I went ahead and bought a Scrambler then a Streetfighter from a dealer on Long Island. Turns out Marcos is a friend of a friend and when he found out he called me personally and made good. Since then everything I've needed has been done here and I am 100% satisfied! Angel in service is awesome, Marcos is always helpful and happy. This is the busiest Ducati dealer in America and I can say I know why. Yes, great location helps but without the solid team it wouldn't matter. I strongly endorse these guys - the best! Already eyeing the SFV4SP....

He tried to tell me the bike was unreliable and didn't have ABS. I told him I was looking right at them on the bike. I asked for the odometer reading, and he tells me the battery is dead. Since he clearly didn't know anything about the bike specs, I went to Ava. She asked me on the phone if I wanted to pay in full or do a payment plan, and I told her the battery was dead. They scheduled a meeting for a Friday, which had to be rescheduled for the following week because the battery still hadn't come in. I go in today finally, battery installed, bike turns on, and she asks if I plan to drive it off the lot today. Yes of course, but she said it still hadn't been serviced yet, then tells me it's too early to be serviced at 31 miles. I don't necessarily want to keep making trips here if they can't guarantee I can leave with the bike. I arrive and I cannot get a straight answer on where this bike came from. Daniel told me it was a trade-in. Ava told me initially that the owner likely bought it for himself then changed his mind, then she said he may have bought it as a gift, then she said actually it came from a disabled owner who bent the clutch lever in to accommodate his disability. I asked for some kind of verification of this history and they said they couldn't provide it. Not to mention the clutch lever was loose and because it was bent they needed to replace it, which again prevents me from leaving with the bike that day and added yet another trip. Ava asked a man named Leo to talk to me about the service history, and he said they hadn't performed anything. I asked what about the battery? And he goes oh yeah well that. Everyone's attitude felt extremely apathetic and even insulted I inquired about the history of a used bike. They never even offered me or my partner water. The worst part was the breakdown of fees. They said they have a non-negotiable $595 dealer prep fee. For a used bike! That isn't even a Ducati! They can't even service the Enfield with Enfield parts. The receipt for the battery was for a generic YTX9-BS. They wouldn't remove the dealer prep fee, and claimed they needed to charge over $300 for registration. Max allowed by NYS Law is $175. Again, they seemed extremely jaded that I had the audacity to come prepared. When I assumed I could hold onto the buyer report to consider it at home, the manager ripped the papers from my hand, claiming they were "legal documents" I could sign and I wasn't allowed to keep them. That was not only bizarre, but aggressive. After I asked them to remove all the registration and documentation fees, they still came up with $4250, $750 over asking, for a used bike because they "can't remove a dealer prep fee" for a bike they haven't prepared a damn thing for. I counter-offered $4K cash, they declined and I walked out. The entire interaction lacked expertise, care, or even basic courtesy and customer service. It's one thing to charge exorbitant fees on a used bike, it's another to do it rudely, especially having come in with cash in hand to pay free and clear. Avoid this location, go to Cycle Therapy and work with individuals like Rav who aren't going to charge you a prep fee for used bikes.

Ducati New York - Took V2 for a tire change. Next day, bike wouldn't start, showing dead battery. Upon checking, I noticed battery lock was open.

He's slick talking and he's always 'giving you a deal'. I had a small throttle cable issue on my 03 Bonneville that only required taking the tank off and adjusting the position of the cable. I couldn't do it myself because I didn't have the tools to do it. Sean said they'd knock it out real quick and 'give me a deal'. When he handed me a bill for $280 I reluctantly paid that knowing I'd probably never come back there again. Also, next time I went to take my seat off, noticed that both stock Triumph seat bolts were gone and they just threw on 2 different bolts that weren't even the same length. I did buy brake pads from them once and they didn't over charge for those. I did the brake pad replacement myself tho... So maybe, if you need parts, see what they've got but don't have them touch your bike. Don't get your bike inspected there either. They'll charge you double what it costs

Every time a customer questions something, their immediate reaction is to attack and discredit rather than take responsibility for their poor customer service. The fact is simple: I never tried to avoid paying. From the beginning, I asked for a clear explanation of the additional charge - a basic right any customer has. When one of the employees finally did their job and provided the correct information, I paid right then and there. I did not leave without paying, nor did I ever intend to. This was never about "lack of funds"; it was about the owner's obvious lack of professionalism and inability to properly handle a business that relies on customer service. Blaming the customer every time something doesn't go their way only shows the pattern they've created: they don't know how to handle criticism, and they would rather make up stories than accept their mistakes. ‼‼‼ I want to address the $138 labor charge you added for simply ordering parts. You did zero work on my motorcycle - no repairs, no inspection. Charging a full hour of mechanic labor for an administrative task that takes minutes is unjustified and outside standard dealership practice. No KTM dealer in NYC charges a full labor hour just to look up parts. This charge is excessive, not transparent, and it does not reflect any real labor performed. ‼‼‼

That is completely unacceptable and honestly defeats the entire purpose of making a reservation in advance. People reserve rental cars because they have flights, work obligations, family events, vacations, and schedules planned around them. Cancelling a reservation at the last minute leaves customers scrambling with almost no time to make alternate arrangements -- and of course other rental prices are much higher by then. What makes this worse is that there was no real solution offered and very little accountability. If you cannot guarantee availability, then stop taking reservations you cannot honor. A reservation should actually mean something. This experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and incredibly unreliable. I would strongly recommend avoiding Thrifty if you actually need a car when promised.
