We came to Cibolo for dinner and my husband saw The Scoop down the street. After dinner, we stopped by for a sweet ending. I got my Dad a scoop of the Mexican Vanilla. He enjoyed it! My husband and I both got a scoop of Thin Mints. Yum! Hit the sweet spot! A good stop for your sweet tooth.

This ice cream was most certainly delicious . It was that rich and sweet vanilla flavor and the cookie pieces were so soft that if you took a bite of the ice cream it was very smooth. It's a double scoop in the cone and the cone itself featured chocolates dipped with sprinkles. The chocolate went perfectly well with the ice cream and would probably be even better with regular vanilla. The chocolate cone didn't overpower the rest of the ice cream. This is a great ice cream place and they also feature a little store inside. [Brownie review coming later in edit] Parking was a pain.

We enjoyed the laid back at retro atmosphere. I must shout out, Celine for her customer service. We tried three desserts and all were great. If you love pecans then the pecan pie ice is a must. It has an abundance of pecans in it. The Mexican vanilla ice cream with vanilla bean versus extract was delicious. The show stopper (picture) was the brownie bowl. It consists of two chosen flavors of ice cream, brownie, hot fudge, caramel(added), whip cream, sprinkles, and topped of with a cherry. This spot is addictive :)

I've visited The Mill ever since it first opened. The owners have always been very friendly and helpful. They were raised in the area and try to provide things that especially people from Cibolo would appreciate and enjoy. They've really come a long way! Started with a boutique in the main room, and they've tried all kinds of things like yoga and painting classes in the room up the steps. Stop and talk to the owners when you visit, they really are quality people. I stopped in today and had some ice cream since I had a break in my day. I make my own ice cream and feel that ingredients make all the difference. Absolutely exceptional, their ice cream! I tried the peach sorbet and the strawberry ice cream. So very good! Very creamy, great texture, perfect temperature, didn't melt right away so you know it had sat an appropriate amount of time, but also not hard so you know it's fresh! The woman who served it was quick and served with a smile. What else could you ask for. I sat at one of the tables and enjoyed my scoops in peace and quiet. Great experience and I look forward to visiting again soon to try more flavors!

Scoop offers some unique flavors and high quality ice cream homemade in Fredericksburg, Texas. It is inside of a boutique and gives you a welcoming small town feel. If you want a nice, cool amd creamy treat on a hot summer day, this place is perfect.

Definitely worth a trip out to Cibolo if you're within driving distance. We went this past Sunday upon the recommendation of a Cibolo-resident. Thank for friends in the know! The Sea Salt Cookie Fudge will change your whole life. It has a nice punch of salt and it's seriously swoon-worthy. The Toasted Coconut, Mexican Vanilla, and Buffalo Tracks were the other flavors I tried (and loved). Pecan Pie was another group favorite. Instead of paying for approximate scoops, you pay for your ice cream by the ounce. Something I'm a huge fan of. The ice cream shop is located in a quaint gift shop in a quaint town on Main St. You can't beat it for hometown feel right outside of the big city.

Awesome place with awesome ice cream. They have the cutest baby cones for little ones. There is not a set price for the ice cream- it is done by weight. I actually lime this because some folks like way more ice cream in a cone than others. Ice cream was smooth and creamy. So good, just wish I had gone there sooner!! read more

We were visiting the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch which was about 10 miles away from this place on a hot and humid Monday. This was nice little store. The staff are very welcoming as well. I had the Mexican vanilla and the buffalo tracks. Both of these were very good as reviews by the previous yelpers. I also tasted the lavender and the amaretto peach and pecan as well. I didn't really like the lavender. Amaretto peach and pecan was ok. I would definitely recommend this place. Everything is made in house and the waffle cone was also very fresh. I found this little gem roughly 4 months ago & have stopped by a good 5-6 times (it's a bit out of my way, which is a good thing). They offer a unique variety of scratch-made icecream flavors, but the most recent flavor - key lime pie - is my favorite! Just wow! I like that I'm able to track the newbies via their Instagram posts, so there's no guessing. The fact that The Scoop is positioned at The Mill is really sweet. You're greeted as soon as you open the door & can request as many samples as necessary. The only "ding" I have, if I can call it that is as many times as I've come (twice in a matter of 4 days) I'd never been informed about the Sweet Rewards program (not sure how long it's been in place) until I spotted another customer getting her card stamped & inquired about it, otherwise, it's a great little spot. read more

This is our favorite ice cream shop to visit as a family, my kids love the little kid sized tables and the ice cream is great! Everyone who works there is helpful and kind, not to mention there's always a new flavor to try. Right now my favorite is the peppermint and the amaretto peach pecan. This is our favorite ice cream place. The flavors are amazing and they get new flavors periodically (if you follow on Facebook they post when new flavors come in). I like how I can tell the ladies exactly how little I want and I don't end up paying for huge portions I won't eat. Angel makes a bomb waffle bowl for my hubby. Seriously pinterest worthy. If you want to find the friendliest small business employees the Mill and Scoop are where it's at! I was just in a few days ago visiting family and one of the girls was asking me if needed some help and I told her yes and she helped me pick out some of the coolest gifts for my granddaughter. What a hidden gem! You can easily miss this place in a brick building, the only indication of the delectable ice cream inside is a flashing neon ice cream cone in the window. Small batch local ice cream--delicious! I could've sampled them all. The Mexican Vanilla & thin mint were yummy. The gooey butter cake was good but very rich, almost too sweet with the chocolate sprinkle cone. The chocolate raspberry was wonderful, with a genuine chocolate flavor. I was especially excited about karaoke on Saturdays. I love coffee and I got a caramel macchiato with oatmilk, nothing great, wish it had more coffee flavor. They only do hot and iced coffee, not blended. Loves the decor and TVs all around and comfy seating. Would love to return when it's up and poppin!

So everyone should find something they will like. As we walked in, we were greeted by Freddy. We told him it was our first time, and he politely went through the menu which is up on the wall. I love when you can watch the chefs make your food. The crepes are being made right up front. Takes skill to thin out the batter into a round circle without the batter running over the edge. The chef made it look effortless. After we placed our order. We got a number to bring to our table. After a short moment, Freddy brought our food over to us. My maple pecan waffle smelled like Texas heaven. And that scoop of gelato on top, was wonderful. I was inducted in the clean plate club this breakfast. If I ever come back to this area, I will for sure eat here again.

We won't be back but we wish them well. Get the ops sorted and this place could be something.

She loved the pastel de nata as it reminded her of Portuguese tarts. We sat on the wooden tables with benched seating & chairs. The sofas are soft but one fabric chair had stains on it. There are other small tables & barstools with counter seating. Nice natural light flows in. Bathrooms were clean & additional seating was outside on a deck. And to my surprise I find this place called "Brew K Cafe", the term hidden gem doesn't do it justice, this place in my opinion offers one of the best coffee I've had in a long time. They offer coffee, some meat items, bubble tea, lemonades among other items. Upon entering the establishment you see a good amount of seating for the size of the place, you are kindly greeted by the people behind the counter which usually are the proprietors of the restaurant. On this episode I got a "Dolce Iced Coffee", I kid you not it was one of my favorites. If you find yourself near Cibolo and you have a craving for something unique you have to give Brew K Cafe a try. The 2 stars is based on the way they charge for icecream. My family ordered 1 scoop each, assuming that they charge by the scoop. The setup is just like a traditional icecream parlor like Baskin Robbins. However, they charge by the ounce. Yes, by the ounce. This truly only makes sense if the icecream is self serve. Two of my children got their scoop in a cup and my daughter and I got cones. I got a sugar cone and she got a waffle cone. I figured there would be an up charge for those cones which is typical, no biggie. When I looked at my receipt I was shocked because for one scoop it was charged .79 an ounce at 7.52 oz. A scoop that we have no control over. I was curious about how they charged so I politely asked. That is when I was told they charge by the ounce. I asked how can they do that when the customer does not control the scoop? They then compared the way they charge to Orange Leaf (self serve soft serve) and Cold Stone Creamery (mix ins and flat rate). The ladies were nice although I could tell the one doing most of the explaining was getting a little irritated, but remained professional nonetheless. When the explanation about the quality of the icecream, the comparisons, and the fact that the manufacturer of the particular brand of icecream they sell requires them to sell it by the ounce did not work for me, she finally resorted to "Well we've been doing it like this for 4 years." My suggestion is to just charge a flat rate. I'm convinced the we paid for the weight of the cones and the weight of the cup. I get it. People in this area are middle to upper middle class. No one speaks out about price because lets face it, it can be embarrassing and make you look cheap. Another suggestion is instead of explaining a complaint away, listen to your customers. You don't have to do everything they suggest, but be mindful of what they are saying. Without your customers, there would be no business. Think of it like this, who is really going to tell you to take icecream out of a scoop to make it cost less? At that point you've only filled the cone and I have no real scoop up top. The icecream tastes good, but just charge a flat rate for scoops and a flat rate for a specialty cones. No one living in that area is going to say anything about the way you charge, but that does not make it the right way. read more

We have actually been to Clear River in Fredericksburg and I'm so excited that they sell their homemade ice cream! Espresso bean is my absolute flavor and I love doing the espresso pour over, the Affogato!!!! it's really good as a shake as well for all your coffee lovers out there! Highly recommend! The staff is always wonderful and you can sample flavors before you decide! read more

This place is the perfect place to go on a hot summer day or after dinner. Ice cream is very good and is hand made in Fredericksburg! A little pricey but definitely better than most ice cream shops in the area. Very cool place to walk around as well and the staff is always very kind! read more
