I was forced to reboot the computer every day in order to get sound. He came back and did some more stuff. I offered to pay for his time but he refused. The problem persisted. What happened next was a surprise: Alex ghosted me! Numerous calls and texts were ignored. I called Microsoft who called me back in two minutes and resolved the problem in twenty minutes by updating a driver from the Dell website. Seems a bit basic to me. read more

We made an appointment to bring Alex my computer art 3pm today. He told me he would be out from 1 to 3 so agreed on 3pm. I arrived at 3pm and he wasn't there. At 3:10 I called him and was told, "I'll be there in 10 minutes - 15 tops." At 3:30 he still was not there and I was sitting outside in the heat I called him again to let him know that I was leaving and that I find it rude to ask another business owner to waif for him and loise time at my business. When our printer started printing a mix of good lines and unreadable lines, none of the maintenance options available in the printer solved the problem. We could have bought a new one, but that would have sent the current one to a landfill. NOT an option! I'm always suspicious of companies that get only 5-star reviews, but Guardian's come from various cities and cover a time span. The range of issues they've resolved is impressive. Alex did a fantastic job replacing the fan on my Lenovo laptop. Note: because the fan assembly in Lenovo laptops is a large, modular unit, this is a trickier repair than one might imagine. In addition to the replacement, because the newer part is slightly different than the original, it necessitated a bit of custom work (a heat sink for the graphics coprocessor). After Alex ordered the part, it was me who dragged my feet getting the computer to him, but he repaired it on a Saturday and I was able to pick it up on a Sunday! We set an appointment and when his other job took longer than anticipated Alex called to let me know he'd be running late. When he arrived he set straight to work and from the beginning it was obvious that he totally knows his stuff. The issue I had was that the wifi unit I ordered didn't work straight out the box. I needed to send it back. But Alex still managed to save day since he had a spare Unifi unit in his car. He volunteered to install the spare unit as a free loaner so that he could configure my system. Now when my replacement unit comes in I can just swap out his loaner with the replacement. I agree with other reviewers, Alex rocks, My mother is recuperating from a botched surgery and spent over four months in the hospital. I bought her an iPad when she was in the hospital to enable her to communicate with friends, pay bills, etc. After she returned home, I helped her log onto her home wifi service. Due to complications, she had to return to the hospital, and after she was discharged, she couldn't get the iPad to connect properly to the Internet. Only the e-mail seemed to be working. I did what I could to help her by phone, as I live four hours away, but had no success. A friend took the device to the Apple store, no help. I suggested that she call Alex after reading the great reviews on Yelp.
