5K Stars - Fast, honest, experienced, friendly, fair priced, excellent customer service, and an…read moreamazing shop. Many times this shop has been just the right help at the right price and time. During floods my friend's iPhone fell into a big mud puddle and got run over. Brought it in and they gave it a going over and determined it was a goner. Luckily, they had a used / refurbished phone available within the budget during a difficult time. Next was a MacBook Pro that needed a battery. Their testing confirmed the battery was bad and the charging adapter defective. Continued use of the defective charger would damage the new battery so it too was also replaced. The screen is damaged so they looked up the availability of a replacement and could get one though we opted not to do it at the time. Replaced an iPhone battery and got it checked thoroughly as it had some damage. They put it under the microscope to see if anything important was damaged or if it went through to the PCB board and it was ok. Big relief, just a battery swap. At a different time it acted like the charging port was dead so got it checked and hopefully fixed. He took it to the bench to inspect it. Turned out to be pocket lint / fluff blocking the contacts in the port he easily cleared and handed it back. We all laughed. A Galaxy Watch that was a gift the charging contact separated from the back. Wasn't sure it could be salvaged or repaired and brought it in. He put it under the microscope and saw a lead was nicked, but it was ok. He reattached / glued the contact back on free. Thanks for all the times they helped, advised, repaired, and came through for us and if / when needed in the future.

Scott has taken care of our computer needs for the past several years. His work is professional, fast, and reasonable. He's extremely thorough in explaining the. causes of problems he has remedied for us. We moved from the north coast about a year ago and left opur computer with Scott to fix serious problems we were having. After taking care of those issues he promptly shipped it to us and then followed up with a phone call to insure it arrived safely. Since then he has called to inquire about how we were doing since the move and to introduce his new remote repair service which we will take advantage of us as needed. Not only is Scott extremely knowledgable about the tecnical aspects of his business but he is also very personable and caring. I recommend him without any reservations. read more

Scott came highly recommended to me when my computer crashed. I was able to reach him immediately and he was extremely understanding, personable and professional. He gave me several options to recover from the situation and when I decided to have him rebuild my computer I had complete trust that he was highly skilled and could meet my technical needs. He was able to save my existing data even after the recovery which saved me allot of hassle afterwords. I have worked with Mr. Larson for over 13 years now. He has an ability to hear what I say and create what I express to him. What is unique is that he takes it 10 steps further then my first idea. He is extremely creative and never ceases to amaze me with his knowledge and insight. Not only is he good at what he does, he makes a great stride to educate his clients, and when it comes to the new age computer world that is no easy task. My computer started acting strangely. Since it was after hours, I sent an email to Scott. He called me right away and was able to tell - just from my email- that it was likely a hard drive issue. Incompetence, erratic behavior, shoddy workmanship, missed deadlines, lack of accountability This account was written by close friend who had a very upsetting experience after taking a Mac laptop to Richard Dow for a new battery--an ostensibly simple hardware fix. I offered to post it so others do not have to go through similar frustration. 1. I bring my laptop to a driveway so Richard could "see inside." HE RETURNS IT WITH TWO OUTSIDE SCREWS STRIPPED AND REMOVED FROM CASE. He has to order the battery and tells me he hates Macs though he claims to be a Mac repairman. 2. I return a week later to drop off laptop, supposed to be ready in 30 minutes. HE MISPLACED BATTERY. I go home, ready to call another repairman, he calls, found battery. 3. I bring it back at the agreed upon time. It won't be done for "a while." HE NEEDS TO FIND AND REPLACE TRACK PAD CABLE, WHICH WAS FINE BEFOREHAND! He gets mad because I'm upset and he's the one doing all the work!! Price has changed twice because of extra time. I do not pay the second increase and retrieve the laptop towards the end of the day. 4. Battery starts up that evening, but the next morning it is dead. Won't hold charge. 5. I take it to a professional technician in another city and watch as he opens the case. BATTERY NOT SEATED PROPERLY, TRACK PAD MISALIGNED, INTERNAL SCREWS STRIPPED, A SPACER BENT AND UNUSEABLE. I paid for this 2nd technician to correct Richard's errors.

I dropped my laptop off with the charger for the headphone jack to be fixed and a few weeks later I was called back and told that it was fixed and ready to be picked up. I went back to the place to pick it up and the owner gave me bad news. He said that the person did not fix it at all and on top of that lost my charger! He called the person who was supposed to fix my computer and he claimed that I did not have a charger when I brought it in which was complete you know what. To redeem himself the owner didnt charge me for the time trying to fix it and let me borrow their charger as well as supposedly ordering a new one for me. Also to fix the audio problem he let me borrow a usb interface and ordered one online in which we agreed for me to buy and then trade off the stuff thats mine for the stuff thats his. In the shop, the charger had trouble charging. Turns out the charger is broken and only works for 5 seconds max on an outlet and then will not work again on the same outlet for the rest of the day. I have tried it on multiple outlets and at different houses. And to top it all the off while I still had a little bit of charge for my computer I attempted to use the supposed state of the art usb interface, (he said it costed $160, I seen the same one brand new online for an average of $60 - $70), and it didnt work!!! The owner told me he would call me in one or two weeks when he received the shipment of the charger to replace the one they lost, and the usb interface in which I was going to pay for. Well that was about 3 or 4 months ago and still waiting for him to call. Ive tried contacting them multiple times but no response! The original estimate to get my computer done was only 24 hours and it took them weeks and whenever I called they would say that they were working on it and it would be ready to be picked up the next day. Also during work hours I went to the place 2 times and nobody was there. The second time however the owner arrived there after I waited 15 minutes and was about to leave. And if you have the same luck as me, they will never answer the phone. Bottom line this is the worst business I have ever encountered in my life and I do not say that lightly. The only 2 things that I have ever written a bad review about is this place and Academy of Art University. But they got 2 stars. This place doesnt even deserve 1!!! I cant believe this place is still in business. Very unprofessional.
