Despite what my boyfriend thinks. I totally inhaled this plate. It was fire. The meat was cooked great I usually hate pork, it's usually dry and flavorless but this.... This was great. Okay the menu looks solid. However we went to an event that started 30 minutes prior to getting there and Legit Ass Meats was the vendor for food. In that 30 minutes they were out of burgers, brisket, and sausage. All I was able to get was the Hawaiian special which was $20 each! Where the rating comes is false advertising and portion sizes you are telling me I spent 40 for a few bites of pulled pork a little mac and a piece of wonderbread. Which by the way the advertising said Hawaiian Roll. What a joke! The only reason this place isn't getting a one is because the pulled pork was good. Maybe when they get their inventory and advertising in order I will give it another chance. read more

This is a food truck that sells barbecue situated next to a historic tavern. You buy your food at the food truck and if you want to eat inside you can do that and they'll text you when your food is ready to pick up at the truck. I went for the sandwich and I thought it was tasty and for my appetite it was plenty. He has a larger serving available if you're really hungry. His estimate was it's about a third a pound of meat on the smaller sandwich. The meat was tender and not overly dry. He has one barbecue sauce that'll put on it if you request. With pickles and onions. It's nothing fancy but it gets the job done. Sitting inside the bar was okay as far as I can tell the contrary to the county rule see allow smoking inside. Fortunately there wasn't anyone there that was smoking while we were there. It would have made it unpleasant for us as we're both very sensitive to cigarette smoke. I got a soda from the bar and it was less than two bucks. That's amazing. Outside of the smoking thing, I think the bar would be a fun place to go to listen to music at times. They have a couple of venues, one inside the bar and a larger performance space outside the bar. May I have a calendar performance they bring in on a regular basis but this is an review about the bars it's a review about the barbecue. He also sells meat to go. I think he's asking $30 a pound which is probably beyond my taste. Definitely worth going by and giving him a try. read more

Very kind and polite service, very mindful. Food was absolutely delicious! Loved the pulled pork, the brisket was not as moist AS I PREFER. I know everyone has their preference on brisket, but it was still very tender and delicious. Bbq sauce was amazing! Ultimately, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you! It is a food truck outside of a local bar, not exactly kid friendly but we ate in the car and enjoyed it just as much. Also not a lot of drink options so b.y.o.b unless you want to drink at the bar. read more

I came here with my dog and husband on a Sunday for dinner and had the street tacos with brisket. Absolutely delicious. Fantastic brisket that was generously piled on top of corn tortillas- complimented by a fresh green salsa (not spicy), cilantro, and tangy pickled red onions. We sat out back and listened to some locals who were happily jamming out. Great atmosphere, great food. I highly recommend stopping by if you want a good meal. read more

I blindly placed a catering order not ever tasting this place, and let me tell you this was some of the best barbecue I have had in a while. The brisket was so juicy and tender, and the burnt ends were the best part! The hatch chili mac & cheese was on another level with massive shells just using liquid gold cheese. The beans were probably some of the best I have ever had and were so flavorful. You can tell there was so much love put into this cooking, and even the onions were pickled to perfection. This food truck is doing it right and I will definitely use them again for my lunch office meetings with my doctors. Might have to make the trip from Austin on the weekend to have the family try it out. Definitely a must try! read more

Amazing brisket being smoked here! I tried the brisket sandwich and the meat was so tender. The portions are generous as well. This place competes with the big boys down the street. I also had the Smoked Mac and Cheese and the Jalapeño Popper Potato Salad which were super tasty. A nice change from the sometimes boring and plain sides you can get at a BBQ joint. Legit Ass Meats knocks it out of the park for me and I'll definitely be back to try the other meats when I'm back I town. read more
