Our group of 6 stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night without reservations. They have seating in or outside. We sat at a very comfortable table for 6 inside. Water was served promptly with our menus. Our drinks were served and order taken. The food came out promptly and every dish was delicious. Between the awesome service and flavor food choices, we highly recommend.

Wiener schnitzel sandwich and house salad.

Some of the best German food I've had in the US since living in Germany! We had the jagerschnitzle , tender cutlets, tasty mushroom sauce, perfect spatzle. I missed not having a brotchen or pumpernickel bread. The dessert we chose was a trilogy or 3 samples of the regular sized desserts. The creme brulee was perfectly done. Chocolate cake smooth and rich flavor without being too sweet. Quick efficient service. Nice table setting. Surprisingly nautical decor with American music. The outdoor seating was very reminiscent of a typical restaurant in Germany, quaint lighting, shaded, table clothes ... Can't wait to go back again!

If you're looking for a authentic German food, this is the place. Beautiful inside, but you may pass it buy. We had the jaeger schnitzel and the maultasche. Jaeger schnitzel was served with spatzle and smothere in mushroom sauce. The pork is not fried with breading. It is served naturally. The mUltasche is a large ravioli with ground pork and spinach, smothered in brown gravy and beautifully seasoned with extraordinary spices. Served on top of potatoes and caramelized onions with gravy. The waitress was very knowledgeable and I believe may be German. Excellent service with a smile. Great place to bring on a date or special occasion. Prices are competitive and reasonable. Hard to find a good German restaurant, but we stumbled upon a gem!! Guten appetit!

Minnie was our wonderful server this evening. Absolutely one of the best restaurants I've been in since I moved to Greenville! Outstanding gracious service from Minnie. The food quality was excellent! I had the most flavorful tender pork medallions with mushroom sauce and cheesy Spatzle !! It was DIVINE!!! The dessert was amazing too. I had the Apple strudel with cream and vanilla ice cream in a lovely artful presentation. The ambiance is beautiful and cozy. Very impressive interior decor. I highly recommend Schwaben!! It's a perfect restaurant for a special celebration and it's so nice that the dress code is businesslike with an elegant touch! Definitely thumbs up !!! My compliments to the Chef and the entire Staff!!! Fantastic job!!!

Very nice festive fall atmosphere, good Jager Schnitzel with mushroom sauce, Oktoberfest beer on tap. A couple of cute German speaking girls running around. What's not to love about this place? Danka Shane Schwaben House. P.s. the Bergapfel mountain Apple schnapps is fantastic!

Always so super good!! We love sitting at the bar with them and watching all the hustle. The wife says we are like the "muppet judges" watching it all go down. Anyway, come check'em out. Fantastic!

My 1st visit at Schwaben House was for lunch. The staff was unfriendly, and in some instances, rude. The restaurant had contacted the person making the reservation and informed them that we would be outside eating if we weren't finished at 2p.m. (reservation was for 10 at 12:30). A couple of people in my group asked questions and there is ZERO flexibility (as simple as, please leave the lettuce and tomato on the side of the sandwich--cannot be done)! The prices were very high for lunch. My pork was very "gamey," as well as tough. The spaetzle was good and saved the otherwise horrible meal. The only reason it deserved 1 star was the atmosphere is wonderful!

They charge $17 (lunchtime) for a two-egg omelette consisting almost entirely of greasy fried potatoes. Not worth the money.

It is found tucked behind the building with only a small, letter-sized paper sign marking the entrance. No flashy signage, no obvious storefront, which adds to the appeal if you're into that kind of hunt. Walking up to it late at night can be a little intimidating but it is well lit which I greatly appreciated! Once inside, the space is dimly lit and small, which makes for a genuinely intimate setting. I'd say it's good for a quieter, more conversational vibe rather than a loud night out. We went with the bartender's choice: pick a base liquor, then two words to describe what you're after. I went with vodka and "slightly sweet, refreshing," for $18. The bartender nailed the brief but it wasn't a drink I'd think about again or specifically order by name. Solid execution, forgettable flavor. Service was the real standout. Our bartender was excellent at walking us through the concept and translating vague requests into something that actually worked. That, plus the atmosphere, is enough to bring me back to see what else is on the menu since we made it there just in time for last call so I ended up only having one drink.

Dennis & Logan are two of the dopest bartenders out there who also know how to make a killer drink. I love coming here for Dennis' expert take on an old fashioned, which he has spent a lot of time and effort refining. And I don't kid when I say that this is Greenville's best old fashioned. The attitude behind the bar is very laidback, which will likely offput people expecting a pretentious, posh atmosphere. But if you want a drink made by people who care about what goes in your glass, trust me, pay Rey's a visit.

One bartender (with a nose piercing) yelled at my brother-in-law for placing a small piece of paper behind the bar because there was no trash can near the dart area. When my brother asked if he would have preferred it be thrown on the floor, the bartender replied, "Actually, yes." It was a clear no-win situation. The overall tone from the staff felt aggressive and confrontational. Another bartender (with longer hair) made a comment to our group saying, "If that bitch blows her whistle again," using derogatory language toward women in our party. That level of disrespect is unacceptable. Because of the staff's behavior, we took our entire group, and our business, elsewhere and will not be returning. This experience left a very bad impression, and management should be aware of how their bartenders are representing the establishment.

I had the Up In the Air. I'm more sensitive to sweetness than most, so even though our waiter said it wasn't particularly sweet, I asked them to cut the sweetness further and they accommodated it without issue. My friend had the Ginger's Have More Fun, made with their own house ginger liqueur instead of ginger beer. It wasn't overly syrupy, but the syrup notes were present enough to undercut what could've otherwise been a more refreshing drink. We split the Nacho Average Nachos. It was great for picking at while we chatted and had a good concept, with a solid mix of pickled toppings, rich queso, and protein, and chips that held up fine (no sogginess). The execution didn't rise above the idea. It was a fine, forgettable plate rather than a memorable one. Good portion for two, though. Overall, a nice spot for golden hour drinks if you're already in the area, but not somewhere I'd make a specific trip for.
