If you are reading this review, chances are, you are interested in some form of cosmetic surgery.  I have been considering a face lift for a few years now, and always had questions on my mind.  Like, what surgical procedures would I require?  How is the surgery performed?  How safe is it?  What are the post op expectations?  And how much is it going to cost me? I finally mustered the courage to take that big step and schedule a consultation appointment.  If I don't start sometime and somewhere, I'll always be wondering.  After careful research online, I narrowed my best options to "The Plastic Surgery Center of Sacramento".  In the past I had been a long time patient of the Medical Spa within the same facility.  So I felt like this would be a reputable and reliable place to go. I had to fill out several pages of new patient paperwork which you access online and bring with you to the appointment.  The consultation fee is $100.00 and expected in advance at the time of scheduling.  If you decide to have your procedure performed, the fee is included with your completed surgery costs as long as it is done within the next 3 months. When arriving at the medical building, you will notice that parking is directly across the street.   Upon entering the glass doors, I was greeted by friendly staff and made comfortable.  The interior is very nice and well maintained.  I enjoyed seeing the lovely and relaxing Koi pond that is viewable through the glass of the reception area.  There was very little waiting time before I was escorted to an exam room.   I didn't feel rushed during my consultation, as we discussed my concerns and aging issues. The surgery details were explained along with expected results. After the session, I was escorted to another office where estimates were quoted, paperwork signed, and financing options offered.  I must admit, I felt a bit overwhelmed.  It was a lot to take in, but they never pressured me into making a decision and I was not made to feel obligated.   After getting through the initial shock of how much it was all going to cost, I felt like I needed to take a step back for now, accept reality and the fact that I'm getting old, and start playing the lottery........ At least the Medical Spa will be a good back up! read more

I have never had an experience like I did at this office (Sacramento location) - and I don't mean that in a good way. Walking out was the best decision I've made in a while. When I originally requested a consultation, the person I spoke with was rude and little pushy. Not the greatest start to this endeavor. There was also a non-refundable $100 fee for the appointment, which I had NOT encountered with any of the other offices I contacted during this process. That should have been a huge red flag. Nevertheless, I ignored my better judgment and booked the consultation anyway. After weeks of waiting, the day finally arrived. To say that what I experienced was a let down would be an understatement. I promptly arrived for my appointment (early, actually), as any person does if they are respectful of others' time. The first thing I encountered was unknowledgeable and somewhat rude front desk staff. They insisted that I sign paperwork acknowledging receipt and acceptance of policies (HIPAA, records release, etc.) and other paperwork - paperwork that they did not provide to me. When I said that I could not sign something if I did not receive or read it, they looked at me like I was the biggest jerk in the world. Sorry that silly 'ol me doesn't like to sign legally binding paperwork that states I read something that I didn't. Frankly, I don't even know if they have the paperwork, since they seemed confused by my request to see it and never ended up giving it to me. I then walked into the waiting room - what a dump. Tiny, cramped, filthy carpets - not what I would expect from a fancy, high end plastic surgery center. At this point, I'm getting worried about letting this place do anything with respect to my body. If they can't be bothered to have a clean and inviting front-facing operation, what does it look like behind the scenes? Fast forward quite a while, I'm way past my appointment time. No communication. No "I'm sorry, the doctor is running a little behind." Just blank stares and annoyance. This office evidently does not value or respect other people's time the way most of us do. They just pack the waiting room full of people and expect them to wait indefinitely for the honor of talking about the 4-5 figure ($) cosmetic procedures the office peddles. Then the coup de grace: the doctor. This doctor is one of the most arrogant, unprofessional people I have ever encountered in my life. I won't delve into much more, for obvious reasons. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Yamahata for liposuction. It took 3 months before I could be seen and also had to pay $100 to schedule- both of which were not really issues for me because I was expecting this. However, during the consultation, I took out a notepad so that I could write down what the doctor was saying and refer to them later on so I could make an informed decision. Dr. Yamahata did not like the fact that I took a notepad and sarcastically asked if there were questions I had in my notepad for him. I am an introvert and become flustered easily, so it was not easy for me to remember everything I wanted to ask him, so there were times when I had to stare at my notepad for a long period of time to make sure I was getting the information I needed to make a good decision for me. However, he acted as if I was wasting his time by doing this and so made me feel uncomfortable. Finally, the patient coordinator Kelly Wilson obviously does not like her job. I called her two weeks after the consultation to inquire about laser services (as she did say to call her if I had any questions), she did not care to remember who I was after explaining that I had seen her previously, and rudely interrupted my question. She was extremely happy to transfer me over to the laser department. If you consider this place, make sure you already know everything there is to know about your treatment, otherwise risk being ostracized for trying to ask questions. read more

Long story completely cut short, I lost a lot of weight, and my tatas seemed to go with the weightloss. I was a 36C with dramatic pushup... which to me was false advertisement, not to the world, but to my husband who I know has a thing for boobs (regardless of what he claims). I felt like I wasn't attractive, and not feminine anymore, although everyone told me different. I wanted to be happy with myself, and most of all confident considering how young I am. I then made an appointment with Dr. Green in March. I was very uncomfortable that the doctor was male and didn't know where to start in terms of asking questions. I did as much research as possible prior to my first appointment and wrote down questions I had. Dr. Green was very professional and understood where I was coming from considering it was a difficult and awkward conversation for me. I wanted something that looked natural, not dramatic porn star status. My end result, Saline. My surgery was set in May 2014 and when I came in, I was terrified out of my mind at what disaster I may have gotten myself into. I was reassured by all the lovely ladies there, and everyone was always welcoming from the get go. I had many followup appointments due to pain and swelling, but nothing abnormal. All went smooth. It is now August, I have very minimal scarring of which cocoa butter has been doing a very splendid job smoothing out. The implants have softened, and I feel very happy with my procedure. I do continue to have some nerve spasms, but it slowly but surely is going away. I no longer need a pushup bra, and I look absolutely adorable in all of my outfits and bikinis. As far as cost goes, you get what you pay for. I paid roughly 6k, and I believe it was worth every penny. No one can tell I had a breast augmentation besides those I openly tell. Waited for 45 minutes after our appointment time before being seen. Grumpy about that. And we got here 10 minutes early! Some of the other patients were walked back immediately. Everyone that came after us went in before us. I'm sure it was just bad scheduling. The staff at the front desk wasn't terribly friendly. Not a smile to be seen! I don't wanna say it was too much Botox, but you can make your own assumption. I would give this place negative stars if possible. I'll get right to the point, I never made it in, so I cannot speak to their actual work, but their customer service is horrible. I've had botox for years and they were close to me, so I thought I'd try them out. I called to check rates and availability and they operate like a call center rather than a doctor's office. After being routed around by multiple operators I was finally going to get an appointment. At which time they wanted a deposit, which was a first for me, but I was still going to give my credit card to secure my spot, but in the middle of the call I was cut off. I tried to connect again, but finally gave up and went elsewhere. The story doesn't stop there. Just yesterday they called/left a voicemail to remind me of my appointment, which I thought was never set (I hadn't given my credit card info). I was like "really", but I called at 8:15 this morning to tell them I'd already cancelled and to insure my card wasn't charged, but I got their actual answering service. I was irate; so I waited until 9 and called again only to get their service again. Finally at 9:15 I got someone and went through all their routing and was able to insure I didn't get billed. I scheduled a consultation but, over a week and a half before my appointment, ended up cancelling after deciding to go with a doctor from another center. I called the office to cancel my appointment, and was under the assumption that I would also receive my $100 consultation fee, as I gave them more than ample notice. She found me in the system and said that I would still have to pay for a consult fee because of an appointment I missed last year. Seriously??! I have spent tens of thousands of dollars and you are going to insist I pay this fee over the phone before I can even schedule anything!? This is terrible customer service and this policy was never explained in the past. Their website says they can do laser hair removal on all skin colors/Fitzpatrick types. Kim was nice on the phone and I asked her to confirm with her nurse to make sure they have the 1064nm longer wavelength that is considered safest for darker skins. I wanted to buy their package of 6 sessions. Got a call back as promised, and she said the nurse "really doesn't feel comfortable treating darker skin she told me. There's a burn risk." Well, thank you for the honesty. I asked to confirm if they have the 1064nm nd yag setting or not, or if this discomfort on part of the nurse is racism? Unsure. But if the operator is the laser machine doesn't feel comfortable treating melanin-rich skin, best stay away. The one star is for the website touting "safe for all skin colors/types" but turns out the nurse doing the procedure disagrees. I had my eyes done (blepharoplasty) last August 2016, I was so excited to have this procedure done! I thought I did my homework finding a great reputable surgeon, but I'm rethinking maybe not. It took a couple of months to feel somewhat normal after my surgery (a lot of swelling, bruising and puffiness which is to be expected) At the beginning I loved my new eyes--I didn't look tired all the time. The reason why I'm writing on YELP is because of the lack of follow up: I was very disappointed with the office staff that never followed up with me after my procedure. I contacted the office a few days after my surgery because of the swelling I had under my eyes. After my stiches where taken out, the office said they would contact me in a couple of months to check on my status. THAT never happened!! Not one phone call to see how I was doing, not one call to ask to come in to check my eyes. (and maybe take an "after" picture of my eyes) since they took a "before" picture of my eyes. I thought this was very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I'm not really happy how my eyes are looking and it's not even a 1 year since my procedure. My right eye seems to be sagging slightly, I can't believe this is happening so soon after my surgery. Dr. Green was my surgeon and I wished now that I requested someone else. He seems to be more experienced with breast augmentation than facial. Feeling very disappointed and frustrated. read more

I had a horrible experience. Dr Johnson was my surgeon. I had a breast lift and a tummy tuck. The scars for the tuck go above my hip bones. My nipples now face each other. She does not have a good bed side manner. Any critique was met by her turning it around and blaming me. I told her since my nipples face each other I can only use certain bras and she told me I was too heavy to wear demi bras! Really. And now one of the implants have deflated. I dont want to go to her to have it fixed. I will have to go elsewhere and pay full price. I wouldnt chance going to her again even for the low price I was quoted!!!!!!! read more

I had a BA done by Dr Green April 9, 2015 with silicone implants. He was great, very knowledgeable and his team was kind and helpful too. I'm very happy with my results so far and Dr. Green has assured me they're only going to look better in two weeks and two months and so on as they heal completely. I was prepared to feel disappointed in how they looked for the first couple of weeks after reading what other women had gone through, but I was pleasantly surprised that the day after surgery I was already happy with my new look. I have had several procedures with Dr. Green. I would say that he is probably one of the best surgeons anywhere. The only reason I did not give him a five is because like all plastic surgery sometimes the outcome is not exactly what we expected.
