What a gem!!! Imagine step back into the 1950s to have a homemade ice cream shake and sitting at a soda counter! Not only is the ice cream to die for but the prices are so cheap!!!!! Do yourself a favor and visit scoop deville

Absolutely love this place! We don't live near or visit Hartford very often anymore but it's just a given when we are in the area we are coming here!! Delicious- always!

Love this place, great atmosphere. Tons of sweet treats and at least 25+ flavors of ice cream. Huge scoops that were more than enough. Price was very reasonable considering how large the scoops were. What a great place!

Fast friendly service, smelled amazing. Mimics a 50s ice cream shop. Ice cream is amazing like none I've ever had before.

Blue Moon flavor. And seasonal Watermelon sherbet. Not too sweet or overpowering. Love it

Our favorite ice cream shop! My favorite is the rocky road. Such a neat location as well, the decorations are half the fun!

Tyler's service was fast accurate and very professional. I had the ribs and my partner had the chicken tenders. Just as I tell people by word of mouth, "If you wand really good ribs that come off the bone nicely, you just have to try the ribs here at the Mineshaft." Once again, as always, an extremely satisfying visit to the Mineshaft. A fantastic place to eat. Incessant Research (Investigative Research & Journalism. Not for hire.)

I got the Ruben, which the menu describes as a hearty portion of corned beef. You'll see in the picture there were 3 thin slices of lunch meat type corned beef. Husband got the patty melt. He thought it was OK, not great but not terrible. I thought it tasted like propane. It had a distinct gas taste to it. We had the "nachos supreme " as an appetizer.... my fault I should have read beyond the title. One assumed that supreme meant Toppings. Nope. Ground beef, liquid cheese, on chips, with jalapeños. That's their version of supreme. Bland, after a couple turned gross and colgulated. First time here since moving back to the area a year ago.... go somewhere else. Uncle Larry's is a MUCH better alternative.
