Chocolate/Vanilla Swirl Ice Cream w/ warm chocolate chip cookies
    Paul W.

Decided to check out Scoop Dreams that was in town last week. I immediately felt right at home when I heard Bay Area underground rap music blaring outside the food truck. Staff was very chill and friendly. Got the chocolate/vanilla swirl ice cream w/ two warm chocolate chip cookies which was theirbspecial of the week. The ice cream had great flavor and was very creamy smooth; while the cookies were great! Reminded me of Nestlé Toll House, but a mote homemade version. Scoop Dreams usually work the Vacaville or Winters areas; so I'd you're ever un the area and craving ice cream, they're the ones to go to!

Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Support local businesses! This one has great soft serve and toppings. Make sure to check their instagram or facebook to see where they will be located and what flavors they will have. This time it was vanilla and pistachio. I got it as a swirl with toffee pretzels. I also got a small vanilla for the kids and they were able to put it in 2 separate cups for me.

This ice cream is delicious. It's so hard to put into words, but it tastes so clean (fresh). I'm not even sure how to express how delicious this ice cream was. The two ppl working tonight were super friendly My only suggestion would be for them to maybe have some more lighting to attract people when it's dark. The only reason I knew they were there was because of Instagram. I hope to have this again soon.

This review is long overdue. We tried scoop dreams on my wife's bday in late January. We met the owner of Scoop dreams and I was astonished at this young man's aspirations and drive! Devan is an awesome entrepreneur/business owner and I am grateful to be leaving this review. I was joking around asking if they do any specials for my wife's birthday, and he told us not to worry about it. He insisted on giving us a free ice cream, but we were really there to support local business and get some bomb ass ice cream. The ice cream was delicious and nicely swirled. The cleanliness of presentation and outstanding service even when dealing with multiple customers.

Love to support small & this is definitely one of my favorites! Great prices for portion size & quality. Enjoyed the coffee & vanilla flavors this evening, rotating flavors on the menu. Excited to try more ! Service is very kind & friendly. Love to see young entrepreneurs, here's to a very successful business !!

Scoop Dreams is so good! My husband and I have gone 3 times in the past month, and we live in Sacramento which is about an hour away, but well worth the drive. We both have had the seasonal flavor of pumpkin and vanilla swirl with granola/graham crackers twice which was absolutely amazing. Today, we tried the brownie with strawberry topping, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream, and it was so good. We are looking forward to all the new flavors for the upcoming holidays. The service is always great! The owner and the staff are personable and friendly!

Mmmm what a fun treat to bring the family together on these warm summer nights! The team members are always nice when we order and the ice cream is delicious!

Horchata soft serve, Mexican hot chocolate and a churro

We loved Scoop Dreams!! Follow on Instagram and find out where they are located, it's worth it!! We had the special which was Horchata, Mexican Hot Chocolate and a Churro

AMAZING Ice Cream! Awesome business operated by a Nice young man. Great taste in music too! Support him when or where you can!

Soft serve in a cup in front of the Scoop Dreams truck.

I got the chocolate vanilla swirl with Oreo crumbles while Scoop Dreams was serving in Winters. The soft serve was creamy and had well-balanced flavors. Lots of fun toppings and generous portions! They were super friendly. Totally worth it, even on a cold, rainy day!

Fremont Street Eats is a lively outdoor community event organized by the city's Chamber of…read moreCommerce. It is located off a newly renovated street where new high rise development were put in to increase dwelling density and foot traffic. It is not quite there yet, but I can see where this is going. It is held in this square near a business park so there is plenty of parking. There is a grassy square where families like to lounge with picnic blankets and lawn chairs. There's usually a dj dishing out tunes, a beer and wine tent, and about 8-10 food trucks lined up in an organized fashion. It goes every Friday in the warm months so from May to October. If a holiday pops up on a Friday like 4th of July they will skip it. Starts at 5pm and goes to about 9pm. Bulk of the crowd goes from 6:30 - 8. I go to about 2-4 per year since 2017, with the exception of 2020 cuz y'all know why. You can see the food truck line up each week on their website or socials. So I like to scan that and if it looks promising then I'll text some friends/family if anyone wants to meet up after work on Friday. If the weather is nice, it is just a just a festive and social way to start a summer's weekend. Now even tho I like these events I don't always like food truck food. Sure it is trendy and you do get to sample and /or get stuff brought to you in one area. But I often just find many of the food to be just average at best at prices that rival sit down dining. So to me I like scoping these out occasionally but I don't think they are worth going to on a frequent basis. I also feel that there aren't enough places to sit and eat once you get your food from a truck. There is a small area where they put out portable picnic benches, but those fill up with just 20 people or so. Otherwise you have to sit on the lawn and come prepared with blanket or lawn chair, or find a concrete planter box to sit on, or go back to your car to eat. Another reason why food trucks events often leave me hanging. But bring a warm typical Bay Area summer's evening where it doesn't get dark til almost 9pm and you want to be amongst your community and commerce, this event will do you more than fine.

There was even some line dancing going on in the makeshift stage area at some point. Sound was not the greatest, the volume quite low even for a small event, but it was fine. There were about 8 food trucks to choose from, along with a few random vendor/service tents (like Bass Pro Shops). Decided on sliders and garlic fries from the Curveball food truck. The food was okay, good enough to satisfy my hunger (see my separate review on that). I snagged one of the few spots in the grass with shade on this hot evening, though they also have tables and seating here, partially shaded too. An actual restroom (not porta potties) on site, in the Fremont downtown event center building. Also, plenty of space available in the parking lot. This is a pretty low-key community event, free to attend and grab a bite to eat, and just hang out for an hour or two.

Rebecca was running the truck with her husband, and they were warm, friendly, and hard-working. That same care reflected in the food. Comforting flavors, big portions, and just what we needed. ---- Food ---- The hot dogs here are big, delicious, and fantastic value for the price. Wushu Dog: Loved this one. Inventive and delicious. Great texture, topped with pork sung and crispy cabbage, plus katsu sauce and Japanese mayo. Savory, crunchy, and satisfying. Sumo Dog: Japanese curry beef chili with cheese and fresh scallions. Hearty, comforting, and perfect for that chilly evening. Fried Foods: We didn't try, any but they serve fries and potstickers too. The fries seemed to be a crowd favorite at Great Notion Brewery next door (which is partnered with Dojo Dog). Definitely getting them next time. Rebecca told me she enjoys experimenting with new dishes, and the creativity shows. Looking forward to trying more! ---- Drinks ---- We didn't but drinks as we were enjoying beer at Great Notion, but Dojo Dog also offer drinks like milk tea. ---- Bonus ---- As I mentioned, they partner with Great Notion, one of our FAVORITE bars in the Bay with the best smoothie beers and stouts. You can bring your Dojo Dog inside and pair it with their awesome beers. Inventive hot dogs + beer = awesome evening ---- Vibe ---- Cute little food truck, family-run charm, friendly service, and an endearing hole-in-the-wall feel. The whole setup feels local and community-driven. In fact, it was originally created by Berkeley students. Very cool. ---- Overall ---- Amazing hot dogs, great beer next door, friendly owners, inventive sides, and a fun, low-key vibe. It will hit the spot every time.
