Service was outstanding! I have never had so many people come around and check on tables while people were dining. I had the Italian 6 inch sub. The sandwich was LOADED with meat and toppings. Savory goodness with a hint of spice from the peppers, which by the way were perfectly marinated. For my side I got the bbq kettle chips which are always great, super crunchy and flavorful. Of course I got the ice tea, well because it's Mc Alister's ice tea. It's the BEST! My friend had the club, which was so big, she couldn't finish it all. Her sandwich was also loaded with meat and toppings. They seriously don't skimp on the food. Her side was potato salad. I was surprised what a generous portion they gave. It had quite a bit of paprika on top but it complimented the creamy potato salad perfectly. Yes, she also got the iced tea but hers was sweetened. In the age where everyone seems to be complaining about portion sizes, McAlisters did not let us down. Today I got the half salad and half BLTA . It was alright. Big portions, the sandwich had a ton of bacon probably 10 pieces! Which is crazy... but most of it was burnt. Some of the strawberries on my salad were frozen, and the avocado on my sandwich was just a huge chunk. They are worried about speed over just taking a little more time to do things right. Traveling through Texas and stopped at McAlister's Deli on HWY 77 in Waxahachie Texas. What a great first time experience, never been to this place before. The service was amazing, the cashier had a wonderful personality, explained the menue and what to expect. The process is easy, order what you want, they give you a number and they deliver to your table and they clean up after. The food is excellent, we ordered the Italian style sandwich with potato salad and a drink, under $20. The food was delicious, the combination of the meat, cheese, sautéed peppers and onions, balsamic vinaigrette and spicy mustard made the sandwich so delicious and filling. We will definitely visit this place again, enjoy, your taste buds will thank you. read more

I always like to be fair, so I'll start with the positives. The inside of the restaurant was very clean, organized, and welcoming. The employee taking my order was very professional, and she was very courteous. What I really wanted was an egg salad sandwich and my wife wanted a tuna salad sandwich. I didn't see it on the online menu so I asked when we got there and there's no egg salad or tuna salad, which is kind of a bummer for a deli to not have but OK whatever. However, the website did list a Cuban sandwich, and I really wanted one when I saw it. I get to the deli. I order a Cuban and they tell me they don't have it. It's just a trial run. So now I'm at a deli that has no tuna salad no egg salad and no Cuban sandwich. So I order my old favorite the Ruben. I ordered my wife the the southwest chicken and avocado salad with ranch substituted instead of the vinaigrette. my son orders the chicken Caesar wrap with barbecue chips. While we're waiting, we're sitting down at a table near the front of the store and at the table next to us is the child of I'm assuming the manager but definitely some employee. The kid is playing YouTube videos on his iPhone extremely loud and also playing his Nintendo switch , he's throwing a fit and disappointment, etc. now, I understand sometimes folks need to bring their kids to work. I get that, but put them in a far corner somewhere where they won't disturb the customers and take away from their dining experience. Don't put them right up front in the middle to be obnoxious and disturbed all the customers. Finally, they call my order they get my name wrong. Not a huge deal just slightly annoying. I'm getting ready to walk out the door with my order and I think you know what I better check to make sure everything's in here. I untie the bag and immediately noticed that my son is missing his bag of barbecue chips , so I go back to the counter and I get those. I get back in the car and I realize you know what I better check to make sure the right salad dressing has been substituted for my wife salad. Guess what? Of course it wasn't. So I had to go back inside and ask for the ranch and I looked down on the box of the salad, and it specifically says on the box "ranch." so the gal taking my order did a good job and took everything appropriately. But, there is a serious issue with attention to detail. We are not holding our employees accountable and teaching these young kids attention to detail. When I order something a specific way and I pay for it and then I missing items, I consider that tantamount to theft. Now everyone might not agree with that, but at the very least it's an inconvenience that I had to go back up to the counter twice. And it was a great disappointment on their online menu, which listed the Cuban they didn't have anymore. This was my first experience ever at McAllister's deli. It will also be my last. My recommendation is that you find a deli elsewhere and don't waste your time or money at this establishment. McAllister's, do better! read more

In Texas we love our sweet Tea and you gotta love a place that provides unlimited large cups. I give them 5 stars not because everything is perfect. But because for me I know what's great about this place. You can order anything on the menu and customize anything you want and it's no problem for them. They have pretty darn good sandwiches and salads, great service and even though it's a order at the counter service they come around check on you see if you need refills/etc. there's a whole bunch of salad for $8 of the grilled chicken salad. I mean way better than a fast food restaurant and there you'll pay close to the same price. I give it 5 stars for those reasons not that this place is one that you'll leave here thinking it was the best meal I've ever had but just the fact that great food, great service and reasonable prices and unlimited sweet tea read more

We always have great food here and great service. Lunch hour gets busy, especially on the weekends. Anything on Hwy 77 in Hachie gets busy on the weekends! Clean dining area and plenty of tables. Bathrooms clean. Staff is always moving and tending to things that need attention. There is a separate to-go counter and you can order online and pick up in store. Twice now I have ordered a southwest chicken & avocado salad and both times they have served it with NO CHICKEN! How to do you serve a Chicken Salad without any chicken? The first time we ate at the restaurant so we told them and they gave us the chicken. The second time, I ordered ToGo. I open the lid and again, no chicken. I'll also add that I added jalapeños to the salad and the salad also didn't have jalapeños. I always tip at least 15% even when placing ToGo orders thinking that they'll pay extra attention in making sure everything will be expoed correctly. Spent $50 on this order so you bet I drove back to the restaurant. Did they remedy the situation? Yes they did. Both times but if it's done correctly, no extra work from both parties has to be done. The whole point of ToGo is to make it a convenience for customers to pick up their orders. Making them drive back to the restaurant after they've made it all the way home is an inconvenience. In short, have the employees double check the entrees for accuracy and customers, if ordering to go, double check your orders before leaving the restaurant. read more

Upon walking up to the ordering line, you'll be greeted with welcoming smiles and a friendly hello. Afterwards I accepted advice on the brownie that are placed on the counter for order. The brownie was eaten while waiting on the food to arrive and it was as good as described by the cashier. Our food arrived soon after and it was made as I asked and it was delicious. I order a Reuben with a side of Steamed Broccoli. As delicious as it was I noticed the broccoli was a touch cold towards the bottom. The raw untouched broccoli was no issue for me, but with it not being steamed completely, I had to give this experience 4 stars. Above all else the cleanliness and the service were expertly achieved. Every Friday, a group of us Seniors get together for dinner out (generally it's our only meal out). We were immediately welcomed at the door and the young lady helped us pick out a nice table for the 8 of us. We were given menus so we could peruse them from our seats. We ordered at the register and took our seats. Another helpful server brought us our drinks and extra lemons for our waters. The wait for food was not very long even though it was clearly "dinner hour" and the server brought us our meals at the table. Numerous visits from the server to see if we had any other needs. Butter, Sour Creams, more lemons and drink refills! Deserts and Doggie Boxes were brought in a timely manner. Empty plates and utensils were swiftly removed.. We had a good variety of foods and everyone voted McAlister's Deli of Waxahachie, to be at the top of our list! All the meals were delicious and served hot! The restaurant was clean, the floor, tables and chairs were clean - so many places just wipe food off the tables onto the floor - not McAlisters! The food is always good and the employees are courteous and helpful for the most part. The problem I have had the last two times I have gone to McAlister's is ordering online and not getting what I ordered and paid for. Today (9/15/24) I ordered choose two (half a sandwich and half a salad), a plain baked potato and a turkey club. My order was ready and on the shelf when I got there. My prior online ordering experience should have made me remember to check the order before leaving, but I did not. When I got home I discovered that my salad was not there leaving me only half a sandwich for my lunch. I called the restaurant and was told if I come back in they will give me the salad. It is a 30 minute round trip for me so I declined to do that even though I paid for the salad. I was put on hold and asked to wait for a manager who came on the line and told me that he was just asking why there was a salad sitting in the box for an order, but the rest of the order was not with it. Like I'm supposed to be impressed that he found my salad just before I called. No offer to refund the amount, no I'm so sorry, no nothing. At least the employee I spoke with first apologized more than once. I will not be ordering online from McAlister's for a long time if ever. We have eaten at many McAlister's in the past, so we decided to eat here yesterday for lunch. I got the chipotle chicken sandwich and my husband got a ham and cheese melt. About 6 hours later we both had horrible stomach issues and projectile vomiting that lasted through the night. Sad that this happened but will definitely think twice about visiting again. read more

No problem with my food or anything, and I know fast food workers have it rough right now buuuuut...... I ordered curbside (not pick up) and selected that I was here, and waited 15ish minutes. Nothing. So I walked in (looking a mess, which is why I ordered curbside) to check. I told the lady I ordered curbside and she looked at me like I was an idiot and asked if I checked the pick up area. Which I hadn't cause that's not what I ordered lol. It was there, with my ice melted, watery coke. More than anything I'm just confused? Why offer curbside if you're gonna make me go get it? Horrible management at this location. Tables are always filthy, staff is untrained and unprofessional (they're young and could be trained the right way which makes it another management issue). It's a shame, I like their food and would like to eat there, but every time I go back to give them another chance, I get the same old experience. I've spoken to managers numerous times. They couldn't be friendlier, but ultimately it never changes. Obviously, by the looks of the reviews I'm not the only one feeling this way. I could possibly understand the state of the restaurant had we walked in just after the lunch rush, but we arrived at 3:30 and there were only a few occupied tables and booths. Someone finally came out and swept the floor, but I think it was because they saw us taking pictures of all the trash and food everywhere. After all the hoopla about the opening and what a new and different experience they would be providing, it was a huge let down to find it's just another overpriced sandwich shop. I've given this place multiple chance before I wrote the review. The food is okay. Nothing bad about the food. BUT THE SAFF. RIDICULOUS. ABSOLUTELY BAFFLING. you could stand there for 20 mins with 5 employees in front of before they ask you if you need anything. I started timing it. Longest time 22 mins. Shortest time 12 mins. My god. They're just standing there fixing straws or talking to the person next to them. The manager with the red hair is so unhappy all the time. Enjoyable experience with clean facilities. The lines are pretty crazy during lunch hours so I highly recommend delaying or making your lunch early if you are coming here. Parking is fairly plentiful because the businesses next door haven't moved in yet but I imagine when they do it's going to be harder to find. Service is pleasant and they are very prompt with delivering your order to the table so no lag time there. The food is typical deli cuisine so don't have crazy expectations. I ordered the Spicy Southwest Chicken Griller which comes with chips. I can't say it was a great sandwich so I knocked off a star for that. This restaurant hasn't done anything to impress me or make it stand out so I would rank this as a fairly average McAllisters Deli. Highly recommend ordering a cookie and getting some of their tea. read more
