Sandwich bread is always good. Never enough olive spread which the point of an original. Way too expensive for what it is. I could go to a really nice restaurant for the same price. Wow! Schlotzsky's had a makeover! It's not what it used to be for sure! We had a chicken chipotle flatbread, a beef and angus on rye, and two sliders - delicious! Barbara assisted us and she made the experience for us. She was kind, attentive, and thorough. While waiting for our food - which came very fast - she kept busy cleaning up, greeting people, and making sure everyone had what they needed. She greeted employees as they came in to start their shift with genuine care asking how they were. Service was great, food was delicious, and experience pleasant. Well by the reviews you either love or hate this place. I've been going to this restaurant as long as they have been open in Waxahachie and I've never had a bad sandwich or soup or cinnamon roll. While the help is usually a bunch of young kids and they don't stick around for a long time they have their moments of good and bad days. But I've had much worse service in other restaurants in our town. So I'm still giving them a Five Star. read more

Even an employee I work with came in griping the other day bc of their experience here. The goal is to give the customer their order how they ordered it right?. I came for the fair. I made an order and when I got to the hotel my Cinnabon's were missing. I called and spoke to the manager, Salvador. He was excellent. Not only was I able to come up the next day to get the rest of my order, but he also gave me more than I ordered to make up for the inconvenience. Anyone can make a mistake but not every establishment handles it well and they did. Big recommend. Good food and great management. read more

If 0 stars was an option it would be 0 stars. Reason: they just completed construction on their store and when I drove through the drive thru after I placed my order my car started making a loud metal on metal sound. After checking out while in line I was unable to sniff out the problem. After getting my food I pulled to the side and began a more in depth inspection. Ended up having to get my car towed. I have a brand new car so I was really concerned. Once the car was delivered to my house I noticed the sound stopped as it was rolled off the tow truck. When I inspected the ground I found a copper pressure coupling that had been compressed in between the rotor and the Brake assembly. Turns out my car picked it up at schlotzsky's. I went back to let the general manger know and asked for a free sandwich in return. They argued and did not want to provide a sandwich. Afterwards I did some recon work and took pics of the drive thru. I found over 10 screws and to many nails to count. I also found the copper coupling that caused the issue on my car installed in the store. I told the GM about the nails and he did not go clean it up. Also I was not rude or mean I just asked for a sandwich because by the time I was able to eat it was soggy and cold. I did not think it would be a big deal. read more

The New GM Of This Location Really Knows What He Is Doing. Courtesy Abounds...And Customer Service is Great!

This was a terrible experience. It was before the lunch crowd so I really see no excuse. We ordered for five people and not one of the sandwiches came out as ordered. I had the receipt to prove that we had done "mods" to the sandwiches and none of the sandwiches were done as ordered. These were not complicated mods (e.g. No Cheese and on Regular Sourdough, but when we got the sandwiches it had cheese and was on jalapeno cheese bread and another example was add mayo but the sandwiches came out dry.). It was as if the kitchen staff didn't even read the ticket. I could tell they were starting to get frustrated with every sandwich coming back into the kitchen but if they had made it as ordered this wouldn't have happened. Other Schlotzkys never have an issue. When they finally did it right, the sandwiches were sloppily thrown together and a mess. On the way out, all but one of us, had already left and they were cleaning the table. The one member of our party who was inside walked back to the table and heard the lady cleaning it talking bad about our table to another party sitting down across from us. When she turned around she looked surprised and then scurried off. We are not ones to complain and try to be very easy going... but this was just unacceptable behavior. read more
