Do NOT go here if you have an insurance claim because you will have to do most of the claim work for the Service Tech.This is regarding Service Tech, Rocky (Phoummarack), who is very condescending and argumentative. I had to ask questions over and over because he would not give a direct answer. I don't think he was even reading my text messages; he would just give a dismissive "smart aleck" answer. The insurance wanted documents and photos. Rocky emailed them 3 times and they said they did not get the photos. Rocky said his manager, John, told him to just wait a week. WHY?? Nothing was done for a week!. I finally called the Adjuster who called Rocky directly. After 19 days of NOTHING HAPPENING, I called the insurance AGAIN and they finally sent out their estimator. Then Rocky was having problems with the estimator and sending him emails to fix. My claim sat again!! Rocky then complained about all the emails he sent and said he did everything he could do and clearly was not going to do anything more!! I had to call my insurance AGAIN on day 39 to expedite unresolved issues with the estimator. Within an hour the insurance company negotiated a settlement in favor of Schomp Honda. They paid their asking quote which was 3.3 times higher than the insurance estimator (which shows Schomp's markup). I never got a thank you. I never in my life had to do all the expediting, advocating, and negotiating with insurance for a claim; that was the JOB of Schomp Honda and the Service Tech. Rocky just complained about all the emails he sent. From my experience with Rocky's communication style, he was probably not asking the correct questions or answering questions or providing information they needed. It is not the quantity of emails, it is the quality. He could have picked up the phone to get things expedited instead of just letting my car sit. Example: I emailed or texted 4 days in a row simply asking for a part number. He said I would get that when I picked up the car. I had a legal right to ask for documented proof of a part number before it was fixed. I wanted to be sure what they actually put in the car was the correct replacement part number that was negotiated and approved and not the cheap alternative repair part once discussed. Instead of taking 1 minute to give me the part number, he spent much more time arguing with me. He kept saying he gave it to me 10 times but all he gave me was part names(not numbers) on their quote. After his disrespectful exchange of 7 emails he finally gave me the part number which he should have given me at my first request. After the agreed settlement, Schomp took 8 days to get parts which they knew about for a long time and 8 days for repair. A TOTAL of 55 days!!! I spoke with Rocky's manager, John, once and John's response was defending Rocky; he clearly did not want to hear complaints. Dishonest and misleading. We are shopping for our 3rd Honda and have used multiple dealerships in several states over the last 20 years of Honda ownership. We know exactly the car we want and explained that we were happy to buy from the lot or order. I exchanged messages with Kate Vitanova, Client Advisor, who insisted that any car ordered is not priced until it is on the lot. This is not true: several other dealerships have offered the opposite. We will be using another dealership in our purchase. I needed to take my car in for scheduled maintenance. I had a morning appointment and was there waiting around 4 1/2 hours. The tech I worked with was Rocky and his attitude was aggressive from the beginning. There was no communication while I waited in the lounge. After three hours I went to ask the status of my car and was scolded for because he documented my phone number wrong. As I spent the next hour or so just trying to get my car so I could leave, I noticed the words on the wall that are supposed to be Schomp's values: Competitive, Consistent, Adaptable, Respectful, and Empathetic. So I purchased a new vehicle here a little over 3 months ago now (Apr 2025). I have to say, the purchase experience was pretty painless; certainly not the hour they claim. In any case, I had reached out to the sales person I worked with via email with some follow-up questions, twice, the first time 2 months ago - still no response. Very disappointing. Then I noticed a blemish in the paint that I wanted looked at to see if they could touch it up as I am concerned that bare metal may be showing and want to prevent any potential rust issues. I called and was told I need to make a service appointment to have it look at. I did that and set up the appointment. I took the vehicle over and was told that IF it was determined they needed to address the issue, I would need to leave my vehicle with them for a month. WHAT THE .... for a quarter sized blemish!!! Unbelievable. No offer of anything in regards to any other option. "Here, if you'd like to touch it up yourself, we'll GIVE you a bottle of touch-up paint." After spending over $50k on a vehicle you would think they'd be more helpful. RIDICULOUS and incredibly disappointing. Can't say that I'd recommend them after this experience. read more

It's unfortunate that I have to write this review. I had extremely high hopes for this company. They appear to have lost their communication skills somewhere along the way. I made an appointment for a Friday evening 48 hours in advance. Provided the sales person what I was looking for and what I wanted. This gave atleast 48 hours for him to do even a small bit of research to confirm things. What I wanted...a new vehicle of specific color. Yup, sure no problem. I arrived and was ready to put down a refundable deposit on that specific vehicle. I was advised ..yes...here is the production list. This one right here is what you want and it will be in mid April. Handed over my card for deposit. 15 hours later......I get a text...the vehicle you reserved. I'm sorry but the color code I thought was your color is not, it's Black. None of what you want is being produced in the near future. Seriously?!?!?!? You send this is a text???? In my opinion EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Doesn't make one feel like a valued customer in the least. You sell cars..and you don't know what it is you're selling? Plus you had 48 hours +to do the smidgen of research it would have taken. I have had nothing but good experiences at Honda dealerships until I got swindled and disrespected at Schomp Honda. I bought a Toyota Corolla there, I was in a pressing time and they took advantage. It took me nearly 7 hours to buy a car I needed that day and knew I wanted after an hour, they strung along certain processes to wear me down rather than make the experience as convenient as possible. I didn't check as much as I should have being so warn down. They lied about a faulty TPMS sensor, a cheap fix, saying the tires just had too much air. The report said the car was in good shape, nothing to be concerned about. Well I find out the battery is shot after four months and the alternator needs to be replaced as its voltage was 12.09. Drove the car maybe 1,500 miles. Do you really think the degradation rate was exponential during the last four months on a car with 138,000 miles or so. No, the battery was from 2017 and corroded an inch thick in places and alternators last 80,000-150,000 miles, you'll know that the parts are degraded. Yes, buyer beware, and you should be with Schomp Honda. But to purposely obscure and lie about things I directly ask about is too far. I am really only angry that when I confronted them over their illicit practices of lying to the consumer, that they refused to replace the tire pressure monitor that would have cost them in parts and labor about 20-30 dollars. As a sales man myself and one that tries my best to be fair with my clients. If a business is willing to put at risk thousands of dollars in sales at risk over 20 bucks. You must flee from them like the plague. Fast food places will give people free meals over a wrong topping or sauce. Reject dealerships and buy private when you can. read more

My 22 year old daughter purchased her first new car from Schomp Honda. We also purchased cross bars to install ourselves for her ski rack. Upon installation the defective plastic screws used in the rails broke off when trying to remove making it impossible to install the cross bars. Went to the service department and they told me the only solution was to replace the rails for $800-$1000 more. Car is 2. Weeks old with 375 miles. Theyrefused to stand behind their defective product and make a positive experience for a first time car buyer. Horrible customer service. They only care about their own bottom line. Schomp did not honor Truecar offer I recently sent out requests for offers to sell my vehicle. According to Truecar, the True Cash offer that they provide from a local dealer must be honored by that dealer, depending on verification of condition. Schomp decreased their offer by more than $2,000 before even inspecting the vehicle. I left messages for James Sandoval, Andy Bacon, and Matt Davis. My messages were not returned. I sent a note to Darrick Edwards and also did not hear back from him. I filed a complaint with Truecar, but they had no appetite to resolve this issue, and they decided to close my case. I am disappointed by the deceptive business practices that I have seen at Schomp. For anyone considering selling their vehicle in the Denver area, there are better, more ethical options elsewhere. read more

Let me say two things first - One: I know going to the dealership usually means you will spend more money. Two: My husband and I have never had a good experience at this Honda dealership. We decided in 2019 to drive further to buy our car because Schomp Honda was so hard to deal with. Schomp is the closest to our house so when our car was under warranty, we would take our car to get serviced here. Every experience has been bad. The staff has never been friendly and even routine maintenance takes forever. We know service our car elsewhere. Our car had a recall on it recently plus we need some service. I dreaded going to the dealership today but it needed to be done. I regret doing so. It cost way more than what we pay elsewhere plus I was honestly shocked at how rude the staff was to my husband and me. The staff member who assisted us acted like my husband and I never service our car which couldn't be farther from the truth and shamed us about needing new tires (our car is 5 years old and is serviced several times a year). It took all day (9a - 3:30p) to do the routine maintenance part. When they said we needed to replace one of the wheels, we asked if we could see the picture of where the damage was. They refused to do so which made us question if they were being honest. If you read other reviews, many people question if they are being truthful or not about needed work. We have now taken our car elsewhere for new tires and have saved a fair amount of money for better tires/wheel replacement. No where does it state the cars aren't on their lot or that they are just sold out period. STAY AWAY! I made an appointment at 10:40, thinking service would start around my appointment time, but NO, it was my appointment to meet with a service person. Secondly, I brought OEM splash guards and window visors for just INSTALLATION. They said it will cost me $430 before taxes, but I was quoted by SCHOMP for $340 and they relented. Then I come to find out they charged me a 12% shop charge fee. A shop charge fee is an optional cost that is supposed to cover rags, degreasers etc... none of which were required for this install. I read the fine print and saw shop fee, naively thinking I wouldn't be charged since I brought all the parts to them and it was labor I was paying for. THEY ARE CROOKS. I was never told they have a blanket 12% fee for all service. When I noticed the 12% additional charge, I called and spoke with the shop manager who was CONDESCENDING and RUDE. BEWARE Schomp Honda in Highlands Ranch will charge you a 12% fee for service, hiding the additional cost as a SHOP FEE. They said every Honda dealer does this which is not true. STAY AWAY! My mother was given a quote to buy her car both in a written appraisal voucher from a couple months ago and just this week she decided to come in and accept a quote but now lower than original as "approaching winter season and less demand for Honda FIT buyers", she was told. She has been working with Cara McNamara. After inspection today, Cara claims hail damage to roof. This car has been parked in my garage as we also were working on selling independently. It has not been exposed to hail and upon inspection when she left today back to my garage (we told her to walk away), we scoured for this "hail damage to roof" where they said she would need to file a claim with insurance and they would repair with their "discount" for $1500. This is just plain predatory treatment of an older adult female with bait and switch tactics and it's completely unethical. This is very stressful for a long time customer who did a previous trade-in/vehicle purchase, in addition to consistent maintenance and repairs here faithfully. This car is in extremely excellent condition with very low mileage. Very disappointing Schomp. read more

Do not waste your time or money here. I came in for a car detail and was fined $250 for damage to my rental for transporting my dog in the back. They kept me there for 20 mins saying the detail guy would assess the fee (detail is $180) then charged me a flat rate for damage. The car was not damaged in any way. I had already agreed to new tires, adding to my tab. They really went out of their way to squeeze as much money out of me as possible. There was no customer centric attitude at all. I bought my last two family vehicles here and it's a shame they are not concerned about keeping loyal customers. My advice: find a dealership that values return business. Supposedly you can buy a car with one person in one hour here. I've been trying to do just that since late March. I've talked with 3 sales people, done one test drive in a filthy car that I had an appointment for, been charged one deposit and no car almost a month later. They are friendly, have lots of excuses and never seem to have the vehicle that I literally saw on their website or on their lot available. Update on April 25, the car I put a deposit on miraculously showed up. I had mixed feelings about the many many excuses I got this last month when trying to purchase the car. I got to thinking about a couple features I really didn't care for on the test drive. I ultimately couldn't in good faith go thru with the purchase. I got a speakerphone call from the sales manager, Chris Hydry,and the sales lady I was working with at work the next afternoon. He says while he understood where I was coming from, that this was a "rare" vehicle and hard to find. He went in further to explain that all the excuses they had were uncommon for them. It took everything I had to not laugh and end the call. I couldn't believe that after everything this dealership put me thru that I was being high pressured to buy this car. I am beyond excited to say that my experience at Schomp Honda was exceptional. No joke, truly exceptional. I worked with Miranda Larson when looking for a new vehicle. From the jump, Miranda was open, welcoming, and kind to my whole family - even though we initially arrived only half an hour before closing (whoops.) She put absolutely zero pressure on us and played no games, giving us a chance to test drive a model we were interested in. Over the following days we cross-shopped different models and features at Schomp and elsewhere, and Miranda made herself available via text or phone for anything we needed. She was highly respectful of our time and allowed us to do a longer test drive to make sure the vehicle was right for us. For the actual purchase, again, Miranda was at the ready but did none of the dealership tricks - no "oh, the price went up", no "let me get my manager", no upselling into something we didn't want. At all. It was smooth and easy and simple. Which, honestly, was incredibly refreshing. In the end, we did go with a great new Honda from Schomp. I'm super happy with the purchase process. There is terrible internal communication. My car has been in service for 2 weeks because they "had the part" they were replacing (rear trim piece). When I got a text that I should bring my car in for repair. Um...my car has been there 2 weeks because you said you already had the part. Our taxes were charged wrong, we offered to mail a check (we live a far distance from the dealer) they assured me they'd call to get a credit card. We called several times and eventually ended up driving to the dealer to fix the issue because our 2nd temp tags had expired. Not impressed read more

Very unsatisfactory experience with Schomp Honda; Tim Hanley and the sales manager James Sandoval. Made appointment for 12/30 at 11am to see a 4Runner listed at $8900. Confirmed multiple text between Tim and myself. Arrived at 11:00, met by Kam - told Tim would be with me in about 10 minutes and to help myself to the coffee bar. Walked around the show room, walked around the outside, called my insurance agent - gave the VIN. Forty minutes later; still no Tim. Texted Tim at 11:42; and said; "Sorry this was a bad time to hook up. I am heading out with my cash. LOL". I was still in the parking lot. On Tuesday morning I received a text from Tim at 8:06am; "4Runner is still here Bob, are you still in market? We'll be here all day if we can help." I responded at 9:26am. "Thanks Tim. What would be a good time today?" I went to the website and the price was listed at $9900/$1,000 more than Monday. I texted Tim and he responded quickly the price had changed "because the availability of others in the market changed. Pretty scientific really." He went on to say, if I came in today; they would honor the $8900. I scheduled a time of 12:30. At 11:36 I got a text and a phone call from James Sandoval/sales manger confirming my appointment with Tim at 12:30. I called Jame back twice, rang/no voicemail. At 12:06pm, I texted Jim and Tim that I was on my way. Got there about 12:36 and Kam greeted me at the door, by name. He questioned me about why I left yesterday and I shared the 40 minute wait for them. He apologized. He began the check in process for the vehicle. During that process; he share the Schomp one price approach. I shared; I have bought 13 cars from Schomp over the years, my daughter and son in law both worked at Schomp BMW - know the pricing policy. Then the "straw that broke the camels back." Kam said; You know this car has a check engine light. First I had heard this in all the texting, calling and the ad. I shared with Kam, stop right there this isn't the vehicle for me. Thanks for listening to your customers Julien. He tells me prepare to have a high APR because of the "feds". Very insightful this one. He gives me this piece of advice "with Excellent credit" I could maybe get an 8% APR when other Qualified Honda Dealers offered me APR as low as 4.9% with my "good" credit. I am so glad I ended up purchasing from Schomp Honda. I visited many dealerships and only stress and omissions were lived. This dealership is neat, clean and organized. Christopher at this dealership was the best choice and result. He is nice, patient, transparent and follows up wonderfully.
