I was in serious need of a new car. I reached out Schoepp's on Stoughton Road out of desperation. A few of my friends have had good luck there so I figured I'd give it a try. I contacted Amy Hargraves, to help me with the financing. My credit isn't spectacular but I told her what I could spend per month. She was able to get me the payment I could afford plus I'm paying a lower interest rate with my new car. Amy has a great relationship with local banks. She suggested that I test drive a Subaru Outback because Subaru's are attractive to lender. I never pictured myself in a Subaru, but I told her I would give it a test drive. As soon as I sat in the car, I knew I was taking it home. One of the things I hate most about buying a new car is going through all the paperwork. This process was a breeze at Schoepp's. I had a great experience at Schoepp Motors buying a car at a great price. Ryan Corcoran was there to help me every step of the way.

On November 17th, 2022 I experienced transmission failure on my 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport SL AWD. I dropped the vehicle off at Zimbrick Nissan East for an inspection and they determined the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle's transmission was covered under a 3rd party extended powertrain warranty purchased at the time of the vehicle's purchase at Schoepp Motors Middleton. After I received the inspection results I called Schoepp to report the issue. They stated it was covered under the warranty and that they would pick up and repair the vehicle. they said it was required to be fixed at Schoepp to be covered under the extended warranty. I did not want to have them do the repair based on previous questionable service and repairs but they said it was required. The vehicle was picked up by Schoepp on November 22nd, 2022. Vehicle was repaired and ready for pickup on December 14th, 2022. Upon pickup I learned that an alignment was not completed after the new transmission was installed which made me question the quality of work since it is recommended by Nissan to perform an alignment after transmission replacement. Schoepp stated that an alignment was not covered under the warranty. I immediately scheduled an appointment at Zimbrick on Jan. 2nd, 2023 to perform an alignment and inspection of the replaced transmission. Upon inspection it was found out that the new transmission was never programmed after installation which is required. Zimbrick stated that the new transmission could've already suffered damage but there is no way to tell for sure. Zimbrick then contacted Schoepp to get the codes to program the transmission. Schoepp paid for the programming and alignment to be completed at Zimbrick but this doesn't guarantee that the transmission isn't damaged. I asked Schoepp to have Zimbrick replace the transmission or warranty it for 2 years with no mileage restrictions. They offered a 2 year 24k mile warranty but I drive 1500 miles per week for work commuting. Schoepp doesn't want to own up to their incompetence and pay for what they screwed up. read more

HIDE YOUR WALLET On March 31st, 2018 my mother went to Schoepp Motors in search of a vehicle, as hers was no longer safe to transport her granddaughter. Having previously been in the automotive industry for years, I was hesitant to let her do business with Schoepp, but her sister knew the salesman. I live out of town so this made me feel slightly more comfortable. This was my first mistake. My mom was shown a car that fit within her budget and given her situation, she was in need of a reliable vehicle fast. Not being able to be there in person, I spoke with Russell, her salesman on the phone. He explained the financing terms, which were fair. I gave a credit card number over the phone for her $1000 down payment and explained to Russell EXACTLY what would make me comfortable with finalizing the purchase. I told Russell that they could include gap insurance into her financing, but UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WERE THEY TO ADD AN EXTENDED WARRANTY OR ANY OTHER MAINTENANCE PLANS, etc. Russell told me he understood, and that he would honor my request. I believed him, which was my second mistake. My third mistake was never looking at her paperwork after the purchase. Last month my mother learned that she had cancer. As she won't be able to work, I told her I would be taking over her car payments. Upon review of her documents, I found that the $9900 car she thought she had purchased was actually sold for around $13,500. THIS INCLUDED AN $1800 EXTENDED WARRANTY. To be clear, she should have paid more attention and been less trusting, and I certainly should have been more proactive. I just discovered all of this last night, so I'm in the process of finding out what else was rolled into the loan. I'm not certain that Russell was intentionally deceitful, but he was complicit nonetheless. Nathan A Delmore was the actual name on the contract. Either way, this experience confirmed all of my reservations about Schoepp Motors, and it makes me sick to my stomach that I did not do more to help my mother avoid being taken to the cleaners by these people. The Better Business Bureau and Wisconsin DATCP are next on my list, but I wanted to make sure this information was immediately available to anyone who may be considering this dealer group for a vehicle. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would! I purchased a 2015 or 2016 Nissan Sentra for a little over $7,000 during their Memorial Day sale in 2018. In under 5 months I had to replace the transmission which was over $4,000. The only thing they offered to do for me was give me $3,000 for the car and then charge me "cost" on a different car. Then three months after that the anti-lock break system went out and now less than 2 months after that, the heater tanked! I'm really going to enjoy my 1 hour and 15 minute commute to work every day without heat! With what I spent on the car and the new transmission alone I could have probably gone to a REAL dealership and got a brand new car with a warranty that backs up their products. Save your money and go to a respectable dealership! read more

I just bought my first used car from here and the process was amazing! I set up a meeting with Dan for 10:15, but slept through my alarm and couldn't make it onto the lot until 12:30. Dan was super nice about this and didn't give me any trouble for it. We took it for a test drive immediately and everything was great. We had good small talk, he held the conversation on his end and nothing seemed really awkward or pushy. We sat down, filled out some paperwork, had me get some car insurance through an agency that got me a low quote, and then we talked numbers. My credit isn't the best at the moment and since I had a pre-approved auto loan through my bank, the process went a lot more smoothly than I anticipated. The car was at a good price, in my budget, and Dan helped me out with everything in such a friendly manner. I didn't anticipate buying a car that day, but Dan did everything he could to make sure that I could afford a down payment that day, make sure my car payments weren't huge, and helped me out with my bank. He did this all without making me feel like I MUST leave with a car or that he wasn't trying to haggle as much money out of me as possible. Overall, it was an amazing experience for someone who was really nervous to buy his first car, especially on his own. In the future, if I ever decide that I need another used car, I will definitely be going back to Schoepp Motors East and asking for Dan again. read more

Sales guys were shifty. Had problems with the car less then a month after driving away. Brought it back and had to do intense negotiations just to get the problem take care of. People in the service department were great. They also did not seem to trust the sales people either. I will never buy a car from here again. read more

They peddle junk. I wouldn't trust this dealership at all. The salespeople are uninformed and rude. They use high pressure tactics to force you to make an immediate decision. That's old school....and has no place in today's world of car sales. read more

I came in to look at cars, was very very VERY upfront that I was not planning on purchasing a vehicle that day. I found a car I liked, and was pressured in to a credit check for that vehicle. After I signed the papers for a credit check I was left alone at a sales desk for an entire hour. During that hour I found the same car for a better deal elsewhere and told the salesman I was no longer interested. After that the salesman got extremely defensive and accusatory saying he did "all this work" because he "thought this car was my car". I felt pressured and unappreciated here. Do not buy a car from here! I am now currently on my 2nd car from them in less than one year! The 1st one had a major electrical problem and now the second one is doing the same thing! The people that work here are rude and inconsiderate. The WORST customer service ever. When I asked to talk to a manager or an owner of the business, the sales guy thought he could pull a fast one on me and just send me another sales guy. The mechanics at this business are even worst. My car wouldn't start on a Friday afternoon and I called to ask if they could help me (I even bought the extended warrenty) and was told he was about to go home and no one could help me cause it was FRIDAY. read more

Our daughter knew what she wanted and she happened to see a car from the road. We were greeted by Joey, who was amazing! He was funny, easy to talk to, and helped her through the process. No problems with the price or the vehicle. I was able to get a higher level of value for my trade-in and the final price on the Jeep I purchased was decent. I wouldn't call it a super deal, but within what I would expected to pay compared to other dealers. I think it help the deal when I told them I had several other cars to look at with other dealers. They are a bit pushy, but what car dealer isn't. I would recommend going over the vehicle with a fine-tooth comb. I did find little dings and a chip in the windshield that they didn't talk about. Also, I would recommend getting the CarFax report on the vehicle before purchase. They may not know much about the car's history because they by it at auction or just don't say. Come on, they are used car salesmen, what do you expect? Admittedly, I will agree with some reviews that they tend to leave you for too long a time waiting. They either need more staff or need to get the paperwork done a bit faster or something. If the Jeep develops any issues in the next year, I will update this to reflect that. read more

Save yourself! And your hard earned money! My uncle went there to get me a car. By the time he brought it to me (the next day) there was an error sign on the radio that said LOW COOLANT. We added coolant. 1/2 hr later, it came on AGAIN. Took the car to my garage man, they checked the oil, said there was coolant in the oil and it was a bad head gasket that needed replacing, for around $1700! We took the car back, told schoepp what was up and that we wanted them to make it right. They said to leave the car for a few hours and they'd have it figured out before the end of the day. We got there near the end of the day, they said, we had it running for about three hours, there is no leak, therefore there is no problem therefore there is nothing to fix so go home. Less than 2 miles away from there, the LOW COOLANT sign came on AGAIN. We pulled over to add coolant, only to find that the dealership had used every last bit of coolant that I had bought that was in the trunk to do this testing, where they told us that there was "no problem"... SURE... a new radiator (diagnosed and bought elsewhere) and the problem was repeated, got us nowhere but another 1K in the money pit on wheels. Eventually the car of course died on the side of the road, and my uncle actually took it to branded dealership and had a new engine put in for $1,500... Sure, "What a deal!" Yeah, right. read more

A blatant disregard for customer service: The day after a test drive I was actively negotiating on a price with a salesman. We seemed to have settled on a price, I submitted the paperwork to him, and already had financing set up through my bank the prior day. I arrived for a scheduled appointment to finalize the sale and was told that moments earlier they had just sold the truck to someone else. It seems to me that a courtesy hold was in order since I had an appointment to close the deal. I value my time and this was a blattent disregard for customer service. I'd rather pay more money somewhere else than be inconvenienced. read more
