Good hospital cafeteria food. Good atmosphere. Highly recommend especially if you're visiting the hospital with loved ones.

The cafeteria offered a salad bar, soups, a grill area, a pasta bar, Chick-fil-A sandwiches and grab-and-go items during my lunch visit. I opted for the Friday lunch special at the grill area, which was a Philly cheesesteak with toppings. I also added the sweet potato fries for a total with tax of just $7.76. The cheesesteak sandwich was packed with plenty of moist, but very salty meat with tasty toppings and cheese on a buttered, but over-toasted 8" bun. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked and tasty - nice! I found the service at the grill was somewhat inefficient and slow, but the service at the checkout area was friendly and efficient. One of the better features of this cafeteria was the spacious and clean dining area with plenty of natural light, a great view of the landscaped patio area, but no background music. A member of the staff cleaned the dining area before the lunch rush - nice! The medical center has a strict photo policy, which included a visit from the cafeteria manager, a hospital manager and two members of security. Yikes! I respect their policy, so I rechecked my pictures to ensure they do not show patients or employees (which was their concern). Overall, A-OK.

Kids and I had a blast at BRKTHROUGH when we visited KC. Our group was me and my two sons (14,…read more12). At BRKTHROUGH, you compete in challenge rooms (there are 40 of them, although a couple were unavailable during our visit) - they last a minute or longer, and are categorized as Physical (requiring speed, agility, coordination, etc), Mental (brainpower, trivia, memory, and puzzle-solving), or Skill (precision, dexterity, patience). The descriptors above came from the BRKTHROUGH website, but I can confirm that they are descriptive of the challenges. The room type/difficulty is shown on a triangle, so they are often a combination of two items (for example, mostly physical with some skill-based components). Every room is scored based on your completion (or lack, thereof) out of 100 points. You can redo rooms as often as you like, keeping the highest score. Your team has an RFID wristband to enter the rooms. Your goal is to earn as many points as you can during the time period you paid for (we did 2 hours). Not only do you try to get your best score, there is a leaderboard to show how you are doing against the other teams in the building. You can earn a prize if you obtain a certain minimum score, or win against the other groups. Other than the boys arguing over strategies, we had a good time. Even with young kids, we were able to complete a lot of the rooms. There are plenty of rooms that could be completed by those with physical limitations, but obviously not all of them. We had a good time and the time flew by. There is also a bar and restaurant and a few games to play after your time is up. We had a blast and would definitely return again! , with live leaderboards tracking everyone in the building. You can read more about the activities or book your session on

We arrived early but were prepared to wait for the order until the specified time. After waiting the 20 minutes I got a text that the order was ready but when I went back to the counter, we were told part of the order (mac&cheese) would be another 20 minutes. We could take a substitute item, so although it wasn't what we wanted we chose a different item. Then they said it would only be 5 minutes for the original item, so we waited only for them to say again that it would be 20 minutes. There was someone who appeared to be the manager in the back who never came out, which she should have rather than sending the young girl to address the issue. They had plenty of time to prepare our entire order and they should have handled their error better. All that said, the chicken breasts were great. The tenders, the potato salad, and the corn bites were okay. Likely won't return, at least not to this location.
