I used the typical online resources to get an offer for my 2016 Ford Fusion; Truecar, Carvana, Carmax, Carguru and all came back with similar valuations which were much lower than I had expected. Cara McNamara, inventory acquisition, Schomp Honda in Highlands Ranch was a shining star. She followed up on the Truecar inquiry and explained that she may be able to do better. She came back with an offer more in line with my expectation and it was several thousand $s higher than the other offers. Contacted Ricky in Sales on a Monday, when they were closed. Told him that we were very interested in a used car that was just listed, there was not even a picture available yet. Ricky said to come in Tuesday at 4:00 to look at the car. I texted him at 12:15 Tuesday, said we would be there at 4:00. Showed up at 4:00 and was told that Ricky already took a deposit on the car. Have to give a mixed star rating again. Had my new Pilot in for service this morning to have a clear bra put on. My service guy was awesome, the loaner was a breeze. But $10 a gallon if I don't fill it before I bring it back? The stations are not convenient to your location. But I certainly did appreciate the loaner since I work in Lakewood, and I did fill before returning. The clear bra looks great, and as expected the truck was washed. Did I mention in my first post that clean glass is one of my pet peeves? I know they only washed it but come on, wipe the windows. They look like crap from inside again. Will be cleaning them again after I post this. Got my documentation and second key as promised but did not get one thing, the plates from my trade-in. I didn't expect to buy a car from a dealership but I found the car I wanted online at Schomp. When I first arrived, I looked all over for my car to no avail. When I met Navin, he drove us around the car lot until we found her. I put a deposit on the car, and said I'd be back in a few days. Navin was very patient and attentive to my needs. He had the minor issues fixed on my new car before I drove her home, and wasn't pushy at all. This place isn't like other car dealerships. They value their customers. Just had a shockingly bad service experience at this express service facility. The sales rep tried to upsell me on everything from brake fluid flushes to asking me if I had Honda Care. This is before he even asked me what I needed done. He asked for addresses, e-mails, etc., and I have been coming to Schomp for years. He clearly was employing the sales techniques he learned in business school, but he certainly didn't ask me what I needed. This review is for the service center. My husband and I drove our relatively new Honda from California to Colorado to visit family. On the way, some lights started going off and seeing as the car is still under warranty, we made an appointment with Schomp ASAP. The car had been in an accident a little over a year ago and had been "repaired" by an auto body shop in California the insurance company sent us to. Schomp let us know that the issues were due to unapproved repairs, sent us a little video explaining everything, and even dealt with getting the insurance company to cover the cost of repairs. We worked with Richard Duvall, who kept us updated every step of the way and explained everything to us in a way that was easy to understand. They got the car up and running better than ever before and ensured our safety driving the vehicle. They knew what day we had to leave Colorado and had it all fixed up for us just in time. I am so supremely happy with the service center at this dealership, I wish we lived closer to them so we could have all future work done here. It's so hard to find an honest mechanic, especially at a dealership, but these guys are it. Do not hesitate to take your Honda here! read more

We were happy with the leasing process, overall. That went very smooth. However, I would think twice about trading in your car. Our transaction happened on July 18 2020. It took about 2 1/2 weeks for our trade in to be paid off and we've yet to receive a check for the equity for our trade in. When I spoke with accounting they said they are waiting for the title in order to send the check. Sounds fair enough, but we were told that we would have a check within 1-2 weeks at most. Many dealerships give you a check on the spot. I would go that route or confirm the actual timeline it would take to get a check read more

We enjoyed our Friday evening with Kelly and fell for a very gently used CRV. We told her we had an appointment we had to honor the next morning with a local Ford dealer, and she suggested we make a $500 deposit to hold our CRV while we thought about it. It would be quickly refunded, she said, if we let her know before Monday we didn't want the vehicle. We gave her a credit card to make the deposit, thinking we'd probably buy the CRV anyway. The next morning, we bought a new Escape and immediately called Kelly so that she could go ahead and sell the CRV (and we would not be charged $500). Here we are a month later, credit card bill arrives, $500 to Schomp Honda and no return of our phone call. Big fat F for customer service. UPDATE: An email to the sales manager (and, probably, this review) finally got results from customer service and our deposit has come back to us. Seems it should not have been so hard. read more

After multiple text messages and emailing our salesman convinced us that our trade in vehicle would be ok on a new car, despite mentioning to him multiple times that it was a fleet vehicle, we did not have the title to the car at the time but that it was being sent in the mail. We were perfectly fine waiting for the desired vehicle to arrive in March but being that it was the last 2 days of the year they wanted to get it off their lot. With an agreement in writing we made the trip to the showroom. After going back and forth and reiterating that we were willing to wait and that we didn't have the title on our trade in, their manager Derek, advised us that THEY were not given the "full disclosure" on the trade in. First let me say that the sales department here is great, and you will likely have a great experience buying a new car here. My salesman, Robert, was amazingly helpful but he can only do so much. I can not say how disappointed I am with the rest of the used car buying experience/service department at Schomp Honda. I bought a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan there on 07/14/2021. Prior to even test driving I asked for and received a copy of their inspection report. Everything looked good and "passed." I test drove the vehicle and it seemed ok and it also came with a 72 hour window to request repairs and a 30 day 1000 mile warranty on the powertrain so I bought it. It had a few chips in the windshield but they agreed to take care of that. Upon driving home the steering wheel shook on the highway from about 65-75 mph. When back in my city, it felt like something was in the rotor and something was loose underneath. It made a grinding noise when going in reverse. I reported this to the salesman and they agreed to tow the car back to inspect it because I did not feel safe driving it. I sent video of the noise from the rotor and the noise it made in reverse to the salesman to be forwarded to the service department. I was told there was a rock in the rotor and a bolt was loose and they fixed it. I asked about the other issues and Robert told me those would be taken care of as well. I asked if he could drive it on the highway to make sure the steering didn't shake anymore and he agreed to do this for me. Robert called me back and advised that he had taken the vehicle on the highway and everything felt great and everything I asked about had been repaired. He offered to hold it at the dealership until the windshield could be replaced on 07/30/2021 so I left it there, assuming everything was fixed. On 07/31/2021 I picked it up at Schomp Honda but upon driving it home I noticed the steering wheel still shook. I thought maybe just the wheel balance and decided it wasn't really worth driving back 45 min just to fix that. The vehicle was sold to me with an open recall so I did not drive it much the next couple of weeks. It had an appointment to get that taken care of at a Dodge Dealership on 08/17/21. However, we did plan to take it on a road trip of about 1000 miles from 08/12/2021-08/15/2021. ) On 08/12/2021 I put it in reverse for the first time since picking it up and it made that noise again. We drove the car to southwest Colorado but on the way there the steering wheel shook violently at 65-75 mph again and especially when braking on the highway. The transmission also shifted really rough, jolting when it switched into higher gears. I texted Robert again to advise him that the vehicle was not fixed and had the same issues it had brought it in for the day after I bought it. I also advised of the transmission issue and that I wasn't at 1000 miles yet, but because we were on a trip it would hit 1000 miles before I got back home. I texted him a picture of the odometer to show that I was reporting the issue before it hit 1000 miles. Robert stated that he and the master technician drove the car together and the steering wheel did not shake. He seemed like he did not believe me. He then texted back that the dealer would not fix the original issues because I did not purchase the extended warranty, even though they were the same issues they agreed to fix during the return period and failed to do so. He also said that powertrain warranty was expiring that day and I needed to bring it in that day but I was 400 miles away. Then the check engine light comes on on our way home. On 08/19/2021 the Dodge dealer found my issues quickly and reported it has filthy, dark and transmission fluid that was low, transmission line leaks, warped front rotors with hot spots, wheel balancers missing and wheels out of balance. Also the air filter was dirty and needed to be replaced and so did the windshield wiper. All of these components "passed" Schomp's initial inspection. Repairs will total about $1500 for me to make it safe to drive again. read more

Schomp Honda advertises a "1 Price, 1 Person, 1 Hour" slogan. The buying process took 2.5 hours, causing me to miss another appointment. Our buying experience was slow and inefficient. I regret giving Schomp Honda our business. We were upfront that we wanted to pay cash and our client advisor, Kieffer, wasted our time with finance options. While we were waiting for paperwork, we were approached by an in-house Allstate insurance agent who demanded our information to give us a quote, when we didn't ask for one. read more

We purchased a used car less than a month ago with cash from there. It took just as long to purchase with cash from there as it does to finance a car. Not to mention the saleswoman rarely updated us on what was going on. They sold it to us as-is no warranty. After supposedly doing a pre-delivery inspection and oil change. Less than a month later we took the car to get it checked out, as a check engine code came on, and get an oil change. There were metal shavings in the oil and after talking to two repair shops they both said given the shavings and engine code, the engine is about to go. We immediately went back to the dealership, even though we bought it as-is, hoping they would work with us to take it back and buy a different car. Especially since they supposedly did a pre-delivery inspection and oil change and should have noted the metal shavings. They refused to do anything and said the most they would give us was $1,700 for it (we paid $5,000) for it. They tried to claim that the shavings happened since we took the car (less than a month) and wouldn't do anything to work with us. Never buy from here! read more

The service & speed of the services I received were a 10/10. The reason for my low rating is due to my experience when it came time to pay. I had recently bought a new car at a Honda dealership in Colorado Springs & bought a maintenance package that covered your basics (oil change, tire rotation, etc). I made sure that this package could be used at ANY certified Honda dealership since I live in Castle Rock & didn't want to drive to the Springs for every oil change. I was told by the service employee that Schomp Honda no longer takes my service plan as they've had issues getting paid by them in the past, so I had to pay out of pocket since they had already started working on my car. Fine, they don't take my service plan anymore that's my bad for not double checking beforehand. So I called my maintenance provider & he told me that was a load of BS & they absolutely do take them every Honda does they simply read a credit card number over the phone & payment is instantly taken. So I put the service employee on the phone & they talked for a few minutes & they payment was taken care of & processed in less than 5 minutes. I got a refund & asked the employee why he lied to me & he didn't really have any answer for me. At the end of the day he completely took advantage of me & it felt like it was because I was a woman alone getting her car worked on. He even tried to sell me there Honda Care package stating that it was better than what I had. read more

I bought a honda to avoid service issues and have had 3 issues (all manufacturer warranty issues) in 18 months on a brand new car with far less than 1000 miles a month driven. I understand the issues aren't their fault but scheduling service is. There's no reason I should have to wait a week for a service appointment and not have a loaner available for over two weeks. I have bought two cars from this dealership, and neither time was a one hour process. Additionally, I had an accident with my purchased vehicle that required a claim to my GAP insurance in April 2019. As of July, the dealership has still not processed the refund for the extended warranty I purchased through them, which is delaying the finalization of my GAP claim while late charges and payments pile up. I would not recommend this dealership for a Honda purchase or any other vehicle. read more

I called in to schedule a time and took the car in for what was to be a 100 dollar service and ended up Paying 350. $ for some other service the writer felt my car needed . I then found a large mark in my drivers door and they denied doing it . On my way home after my 4.5 hour visit with it I now have a bad clunking noise coming from the drivers side front wheel. I purchased a NEW Honda CRV and the sale was a mess. (Inexperienced sales person problem). OK, after much time and hassle ...the sale was completed. Now, after 19,000 miles, the tires are shot. (Bridgestone 422 Ecopia ). It seems ridiculous to purchase a new automobile and have such poor quality tires. I have had many Honda's over the years and if this is now the norm regarding quality, I will not buy any more Honda's! This, according to Honda employees, is a common complaint. If so, the manufacturer should be responsible and change the type of tires they are using on brand new cars. Very disappointed! read more

This review is for the service center. Took my car in for a warranty update as well as some minor repairs (including brakes). I specially asked for them up fix a tail light since one of them was out. Two weeks later I was pulled over by a cop for having a break light out. I called Schomp to let them know and they did not offer to fix for free and were very rude. In dealing with a computer issue with our new 2019 Honda Pilot, our Service Advisor, Jack Aran, went above and beyond to resolve the issue, even though it took several weeks for the mechanics to isolate and repair the problem. Jack took extra steps to communicate with us and keep us in the loop throughout the process. He documented everything thoroughly which assisted in troubleshooting. Although having to deal with a malfunction in the computer system was annoying and frustrating, Jack did an excellent job of walking us through it and making sure it would be resolved completely and to our satisfaction. Jack did an incredible job and we truly appreciate his professionalism and care. read more

While the reviews for this Honda location seem to be very average, I was fairly happy with my service experience. The maintenance indicator on my Honda pinged up on my dashboard. So, I knew I had to go get an oil change. I went in at 11 am on a Monday without making an appointment. Everything went off without a hitch. I pulled up to the garage and drove my car in. Pretty promptly, someone asked what I needed. After the technicians took my keys, they told me that there was a customer waiting area inside and that's were I went. The waiting area was super spacious. The lighting was good and there were plenty of outlets to charge my phone. Logging on to the free WIFI was super hassle-free. The lounge also has free water and soda for those of you who are waiting. And there are little snacks like fruit snacks or pretzels. Waiting there wasn't too bad. Within around 30 minutes, I was out. I was actually out of the service area before their estimated time. So, I was pretty pleased. read more

Got a wonderful deal on my trade in and felt so taken care of in the process. Singh (Jesse's manager) literally rolled out the red carpet with taking care of some issues that needed repair on the Mini I was buying. He is of such honorable character. What he promised would be done....WAS! That means everything to me (to honor one's) word, especially in car sales. I have a stereo system that needs to be removed from my old car and put in my new. Singh is allowing the time needed to get that swap of the stereo system done. I have wheels from car (traded in) and they are going to let me keep them. This is EXCEPTIONAL service. My experiences have been mixed, but it seems things are better. The customer service has been great the last two times I got my car serviced, including a last-minute emergency repair. They got my car in asap and fixed it that day. The service reps are knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. My one bad experience was with one of the drivers. The day driver got me to work, but the late afternoon guy left me stranded for 90 minutes at work. I called numerous times and got "I'll be there soon," but soon never happened. I called the operator who connected me to other staff, but none answered their phones. I had to call a friend for a ride home. In fairness to the staff, I talked to a manager the next day, and he said he would take care of it. I haven't requested a ride since, but everything else about this business has been great. We drove from near the airport to them only to be told that someone else just took it for a test drive and she expected us to wait to see if they wanted to buy it or not. You don't let someone take it right at our appointment time and expect us to wait when we had an appointment. Then try to get us to look at other cars! Explained to the salesperson that buying timeline was 1 month away and this was a test drive visit. Confirmed if 2 PM was ok. 2:10 PM: Got in and then proceeded to wait for 15 minutes to see the first human (Not my salesperson) who told me that it will take him 15 min to get the car. Ok sure. Got a coffee for my troubles. 250 PM: The salesperson I spoke to finds me and tells me that they dont have a MT on the lot. It would take another 15 minutes just to know when it would be driven over from the neighboring planet!! But would I like to drive a V6 instead? Ummmmm, No? 3:20 PM - no car yet; no idea when it would get there and really not even a small effort to NOT waste a prospect's time! 7 months of declining car sales across the board but Schomp Honda would take a chance and waste time and lose business. I purchased a new 2021 Honda CRV in 2021 from Schomp Honda. I found out just this week that the interior of my car is not Honda. I found this out due to an accident where the interior door panel had to be replaced. The repair company ordered via the vin# and installed fabric. My interior is leather which is what I requested at the time of the sale. What I didn't know is that they take the car they are going to sell you and have the door panels redone at an upholstery shop. I had no idea this is what they were doing. The repair shop told me that there are 20 different interiors for the car I purchased and none of them matched my other doors. This created a huge problem as I was out of state at the time and continued to stay weeks longer than anticipated. I called Schomp yesterday 5/31/2023 and got the most arrogant manager Derek on the phone and he basically belitted me and was very non chalant about the issue and all of the problems it had caused stating "We (Schomp) do this ALL the time to sell cars. It sounds to me like slick sales with little forecasting of what the issues might be in the future. I basically ordered this car over the phone. I knew what car I wanted and went in to sign the papers. What I didn't know at the time is that they didn't have the car I wanted and modified one to make the sale. This is the second brand new car I have bought from Schomp and I will NEVER buy from them again. When they shrug you off and tell you that your insurance company will take care of it and accept ZERO responsibility that is a problem. So the 2021 Honda I bought brand new from them is not exactly all Honda. read more

Went there to buy a car for my son, we found one that would work, they were priced a couple thousand over book price so I asked for a thousand off, salesman's response "We don't negotiate price" I'm like what?! So he gave me this big song and dance on how their guy sets all prices and there not negotiable, so I'm like ok we'll let's see if I can get a good interest rate, takes my application and asks me if my current vehicle is paid off, I'm like I just bought it and besides this vehicle is for my kid! So long story short they would not approve me unless I traded in my vehicle! This guy was dumber than a box of rocks! I walked out and my son and I went to Dodge Jeep on Tufts in Littleton and within an hour got the vehicle he wanted without trading in my personal truck. I make over 90k a year so not sure what Schomps problem was but I wouldn't recommend that place to anyone!!! read more

When Sir Nicholas and I first moved to San Francisco we decided to sell our cars because driving there is horrendous and parking is crazy expensive. So, when I found out I would be returning to Denver one of the first orders of business was to buy myself a new car. Now, for years and years I have wanted a Mini and so immediately I began researching where I could buy one in Denver. Ralph Schomp is the only location that I found and so after going online and figuring out what my ideal car would be I gave them a call. And that call went something like this: Me: "Hi. I live in California right now, but I'm moving back to Denver in a couple of weeks and I'd really like a Mini. I know pretty much what I want, but I also don't have time to wait for a custom built car so I'm hoping that you have something similar to what I want. I definitely want a green one if you have that color, I'd like the S copper, and I really want a manual transmission." Sales guy: "Well we happen to have a Mini that meets all those requirements. However, it also has the cold weather package." Me: "Perfect! I wanted that." Sales guy: "And it has a white top instead of the same color" Me: "Perfect! I wanted that." Sales guy: "Well it also has a dual sunroof." Me: "Yes, yes, and yes!" This went on and on until basically the sales guy told me that the very same Mini I would have custom built if I had time was sitting at Ralph Schomp just waiting for me. At this point I got kind of squeal-y and asked what I had to do to have them hold the car for me. It turns out not a lot. They approved me for the financing (with an extraordinary low APR I should add) and then asked what date and time I'd like to come get the car. Then after all of that was set up my sales guy sent me an email confirmation that even included a photo of my little car just waiting for me. I spent many hours showing that to people and/or just looking at it myself... The day after Nick and I drove into town I had my appointment with Tyler (my sales guy) and as I walked in he greeted me with the phrase, "Are you ready to see your new Mini?" He then led me to a covered car right in the middle of the showroom and we both grabbed one corner of the car cover and pulled it back revealing my beautiful little motoring vehicle. It was very exciting, kind of like being on a game show I imagine. After I finished signing all the paperwork, we sat inside the car while Tyler showed me all the controls, helped me set up all my preferred settings for things like the blinkers, the radio, my blue tooth thing for the phone and on and on. And then they opened the garage door in the side of the building and I drove away smiling like a fool and loving the way my car handles. The thing I love about Mini dealerships is there isn't really any haggling because prices are what they are. And the people that I worked with at Ralph Schomp were so accommodating and friendly that I really enjoyed my purchasing experience here from start to finish whether I was interacting with them on the phone, via email, or in person. Tyler really made purchasing this vehicle super easy on me from start to finish and I would definitely recommend him if you're in the market for a Mini. read more

After the experience I had here, I will never return. We were looking into getting a Honda Pilot. The salesguy was nice enough. Anyway, when we were filling out the financial paperwork, the 'guy in the back' assigned to us couldn't be bothered to actually look at our paperwork. He kept coming back and asking questions on items that were on the paperwork. We also had a cosigner available, if needed. He said he wanted their information before even determining if we needed that person. Since the person was not with us, we'd have to come back with the signed paperwork from them. I came back the next day with my toddler son. It took forever for someone to even notice we were there and to ask if we needed help. After giving the same 'guy in the back' our updated paperwork, he made us wait for 45 minutes before telling me he needed a phone number, which was ALREADY ON THE PAPERWORK. By that point, I was frustrated and not willing to wait any longer. Maybe if he had sat down with me and/or my husband, this process could have been completed a lot quicker and with less hassle. The overall impression I got is that they don't care about women or families unless you have cash or a check to throw at them right away. I tried to contact Lisa Schomp to tell her of my experience, but the receptionist said she was not available and would not take a message for a return call. SCAM ALERT! I came here due to a past purchase that had served me well. However, when I brought my car in for a trade-in, they offered 2K less than any other dealership and refused to bring it up at all. While I considered their offer, I placed a $500 deposit on a vehicle in which I was interested. Two weeks after deciding not to purchase the car, I still haven't gotten the deposit back and I'm beginning to despair! I will never consider a Ralph Schomp vehicle again. Ordered my Mini Cooper just the other day, alas it will not arrive until November (the wait could possibly kill me). The sales staff was exceptionally friendly, they answered all my questions and didn't treat me like I was some flighty 20-something female (which was one of my great fears for this was my first car purchase by myself). I did like the one-price deal, especially since I ordered my car and really didn't have any haggle room to begin with. Now here is my cons: 1. They wouldn't haggle on my trade-in price. I brought in print outs from Kelly blue-book and other car pricing guides that listed my car at a certain price. Ralph Schomp offered me about $2000 less than that. They said they'd give me $500 more if I put new tires on the car (ummm HELLO new tires cost like $500...what the hell is the point?) 2. They were not very good with communication. I was supposed to have my car ordered at the beginning of July, they said they would call, but they didn't, so I called them. They said that the order had been pushed back to the end of July and didn't even bother to let me know. 3. They were kinda pushy about upgrades for my car. I built my car online, brought them the specs and said "order this." However simple a request that was, they seemed to think that I was wealthy or something because they proceeded to list off EVERYTHING I was missing and pressuring me to upgrade. I have never bought a car from a dealer before so I was hesitant. We found an ad on craigslist for a used Honda Pilot. The price was a little higher than the average Blue Book price and we asked if there was wiggle room. Because of the weekend hail storm they were taking 500 off all used cars. We thought that was fair because the car we were looking at didn't have any visible damage. We did the test drive and made the decision to buy the car. We said from the beginning we were paying cash. The salesman said he still "had" to go over the financing options. He did but at a 12.9% rate? Are you joking? There was no point to go over financing in the first place, but to give us that rate with a decent credit score? Really? I tried hard not to laugh in his face. Once I wrote the check and all the paperwork was signed, it took an hour and a half to get the keys. We were told there was a screw in the tire and the car needed to be detailed. Okay, I understand that. The tired was "repaired" but there was no detailing, not even properly cleaned. A gatorade bottle in the third row cup holder, pure grime under the front seat cup holders and worst of all, the tailgate wouldn't even open because something sticky was lining the base of the trunk. That is not detailed. That isn't even cleaned out. To top that all off, one of the key FOBs ("It is so rare that a trade in has two FOBs" we were told) doesn't work. How hard is it to replace a battery, if it is in fact the battery. I want to give this place a 2.5 because so far (3 days, knock on wood) the car is running fine, the salesman talked a little too much about himself but was still friendly enough, the front desk staff was pleasant and offered water or coffee and they were serving hot dogs and hamburgers so we got to eat while we waited forever. All in all, I do not feel that Ralph Schomp cares about people buying their used cars. I am most upset at the way the car looked after being "detailed". I feel a little scammed. read more

Salesman Alex G. is a rude person. He's argumentative with you, and attempts to talk down to you instead of helping you. I do not recommend going here, and if you do, stay the Hell away from Alex! His way of selling you a car is to browse the Web with you. Quality at its finest! He'll express to you how he was a lawyer and a great mathematician. Clearly he's all that and a car dealer in one. Fail! In the end stay away from here! read more
