Motorcycle Mall on Washington Avenue in Belleville New Jersey. I am sure if you live in the area you have driven by this behemoth of a building. You would think with how fancy it looks that the service and sales department were top notch. Think again... I purchased my bike here in June of 2025. A 2025 Kawaski Ninja 500. Starting with my trade-in. I had a 2023 Honda CB 300R. 1000 miles pristine condition. Garage kept. I was offered 2,500 dollars in trade for this bike. Trade-in value according to Kelley Blue Book was 3,200 dollars. Not terrible but clearly a low ball. The bike sells retail for almost 5,000 dollars. This is not really a deal breaker as I understand the dealer needs to make money on the trade in, but it is worth noting that they do low ball trade-ins. Once the trade in process was complete, I sat in a room for two hours. No information. No one told me anything. The crazy thing is I never actually said the words I would like to buy the bike I was looking at. I just said I was interested in the bike. Then the salesman comes in with a piece of printer paper with the number $167 written on it in pen and says. "That is what the monthly payment will be." At that point I was like oh gee I guess I am buying this bike. I wanted it and I am sure that was implied, but I never actually said the words. "I would like to buy this motorcycle." I said OKAY that sounds good and then once again hours passed. I sat there and waited. The salesman nodded at me at one point and referenced how the process was almost complete as he was walking around the showroom. I waited some more... Finally, I was shuffled into a manager's office. I had no information. I was given no information about the financing. Nothing. I sat down and the papers started flying at me. One after another. Sign this, sign that.... Then comes the document with the loan information on it. What a whopper of a loan this was. A 3,000 dollar finance charge right off the top which is then hit with a 10 percent interest rate on top of what you borrowed. A predatory loan of the highest order. I was in utter shock. I had bought a bike before the experience was nothing like this. I was so worn out. My bike was already traded in and I just wanted to go home with the new bike and despite being utterly crushed by what I was signing I just signed it. I got COMPLETELY ripped off. My bike was 6,000 dollars. When it is all said and done with minimum payments, I will end up paying 12,000 dollars for it. Let it be known too. I have an 800-credit score. There is no reason I should have been offered a loan this horrible. In the end I am at fault. I let it all happen to me, but the sales tactics. The waiting around. The anticipation of the new bike it all just took its toll on me, and I was just done with the entire experience. On the way out the salesman, who I will not name because I am sure he is just a guy doing his job said, when you come in for the 600 mile oil change the filter and oil are free, and then said the service will cost 323 dollars. 323 dollars for an oil change? WHAT?! All I could think was please just give me this bike so I can leave and never step foot in this place ever again. I truly felt compelled to write this review. Motorcycle Mall treats their customers like prey not people. Walking dollar signs. I bought my first bike at Hanover Powersports and it was the complete opposite experience. No crazy interest charge on the financing. I was kept informed the entire time. The process took half the time. I suggest, as I have to many of my piers, DO NOT go to Motorcycle Mall to buy a Motorcycle. The selection is great, but you have to go in there like you are about to fight a war or you are going to get utterly ripped off like me. Who wants to deal with that? read more

He's a real man of integrity trying to cover up for his incompetent service techs. Always remember Rich you're only as strong as your weakest player. Failure. Stay away from the Sevice Department here if you ever want your machine back in a timely fashion and want it back fixed correctly without loose bolts, disconnected hoses, missing parts. Before I even got to ride my machine it had to go back there 5 times to correctl mistakes. The bike had 2,400 miles when we brought into service at Central Coast Motorcycles in Santa Maria, California for repairs. Bike didn't get used because first it took several months to get from Motorcycle Mall to my other son's house in New Jersey because we had already moved out of NJ back in Nov. 2020. We were supposed to take the bike with us which Motorcycle Mall failed to do in the time they had said they would after I had communicated to them several times. In California I sent a letter to Motorcycle Mall, Yamaha, and the BBB and Yamaha stepped up and shared the $658.50 cost with me to have it shipped to Cali which was done in March of 2021. My son did not have a valid California license so I kept the bike in my garage and I occasionally started it up and rode it around to keep the cobwebs off so to speak. I will add that the shifter screw was not screwed on and soon after I had the bike shipped it had fallen off on me on one of those rides. Real sloppy imagine if I was in a dangerous circumstance and no shifter lever. It also took several years because after the bike's engine failed I had to save for the costly $3,180.51 repair. read more

I've been dealing with the same problems with this bike since day one as long as they sale it then would sell this bike to their own brother it's all about the sale they don't care about anything else until the sale is done. So where do I start I purchased 2 can am rykers in the last 3 weeks from motorcycle mall first one no issues second one I purchased Saturday April 12 trailered it home to find out battery was dead called service immediately and was told to use battery tender. I was like ok but I shouldn't have to on a new bike with zero miles. So when it turned on bike started over heating and coolant all over the place. Called back but shop was close. I get a call Monday morning from my sales guy to see if everything went well. I explained I haven't been able to ride my new unit because it over heated. He asked if I could bring it in. I live 2hrs away after going back and forth with all the managers finally someone came to pick the unit up on Wednesday afternoon. Today is Saturday one week from purchase and I still don't have my bike. On top of everything I was told that there is a 3 week wait period for service but I would be taken care of. And then I was sent invoice to sign because if they couldn't find that it wasn't covered under manufacture warrant I would be responsible for repair bill on a bike that I haven't rode. Service manager Mike is a total bullshitter. Now they found that it's the water pump but of course supposedly they have to order parts and service will never give me a date on when I will receive my unit back. I will never buy from motorcycle mall again. I call everyday and no one will speak to me the excuse is there always in a meeting or busy. But I never get a call back I even asked to speak to the owner John and was told I can't. I even asked if I could get my money back but was told no finally received my bike back after 1 month of purchasing it. read more

Slow, make false promises, I showed up and was told the bike was completed and it's not at ALL. Code on my motorcycle is a common code with the exhaust and was told they have never seen it before. Until I called other shops and confirmed what the code meant then the service shop admitted to knowing what it was. To my understanding it's the classic "keep the knowledge from the customer, they'll know how to work on their bike" On top of this all of the price gouging for working on European bikes vs non European bikes is absurd. Honestly, a very bad experience. I bought 2 Sea doo GTR 230 2022 units and from day 1, the fuel pump was broken. In 2024, the carbon seal broke in the other unit, which caused a bigger problem that they said required a complete engine replacement. I really felt scammed, and the price was over 10 thousand dollars. I do not recommend this place at all, even with extended warranty; they didn't honor anything. read more

Lot of fabulous bikes to check out but they do not budge on the price as bikes are flying out of there after the pandemic. There are a ton of fee's that are tacked on that are not advised up front. A good place to look at a variety of bikes but I'm sure you can find smaller dealers that charge less fees. read more

The first star is because I actually have a bike and didn't get completely scammed, the second star is for the staff who I believe are doing their best, despite working in the worst of the worst. The only reason on Earth to buy from this place is because they're the only one within 500 miles with the bike you want. That's what I did. Fees are over the top. $895 freight (Honda charges $380). $695 setup. $295 document fees. This I knew, and still, I wanted the bike. Was told that there would be no further fees despite the fact that they knew I'd arrive with out of state bank financing. Got there after driving 8 hours, waited another 90 minutes while salesperson was tied up with another customer. Nobody else was willing to help, despite a few comments about my holding up their ability to get out of there. Finally got to sit down with the finance manager. Informed that I'd need to pay another $295 for them to process the DMV paperwork, since I would have a lien. Told I'd get refunded whatever was overpaid. Couldn't argue. Dealership sent the paperwork in 2 months after the sale. I know this because that's the date they wrote on the registration form, which was different from the one I signed. Finally sent a "receipt" from the "service" they used to process out of state paperwork that looked like all of the dealership's internal documents showing "service costs" of $200 on top of the $94 the actual DMV work cost. I made it clear that I was ready to buy same day either full cash or finance (820+ credit score). They basically charging me sticker + "fees". Service Department is a joke department. My bike been over heating for the past 2 years and they can't figure it out. Finally, after 2 years they found the issue was the thermostat. No riding for 2years that should have been the first thing a tech should of check. Finally, I Pick up the bike and the staff Paul ride my bike at full speed up the trailer ramp causing damage to the bottom of the bike antifreeze leaking everywhere. I live 3 hours away and they said they can't fix it because they close at 5pm but I got them to fix it after pleading my case and not even sorry. Then Paul the staff load it up again this time walk the bike up the trailer ramp and tie it down. I thought I was done with all the stress i went thru with this place, but no the bike falls off from the tie down SMH. They gave me by far the lowest quote and their Salesperson Jesse is super professional and will do everything in his power to get you the best deal. Its a family run business so they can't afford to treat their customers like garbage. Back to Motorcycle mall. If you thought the sales department sucked, the apparel department is even worse. There is one short dark haired female hispanic employee that is really professional and knowledgeable, but everybody else there is either totally clueless or really douchey and condescending. I was waiting in line and a guy stepped right in front of me like I wasn't even there. Sales person said nothing-- I had to speak up and say excuse me but I was here first. Even after I spoke up the sales person still left to help somebody else. And I don't wan't to play the sexism card, but I have to point out the obvious -- i was the only female customer in a group of about 10 male customers. This is a dealer that will do whatever it takes to take your money and ignore you after they have sold you a defective product. On Friday June 5th, I purchased for the first time 2 Yamaha Grizzly 700 EPS SE ATV's with the 30 Months extended warranty from salesperson Frank. I picked up both Atvs the same Friday in the evening. The salesperson Frank explained how to start them and helped me parked them inside my trailer. Nothing was tested at the time of pick up. The very next day I noticed the winch was not working, after calling at least 20 times, I was able to speak to the salesperson Frank. I explained the issue to Frank and he asked to take the ATV back to the dealer first thing Monday so they could replace the winch. I took the ATV on Monday June 8th at 10am as per the salesperson Frank recommendation. I spoke to Will at the service department who took the ATV in for service. Will stated he was going to call me with an update the same day, I did not get a call back the same day. On Tuesday June 9th I spoke to Will at 12:07pm after dialing over 10 times, I don't know if the motorcycle mall is under staff or they don't care about picking up the phone. Will stated a technician was checking the ATV and will get back to me within 2 hours. 4 hours passed by and I didn't get a call back, so I decided to call them again. As usual, it took another 30 minutes and over 10 attempts to get someone to pick up the phone. I spoke to Will, he stated the technician found out the winch wasn't working and told me he had to order a new winch and I had to pay for it. Will at the service department wanted me to pay for a winch that was damaged since the day I bought the ATV. It's amazing how they treat you when they want you to buy from them and how they easily and quickly turn their back when it's time to show responsibility for a damaged product. I attempted to speak to the owner LJ, conveniently, he was in a meeting. Then, John Resciniti from the service department spoke to me and assured me he was going to look into the issue and make sure it gets resolved. Since no one from the Motorcycle Mall contacted me as promised by John Resciniti, On Wednesday June 10th I spent 4 hours trying to get someone on the phone to assist me. I was able to speak to an employee at 2:44pm, I asked to speak to Michael Cavaluzzi the service manager, I was told Michael Cavaluzzi was in lunch and no one else was available to help me. I ended up going to the Motorcycle Mall to pick up the ATV. They did not apologize for the inconvenience and hassle they put me through these past 3 days. read more

I called ahead to let the sales team know I wanted to buy a bike that they confirmed was in stock. The sales person I spoke with on the phone confirmed they could process the sale in no more than a couple of hours. I arrived at 2pm and did not leave until 9pm. Throughout the day, the entire sales team proceeded to alternate ignoring me completely and treating me like garbage; they refused to give me any indication of what they were doing, where I stood in the process, or why it was taking so long. I have never encountered this degree of unprofessionalism and ineptitude at a dealership of any kind. Frankly, I didn't care about haggling on the price but for those that do, they definitely try jam you with a bunch of fees that they refuse to disclose over the phone. When I finally got there and asked for the all in cost, the sales person came back to me with a set of hastily scribbled and unlabeled figures on a piece of scratch paper(?!). He immediately got offended when I tried to check the math on my phone and asked for a description of each line item. Lo and behold, his math was wrong and it took him another 30 minutes to track down a "manager" and get me revised numbers. I have a credit score of 800 and planned to finance $8k on the bike, and it took them 3 hours to run my credit....Again, no reason was offered as to why it took that long. Further, the financing rates are remarkably uncompetitive - if you have to buy a bike here, do not use their financing - I was able to get an unsecured line of credit through my bank at a rate that was a massive 200bps lower. Again, when they came back and quoted a payment, no paperwork or amortization schedule was provided; he just verbally quoted me a monthly figure which was way too high. Again, I checked the math and it was just wrong...they somehow ignored the cash I was putting down on the bike and took another hour for them to come back with revised financing terms that were accurate. Lastly, when they finally were able to provide me with paperwork to sign, my name was spelled incorrectly throughout. You guessed it, another hour lost waiting for a new set of documents to be printed. Even now, I don't know if my warranty is under my correct name, and given the bike was bought while the DMV was closed due to COVID, I have no idea if they filed paperwork correctly with the DMV, so I'm skeptical that I will receive my plate in the mail. And forget about trying to get a hold of anyone at the dealership after they have your money - you'll just get put on hold and eventually hung up on. Look, it's a nice enough shop and they carry higher end models (ducati, aprilia, ktm), but do yourself a favor if you're buying a premium bike and go to a quality dealer. Ducati and Aprilia in Manahttan are pretty close, the service is absolutely stellar, and the dealerships are run by adults that are real motorcycle enthusiasts who like to educate and spend time with buyers. If you want the most frustrating and painful buying experience of your life however, look no further. read more

Biggest scam of a dealership I've ever worked with. I got a flat tire on my tubed tire motorcycle last Saturday. I gave them a call and they said they had the tire in stock and could change it same day. Unfortunately, towing took longer than expected so I dropped it off right as they were closing. I was quoted roughly 70 dollars if just the tube needed to be replaced, and they said if it actually needed the tire it would be 140-150 additional, and they would credit it if it was any more than that. I give them a call on Monday afternoon (they are closed Sunday) to see what the deal is and if I can pick my bike up that day. They say they don't have the tire in stock and they haven't bothered to order it yet. Here we are A FULL WEEK later, and I was finally told I was able to pick up my bike. However, they tried to charge me $415 dollars for ONE TIRE. They tried to charge me for 2 sets of tubes because they tried the wrong ones. Originally trying to charge me for their mistake. They ultimately charged me $240 total for tire and tube, and they said they gave me a "discount" by only charging me 1 hour at $140 because it took them an hour and a half to change a rear tire. This final price is wildly off from what their original quote was, $70 + $140-150 if I needed a full tire (and was told the rest would be discounted) An expected $220 dollar charge per their conversations with me. My final out of the door price for a standard rear tire, not even a set, was almost $390. A full week of holding onto my bike and a final price that was double what they told me it would be. I am looking into how I can further pursue this criminal establishment. DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE SERVICE OR SALES DEPARTMENTS. I would give 0 stars if possible. read more
