When you walk in the cashier counter is to the left, set at a right angle to that is the deli counter where sandwiches are assembled. The menu is mounted on the wall towards the back. To the right is a seating area. Across from the cashier is a fridge with various pasta dishes ready to heat up and eat along with some baked goods and lots of different kinds of chips to go with your sammich. I wound up ordering the Red & White Russian which includes Roast Beef, Turkey, Swiss, Horseradish, Deli Mustard, Lettuce, Tomato & Onion. You can have it pressed by request but I did not do so. I also ordered a side order of macaroni salad. The Red & White Russian was really good! The size was perfect and the bread was soft and chewy. What I don't understand about Meat City is the way they service the customers. Instead of using a…read morenumber system, they have you line up and the queue can go outside the door. Today, Thursday, 8/6/2026 was a horrible experience at Meat City, and I let them know to look for this Yelp, because I was going to let them have it! I walk in the parking lot has a couple of cars, walk in not crowded. I walk over to order a pork loin, no one is behind the counter, I stand there for approximately 5 minutes, then I walk over to the cashier and asked is someone working behind the counter, she answered like I asked a trick question, stumbling for an answer. Then the woman who was stocking the shelf said someone will be with you in a minute, a worker who has waited on me in the past walk behind the counter looked at something and went right back where he came from in the back, didn't acknowledge me or nothing. So, I gave up that area and moved over to the area where chicken is at, since there weren't a lot of people in the store, I figured I'd get specific and asked for 24 pieces of the party wings. Well, the cat just started putting wings (3.99lb) in a bag, no counting and gives me nearly 5 pounds of wings at 18.90. I said take half of that off. Do you know this clown had the nerve to suck his teeth at me, you talk about seeing black, before I could catch myself, I told him, I don't care nothing about you sucking your teeth take half out! I went off from that point forward, I let them know what name to look for, because I was going to light them up on Yelp. Then I took the wings I got and when I went to the register, I told the girl never mind, I don't want them anymore. You don't come here for that, you come here for the products. I see other reviews regarding prices not being marked, the owners definitely saw that because most items had prices per lb. All the prepared food was clearly marked. A lot of the reviews here are outdated. Shop small and local, give them a shot. They need your business more than Whole Foods, or the major chain grocery stores.

All the meats we tried were really tasty, especially the bacon. The potato salad was extra tangy. We bought a lot, so I ended up freezing some of the items, so I still have to try a few of them. The employees were super nice and friendly. One asked if any of us were Polish to make conversation, while the other was gathering our meat. We have also tried some other sausages in the past, including lobster sausage.

Mom's are $12.49 while the other type is about half that price. The stuffed cabbage is usually good but this time it was so salty it wasn't enjoyable. My parents were not too happy that they've now started charging 3% for using a credit card considering how much they spend. This kept them from buying as much as they usually do.
