Was in the downtown area and, as far as I could tell, this was the only ice cream spot around. Now…read moreto be fair, there was a festival going on that I didn't know about, so the place was packed. But I really appreciated the two people working -- despite the crowd and the rush, they kept things moving smoothly, stayed upbeat, and were kind enough to let us ask a few questions and try some samples. I love that they give you the option to build your own creation, but also offer pre-made sundaes if you're indecisive. I got a cone cup with two scoops (though I'm pretty sure I was blessed with a little extra just for being friendly!), plus a sundae, and I want to say it came out to maybe $20 -- if that. They also had a display near the entrance with a variety of sweets I almost missed. I grabbed a chocolate-covered peanut butter ball and... yumm to the e! Highly recommend this spot. Great vibes, great service, great treats. 10/10 would absolutely come back.

There is a good bit of random lots to park in so parking should be no issue. We came on a Saturday afternoon as well and had no issues being waited on! The ladies working were so patient to let us try everything. I ended up getting a kiddie scoop of the chocolate moose tracks which was only $3 which i thought it was a great price!!! The ice cream was delicious, its Hersheys so served lots of places and very delicious! A great stop if you're in downtown ball ground and they have cute outdoor patio to sit on if the weather is good.

We got it and it was very clean and modern. They have a space theme, but it seemed like that's what the initial idea was and it dropped off along the way. The setup is very similar to other cafes and their ice cream display was very nice. They have some interesting flavors like Hokey Pokey and we were able to get some samples which were all good. Myself and another opted for the 2 scoop cup and i got Hokey Pokey and the hazelnut chocolate (forgot the real name) and they were very good... but I was put off by one thing. Both of us got 2 different flavors and were charged a dollar more for it. That seems like a rip off and honestly left a bad taste. I thought it'd be a good option compared to Jeni's, but not with pricing like that. The scoops were also considerably smaller than Jeni's and Jeni's is a better deal and a better ice cream in my opinion. I'm not a fan of getting nickel and dimesd for something that shouldn't cost more. I'm sorry it took so much effort to scoop from another flavor. I won't do it again.

Polar bear ice cream is this sweet little ice cream shop in a strip mall outside of the Big Canoe…read moreentrance. It's rather small but just a couple of booths and a few tables as well as a bar for seating. There is also ample shade outside! The girls behind the counter were friendly and helpful answering questions. The samples are generous. They had freezers with the names on them. Being an ice cream connoisseur & maker, however, I was disappointed in many of the flavors as they just didn't seem to have a homemade taste. The spumoni was visibly icy and wasn't creamy on the palate. It's not small batch like Jeni's, or high quality product like Haagen Dazs or what they serve in downtown Jasper at Lollidrops. The mouthfeel just isn't quite there. I settled on cherry ice cream with chocolate chunks and praline pecan. The portions were very generous and nestled nicely in a (underbaked) waffle cone. We enjoyed it as we listened to the old time jukebox as it bellowed 90's music. Great atmosphere. Have had great things about their hotdog and their coffee so I won't hesitate to come back when I'm in the area to try those. For ice cream though, meh.

So we waited...10 minutes and she didn't come out so we got our cups and pulled the lever to get the yogurt out and the nozzles were not even on!! Big round logs came out. That's not the worst part. At the fruit bar, I put some mango on my froyo and took a huge bite (after i paid) and the fruit was ROTTEN. Seriously I just paid $7 for this?! Nothing from the counter girl, nothing at all. I've been a loyal customer for 2 years now, going at least 1 time a week. I'm so disappointed!!!! My review from 2012: Nice place :) good frozen yogurt, most all of it is fat free! The toppings are heavy but there is also fruit and nuts and all kinds of stuff. You pay by weight so a cup will cost you around $7-$8. Tip jar at the register is a little tacky since you serve yourself. All they do for you is weigh the cup and ring it up. Really nice treat place though!
