasoning it wasn't bad. Fountain black tea tasted old or just off. I understand convenience inflation and having a lot of options in a market, but I'll gladly drive the extra 10-15 mins for something else. read more

I'll often stop here on my lunch break if I'm in a rush. The staff are always super friendly, and willing to customize orders. The inside is always well maintained, and clean. What a little gem! I'll admit, I'm a total sucker for market/grocery store cafe's because more times than not they have incredible food. If I hadn't pre-searched in my phone I probably wouldn't have found this place, but the locals seem to know all about it. I got what seems to be a new special: the Boars Head chipotle chicken sandwich. Oh my goodness it was GOOD. You can't really steer wrong with Boars Head, but they amplified the sandwich by toasting the sourdough bread, allowing the cheese to get nice and gooey. It tasted almost like an in-house chipotle sauce that wasn't too hot and added a nice dimension to the flavors. With chips included it was an extremely affordable meal for lunch. I left feeling extremely happy and FULL! Overpriced and poor quality tacos. Crispy taco is an expensive glorified Taco Bell taco. Meat was cold, dry and flavorless. The shell was nothing to write home about and the toppings terrible. The avocado taco barely had any avocado in it! It was almost comical. Instead there was an insane ratio of mashed black bean within. The chicken fajita was also mid. Ah, I love this cute place. We recently moved nearby and it's a great neighborhood market to have. The cafe serves up delicious bites and is very accommodating--I get the veggie sandwich gluten free, but add grilled chicken and minus the tomato. It is so freakin good, I always wolf it down. Ok, so just had to jot down the real story here. Marigold is a real grocery and cafe with a cute sitting area very cozy. It located in the same strip mall by the Movie Eatery coolest. A quick pop up as I drove by at a brand new strip center a 2020 look. Great types of wines are sold here and just to let you know its indeed very comfy and people loving place. Friendly fun and food served here a real treat on Southwest Parkway. I truly enjoyed the ambiance and many items of quality especially the baked fresh cookies breads ect. Too much to list take a look and see what you can find yes, rated this a five star because it is truly the best place to shop prices, reasonable not expensive the wines are also up in up on rates that are consistant with the fair prices around town. Looks more a wine bar and cafe than a grocery but it is a sweet place. Try it if you in this area. read more

I've been in here a couple of times. Food is mediocre not of quality, takes 30 minutes just for a avocado toast or tacos plate.. any dish.. bad service, rude hispanic lady with glasses. It's an open kitchen and you can see them just talking away. I had to go up to them twice to see the status of a 30 minute avocado toast. Lol. When you look at the prices.. the markup is pretty insane. The most I'll get here is a $2 coffee but I wouldnt ever be inclined to return to even purchase that.
