BJ's has really gone downhill over the years. Stopped in for dinner. Shared a couple of entrées and drinks but the quality of food seems to be pretty mediocre. The lettuce that they use for their salads not fresh. The burgers we had were good but the rest of the dishes were tired and not very inspiring. I was overcharged for drinks I couldn't get immediate refund because I paid my Apple Pay and they had to have corporate do the refund but the manager was gracious in getting the refund. The waitress brought everything out all at the one time, even though we ordered appetizer. The waitress even smelled like weed. Normally I'm not a fan of chain restaurants. This is the exception. We were seated quickly. The noise level was comfortable. Our server, Jada, greeted us with a friendly smile. She took our order very promptly.The food arrived very quickly. We ordered the California chicken club and the seared ahi salad. The food wad delicious. Jada was attentive but not hovering. We have previously had positive visits to this restaurant, today however was not one of them. I ordered the chicken sandwich with a side salad. The breading on the chicken was over cooked with little flavor. The lettuce on the sandwich was slimy. The fries I didn't order were the best part of my meal. I was shocked that the dressing on my salad was also tasteless. My daughter ordered a cheeseburger medium rare. Her burger had a chunk of meat in it that was definitely not cooked. This was their Oktoberfest pairing dinner that they offer seasonally. The atmosphere was awesome, the pairings were incredible and the service was amazing as always at these dinners. Suggest you look ahead to make sure you can get a spot for dinner. The seats fill up real quick! All of the food they offer is off their menu and was served up hot and flavorful with a lot of it! We were staying at a hotel in Hagerstown and ordered dinner via DoorDash. The crispy calamari (only rings, no tentacles - yay!) were fresh, plentiful, and delicious. The 1/2 pound of andouille sausage was amazing! It arrived sliced (like you'd find in jambalaya) and packed in its own juice in a plastic container. The pizzas are always amazing. Salads are always fresh and the root beer wings were incredibly tasty. Unexpected because it's root beer but a must try for sure. The desserts are also great. The only thing I would suggest is the upkeep of the bathrooms. They are typically messy with toilet paper on the floors and overall looking like they don't check them throughout the day. I came here many times before and I literally have nothing bad to say. Our waiters are always friendly and one even sat down with us while explaining the menu (lol). The vibe is like a fancier Buffalo Wild Wings and I'm all here for it. The bathrooms are nice and the food is even better, the root beer wings were different but a good kind of different. And my personal favorite; the pozole. It's so good I can't explain, it's like a really warm cookie at the bottom and good ice cream at the top. Anyone who considers to go, please do. BJ's is just one of those giant cavernous rooms that is a pretty nice party place. Enter through a large revolving door and immediately to the left is the bar area. I really do like this physical plant with high industrial ceilings probably 18 feet and no less than 10 TVs, all with different games to accommodate the sports heads. Thank God there was nothing happening to spoil the enjoyment of my wine because there is nothing worse than a room full of screaming fools cheering on a game. The bar is loaded with what appears to be 12 or so beers on tap. Interestingly, though the bar on the window side is so deep that the bartender can barely reach you to serve your food or your drink. Weird. I ordered a Darkhorse Cabernet Sauvignon because it's just been that kind of a day. When I placed that order, she said, "we don't have any wine glasses", because evidently all of them were in the dishwasher. I'm just thinking, um, you need more wine glasses? So I waited for a little over five minutes at which time she promptly served me a white wine. She retrieved it apologetically and eventually I got the right one. I ordered the turkey burger which I have to say was absolutely excellent. It was more like a 3/4 inch slab of turkey meat rather than a turkey burger. It to was loaded with all the accoutrements and it truly was divine. This review would not be complete if I didn't make mention of the men's room. Rare today is the urinal that goes all the way to the floor. This I'm sure, is meant to prevent a mess from the drunks who've lost their aim. Sorry if this was TMI. read more

They have "pizza" as one of their tags but they don't actually make the pizza, it's heated up. When we got there they said they "ran out" of pizza . We got the last large, which was 34 dollars, but their large was the size of an authentic pizza place's medium. The pizza was pretty disgusting, brought it back to our family and we couldn't even finish it despite how small it was (they also messed up the order) Now we ordered to-go, but their actual seating seemed really nice walking through it, so I can't disgrace them too much as a bar. read more

It had been a while since we've been to a BJs Brewhouse, and we hadn't been to the Hagerstown location, so we decided to stop in for lunch. This location was nicer than the others we've been to. The bar is HUGE. They offer a large selection of craft beers on draft, as well as their own brews. The menu is extensive and their deep dish pizza is my husband's favorite. I tried the Bistro Burger and it was phenomenal (and filling - I took half of it home). The prices are a little higher than other chain restaurants, but the food is SO much better. Every time I've gone to BJ's, it's an amazing experience. Some of my favorites are the brussels sprouts. the Huge pork chop which is always cooked perfectly, the flatbread, the wings... everything is just so good. to end with the giant cookie oh my yummm! Service and ambience are perfect as well. The only thing I miss is the cherry chipotle on the wings. Wow, what a mess. Sat down at bar for dinner and a drink. In the past I've been a fan of the two bone pork chop. It's been very consistent in flavor and temperature. On the side I also ordered a wedge salad and cheesy couscous. Within 10 minutes the pork chop and couscous came out but no salad. No big deal told server to just bring out asparagus and that would be fine. After I finished meal and 20 minutes later while finishing my drink asparagus came out. With mgr asking if I needed anything else. I told of the timing sever problem . And she replied, "Sorry things happen and said salad was taken off bill". Probably the most disappointing was the quality of food that was prepared. Pork chop was Thanksgiving turkey dry. Couscous was good, asparagus didn't try because I was packing up to go home. The bar is a great place for a drink. But this is the third questionable meal from this location that pushes my restaurant selection down in my choice of selection. read more
