There are many ways to end a good night. And then there are scoops on tap. I had the pairing of both ice cream and craft beer and it was spectacular.. the barrel age was fantastic with anything coffee or chocolate related. The chili mango was refreshing with a lager. And the IPAs were refreshing and super smooth when it came to eating the key lime ice cream.. service was good, and it's located in the downtown Covina area, which is definitely a cool spot. I love that the ice cream rotates, and so does the beer.. 100% recommend this for a date night.
Scoops on Tap has a bit of everything. They got ice cream, pop, beers, and wine. A one stop shop for desserts and drinks! It's not very big place, it's got a small indoor/ outdoor seating area and friendly staff. I recommend the chocolate for ice cream and also the root beer float. You can't really go wrong with either one, that is if you've got a sweet tooth! Perfect spot for date night or hangout spot with friends.
I honestly can't believe I've never reviewed Scoops before. I've been coming here once a month for the last few years to try their new rotations. My husband and I have the monthly tradition of trying the delicious samples then settling on a taster flight (4 kid scoops of different flavors). I look forward to it every month. Service has always been top notch. The inside has 3 small tables and 2 small bar areas. Very bright and colorful inside. Outside there are more tables. The ice creams are split by reoccurring, dairy free, and alcohol infused. Try as many samples as you'd like before deciding! The scoop sizes are very generous which is a big reason why I keep to the kid cups. The ice creams are always very creamy and delicious. Be on the look out for any toasted marshmallow bases, banana bases, or coffee bases. In my opinion, those are always home runs. Not too sweet, but always amazing!
Customer service was great even though it was really busy. They let us sample whatever ice cream we wanted. The flavors were delicious! Will be back!
Scoops on Tap is one of my go-to spots for ice cream. Scoops is located in downtown Covina. This place is always packed at night. When you enter, they have bar top seating on the left and the ice creams on display straight ahead. Each time we come by we are greeted by the staff. We have frequented Scoops many times so the staff would consider my husband and me as regulars. Each month, Scoops offers a variety of unique flavors, including some plant-based options. My personal favorite is the Ube Coconut, which is one of their regular flavors. I love the richness and creaminess their plant-based options offer. This past September, they released Mango Lassi. This was so good I purchased a pint before the month ended. Overall, if you are looking for one-of-a-kind house-made ice cream flavors Scoops is the best option in Covina. There's a flavor for EVERYONE! 10/10.
This place is a glorious monster -- half beer & wine bar, half ice cream parlor, and somehow it works. Like Frankenstein's creation, but instead of torches and pitchforks, you'll want a spoon and a pint. The staff are super friendly and eager to offer samples or steer you toward your next weirdly perfect combo. Ever had a cream ale float? Now's your chance. Feeling wizardy? Butterbeer ice cream awaits, Gryffindor. Inside's bright, busy, and buzzing, but you'll want to relax out on that patio anyway. Holy moly the ube and caramel Oreo accident flavor was so amazing!!! My roommate is lactose and got dairy free ube This is my second time here and the owner/ employee is so sweet. Plus he isn't stingy w the samples. I remember loving the alcohol infused ice cream too. Anyways Love supporting local businesses! The portions were good too Can't wait to come back
Very nice and very chill workers. You can ask for samples if you want to try their unique flavors before you commit to on. Or you could be like me and choose an ice cream flight! Best option for indecisive people like me. The icecream flavors do change occasionally so there's anyways something new. The icecream is good but I will say it is more on the sweeter side. I get a flight every time I go. They also have outdoor seating.
loveee this spot for ice cream! they have great hospitality and we're always greeted with a smile. they let you sample any of their flavors and explain to you if you have any questions. inside has some seating and the outside as well. it was cool to see how they have beer and can do flights along with ice cream! i love their butterbeer ice cream, it's so creamy and has a lot of flavor. their best was their seasonal ube haupia flavor! they saved a few pints for our group because they remembered how much we loved it! amazing!! we come here every month and will continue to do so :)

This place is a hit every time we come. My kids absolutely love it and it's become one of those spots we go to whenever we get the chance. The flavors are great and they rotate a few monthly, which keeps things fun so you're not ordering the same thing every visit. Everything we've tried has been solid and the quality is consistent. The setup is unique too. Ice cream for the kids and beer or wine for the adults makes it an easy stop for the whole family to hang out and relax for a bit. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is friendly, and it just has that feel-good neighborhood dessert spot energy. Overall one of our favorite places in the area and definitely worth repeat visits.
What a wonderful idea - ice cream with bold flavors and ice cream was booze! Ever wanted a float with a kick? They have many choices on tap to get with their very delectable ice cream. When you walk in, they allow you to sample their ice creams with some with diary and non-dairy. Some have infused alcohol, like rum for example, and fruity ones as well. I really enjoyed the butter beer, millionaire pie, ube coconut and matcha with strawberry. This place has really friendly servers and medium amount of places to sit, indoor and outdoor. Wonderful for a date! Next time, I will definitely try icecream with some beer on tap.
Service and taste 5/5!! Located in the Downtown Covina strip. We were greeted by the owner and oh man he took his time explaining the concept and flavors! He offered us so many flavors to try and none of them disappointed! Cool concept where you can get some ice cream and alcohol at the same place.

I had this place on my list of ice cream shops to try for the longest time and finally got the opportunity. I ordered a salted caramel apple and strawberries and cream double scoop which was about $10. This was some of the best ice cream I've ever had. The salted caramel apple was made with hints of hard apple cider alcohol (less than 0.1% alcohol). I could taste the hard cider flavor and the caramel apple. The slight hints of salt enhanced the taste of the apple flavor. The strawberries and cream was a mix of strawberry and vanilla. They are both my favorite ice cream flavors so this was delicious for me. Overall, flavor and texture of the ice cream was 11/10. The texture for both the ice creams were very creamy and sticky. This is the spot I would recommend to friends and family. I will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in the area. read more

Was walking by and decided to stop in and I'm so glad we did! Wow! The ice cream here is fantastic, the customer service is great, and the options for ice cream and beer/wine flights sound super fun. I tried the Bees Knees flavor and was really impressed by how incredibly silky and creamy the ice cream was! My partner got a vegan cold brew milkshake and loved it! Wow. What a creative and delicious ice cream shop! 50 First Dates was a wonderful play of acid (pineapple), salt (bacon), cream (marscapone), and crumble. Amazing! They also have a Cali Creamin' (beer) on tap, which I thought I could only get down in SD! I highly recommend this place! read more
Love this place! I enjoyed that they keep coming up with different flavors to keep things interesting. Sometimes the ice cream can be on the sweet side but some they make it really good. The ube, espresso martini are some of my favorites. The scoopy snack for dogs is delicious for my little cooper. We come here at least once a month. Staffs are very friendly. They have alcohol too and some ice creams are infused with alcohol but you don't taste the alcohol, just the flavor. There is also beer and wine float you can try if you are into that. Saw this place on IG so I thought I'd give it a try. Clean outside and inside. Many items to choose from. They allow you to sample flavors I tried the tester flight for $12 (in order of preference): Butterbeer ( Fresh butterscotch blended into sweet cream with sea salt and buttery english toffee.) Buttered Popcorn (Sweet, Salty, Buttery, Popcorn deliciousness! Made with movie theater popcorn salt and movie theater butter with chunks of candied popcorn!) Season of the Twix (Twix inspired ice cream made with a cookie butter base, fudge swirl, dulce de leche, and housemade shortbread.) Snickers Cheesecake (Rich cream cheese base with flaked chocolate, a dark chocolate fudge swirl, a caramel swirl, and salted peanuts. Infused with a peanut butter chocolate whiskey. Ice cream was cold and creamy. There was a cashier and person providing the samples. Service was adequate. Free cone when you check in on Yelp! I'd recommend you try them. read more
This location is very easy to find. Parking is street parking,may require parallel parking. They have unique flavors that constantly change except for 3 flavors; one of them being vanilla bean. It was delicious! They have alcohol (beer and wine) that is paired with ice cream! The prices vary depending on your choice of alcohol. We didn't get any to try, maybe next time? The worker who helped us was so kind and went above and beyond with customer service. He gave us a whole spiel about the three different kinds of ice cream they offer: signature, spirit-infused, and plant-based. He let us take our time and sample the ones we wanted before finally deciding on our favorites. I went with the ube coconut which was definitely strong on the coconut since it's plant-based but a lot lighter than the others because of it. The pb and crackers is one of the limited-time flavors for the spirit-infused collection and I liked that it was a bit salty to balance out the sweetness. The one that was way too sweet for me though was the butterbeer, despite it being the most popular flavor. I also tried a bit of the drumstick which actually comes with drumstick pieces which I thought was cool. I only got to try this much because I sample all of my family's but you can also order a taster flight which would work even better. Omg the best ice cream i have ever eaten. I made a yelp account just to review this place. If i could give this place 10 stars i would. The man im assuming was the owner was SO NICE. I come in and he tells me about all the flavors and how they are all made in house, which ones have dairy, and so on. He gave me like 7 samples without me even asking just to make sure i got the flavor i really wanted. Also did not skimp out on the portions at all. I got a single and i got 2 flavors both with full scoops. I had already eaten a lot before i took the picture. They had indoor and outdoor seating and the place was so cute. I will be back. read more
Great ice cream shop that is known for blending in craft beers into their ice creams or at least that's how I know of them. Up until my first actual visit to the brick and mortar location, I've had their ice cream A LOT as a pop up at various Bottle Logic events down in Anaheim. They have suggestions for wine/beer/ice cream pairings in the store as well. Having had lots of different flavors, I have to say I'm a huge fan of their ice cream. Great, creative flavors with quality ingredients, and the base ice cream itself is super creamy. The folks here are very friendly and super helpful as well (at the location and the people at the pop-ups). I'm not too familiar with the area, but this spot is located on what seems to be a stretch that's considered Downtown Covina. Came by on a Friday night and the street and place felt lively, especially with a farmers market going on right across the street. There's a lot of street parking, but because the area was busy at the time, I parked a few blocks away. read more

Came here for a late night of ice cream and saw ButterBeer as a potential ice cream cone selection. I tried several other flavors but ended up choosing the ButterBeer flavor as it was creamy and tasty. The staff stated that the ButterBeer was a staple and all the other flavors come and go typically. The staff were helpful and offered all the flavors to try. The place was small with a table for four and eight countertop seats for people to sit inside. They do have outdoor seating as well. Next time around I'll try their root beer float or a milkshake. This ice cream spot caught my eye because it landed on Yelp's top 100 ice cream spots. We happened to be in the area for dinner so naturally we had to stop here for dessert. Since the three of us were very indecisive, we opted for the taster flight, which includes little cups of four flavors of your choosing. The flavors that they're scooping change, so be sure to check out their website to see what they're currently offering. They have a signature series (think more typical ice cream flavors), plant based series, and spirit infused series (which are non-alcoholic!). Even a simple flavor like madagascar vanilla was very tasty. I loved the spirit infused series because it's not something you see often! They also serve beer and wine so they truly have something for everyone. The staff members were very patient despite how indecisive we were and were happy to offer samples. There's several chairs inside and a nice seating area outdoors. I have yet to come across a place for spirit infused ice cream! Parking situation: Street parking but when we came on a weekday evening there were so many spots right in front. Seems like a relatively quiet area so I'm sure you can find a spot, even if it requires driving a little further down. read more

I haven't actually visited their facility, but was able to try their pop ups at Bottle Logic and let me tell you. Their ice cream is amazing! You can see the love and care they take when creating their very unique flavors! Cephalophilosophy: ube ice cream with chunks of maple pecan graham cracker bark. just WOW!! So unreal this combination, loved the chunks of bark! Upside Down: Browned butter ice cream with a blackberry swirl and chunks of shortbread. Definitely another favorite that I enjoyed!! The combination of the shortbread and blackberry swirl is just so amazing! I would love to make the trek to the actual storefront one day to get the full experience soon!! read more

Awesome ice cream selection that changes monthly. Any leftover flavors for the month, they pack and sell in pints until they run out. Great guys behind the counter - helpful with choosing a flavor and they have dairy, non-dairy, plant based, and infused with alcohol, (mostly just for flavor). They can also do half and half single scoops if you can't decide. I'll definitely be back to check out next month's flavors. read more

I've had this place bookmarked for a long time so when I finally got the chance to try it out.. it did not disappoint. I'm glad the worker gave me so many samples because I had internal conflict with myself deciding on a scoop flavor. Let me tell you. There is NOTHING. NOTHING. Worse than food regret. If you see something that looks or sounds delicious, you should try it. Life is too short to be suffering from food regret. With a place like Scoops on Tap, there are so many unique flavors you never would have thought would have existed. They have staple flavors year round like their popular (rightfully so) butterbeer. But they also offer dairy free, keto, and boozy infused icecream. I have never seen such thoughtfully crafted inspirational flavors like these. I tried 4 flavors but my heart kept going back to the butterbeer. This butterbeer is creamy, rich with a strong toffee flavor and a sea salt finish at the end. You can really tell how fresh and high quality the ingredients are with each bite. The icecream consistency is so soft and creamy. The waffle cone was extremely buttery and sweet- definitely not your average waffle cone. It was crispy and perfect with each bite of creamy cold icecream. Interior is festively decorated for Christmas for which the season was at the time of my visit. The interior is very clean and bright. There's a wine bar on one end where they strategically pair wine with the accompanying and most fitting icecream flavor. The worker was so friendly, knowledgable, and patient with us. He walked us through the menu and offered us samples based on some questions on what we typically enjoy. If you're in Azusa, I would highly recommend checking this spot out. If you're like me and you love trying unique high quality icecream, come here! It reminds me of Salt & Straw but with much better quality, better flavors, tastier waffle cones, and more reasonable prices. After lunch, I wanted to grab dessert and found this place on Yelp, which is on the way home. This shop is located in downtown Covina right across from a park. There is plenty of parking on the streets and nearby lots, but these can get filled during busy times. Luckily I came soon after they opened so the place wasn't packed. I was able to get a few samples because the flavors all seemed so interesting. I tried the miso maple biscuits, Butterbeer, and Christmas morning. I liked the Miso maple biscuits the best and Christmas morning, but Christmas morning ended up being too chocolatey as I ate more of it. The butterbeer tastes like regular vanilla to me. Got a double scoop of the kids' size so I can do the 2 flavors and also checked in for the free waffle cone. Waffle cone was thin and crunchy There are a few tables inside and a few outside. I opted to sit outside because I enjoy fresh air more. There is also a speaker outside so you can hear the music that's played. I will definitely come back to try the other flavors. read more

I'm always recommending scoops on tap but i haven't posted a review so here it is. This is gooood ice cream. and i love ice cream. you know they care and use quality ingredients just by their menu, which has vegan options i believe. They rotate a few flavors every month and they have kid sizes available which i love because it allows you to taste a little of everything without being too full. The people are always nice and knowledgeable about any question you may have. And the place is cute on the inside and they have a little outside seating area as well :) read more
Came here with a girl friend around 8:45pm on a Wednesday night and found street parking right out front. They have a parking lot in the back as well. Got the butter beer (most popular) and the seasonal alcohol infused Brie and honey ice cream, which was so good with graham cracker crumbs and some kind of jam. One of my friends lives around the area and said this place is so good that we need to come and eat this after we have finished dinner. It's located on a strip in the local area with plenty of food and has that downtown Pasadena vibe going on. But this is located in the city of Covina. The store is clean and brightly lit with a few tables and chairs inside and out. Their pumpkin-flavored ice cream was so good and it does say it is seasonal so if you love pumpkin as much as I do this is a place you must visit before it is gone. Service was friendly and they do ask you if you want to try different flavors that they have. My first and only was the Pumpkin and my second flavor was strawberry because that is also my other top flavor. read more

Had to come back to try Scoops since I fell in love and was so happy I can eat Ice cream since it's vegan. The service and ice cream was good per usual! I had the cookies & cream w/coconut. That's def my fav but I will have try other options when I return back. They have the ice cream wine flight that I will love to try. I'll have to try that on a Friday night out with the girls:) Overall, it's always clean here and it's the best ice cream spot I've tried that I can eat without upset tummy. I went here a few months ago for a Yelp event and since then, I have been a recurring customer. I love this ice cream parlor. It's very unique and has customized ice creams. The vegan cookies and cream is my favorite :). They have many kinds of ways you eat ice cream with wine or beer. Next time I am going to try a flight with wine and ice cream. Not going to lie i was definitely questioning the coconut milk flavors BUT HOLY MOLY THE UBE WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS! Super adorable mom and pop type ice cream shop with BOOZE YES PLEASE AND THANK YOU! I love this ice cream shop. I appreciate that all their ice cream is made in-house. They have rotating flavors every month. They have keto, vegan, spirit-infused, and dairy flavors. The inside has limited seating, but they do have an outside seating area for those nice summer nights. My go-to flavor is the vegan cookies and cream coconut. It's a delicious twist on cookies and cream. It's creamy and mildly sweet with a light coconut taste. I love the big chunks of cookies in each scoop. Their cones are sweet and pair well with this flavor. You can do a kid's scoop, half scoop, single scoop, and so forth. They also serve ice cream flights that can also be paired with spirits to elevate the flavors. They also have to-go pints, shakes, ice cream sandwiches, and cold brew. The lines can get very long, but the team moves the line along swiftly. They have a reward system, so be sure to check in with your phone number every visit. The customer service is great. Parking can be difficult to find in the front or across, especially on the weekends, but there's a public lot down the block. read more

This is a cool neighborhood ice cream shop with unique flavors and also has...you guessed it, beers on tap! One of the flavors that I sampled was the "Detroit Pizza" which was definitely interesting, but could not commit to eating a full scoop of it. Ultimately, I got the "Ahoy! Scoops!" ice cream which did not disappoint. It's Colombian Coffee ice cream with caramel swirls and chunks of praline candy added in. Nice place! Lots of flavors and they let you try beforehand so you know before you buy it. We tried: Elote flavor it was sour and creamy. Coffee (ahoy scoops) was good, had a crunch and bitter sweetness. Strawberry and cream had a strong strawberry sweetness. In the end Madagascar vanilla was the choice (6$+) nice smooth vanilla. It was my first time trying it. They have ice cream that is dairy based and non-dairy based. It's all homemade ice cream. The server was friendly and patient as we sampled the ice cream. They were all so good that it was hard to choose but the Double Fudge Brownie was a great choice. It was rich in chocolate with crunchy chocolate chips. The hidden gem were the brownie bits. I've only come in 3 times although I live close by. I have truly been missing out. I like getting the taster flight if ice cream (and one time a beer flight accompany) to try out the different flavors. The beer selections aren't sometimes my preference (I'm more of a stout, ale, and porter fan; not IPA) but the ice cream is where it's at! This past month the campfire flavor was so good that I came back last night for another sampler size and the last pint they had in the fridge. It has crunchy nuts, fridge swirls, and a toasted marshmallow flavor that I can't get enough of. I also really enjoyed the espresso martini, and churro delight. The lemonade froses are also refreshing for this summer heat. Service is always friendly and helpful. It's a cute spot to handout (limited seating inside but more options outside). read more
