My husband passed June 2021, he loved me and I loved him for 32 years. I thought of a way to memorialize him with a table and comfortable chairs at the resort we were members of. I wanted a plaque that had his name and showed how long he was a member of the resort. Susan Shuman presented me with a beautiful plaque, but had a generic desert scene. I asked of they could make the mountain, Daisy Mountain instead. The very next day that is what they presented to me, I was in happy tears of admiration. I also wanted to get some "Jere" sayings to put on the backs of the chairs, engraved in leather. They provided me with the sayings I asked for and they are perfect again I had tears of joy. We've had many things engraved by Scorpion ridge, ranging from plaques to metal travel mugs to hundreds of neckerchief slides and leather award ribbons for Scouts to a sign that keeps most solicitors from knocking on our door (ask them, they can make one for you too - no kidding, it works really well - only have had 2 people not give up after we put it on the door). This place is a scam. They raised the price 33% from the original quote to when I paid. They then held the product for several days (they are closed Sat - Mon, so expect delays). I paid the extra as the product was a special gift for friends. At the time of delivery they stated they did not do the work (they over-promised, beware) but will be keeping half the fee paid. They were rude on pickup and have poor customer service. Stay away, there are better options. read more

I had a sign made for our 5 th anniversary. I asked for a simple three board sign with three dates and some words to describe the events The owner was quite busy but sent me proofs that looked great. The finished product doesn't look anything like the proof. All three lines are completely different in color and quality. The owner told me it was a laser and it should all be the same. I asked her to make the words all the same darkness so it doesn't look so bad. She said it would cost me more money to make the letters look right. They do not care about their customers and obviously have no pride in their work. I have shown this to many people as it was an anniversary gift. No one likes it and thought I did it my self. I had a custom wood project I was working on and Susan with Scorpion Ridge was very responsive with all questions I posed to her. Her customer service in this regards was above and beyond, even providing examples of what the engraving would look like as far as line thickness goes. She gave me a list of woods that engraved well (woods with lighter colors given the laser engraving is normally dark). My only point of contention (but it wasn't enough for me to knock a star off) was with how long it took. I indicated when I dropped off the wood that there's wasn't much of a deadline on my end and was originally quoted at 3-5 days for when the engraving would be ready to pick up. It was 4 business days until I received a proof for the project, and another 4 business days until it was ready. So a littler late than what was quoted, but I did mention I wasn't in a hurry/rush, so this may have had something to do with it. All in all, if I have any other laser engraving or cutting that needs to be done, I'll definitely go back here. Scorpion Ridge engraved our Yeti cups for our upcoming Cancun vacation and they turned out great! Susan was very responsive made the process quick and simple, she always made sure I knew exactly what they would look like by sending pics through email.
