I'd been referred to Dr. Miller for a facelift and he recommended I also do a lip lift, which I was unfamiliar with. I proceeded with the surgery six months later but was never given the chance to talk with him beforehand to discuss what I hoped to achieve and what he had planned. I let the staff know my body did not absorb dissolvable stitches but they dismissed my concern and used them anyway. For more than a year afterward, the stitches around my nose caused considerable discomfort and redness, plus he had not cut away enough tissue so there was no visible improvement. They refused to redo the surgery so I had to have it redone by another surgeon so those stitches could be removed and performed without using dissolvable stitches. The outcome of the redo was excellent, but I should not have had to go through more than year of misery and pay for a second surgery. read more

He made me feel so comfortable from the consultation to my post-op appointments after surgery (which isn't the easiest when showing someone your bare breasts). It's been about five years since my lower facelift, which resulted in a massive infection in my jaw after surgery the staff was quick to point the blame on me even though my neck was wrapped up the entire time after surgery one nurse claimed it was my lifestyle I said, what do you mean by that? Oh where do I start this 10 star review....you know...if they had one I would give it as much. I was looking for a plastic surgeon that could give me a chin and face lift that would be drastic, yet totally natural looking. Ha ha. Is that even possible? Yes. It is. I am 52, I had my procedure in Nov 22. and everything was smooth start to finish. Dr. Miller takes the time during the consultation to show you via a computer and previous patients pics, how the results should appear on your face. He is NOT a doctor that pressures you to do anything not needed. Which I found to be refreshing bc other doctors I consulted with prior, all wanted to give me a Bleph as well, and I adamantly do not want one. Anyhow, his office runs so smoothly. Everyone from the surgical coordinator to the receptionists and the nurses have all been spectacular. ALL of them knowledgeable and patient when I asked Q that I had seen on Real Self or Youtube, that they probably get a million times a month. After consult, the time out was about 4 mo. Day of surgery I show up at his in house surgical center at Scripps La Jolla, and was knocked out aprox. 5 hours. I was taken to The Inn at Torrey Pines for my recovery night. The nurse who accompanied me was so cool. I was just chilling, not really in a lot of pain, but well taken care of. Went back the next am, drains removed and sent home to recover til stitches removal at 5 days. My recuperation was easy peasy. Not a lot of pain at all. My swelling was worst on day 4. My results are SO AMAZING. Legit took 5-7 yrs off my appearance. I am 3 mo out rn, and the job is so stellar. I cannot recommend Dr. Miller enough. Absolute perfection. It has been 3.5 years since Dr.Miller did my lower face, neck . I have been so upset that it has taken me this long to write a review. I was referred to Dr. Miller by a few people. Consultation was great, staff is great but my after care was terrible. I reached out to Dr.Miller because of the big hole in my chin that kept bleeding, he didn't feel like he needed to see me until my scheduled follow up. The fluid in my neck was very concerning, I told him I was very concerned about permanent scaring. He assured me that it would heal and go away. He also said if I was concerned, I could go to some lady who does lymphatic massage. Well that would have been 150.00 a session , 2x a week for at least 4 weeks and OUT OF MY OWN POCKET. After paying Miller 27,000 he was not willing to do anything to help with my concerns. Everyone to this day always asks me what happened to my neck and chin. It is embarrassing. A good surgeon would fix this at no cost to the patient. A friend of my moms went to Dr. Miller too for tummy tuck and face. She is not happy either. Her tummy tuck scar is really high, and she has had to have revision from another dr on her neck. You are treated like gold until after surgery and god forbid you have issues afterwards, oh well!!! I do not recommend Dr. Miller at all!!! I guess I'm suppose to show all of you before and after pics. Of course the ones they take, you can't smile and you look depressed. Do I look better? Yes but can you totally tell because my entire neck and chin are scarred that I had work done? Yes! Is that ok? No! I don't know anyone who would spend $27,000 who would be ok with these terrible scars. Bestie, you mentioned Dr. Miller said he would fix my scar on chin for free. He did nothing during my healing process, why in the hell would I let him touch me again? He didn't think anything was wrong, didn't think anything needed to be fixed. My best friend at the time who has a very successful medical spa used to refer everyone to Dr. Miller. She witnessed his lack of care or concern through my entire healing process and has never sent another person to him because of it. This review is long overdue, but very much deserved. I was referred to Dr. Miller by my stepmom and her best friend, they were both patients of Dr. Miller many years ago. I went to Dr. Miller in November 2021 to see if there was any way to get rid or minimize some scarring on my lower face. Not only did he do that, he actually removed my double-double chin and gave me a jaw line. He went above and beyond my expectations and I couldn't be more pleased. He has an amazing staff as well. I recently had a complete facelift with Dr. Scott Miller and I couldn't be happier! I have been wanting to do tummy tuck for almost 10 years. I did consultations with a few surgeons in San Diego. All of them told me that I'm not going to be able to get rid of my stretch marks because I am skinny and I don't have that much extra skin to pull. When I did my consultation with Dr. Scott Miler, he told me that he would be able to get rid of my stretch marks, which is why I decided to choose him as my surgeon, even though he was more pricey than the other surgeons that I consulted with. A year and a half has past but the only result that I had was a flat belly, but I was never able to wear a bikini because my stretch marks were still there. I mention about I'm not happy with the results with the assistant she just told me why don't I just learn to enjoy and be happy with my self. I was thinking I want to love and feel confident of my self so that's why I came to see the doctor. Thoroughly impressed and pleased with the results of my breast augmentation performed by Dr. Miller. Being that I have a pretty lean body type, my biggest concern while researching plastic surgeons in the San Diego area was that I wanted my breasts to look natural on my body, as I was worried I'd end up looking "top heavy" should I be recommend too large an implant size, be placed too far apart, etc. Dr. Miller came recommend by two friends who had seen him for the same procedure, both of which had nothing but great things to say about their experience, and very natural looking results. How am I supposed to know what that foreign measurement equates to under the muscle? I feel so lucky to have this amazing team right here in the San Diego area! I couldn't be happier with the results of my breast augmentation from Dr. Miller and his team! One year ago exactly I saw Dr. Miller for "the works" (face, eyes and neck as well as a much needed implant replacement for a very bad encapsulation that had been put on hold for almost 2 years due to other more critical health issues). I'm not sure where to begin because whatever I say will never come close to describing just how thrilled I am with Dr. Miller and his amazing staff!! First, and just as important as the results themselves, the connection I made with Dr. Miller, Katie, Christine, Jen and Crystal. Not only is Dr. Miller a truly gifted surgeon, he knows how to build a winning team as well!! As others have stated, the staff truly gets to know you - not what your chart says about you, but who YOU are, what you're looking for, what your concerns are, what excites you, what you aspire to...and much, much more!! I just can't say enough about each of these wonderful ladies, and I truly hope they know how much I appreciate everything they've done for me over the last 12 months. Then there's Dr. Miller - where to begin?! He's kind and patient, exactly like many other reviewers have stated and I can promise you you'll never feel uncomfortable a like you're being sold something - with him. (I've met plastic surgeons that should have been salesmen - Dr. Miller is the real deal. I never once felt like he was promoting himself, his services or his practice!) He's an incredible listener and even more than that, he has an uncanny ability to know what you're thinking before the final thought has even finished formulating in your mind. He has a great eye for natural beauty and the hundreds and hundreds of happy patients you'll see photos of will attest to that! I'm certainly not the only one that has said something along the lines of "He made me look younger without making me look TOO YOUNG for my age!!" Speaking of results...mine were incredible!!! To this day - one year later - most people in my life think my health improved and that's why I look "more rested", "less puffy" and "reinvigorated!!" Even my own daughter couldn't tell what exactly it was that looked so much better about me when she saw me for the first time!!! She thought I looked "AMAZING" but couldn't put her finger on what exactly it was that had caused such a dramatic improvement!! Imagine her surprise when I told her what I had done and her search for scars or other telltale signs of a facelift turned up NOTHING!!! (And this was only 4-5 weeks after my surgery!!!) Everything the others have said about natural, pleasing results couldn't be more true - Dr. Miller is by far THE BEST and on a scale of 1-10, I give him 100 What really sealed the deal for me was how Dr. Miller and his staff dealt with some challenges I still faced with my breasts after the re-augmentation surgery. Because my one breast was so hard and encapsulated, the capsulectomy created a great deal of space on my right side. To top it off, I wanted to go with smaller implants instead of putting in the same larger size that had been previously placed so it made for a challenging surgery for Dr. Miller. After about 6-8 months of letting Mother Nature do her thing, it became apparent that I was going to need a corrective surgery to even things out a bit. Just this morning, Dr. Miller took great care of me yet again and yet again, I just can't say enough wonderful things about him...and the staff!! (Side note: Here's another reason to consider Dr. Miller - I specifically asked my previous surgeon for a middle of the road "B" cup. When I woke up and noticed how large they were this jerk told me "I didn't think you'd be happy with B's so I put in full C's!" OMGosh...I can't tell you how upset I was!!! I can't IMAGINE Dr. Miller ever saying such a thing!! He's just not like that - thank goodness - and having had that prior experience, I'm even MORE grateful for Dr. Miller's character and integrity!!!) In summary, whether it's an eyelid surgery, breast augmentation or "The Works", you can save yourself a whole lot of time, hassle and frustration by seeing Dr. Miller for a consult before making any other appointments. After that appt I assure you that you'll leave feeling GREAT about having met him and his entire staff, you'll feel confident in what you've seen and heard, and - if you're like me - you won't have to look any farther because you'll have found your guy!! Dr. Miller is such an easy going and easy to talk to plastic surgeon. He listened to everything I had to say and answered every question I had. He is so knowledgable about what he does and that ultimately made me so comfortable to have my surgery with him. I had my breast done and decided to have breast implants. I love them!
