I had a very good experience today at scooters. The owner is very nice and I got spoiled with so many different dishes. They have everything from pizza to pasta to barbecue. The Bar is 16 feet long with many TVs to watch your favorite sport game on. They have live music every week. They also have weekly specials like $.75 wing night. The patio was beautiful. Came here on a Saturday night with a few friends. There was a live band, which was a fun touch, though it did get a bit hard to talk over the music. Nice draught beer list and decent cocktails. Food was ok. The nachos were not great, as they were light on toppings and not well dispersed so you had only the center chips topped and the rest kind of sparing. My friend said his sliders didn't seem fresh and like they were microwaved. Wings were on the smaller side as well. I thought the chicken scarp had good flavor. Service was helpful and attentive though. We were able to get in and out pretty quickly. I'd say pricing was pretty average. First time here. Pushed back from the road a d a little hard to spot if you haven't been, but the place is very large with plenty of seating and TVs. I stopped for lunch and it was near empty, but the food came out quickly and correctly. The smokehouse burger was very tasty. It was very messy, which I expected but the waiter gave me plenty of towels. I came here looking for wings, which they only sell in 6 packs for almost $2 each. We went Sunday, March 13 for appetizers. We had buffalo chicken wings, fried calamari and pei mussels. The fried calamari was soooo good. Crispy, hand-tossed and tender tubes and tentacles. Yum! The buffalo wings were meaty and crispy delicious. There are only 6, but we didn't need more than that. The pei mussels were in a white wine sauce. I wish they served it with some slices of toast to sop up the tasty sauce. Will definitely go back. We loved being able to watch several sports at one time. read more

Stopped in after a visit to the Elephant's trunk flea market. We were seated right away and all of the staff were very nice to is. I apologize for not getting pictures of the menu, they had a brunch menu for sunday's until two. Lots of interesting options but I decided to get the sampler. It came with pulled pork, ribs, brisket and wings. The wings were the best I've had in quite a while, crispy outside skin and moist and tender on the inside. The ribs were good, not fall of of the bone but good nonetheless. The brisket and pulled pork were good, and all of it was served with sauce on the side, not covered in it. The family enjoyed the meal but my daughter's chicken sandwich was kind of thin,( pounded out the chicken breast) but it was ok tasting. First I have to shout out the manager or owner I believe I heard the waitresses calling him Eddie. My fiancé had asked if he could turn off the radio and put the volume up for the NASCAR race. In this particular situation he very nicely accommodated us. Next our waitress also accommodated me as I wanted an expresso but it was over 80 degrees out and I really wanted it iced. Not only did she make me an iced expresso she also asked me if I wanted her to add chocolate sauce. Great touch to my drink. My fiancé ordered the buffalo wings they were nice and meaty and well sauced. While I ordered off the brunch menu which was three courses. Alcohol makes me feel hot so I had mine minus the alcohol which also had a cheaper price which was awesome. My first course was a homemade chicken noodle soup. Normally a restaurant turns me off with soup because of the salt. Scooters soup was awesome and I did not taste extra salt which for me is Perfect! Im very picky with my potatoes so much so that I normally ask for french fries instead. I did not want to press my luck since I was already accommodated on my expresso and the sound on the tv. Im really happy I did not substitute the potatoes were so flavorful, well seasoned and just enough crisp to them. Nothing is worse than getting breakfast potatoes and their like little rocks. I was also happy for my toast they brought the butter out and let me butter the toast myself. My omelette was good but I probably should have done a bacon one instead of the brisket. My last course was a nice big piece of yummy bread pudding. The two of us were happy with our experience at Scooters. read more

Went here for the first time 2 weeks ago. Love how clean and open the dining room was. You weren't crammed next to other groups of people. And the menu has something for everyone. Greats wings, good Cuban sandwich and nice drinks. The waitress we had always also really nice and really attentive. I would also guess this is a good place for large groups or private parties. We went into Scooter's Bar & Grill really not knowing what to expect. We knew they were a new restaurant in town and that they had a smoker! We, of course, went for the wings and were not disappointed. Everyone was friendly and polite, and we ate their BBQ, Sweet Heat, Shmokin', and Slow Death flavors (all smoked). The wings were perfectly cooked and tender and the flavors were insane. Not normally a big fan of scortching hot wings, the Slow Death was delicious and flavorful and the subtle burn came afterward. Made our first visit last night and we regretted every moment of it. Our waitress was new to serving and very unprepared. She was very kind however she shouldn't be thrust into waiting tables until she has worked with a more experienced server for a while. We ordered the calamari appetizer. Absolutely forgettable. The portion was miniscule and relatively tasteless. Nothing special at all. Our main course was a cheeseburger with sweet potatoe fries and the pulled pork sandwich with french fries. Besides us waiting 15min after finishing the infant-sized calamari, the burger arrived well-done and dry (we ordered medium rare). The sweet potatoe fries were tasty however we had to ask three times for the side of BBQ sauce to dip them in. The pulled pork sandwich arrived stone cold however it did appear presentable. Our waitress never checked in on us and our drinks were empty. I finally had to flag down another waitress to tell her our issues. Fast forward another ten minutes and the owner brought out another cheeseburger which was severely undercooked and raw. Furthermore, the replacement pulled pork sandwich was less than half the size and still cold. Based on me being hungry I opted to just eat the pitiful pulled pork sandwich. We again sent back the raw cheeseburger to the owner's dismay. 10 minutes passed and we just finished the fries and had them wrap up the third and final burger. The owner was apologetic however what kind of a place can't get a burger right?! We view never to return. We noticed that a few other tables were having to send food back as well so these issues are not isolated to our experience. In addition, there was another table that clearly had kids younger than 21 however they were still being served alcohol. Shame. read more

Scooters took over this space from a former sports bar on Route 7 (on the east side) a couple minutes over the Brookfield line in New Milford. In the local moderately priced category of sports bar/pub/family restaurant - they get 5 stars from me. Cutting to the chase: I though the food was great. Dining with 3 people, we had: Quesadillas (outstanding), pasta fagiole (excellent, not salty), calamari salad, mack and cheese and chicken and bacon dish (great!), pulled pork sandwich (excellent also), tartufo dessert + cappuccinos - a great finish. Service was great - friendly attentive waitress. Costs were reasonable, I didn't have to take another mortgage! Here's what I liked: they changed the interior to a calming, neutral color with paintings - keeping about 10 flat screens across the bar. They removed the overwhelming sports posters but the flat screens (all tuned to Yankees, Mets, Nascar, Horseracing, Golf, etc) tells the obvious story that this is a good place to watch a ball game - or dine with family and friends. Being with my wife and daughter, I was happy to be able to watch the baseball games from the dining area without being rude. Beware of negative reviews, particularly ones from the fall or from this guy named Matthew with his dog. Matthew launches some personal attacks making me think the guy applied for a job and was rejected or has some other personal agenda, against Scooters and against everyone. The majority of his reviews of other places trash every business, giving them 1 star - but note: this joker is rating places like Subway! Rating Subway is an indication of true personal stupidity. I guess I'll sit on the edge of my seat waiting for Matthew's future ratings on Dunkin donuts, McDonald's, or Burger King. He may think he's writing for the New York Times weekend edition or at least the Hazzard Country Dumb Arse Daily News. Brilliant, Matthew, brilliant. Word to the wise: Scooters is a very reasonably priced restaurant with excellent food and excellent service. A causal, clean, neat place where you can watch a ball game or take a date, or celebrate a non-milestone birthday. Take it for what it is and don't slam this type of restaurant as if you were expecting Val Bella, LeChambord, Rao's, or Smith & Wollensky. If Scooters was in a category against the Buffalo Wild Wings type bars- I'd go to Scooters every single time given that choice. Its far better. This is New Milford, the place where the toothbrush was invented - had it been invented anywhere else, it would have been called the teethbrush instead. (Ok, I'm joking, don't lash out New Milfordites - just a joke, I love New Milford!) The point is, this is not Beverly Hills or Manhattan or Bergen County - so modify expectations. Scooters' mangament takes pride in what they are doing and want their business to grow. I don't head up to New Milford too much, but I will be back - those guys at Scooters know what they are doing. For the bitter, friendless Subway-rating specialist, Matthew - you should be ashamed of yourself for trying to crush the dreams of hard-working restaurant owners. You are pathetic. Get a life, go to confession, or a psychiatrist. Your reviews can do damage, but fortunately smart people will read all of your spiteful reviews and understand the problem lies with you and not the establishments. Stick to reviewing McDonald's or Arby's, please. You will not be disappointed with Scooters - they have an expanded menu and do a great job. Give them a try! read more

Went to Scooters on Saturday night. Decor was nice, bright and clean. Lots of tvs and plenty of drinks. Food was okay; the menu was extensive but my burger was over cooked. Not a big deal. Wait staff was not attentive. We sat at the bar for almost an hour with empty glasses. It wasn't busy at all, only a few tables and a couple people at the bar. Pretty surprised for a sat night. Then, we got the bill, which had an 3.5% NCA fee added. I had never seen this before and asked. Apparently the establishment can't remove this "non cash fee". I asked if this was posted somewhere and not just on the bill. You can see the pics of the posting on the front door. I know the place is pretty new, so I hate to leave a bad review, but it wasn't a good experience. When you're sitting st the bar waiting to get another drink and can't, the. It came with a side of Jersey fries...... let's just say, I was not disappointed!! Ok. Stopped in on a Saturday for a quick snack before shopping. Not crowded. Pleasant waitress promptly got our drinks. More draft beers on tap, but nothing exciting. Ordered nachos and my partner had a hamburger. He ordered med rare, came out medium. The nachos were horrible. The chips were mediocre with cheese whiz. A sprinkle here and there of jalapeños. Boring! And again the chips were just plain ole crummy! I ordered the chili on the side which actually was pretty good, should have dumped it on the chips. Need to replace chips, get some actual cheese and add some tomatoes and olives or something. Guess I am really missing the nachos that 1st and 10 had. Oh the place started to fill up with customers and there was only 1 waitress. She did a great job but clearly could have used help. Not sure if we will return. read more

I been there a few times and I can't get over how a Sports Bar have such good food. Usually a Sports Bar has typical bar food like burger and wings. Scooters has Pasta, Sauté dishes and deserts. Had a bad experience. Will never go back. And I'm usually one for second chances. Nachos were mediocre and our wings were undercooked and rubbery. When we told the manager he was defensive but finally conceded and said that is unacceptable. He then charged us anyway. When we graciously asked if we were paying for them he snapped back "of course, I did my job and offered you another plate." He carried on for a minute. We didn't even bother to get an entree and left still hungry. New restaurants often have kinks to work through. But a crappy attitude and low service standards are not something they should be working through on behalf of their management. Our waitress on the other hand was great.
