Came here with the hubby. It's in the middle of nowhere, but large, and very clean and tidy. I was a little bit disappointed in the buffet because although the food was good, there weren't very many options. They had a young woman to serve items on the buffet but that made it go a lot slower as there were quite a few people there. Food was definitely good, but not good enough that I would go again. All in all, 4 out of 5 stars.

I already reviewed Schwarts but like happens commonly on Yelp that one mysteriously disappeared. So here we go again, only shorter. We had a great experience it's a ways off the main freeway but the drive is beautiful and worth taking, enjoy the scenery. Once inside it was clear this was where a lot of locals come for lunch, mostly workers, truckers, farmers, ranchers, craftspeople, etc. They all seemed to know each other which made it all the more inviting to us. Having lived in a few smaller towns we appreciate that community only a local restaurant can attract. The food was what I would call homestyle, good quality but not fancy, not overly presented or complicated. This is downhome food, well made that locals can enjoy every day. The prices were more than fair, and the service was friendly and helpful. Outside there is a playground for the kids and a pumpkin farm across the way too.

We had a great experience at Schwartz family restaurant. The food was fresh and overall a great experience. The service was quick and staff were helpful.

The restaurant is a little ways off the freeway exit, but you definitely need to make the trip and stop by.

The staff is extremely friendly. Great service. Great food. They also have a small gift shop inside the restaurant where you can purchase t-shirts and such. You can buy jellies and jams as well as tomatoes and grapes. I'm not sure if all the staff were related, but there was definitely a family feel and vibe. The food was filling and delicious. We purchased the Emma's casserole and it was yummy. If we are ever back in Indiana we will make another visit to this restaurant.

Amish buffet near Potoka Lake campground. Family run and very good. Cheapish food prices with flavorful food. Zero negative to say and will definitely return when camping in area.

This place was amazing. Country style, home cooking. The fried chicken was amazing as were the fried potatoes. Can't wait to go back.

Fried chicken . Fresh green beans and butter noodles . Delicious

Do NOT waste your time getting off the Interstate! Horrible breakfast. Waaay overpriced. Eggs burned, mystery meat sausage.

Nice family cafeteria style restaurant. We tried the apple crisp with a hot cup of coffee after a cold hike, it really hit the spot.

Good homemade cooking. I wish there was a little wider variety but the taste is great.

We showed up and they had one meat option out which was what looked like left over fajitas, and like 2 side items. We had to prepay full price and we thought maybe they are still putting items out or in the middle of refreshing. We was wrong they never added more food to bar or brought out more variety. The only thing they had a large variety of and wasn't almost out was prepackaged little Debbie snack cakes. Also place was not the cleanest.

I started with a huge center cut pork chop. It had a great grilled flavor and a very interesting tomato based sauce. Next there was tasty smoked sausage which was surrounded by a large variety of grilled vegetables. I don't eat veggies but I could tell those who do would be happy as well. Then I had some tasty taco beef and I topped it with some cool bean sauce and cheese and sour cream. I also had a nice piece of steak very flavorful. The iced tea was nice and strong. I also had a glass of orange and even it was better than normal it was strong on syrup with a good bite. Next the deserts. At first I was disappointed because they looked like they came from Walmart. However, when I tasted them I was blown away again. The lemon cake was moist and tasted like the delicious lemon archway cookies from my childhood. Next I tried a pumpkin cream log. The spices were perfect and the filling had an excellent balance of tangy cream cheese and sweet. The lunch buffet was $15 drink included. Not only was it the most real and flavorful meal I've had in years but the couple running the place are super friendly and keep the buffet very well maintained. The place was completely clean including the restrooms. The only thing I was missing was some bread or mashed potatoes, but I think they have those sometimes just not the day I went.

It had been a highlight for him. And all in all, I'm so glad we listened to him. My family was able to find a good brunch. We got a table without a wait -- a bit of a surprise considering how much of a wait other resort restaurants can have. And this buffet had lots of what you would expect: bacon, eggs, pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit, drinks and made-to-order omelets and waffles. Also, I think I saw this mentioned in another review -- get the chocolate milk! I'm not sure what was special about it, but I had had like three glasses of it. It was cold and sweet and just perfect. Our server also kept the coffee flowing -- much appreciated! Especially if you have a family who has lots of opinions over what they want to eat for breakfast, this is a great option to have.

We got the buffet at $21 a person the price was right for the huge selection of food. The buffet had all of your usual suspects like sausage, bacon, eggs, cereal, and an omelette station. It also had biscuits and gravy, juice, a yogurt station, a fruit station, and what I think may have been a smoothie station? Don't quote me on that last one. Drinks include Coke products, coffee, apple juice, pineapple juice, and I believe tea. We will definitely be coming back for breakfast every time we visit French Lick.
