Our group of 6 stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night without reservations. They have seating in or outside. We sat at a very comfortable table for 6 inside. Water was served promptly with our menus. Our drinks were served and order taken. The food came out promptly and every dish was delicious. Between the awesome service and flavor food choices, we highly recommend.

Wiener schnitzel sandwich and house salad.

Some of the best German food I've had in the US since living in Germany! We had the jagerschnitzle , tender cutlets, tasty mushroom sauce, perfect spatzle. I missed not having a brotchen or pumpernickel bread. The dessert we chose was a trilogy or 3 samples of the regular sized desserts. The creme brulee was perfectly done. Chocolate cake smooth and rich flavor without being too sweet. Quick efficient service. Nice table setting. Surprisingly nautical decor with American music. The outdoor seating was very reminiscent of a typical restaurant in Germany, quaint lighting, shaded, table clothes ... Can't wait to go back again!

Minnie was our wonderful server this evening. Absolutely one of the best restaurants I've been in since I moved to Greenville! Outstanding gracious service from Minnie. The food quality was excellent! I had the most flavorful tender pork medallions with mushroom sauce and cheesy Spatzle !! It was DIVINE!!! The dessert was amazing too. I had the Apple strudel with cream and vanilla ice cream in a lovely artful presentation. The ambiance is beautiful and cozy. Very impressive interior decor. I highly recommend Schwaben!! It's a perfect restaurant for a special celebration and it's so nice that the dress code is businesslike with an elegant touch! Definitely thumbs up !!! My compliments to the Chef and the entire Staff!!! Fantastic job!!!

If you're looking for a authentic German food, this is the place. Beautiful inside, but you may pass it buy. We had the jaeger schnitzel and the maultasche. Jaeger schnitzel was served with spatzle and smothere in mushroom sauce. The pork is not fried with breading. It is served naturally. The mUltasche is a large ravioli with ground pork and spinach, smothered in brown gravy and beautifully seasoned with extraordinary spices. Served on top of potatoes and caramelized onions with gravy. The waitress was very knowledgeable and I believe may be German. Excellent service with a smile. Great place to bring on a date or special occasion. Prices are competitive and reasonable. Hard to find a good German restaurant, but we stumbled upon a gem!! Guten appetit!

Very nice festive fall atmosphere, good Jager Schnitzel with mushroom sauce, Oktoberfest beer on tap. A couple of cute German speaking girls running around. What's not to love about this place? Danka Shane Schwaben House. P.s. the Bergapfel mountain Apple schnapps is fantastic!

Always so super good!! We love sitting at the bar with them and watching all the hustle. The wife says we are like the "muppet judges" watching it all go down. Anyway, come check'em out. Fantastic!

German restaurants (rather than biergartens serving up German cuisine) aren't the easiest to find, and that's even more true for spots serving up regional cuisine. Schwaben House has some classics (wiener schnitzel, jäger schnitzel, roasts) along with some Swabian regional dishes (schwaben pfanne: pork medallions in a mushroom sauce, and maultasche: meat dumplings with cabbage). We had a 730 reservation for outdoor seating and lucked into getting the patio to ourselves. We each went with a soup and an entree (maultasche soup and wiener schnitzel for her, pumpkin soup and jäger schnitzel for me). Service was speedy and the server brought out a tiny snack before the soups arrived: fleischsalat (meat, mayo, cucumber, seasonings) on a cracker. It was a tasty start to the meal. The pumpkin soup was savory and served, fittingly, in a pumpkin tureen. The entrees both came with a house salad (a mix of baby greens, julienned carrots, cabbage, potato, and green beans in a light vinaigrette. Unfortunately, the mains arrived about two minutes after the salads. No matter: that jäger schnitzel (grilled pork loin in a mushroom sauce over fresh spätzel) was tender and delicious (all the better washed down with a draught of Warsteiner Dunkel), though the spätzel was a little bland. All around: a great meal and priced right for the fare

They charge $17 (lunchtime) for a two-egg omelette consisting almost entirely of greasy fried potatoes. Not worth the money.

Lovely place with great food. Plan to spend a few hours there - not usual speedy experience of a US restaurant

Excellent good. Authentic German fare. Service is what you'd expect, and what I personally experienced in great restaurants in Germany.

I ordered the traditional schnitzel (pork cutlet that was pounded thin). It was not breaded, but it was coated with egg and flour and prepared well. I had the German potato salad and red cabbage side orders. Both were served warm as is custom. I was a bit upset that the waiter gave me the bill when the meal was finished. I told him it was my birthday and that I had wanted coffee and cake. He took the bill and crumpled it in his hand. The portion of cake that he presented could have easily served three! I left the top frosting. The chocolate cake was moist and the frosting between the layers was German chocolate. Available seating offerings were a booth, table, or a table al fresco. It had the beer garden appeal. I opted to sit inside. The restaurant is also very family oriented (as are most things in Pigeon Forge). Prices were reasonable, food was served at the correct temperature, portions were prodigious. The venue was also immaculate. I would recommend this tavern to anyone who appreciates German fare.
