Featuring a candy wall, ice cream (obviously), chocolates case, and a plethora of games/gifts, there is something for the whole family. The candy wall is super fun with a nice variety of different treats to choose from. There is a bunch of different ice cream flavors to choose from as well. The ice cream unfortunately is not house made but it is pretty good. My favorite part of Scoops is the chocolate case. I absolutely love the selection of chocolate dipped candies. The staff is usually pretty friendly but they are young as you would expect at an ice cream shop and younger staff is usually not well versed in good customer service so expect a wait as there is no pep in any step behind the counter. read more

A very cool lil candy shop we discovered after dining at 1885 Grill. They have all of the nostalgic old school candy. I ended up ordering the creamy and smooth cookies n cream ice cream. Definitely a spot we'll be checking out soon. The service is very quick and friendly staff. read more

Scoops is a local ice cream/candy shop that sits directly on the square, next to Henry's in downtown Acworth. We recently had dinner at Henry's and instead of grabbing dessert there, we opted to walk next door to grab the sweet stuff. After taking it back to my childhood and ogling all the candy, I made my way up to the ice cream counter. I had a few samples, but ended up settling on the Oreo ice cream. Simple and delicious! One scoop in a cup ran me about $7, but it was a heck of a scoop! If a cup isn't your thing, they have a variety of cones and even milkshakes. Additionally, you can also add a variety of toppings to your already decadent scoops. Service was friendly from entry to exit! The place is small, but they still make room to enjoy your ice cream in store at a few booths at the front and rear of the place. Speaking of rear, they also have a great patio as well! The service was amazing and the Caramel Apple.... Let's just say this was one of the most complex and amazing apples I have ever had IN MY LIFE. The caramel was hard like a candy apple so you got this wonderful crunch. The apple was so juicy and delicious it almost tasted carbonated, but like in the best way possible!!! My Hubby had visited Scoops with some of his techs while they waited to get into a restaurant down the sidewalk just a few days before I was able to get there. We stopped in during Juneteenth weekend before we walked over to the park to enjoy the festivities. I was born in the 70's and remember as a little girl my Mom taking me to an ice cream shop that had a similar nostalgic feel. So when I walked in, I felt like that little girl from all those years ago. The smell of sugary treats hits your nose as soon as you walk in and your mind starts a frenzy as you have to make a decision on what flavor I've cream you want to try. When we walked in we were greeted like we were old friends or weekly repeat customers. Everyone was so helpful and patient even though the line was growing quickly and the chatter getting louder and louder. I wasn't sure of what I wanted so I had a couple samples and chose the lemon cheesecake. It did not disappoint! Since we still had a little while before we wanted to go to the park, we sat outside in the rocking chairs and enjoyed our delicious treats. We even saw one of our oldest son's good friends who says he and his wife are often patrons. I can't wait to return and bring our grandkids. read more
