With so many coffee chain shops in the Macomb area, I was ready for something different. I wanted to try a local spot, so I found Scooter's Coffee on Yelp. Two things that make this place stand out: the incredibly friendly staff and their amazing coffee. The shop can be easy to miss while driving, so I'd recommend putting it in your GPS. I ordered an Iced Turtle Latte with oat milk (they didn't have soy milk--just a heads-up) and a Vanilla Cold Brew. The Turtle Latte was fantastic, with a bold espresso flavor (my favorite!). Some places skimp on the espresso, but not this one. As for the Vanilla Cold Brew, it was okay--not the best I've had. If cold brew is your go-to, I'd suggest heading to Sweetwaters instead. But if you're looking for a solid, strong latte to power you through the day, this is the place! Overall, I love this spot and will definitely be coming back--especially now that I live nearby. read more

I've reviewed a different Scooters in the past with 5 stars... but I'm rethinking it; I was exhausted that day and glad to just find coffee. But after visiting another one, I'm not sold. And it has nothing to do with the quality, it tastes great. But this medium nitro cold brew cost me north of $7. That is a travesty. What kind of beans are you grinding up and how long is the process of making it nitro? What am I paying $7 for exactly? I can't believe Starbucks is cheaper! Is it the foam that's making it so much? I left with more questions than answers, I didn't enjoy it enough to come back for that amount. McDonald's iced coffee for me from now on. read more

We recently moved to Troy and a friend recommended I try out scooters. I can't believe I didn't know about this hidden gem. It was my first time there, so I asked a lot of annoying questions about the coffee and the barista answered them so friendly and fast. She helped me pick out both a cold and a hot coffee for me to try. I got a large and the cup is huge for the price.... both coffees were absolutely amazing. I even got a coupon for their app and you know this girl loves rebates. I was even more blown away by the fact I pulled in and was behind multiple cars and thought I would be there for 15 minutes. NOPE... from the time I got in line to left was less than three minutes! I found my new morning coffee spot. Thank you for the awesome service ladies! read more

First time trying Scooters Coffee... will not be coming back. The staff were nice and great; however, the coffee not so much. I ordered two medium cold brews with cold foam, totaling $13.... The cold brew is very watered down, tastes like when you leave an iced coffee out and the ice melts, not appetizing. The cold foam doesn't taste like much, if anything it has a plastic-y taste. Maybe other drinks on their menu are better. But I still won't be coming back with their outrageous prices for mediocre coffee. read more

First time going to Scooter's.. the staff was super sweet and accommodating to my questions but I got 1 hot coffee and 1 cold brew with a shot of vanilla in the hot and a shot of caramel in the cold.. the shots did nothing, I was hoping for more flavor and also the cold brew I got for my mom was so watered down, she just had to toss it. :( I just wish the coffee was as good as the kind staff because then I would go back but in the mean time I think I'll pass because it's not cheap. read more

The experience is exceptional for a drive thru, but the food does not match. The latte was terrific but pricey and smaller than Starbucks. I really wanted to love this place because the service is spectacular. If corporate can get the egg bites, maple sausage sandwich higher level this would match or exceed Starbucks. Service was fast and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Our drinks were perfect. I was looking for a sweet coffee drink and the Galaxy iced latte was perfect. The barista said it tastes like a Milky Way candy bar she was right, that's all the convincing I needed. My husband isn't a coffee fan so he wanted a strawberry banana smoothie, he really enjoyed and said he would order that again. Always such happy barista's every time I visit. It's drive-thru only, and even during busy mornings, the line moves pretty fast! The Peanut Butter Power smoothie is my favorite drink, but the Toffee Nut Latte and the Caramelicious Latte is amazing, as well. They also have breakfast items, along with some pastry items. Server was really nice and me and my fiance enjoyed the latte's. I got the hot smore latte while my fiance had a blended peanut butter Crunch..something. I think it was a latte I can't remember since it had a long name. But we tried each other's as well and both are equally delicious. I will say as a warning though don't drink the hot drink too soon cause you may slightly burn your tongue. Either than that it's good and a place we plan to come back too. read more

Great new spot! Americano hot or over ice with honey is my go to and sometimes I will top it with mocha cold foam. The customer service is a welcome change from the usual unhappy baristas at some of the other coffee shops. My daughter enjoys the Strawberry Acai with lemonade. read more
