My wife and I bought a Subaru Crosstalk from this location and have had nothing but problems afterwards: 1) We did not get any information about financing the vehicle in the mail, then we were given a series of phone numbers to arrange financing that did not work. One of the individuals from their finance department invited me to come back to the dealership to meet with them and my salesman, only to then turn me away without having talked through the issue with anyone (I had left work early for this meeting) and given the same information that I was previously given that DID NOT WORK AGAIN. Afterwards I called the dealership office to again ask that I be given assistance or *at least* a functioning contact number that I could use to set up my billing, only to be told 3 times that I would be called back with help and in each of these 3 cases no one called back. 2) They failed to send their paperwork for the vehicle to the Arapahoe County Motor Vehicle office, wasting *even more* of my time. I used a day of PTO to get the vehicle registered! When I called them to ask them about the issue one representative claimed that the Arapaho Motor Vehicles office *did* have it but were claiming they didn't because they hadn't reviewed it yet. This was almost two months after we bought the vehicle for Pete's sake! Another representative claimed that perhaps Wells Fargo got the title and maybe I should call them. Which Wells Fargo office should I call to determine if this is the case? And on what number should I call? Who knows! I've already spent an additional hour on the phone with a Wells Fargo 800 number and am no closer to getting answers. 3) Employees at this dealership do not follow-up with concerns or questions, they do not take ownership over problems their customers are facing, and they do not apologize for any of the issues their carelessness has caused. If you work with this dealership you can expect your paperwork to go missing and to spend hours bouncing around desperately trying to find answers on your own to ensure you actually own the vehicle you already spent 6 hours signing for. read more

I will never do any kind of business with this dealership. ever again. The salesman Joseph Maconnell while initially thorough was horrible when the deal went south. The salesman and the manager lied and materially misled us as it relates to our attempted purchase. Joseph wouldn't answer the questions asked once it was discovered the mileage of the vehicle changed and both lied stating it was taken off site. I used the app and it was at the location. Our agreement even stated work being done on site. Furthermore, the location the vehicle allegedly went is 19 miles one way from where they were. If it had gone there the vehicle would've had more then 28 as it started out at 4.9. From the down payment being made and 2 days with the dealership closed 23.1 miles magically ended up on the vehicle. So much for down payments and honesty from a business. Buyer beware!! The owner responded trying to tell me there were two vehicles and I was advised. I never was as I have the text messages from the salesman stating exactly what i wrote in my reviews. Here's the response from the owner when I wrote the review elsewhere. Hi Will, we are really sorry this whole thing went south. There weren't any lies, there were two identical cars, and the one that we were supposed to sell to you got sold to someone else. It was a mistake on our end that we fully own. When we offered the same exact car but with 20 more miles, you declined which we fully understand. The offer for parts credits etc. was to try and make up for the mistake and to compensate for the extra 20 miles this car had on it. We botched this one for sure and we need to to better. You should not be dishonest in all the lip service you pay the public about Covid precautions. I just had my car serviced. My service writer and the service was excellent. What really disturbed me is that despite all the signs etc about precautions for Covid... while I dealt with my service manager and we were both masked... in that same office one of your employees was unmasked and no one... said anything to her. I have photos of her. Clearly you do not police your own employees. Shame on you for the dishonesty and putting your customers of risk. read more

I would start by saying I am not a direct customer of Subaru. My mom purchased her car there last year and she's had nothing but problems ever since she got her car. This has been mostly at the service department where they keep doing things in order for her to pay more. For example we had our car serviced after we came back from a trip. And the gentleman who helped us said that there was something wrong with the tire. The tire was fine before it went inside to be serviced. But on the paper they did not specify that they had broken a strut, in fact they gave her an estimate of over $300 to repair it. After getting the manager involved, things got better. Horrible customer service. I've been here plenty of times for them to try to change my opinion of them. First, they told me I needed to have something done to my car and we're going to charge me a ridiculous amount to do it. Little did they know, I had just purchased my vehicle from an out of state dealership a few months prior - they had a full inspection before I drove away with it. I had taken my car in because it was broken into, and this dealership tried to capitalize on me while repairing the damage from the theft. Then, when I took my car in for an oil change, they told me I had a courtesy ride to work. I gave them the address to my work, and was told to go meet the driver outside. He was incredibly rude, didn't speak the entire ride despite my attempts at conversation. When I got out of the car, he said "you know, you're REALLY lucky you got a ride here. I'm not doing this again." Not my fault. Do not take your coworkers' error out on me. He was so angry and driving like a maniac I did not feel safe. Next, they're supposedly booked up for 6 weeks for oil changes. What a joke. Avoid Shortline at all costs. read more

I have bought 3 cars from Shortline over the last 5 years and have always been happy with the service and sales teams. I recently bought my last vehicle in Sept. 2015 and turned out to be a lemon. The service team got me in contact with Subaru customer support and got the process started for declaring it a lemon. As disappointed as I that my car was a lemon, everyone did an amazing job keeping me as a customer. Doesn't matter what product or company you go with, you'll always hit an edge case where something can be a lemon. Went in for my very first oil change for my 2020 and to address some other issues I had noticed since purchasing the vehicle in October 2020. I had the displeasure of speaking with Jacob Daly who was extremely rude and eager to toss me off to the nearest advisor after treating me like an idiot because god forbid I couldn't find the correct button on their website for the type of appointment I wanted. It took me all of 5 minutes to turn around and decide to go to Autonation. Will never be back and will always recommend to take your business elsewhere. Edit: Emily, Actually that option was never offered to me and in no way was Charles to blame. However being treated like an idiot over not creating an online appointment is inexcusable. I would have gladly made the appointment to come back at a later time given our current circumstances with COVID but i was met with negativity. My poor rating is not due to a car purchased that I was unhappy with, as I didn't even get that far because the vehicle I traveled very far to purchase turned out to be nothing like the listing with photos portrayed! One of the worst car buying experience I have ever had because the dealership lacks respect for the buyer and they do not care about the car once it's been sold. For ex. I have had my ascent for 7 months and still can't get my plates because the dealership keeps losing my security agreement. I would give a zero if I could. Poor showroom service. "Busy day" one guy says as people who walk in after me get helped before I do. I had to drag my poor boyfriend in to start with. Front desk woman is nice, but sucked to see people who walked in after me just to 'test drive', get helped before I do. A salesmen asks to see if he can help me, tells me that I seem frustrated but that I need to realize that he is making his customers wait just to help me, and that I should be grateful. I'm pissed. I would've liked to look at cars today, instead I had some short, demeaning sales person tell me to be grateful for his time. I will gladly take my business somewhere else. I went to get an oil change and they noticed one of my rear lights was out. I paid *$65* to have it changed. Last week a friend told me one of my lights was out. I made an appointment to get another or possibly the same bulb changed. They couldn't find my appointment for the second time. I was prepared to wait an hour which is what they estimated the service would take. They had to do a multi- point inspection to change the bulb. It turned out it was the light on the other side that was out. I lost it when he told me that weeks ago they "took it out" to check it. I told him that's probably why it needed to be changed. If you touch the bulb it won't work. So they touched the bulb and then didn't change it. What's worse than having to wait an hour to get a bulb in your car changed? Having to wait twice since they didn't bother to do it right the first time. When I told him I refused to pay for another new bulb he told me not to worry, he was going to "Goodwill it". I responded by telling him I am not a charity case. I am just a person who wants things done right the first time. While I was wait if I got a text from Vivian. She wanted to make sure my service was a 10/10. I sent her a lengthy response detailing the above. I still haven't heard back from her. I am not holding my breath. read more

I had the worst experience I've had at a car dealership in a very long time with Mo Tvrtkovic. I went to Shortline Subaru to look at a used Forester and to discuss a trade-in of our car. My wife and I were comparison shopping between a Forester at Shortline and another, very comparable Forester at Groove Subaru. Mo quoted a price to my wife over the phone which matched the offer from Groove, so we decided we should look at both cars and evaluate the service and trade-in offer we received from each dealer. My wife went to Groove, and I went to Shortline to meet Mo. Mo took me to see the car but didn't offer any information, was not helpful, and did not seem to be knowledgeable about the car. I asked questions about the warranty and he seemed annoyed and gave answers that didn't make sense. Then the real shocker came. I told Mo that my wife was looking at a similar car at Groove and that our decision would likely come down to the trade-in offer. My wife had the car we were trading in at Groove, so I asked if I could give him the VIN and mileage and get a ballpark estimate that we could compare to the offer she was getting from Groove before making her drive across town in rush hour. Mo flat out refused to discuss the trade in without seeing the car, told me that he wasn't there to play games, that he wasn't going waste his time to help someone else sell a car, and that if we wanted to buy a car from Groove we should go buy a car from Groove. He wished me the best of luck and literally walked away without a "thank you" or a handshake. When I arrived at Shortline we were honestly 50/50 between buying the car from Shortline vs. Groove, and just wanted to evaluate service at each dealership and find out where we would get a better offer on our trade-in. Within 10 minutes of talking to Mo, I had all the information I needed. I drove to Groove to meet my wife, we negotiated an excellent deal on the car and trade-in, we were treated with respect, and we bought the car. Avoid this dealership, and especially Mo Tvrtkovic, at all costs. read more

I dropped by Saturday (10/21/17) to buy a 2018 Crosstrek limited, I was disappointed to have wasted my time driving across the city. I had to plead with someone to even acknowledge that I was there and when I asked where the Crosstreks were on the lot I just got a wave towards the back and was told "they are sprinkled around out there". I spent an hour hunting through the cars in the cold only to find out they really didn't have any of the limited versions available. When I finally gave up and went inside and asked I spent 20 minutes waiting for someone to look them up on the same website that I could have looked on only to be told that I would have to wait until November 15 for one to come in. I should mention, there were 3 salespeople available standing around talking to each other while ignoring me... and they definitely saw me. I gave up and left and went down to Groove where they immediately and attentively helped me as soon as I walked onto the lot. They seemingly had dozens of the car that I was looking for in every color, I know because they spent the time to drive me around the lot and show me, IN PERSON. Within 20 minutes I had found the car that I wanted and was test driving it. I purchased the car that evening and drove home in it. I couldn't have worse things to say about Shortline and I couldn't have better things to say about Groove. I was and am still baffled, they really do want to sell cars, right? Their customer service is a joke and cost them $35,000, I was ready to buy the car from them. Every person that worked that day should be embarrassed, a 12 year old child could have done their job better than they did that day. Save yourself the time and headache, go to Groove or any other Subaru dealership besides Shortline. read more

I called last Thursday to schedule a tire replacement as I ran over a piece of metal. A plug wasn't going to work, I knew that. I made my appointment - had to wait 5 business days for an appointment and I arrive at 7am as scheduled I was greeted by Charles and I was told the tire was never ordered and oh yea the service department phone team is horrible and don't do anything correctly. I was told my tire was. It available and had to be ordered and it would arrive at 10:30 Wednesday. I call at noon and the people answering the phone told me my tire wasn't ordered and they would send an email to the service department for an update. I told her no I want to speak to someone. I spoke with the service manager and was told he would call back with an update. Once again terrible service. While on the phone with him my service advisor called and told me the tire wasn't there yet and then the service manager responded with it's a UPS problem. Okay I waited 5 days for a tire I could have gotten anywhere the same day!! Do they care about business. My humble opinion is NO they don't!!! I try to support the car dealer when I purchase a vehicle, but I have second thoughts with this dealer!!!! Make sure if you need service look at your options!!!! read more

*Worst service department I have ever encountered* I went into Schomp Subaru yesterday with a scheduled appointment for an oil change and an inspection on a noise coming from the front driver's side wheel.  I was told that they would inspect the vehicle after the oil change and that they would communicate with me throughout the day.  They gave me a loaner which was great.  I dropped my vehicle off at 10:00 A.M. and didn't hear back, so I called around 1:30.  The service advisor told me they hadn't touched my vehicle yet which was no big deal.  I then went to pick up my vehicle around 4:30 when they said it would be ready.  When I arrived to pick up my vehicle they show me an estimate of what the repairs would be to fix what they thought might be the problem.  The diagnosis was to replace both front struts and mounts followed by an alignment, total cost of $1,412.12.  I understand that Dealer costs are typically high so I wasn't upset about that.  They then tell me that I need a plethora of other things replaced including spark plugs for $676.06 (WOW).   I was told that the inspection to just look at the vehicle was $125.00 which was not explained to me at the drop off time.  They told me that a hold would be put on my card and that if there were repairs done then they would charge my card.  But if no repairs were done nothing would be charged.  So this was my big surprise but I paid for it because there were man hours involved and I assumed they did a good inspection.    So this brings me to today 10/2, and I wanted to get another quote.  I brought my vehicle to a specialty Subaru service center.  They had my car on a lift in 10 minutes and said that no honest Subaru Certified mechanic would ever diagnose this problem as a strut issue.  He wiggled my wheel and showed me that it was just a ball joint.  This confirms in my mind without a doubt that the Schomp mechanic was either extremely incompetent or was trying to deceivingly upsell me.  The diagnosis was a ball joint replacement.  Without an appointment, I was in and out of the Subaru shop in 30 minutes with a fixed ball joint with a total cost of $135 vs the $1412.12 dollars Schomp was trying to charge which wouldn't have even fixed the problem.   I hope this review steers you away from this unethical dealership and saves you from being scammed. read more

I drove to Schomp Subaru in the morning after some lights lit up on my Subaru's dashboard. I didn't have an appointment, but I was stressed because I need my car for work. The technician walked up to me, asked me how they could help. They were friendly and polite, and explained how the process would work. They gave me a loaner car, and I was on my way in about 15 minutes. The technician then sent me a text message so I could be in touch as needed. I was updated through the day. The work on my car was completed by 4pm, and when I came to pick up the car, it had been thoroughly cleaned. Everyone continued to be extremely polite, helpful and kind. On what was otherwise a stressful day, Schomp Subaru was seamless and efficient. read more

We did not visit on a Saturday, we visited on a Friday. Second, the biggest issue why we left isn't that he had to go get the vehicle. But he left us sitting at a desk for 30 minutes to get a stock number when we were waiting to discuss numbers, and not told that he needed to retrieve a car as the car we wanted was the car we test drove. So not sure how it magically ended up across the street. I think the biggest issue with your dealership is you didn't read what my review stated, but I wish you the best and hope future customers see this and take note! Best of luck! read more

Took my Crosstrek in for 2 recalls and a rattling sound in the back of the car. Takeshi was very professional and friendly and got me set up with a loaner car after checking mine in. I was shocked by how fast the service was, the recalls were done the same day. They hadn't seen my note at first about the rattle, so they asked a few questions and were able to determine it was the motor for the back windshield wiper (under warranty, yay) and had that fixed the next day. It was very convenient to have the loaner, even for the short period of time, and I appreciated their professionalism and fast service. read more

I asked the "Salesman" for my keys back...he left me & my wife & my daughter standing there for over 5 minutes & he came back saying ....."We Can't Find Your Keys".. I knew that was a LIE .... I looked him straight in his Lying eyes & I said ..."Yes you can find my keys...you just are Not Motivated. .... So I am going to Motivate You." I walked to the center of their busy showroom & yelled at the top of my lungs... ....."They Can't Find My Keys." The Lying "Salesman" ran to the Lying "Sales Manager's Office" & the 2 Liers had my keys back in my hand in 4 1/2 seconds. ..... What a Surprise!!!!!! I later learned that this is a Car Strategy of dishonest dealerships to Intimidate & OR Punish a Customer that .... DOES NOT BUY THEIR Bullying & their ...BULL-SH@T.... Needless to say I have NEVER gone back but I have told of my experience 100's of times & the dab of profit Shortlie thought they could intimidate me into...., has cost them Many, Many Sales... I hope whoever is reading this is warned away From Ever Going Into ...Shortlie Subaru...or at a minimum...Make sure you...Take an extra set of keys... Wow. WOW. I have had to get my 2012 Outback serviced a few times and took it to Groove Subaru, but this past time I decided to try Schomp. And boy... WHAT A DIFFERENCE. From setting up an appointment, to checking in and dropping off my car, leaving with a loaner vehicle for the day (all within 30 minutes, by the way), receiving constant communication via text and phone calls, then to top it off with an exterior car wash with a water bottle and mints found in my cup holder...Schomp Subaru - you have a fan for life.
