I have a 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness. Yesterday for no reason my "eyesite" light went on and disabled a lot of my electronic systems. I was pretty bummed the car has only 12600 miles on it. Up until now no problems. I called Mike Shaw; I was placed with Dominic at the service desk. I drove to see him in person. We went over the problem and I dropped of the car. So today they isolate the problem to a bad hood sensor. Problem was fixed in no time, and I will be picking up the car tonight. AMAZING fast service and repair. Most horrible experience I have ever had. sales person Samantha gave me bad information that led me to buy a MUCH more expensive car which in itself is illegal. Then Greg got involved and he told me for 3 weeks he was going to take care of it and get me the veg I actually needed and wanted. During that time he assured me that it was totally fine to drive the car around despite me worrying about putting mileage on the car, but I'm not keeping. When Greg finally decides to seemingly be ready to get the car for me he informed me that I no longer have a new car and that they could look at treating it in towards the vehicle I wanted while offering me about $19,000 less than I paid for the car 3 1/2 weeks ago!! He wasn't done yet though after waiting until the day before I was supposed to have my wheelchair lift installed on the Forester and after telling me over and over again that he was getting it for me that he just couldn't get it that day.... He has now refused to get the vehicle at all. I went to call to have a conversation with him about this and he is picking up the phone and immediately hanging up on me because I told him that I was done playing his games and having my time wasted and that I absolutely had to have the car today. I was lied to every step of the process and I am now left with a vehicle that is not the car I need or want it does not have the specs that I was told it had and I will not be able to get my wheelchair onto my vehicle leaving me unable to do anything out in the for any links of time because I need my wheelchair! What's worse is that he knows I have a trip planned that is now only 10 days away and because he kept pushing it back and pushing it back if I can't get my Forrester and get it fitted with the wheelchair lift tomorrow as it's scheduled to be, I will have no way to be able to go on this trip that I have spent thousands of dollars on and 11 months planning!! read more

I purchased a used car the 1st of April and was told I would get a refund for my previous cars extended warranty. I took the proof of lose letter from my insurance personally and gave it to the finance person who said he would forward it to the warranty company. I was told I would receive a refund in 4-6 weeks. After I called the warranty company they told me they had never received any paperwork. In then called the dealership and talked to the manager. He assured me me issue "had not fallen on deaf ears" and he would "dig into it" "I'll call you back within the hour". I was told. I heard nothing for several days. I then talked to the warranty company again and they were very helpful letting me know exactly what they needed. That was about 2 weeks ago. So Mike Shaw, the clock is ticking. The refund comes from the dealer so I had better get my refund! read more

I am very very frustrated and disappointed by Mike Shaw Subaru. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership with the verbal confirmation that all paperwork and necessary tests had been conducted before selling this vehicle to me. I was informed that I would receive a postcard in the mail from the DMV to register my vehicle. I never received the postcard so I went into the dealership and they told me to go to the DMV to get it registered. I waited hours and hours in the DMV line today only to find out that Mike Shaw Subaru never conducted an emissions test. The clerk at the DMV denied my registration and said that I had to go get a test before I can register the vehicle. She said that the dealership was supposed to do that but they never did. I am very frustrated because I now have to pay late fees, take time out of my day to conduct an emissions test, and then go back to the DMV and wait In a very long, long line all over again because Mike Shaw Subaru lied and did not conduct standard testing. And now I'm paying the fees for the mistake that Mike Shaw made. I'm a very very frustrated and unhappy customer. read more

I only have 70,000 miles on the car and it still runs fine and looks new. I have been very satisfied with the work. The service advisors are very knowledgeable. Truly superior service from Service Advisor Ean Barberi when I brought in my Subaru for a routine service last week. I only needed an oil change service----but the service team found a bigger problem and Ean gave great advice on how the dealer I had been taking the vehicle to for regular service might be able to fix the problem at no cost and how it might be covered by warranty. So impressed by Ean's (and Mike Shaw's) thorough and no-pressure service that I likely will switch all my service to him and Mike Shaw for the future. Update: Another terrible experience with Mike Shaw Subaru service department. First I was told it would take 1 - 1 1/2 hours in actuality it took 2 1/2 hours. They used to be honest and puntual with timing for repairs. Second they no longer provide customer service or have well trained service advisors. You used to be able to select a service advisor and then choose an appointment time when scheduling online, allowing you build a relationship with your service advisor. Now it seems you just pick a time for your service and you get who you get. The service "advisors"basically just check you in and out now. As I mentioned in my previous post they no longer explain suggested repairs. Just text you to approve or decline said services. So if you have a question about recommended repairs/services you can call but then they route you through entire system which is infuriating when you should be able to call the service advisor directly. Lastly, I have found them being outright dishonest and suggesting unnecessary repairs. For example, I was told in July 2025 that my battery failed inspection however it was less than 2 years old. I declined to get a battery replacement through them because the pricing was outrageous and quite frankly it doesn't take a Subaru specialist to replace a battery. Now in November of 2025 the very same battery passed inspection. Explain that! Additionally they suggested a $4,300 repair for a car worth $7,000 which makes no financial sense for something that may be starting to leak. I'm certainly not a car expert but common sense tells you something isn't right here. All of these negative experiences started happening after the dealership was sold. I'm sad to say that they are no longer trustworthy or customer service oriented. I attempted to reach out to the service department manager and he was not available while I was there. I then attempted to call him and he didn't answer. I left a voicemail that has not been returned. I'm officially done with Mike Shaw Subaru after giving them multiple multiple chances to improve their service and operations. It appears the newest owners don't prioritize customer service and are only looking to maximize profits but suggesting unnecessary repairs. Customer service agent never came to talk to me and explain what was happening. He only communicated via text after checking me in which took him some time. I had to wait in my car for him. Also, he said it would take an hour and it took close to 2 hours just for them to inspect it. My total visit was about 4 hours and I had to wait for my vehicle. My customer service agent, I believe his last name was Munoz, never came by once to explain all of the failed inspection items on my car. read more

UNSATISFACTORY EXPERIENCE. Came here to shop for a car with my sister. Walked around the lot to look at the used vehicles and saw a few we liked. The unsatisfactory part was we were walked past by almost 5 salesmen on the lot and not one stopped to ask if we have questions or needed help with anything. So we went inside to try to find someone and we were met with a "I'm busy, sorry you'll have to find someone else." Immediately I told my sister let's go. If this is the type of service you get before you buy the car it's not gonna be a great one once you buy it. Do better Mike Shaw. Second review of Mike Shaw. My brand new WRX had a bad clutch throw out bearing that was replaced under warranty maybe 7 months ago by Schomp (who helped me when Mike Shaw wouldn't)... now the throw out bearing is going bad again after not even 7k miles, and I'm shit out of luck. Mike Shaw Subaru will happily sell you a cheap car and then tell you to get bent when you need help. Absolute worst car dealership I've been with. First and last Subaru for me... don't buy a manual WRX, even with highway commuting mostly, your clutch will go bad insanely prematurely and you'll be out of pocket. read more

Bought a car here cash in November and have had issues with the service from the dealership since leaving the lot. 1. Windshield was cracked , told it would be fixed when I picked up car next day and it wasn't. Took 3 days. 2. Windshield was then not installed correctly and I could hear air coming through it. Dealership blamed the other company and said I had to call them as dealer wouldn't do anything to help. 3. Called 5 weeks after purchasing cash , couldn't get a person on the phone or a callback for 3 days. I still have not received my title and necessary paperwork to register car two months later... DO NOT GO HERE!!!! We had our tires replaced and they NEVER ALIGNED THEM, causing the tires to bald and cause serious safety concerns. I called them to have an emergency replacement of our tires and the guy was exceptionally rude and not helpful in scheduling a service. I had to go online and book times that I'm not sure are even available. Advisor never answered either. UNACCEPTABLE. We will be taking legal action if this is not handled. Typical dealership tactics! When you're there to purchase the car it's all about service and getting the client what they want. And the dealership wants you to leave a 5 star positive review then you come back for service and your treated in their true manners just another number! Be aware of on how you get schedule and call before you go to your appointment to make sure your not surprised upon arriving that they cannot work on your car. read more

They said they'd had a truck available they would trade and see our car as cash value. Dan Peeples lied to my wife. He lied to me. We are now stuck with a car that has exceeded its cost in repairs. The repairs for the car have now totaled just north of $8,000. These were individuals who made it clear they were here to help. Do your research. Ponder the car market. Remember you're doing them a favor. You have my word that they are not as genuine as they seem and the consumer foots the bill. ---- Pt. 1 So my wife and I purchase a car from Mikes Subaru. Cash. In around 13 hours, that same car was spewing coolant all over the inside of the hood. My car was overheating and a few advertised features weren't working properly. Additionally they informed me of an airbag recall that they would take care of. We take the car back and they said they are going to make it right. It felt genuine at the time. Well, it would seem they lied. Fast forward to $1,400 and a few weeks later where I am currently sitting in a mechanic shop for the same issue they told me was taken care of. They salesman couldn't even tell me if they took it to get the airbag taken care of. My mechanic told me they didn't even bother to clean a part that had caked up so badly, it needed replacing. They sold me a lemon while hyping up the car almost to the point of annoyance. Please be quiet, I'm going to buy the car. I do not recommend them when there are so many other dealerships. read more

We bought a truck from them online, sight unseen. We had it delivered. They were supposed to call a day before. We got a ten minute warning at 8am on a Saturday morning. the truck wasn't as they said it would be. They assured us it had been steam cleaned multiply times. Nope it was not. There were months of pet hair in the back and garbage from the previous owner in the back seat. I had to spend an entire day detailing the truck. Then there was damage that wasn't mentioned. It was all so upsetting. Once they got their money from us, all customer service came to an end in an instant. I wasn't going to leave a review because I am not one to complain, especially online, but here we are nearly 2 MONTHS after purchasing our car and we find out today that the dealership has never sent the title to the DMV. Mind you the car was purchased September 7th and today is Oct 30th. The temp tags expire Nov 6th and the DMV is booking nearly a month out. This was really just the icing on the cake. Tom, who was our salesman, was good to work with. However the entire process was the overall worst experience my wife or I have ever had buying a car. The day we bought the car, we were at the dealership for nearly 5 hours. We were the LAST people to be taken care of with the financing department and I am certain we had our deal done before some of the other folks who were also customers. Furthermore, we bought a car that was a recent trade in so we were not able to take it home the day of purchase but assured that it would be ready for pickup the following Monday, fully detailed (we bought the car on a Saturday). Not only was the car not ready on Monday, but when we finally were able to pick it up on Wednesday they claimed to have detailed it, however the vents were filthy, the middle console was filthy, the windows were unclean, the seats still had dirt and debris on them and one of all weather mats was missing. My wife had to then take the car back on Thursday to get it "re-detailed" yet when she received it, the middle console was still untouched and had dirt and trash in it from the prior owner. All the while having to drive 30 minutes each way out of the way to get to the dealership. Again, I don't have any complaints about Tom because he was great to work with and did all he could to help us, but management at Mike Shaw need to take a serious look at who they have working because the attention to detail and customer service was absolutely terrible. If we would have known how much of a disaster this process would've been, we certainly would've (and should've) taken our business elsewhere. I recommend to avoid this place at all costs - there are plenty of other Subaru dealerships around the Denver area who surely provide much better service than this place. We will never refer to or step foot in the place ever again. read more

I was in need of a car, I heard good things about Subaru. So I headed down to my local dealer, with my daughter. I was greeted by a young man, he was pleasant, I think his name was Eric. He told me he was new. Which I appreciate the honesty. However we got transferred over to an older man named Keith. He kept imposing his politics and religion on us. We don't mind, however I was here to purchase a vehicle not debate about the president. He kept looking at my daughter, keep in mind she is a minor, It made me feel uncomfortable. Looking back I should have left sooner. Or even spoke to a manager about it. He even prayed for us at the end. Which again, is not the time or place for that. We are completing a transaction here. He is very unprofessional and unnerving, I wouldn't feel comfortable my daughter in the same room as him alone. The only saving grace is that Eric was very kind, I hope that he doesn't have to stick around with that man for long. Overall a dissatisfactory visit, other than Eric, he was kind and easy to deal with. read more

Avoid the Mike Shaw service department at all costs!! They did a partial engine rebuild on my wife's 2013 Subaru crosstrek, and when putting the engine back together, they incorrectly shimmed the cylinder heads and put the wrong torque on the head bolts. This caused a clicking issue with the engine that was identified by a different Subaru dealership. When we reached back out to Mike Shaw to notify them of the problems they had caused, they failed to take any responsibility. They were dodging calls and coming up with excuses. Eventually we had to get Subaru Corporate HQ involved to force them to cover the costs of the damages they caused. This was a long drawn out process that I wouldn't wish on anyone else. The managers and service mechanics at Mike Shaw will do anything to avoid taking responsibility for their work, and totally screwed up her engine rebuild so I will never trust them to work on any of our cars again. read more

Where to start... ok with sales, I was illegally sold with tied selling during the financing process. This means they said my interest rate would be lower if I bought their extended warranty. I did not know at the time so my mistake. Item two, when getting my tires rotated (which I bought from there) two lug nuts went missing and my vehicle was returned to me in this condition. Item three, when getting my oil changed the plug in the pan was incorrectly sealed causing it to fail. Items two and three were rectified by the service department once I brought it to their attention but my issue is both of these are serious safety issues that should have been recognized before returning the vehicle to me. I know dealers aren't known for great service, as such I set my expectations low. I wasn't prepared to be lambasted by sales rep Nathan. I made it clear I was not ready to purchase quite yet. However after driving two cars they had on the lot, I was pressured into sitting down being interrogated like a prisoner. He was very curt with me and I would recommend him finding a career with little to no customer interaction. I would probably not be interested in purchasing a car with Mike Shaw any time soon after that experience. It was like traveling back in time to the 1980's the way he acted. To top it off with the 1980's clown act, they sent it what I assume was the "closer" to chat with me to "See what he could do" to earn my business. (I believe his name was "Anthony"). Im not sure if this is normal practice, I never say never, but I cannot see myself spending a dime at this place. Coffee was good though! read more
