I had a bad experience here. I had to wait 5 mins to be seated, 10 mins to get a menu, 50 minutes to get my order (eggs and pasta). The frittata was horrendous. The chef forgot to put salt, it was as bland as could be. I was thinking about complaining but I did want to get out of there before the end of the fiscal year. The place looks old and dirty. There's a cold breeze next to the main door (the place was empty but they decided to seat us there), the bathroom has some disgusting red pillows, you can tell that the place hasn't been scrubbed in ages. Most people that were there were drinking the endless mimosas for brunch. So this place might be for you if the plan is to get hammered drunk to not notice the lack of basic ingredients in the food. read more

I've been meaning to come by and finally made it for brunch. The space is super spacious, the day we came in they were setting up for a some private event out back in the patio. The space is really cozy and beautiful. They had a fire lit which really helped the ambiance. They have a pretty good brunch deal with the unlimited drinks. Wow wow wow this was a stunning and cozy restaurant from start to finish-it felt like ultimate class. With a number of ovens and fireplace throughout, it genuinely felt like we were in an Italian mother's kitchen. Every single food item was delectable. We ordered the artichoke heart (5/5, but don't remember the price), fettuccine frutti di mare with lump crab,scallops, shrimp, mussels in a spicy saffron broth ($32) and the chocolate torte. We had a lovely time at Scottadito Osteria Toscana. This restaurant was suggested by a friend who booked the reservation for us. Our brunch reservation was at 2 pm and were seated immediately when we arrived on time. I love the rustic aesthetic throughout the restaurant. There were old trunks of different sizes displayed on a shelf on a wall. I'm always impressed with the small things that others may overlook. We were presented with the brunch special menu. Although, the menu options looked very appealing and delicious, it wasn't what I wanted. My loved one and I both ordered the delicious burger and fries. My friend enjoyed the lobster ravioli and stated it was very tasty, but wished there was more than four lobster ravioli in her order. Our burgers and fries were excellent. During brunch, customers are allowed to order unlimited drinks from the brunch drink menu for 1.5 hours. We ordered our drinks from the mocktail options and they were great. I went with a friend around the holidays so the restaurant was festively decorated and cozy. Our server was very friendly, he went over the specials as well as his recommendations. We each were given a piece of fresh focaccia which was warm and springy with a salty tomato dip. I had a tough time choosing what to order since everything sounded amazing, and finally decided on the Pappardelle Ai Funghi. When it arrived, there was a luxurious waft of truffle oil, cheese, and mushroom. I loved the handmade pasta, although it stuck together quickly and it was a bit challenging to eat. The portion size left me feeling hungry afterwards, so I recommend getting the pasta as a an addition to a main, or with an appetizer. I did have a good enough experience that I would like to go again to try another pasta dish since they all sounded delicious. read more

Cozy (but large) neighborhood restaurant with a live burning fire. When you walk in Scottadito has a very warm and family vibe. We stopped in on a Friday night and it was consistently busy with an energetic energy, without being loud. Our server was fantastic and our food was good. While it's not my absolute favorite Italian, in NYC I think it's a good choice if you live nearby. I would skip on the desserts, though.... especially the tiramisu, which was dry and didn't have enough cream layers. It didn't really taste like tiramisu, but resembled it. Save your calories for Cousin John's or Heaps! Otherwise, we had an enjoyable evening. read more

We came to Scottadito on a really cold Sunday evening during the cold spell earlier this February. It's located next door to the firehouse and looking at the arched front door, it seems that this used to be the firehouse during the days when horses pulled the fire engines. The back was full and we were seated (thankfully) right next to the gas fireplace. It surely kept us warm as people arrived to enjoy their dinner. The ambience is extremely cozy in here. It feels like a neighborhood place, could be an extension to your own dining room. Our server was really great-helpful and patient and he explained the dishes as this was our first time coming to Scottadito. We started with some hot drinks - a hot toddy and tea that warmed us up some. Our meal began with Cozze In Padella Pei-absolutely sweet and deliciously prepared mussels in a sauce that would have been a great soup. It was served with great bread to soak up the extra. We followed this with 2 pasta dishes, the Pappardelle Ai Funghi and Fettuccine Zafferano Frutti Di Mare. The first was a great combo of al dente wide pasta with mushrooms. I really loved the sauce with the mushrooms, I found it very 'earthy' that matched the shrooms. My wife thought it was a bit too rich. The fettucine with shellfish was also really delicious with a great wine and garlic sauce and excellent pasta. We shared a main course-the Branzino Al Cartoccio. The fish was very good, not the best I've ever eaten but certainly satisfying and very enjoyable. After all of that food, there truly was no room for dessert and we completed our meal. It was a really memorable meal. This is not a Michelin star type of place. It's better cause it feels like home and they provide delicious food and wonderful service. read more

The fried eggplant was so delicious and caught me by surprise! The pastas were also so yummy, even the vegetarian pasta option. The salmon was perfectly cooked and sized. The fries were alright, a bit too big for my liking so it was more mushy than usual. The chicken was really disappointing as it didn't taste too good and a bit unclear in the picture but a quarter of the chicken was even undercooked and raw as it was bright pink. Fortunately I was too full to finish the chicken and noticed it but otherwise would've been yikes. And perhaps coming from a major dessert connoisseur, dessert was not great at all by my standards. Service was great and good restaurant ambiance. Attended as part of an event and was decent to try out but not the best option if I were to come here again. read more

Loved the charming rustic feel from the second I walked in! Found this place while browsing around for a Valentine's Day dinner, it was close to home, had a normal menu, and looked nice from the pictures. It was poppin too! Too bad we got stuck sitting downstairs in the basement, which was fine, but def not the same character as the upstairs with its cozy fireplace and pendant lighting. Food was good, service was slow. They seemed a little absent minded, but I give them some grace because it was a busy night overall good experience, and we plan on coming back on a non-holiday during the week and sit upstairs and try their pizzas! read more

I saw this Park Slope establishment advertised on IG. It stated "bottomless brunch 90 mins + entree for $35.00" and I thought why not? I went with a girlfriend this past Saturday. There was outdoor seating in the front that looked a bit sad but once you entered the place it was a full on experience. We asked to sit in the back because I saw the "atrium" they had online. The back wall was all glass so you could see outside. It gave some charm along with the artwork on the walls and various artistic conversation pieces such as the hanging violin and stacked cake stands. We sat at a 2 seater and there were a couple of other tables occupied as well. Our waiter, Arthur, really showed us exceptional service. I participated in the menu bottomless brunch and ordered an Aperol Spritz initially. He gave us all of the drink and food specials for the day. My friend ordered lemonade. Arthur was very attentive to our needs and kept my mimosas flowing. Soon after another waiter came to take our orders. I had the Uova Florentina and my friend had the Wagyu Beef Burger. I will say I was not impressed with my meal. It was quite dry as I did not see any pesto nor hollandaise sauce present. Both sauces were listed on the menu. I thought not to complain as our service was excellent. My friend seemed to enjoy her meal. I noticed the pricing was different than advertised. Bottomless brunch was actually $36 not $35. My friend was charged for bottomless even though she did not drink alcohol ONLY lemonade and a $5 extra fee was tacked onto her burger. I am always one to pay my bill, however, I found these charges to be a bit deceptive. Not a great introduction as a new customer, especially since I traveled from Manhattan. The bathroom was FABULOUS! Alot of details went into making the single stall comfortable. It was clean and spacious. I enjoyed my experience here and might even patronize it again as it is Italian based. I would suggest trying a pasta dish over the traditional brunch food. read more

Got the calamari fritti and tiramisu. The calamari was good although I wish it was more crispy. It came with a couple dipping sauces, some aioli I think and tomato sauce. We also got a couple pieces of focaccia which was really good. I also got the peach on vacation mocktail. It was missing the whipped cream and tajin as described on the menu so not sure what happened there. It was terribly sweet and wasn't that good. The tiramisu was spectacular and came in a small glass cup. They have seating in the front and back. We sat in the back and it was quite cozy. Scottadito is a cozy restaurant with seating in the front and back of the restaurant. If you want a more intimate setting, opt for the front. If you're okay with a bigger room and dont mind some louder background conversation the back is a lovely choice to sit as well. My fiance and I started off complimentary bread and dipping sauce. We followed that up with the katerina salad which comes with a tart dressing and generous amount of cheese. My personal favorite of the night was the tagliatelle with speck and brie... absolutely cheesy, creamy, heaven. The saltiness from the speck balanced out the creaminess from the pasta sauce. The noodles were thin and almost reminded me of egg noodles. Definitely a one of a kind tagliatelle. My fiance ordered the penne with spicy vodka sauce and spicy sausage. The sausage was broken up into nice chunks and definitely came with a kick. The portions were generous and we left the restaurant stuffed. Scottadito also offers small backyard seating, which I can see it opening up to perhaps a micro wedding for the fall/summer. Will definitely be back for more pasta and to try more dishes. Wow! Stopped here on a walking whim. Had intended to go elsewhere by their wait was over an hour. Walked down the block and found this gem who wasn't open yet for dinner but let us in to wait the 20 minutes inside. It was well worth the wait AND we will definitely return. They were so gracious and took our orders prior to open time. While the space is small it is cozy and the music was fantastic. We led a restaurant sing along because we knew each song in the playlist. It was a fun time. Not to forget the food. So happy we did not wait for the other restaurant because this one exceeded our expectations. Each dish was superbly made and portions were just right. I don't usually like chicken parm but ordered their variation of it and ate every morsel. We will definitely be back. read more

What a great Italian restaurant in park slope! I really enjoyed the service, food and space! Food: we ordered the spinach gnnoci and from the specials menu the rigatoni! The spinach gnocchi was very spinach forward, a bit too much for my liking! The special rigatoni however was incredible! So tasty and very hearty! Next time I will just order from the specials menu! Everything here feels very authentic, so you really can't go wrong! We ordered the dessert platter for my friends birthday and it came with a sparkling candle, which was amazing! All the desserts were great, especially the cannoli Ambience: loved the space - it was large enough to fit all of us! Service: great service! Unfortunately, some updates result in disappointment. When I finally dined at Scottadito in person, my experience didn't meet my expectations. We arrived around Happy Hour and ordered drinks which were satisfying. The atmosphere was meh at best and I remember the table moving annoyingly so and receiving service that moved slower than a snail. We shared the Zucchini Blossoms for appetizer, which were puffy, oily (due to being deep fried) and somewhat flavorless. Not what my grandmother made when I was growing up. I love Zucchini Blossoms and to this day, I am very critical of how they're prepared. The pizza we shared was more like a flatbread. Average at best. Would I return? Not sure but it's a true fact that you most likely have to visit an establishment at least twice to form an opinion. Some restaurants just continue to WOW while others are mediocre (not bad/not great). read more

Amazing service! Beautiful ambiance and spectacular food! The menu selection was interesting and diverse.

The attached pictures are of a $17 salad and an almost $40 pasta dish delivered this does not include delivery fees or a tip, just the cost of the two items. The salad could have fit into small bowl the size of my fist. The pasta was supposed to be a carbonara but arrive with two pieces of bacon and dry as the Sahara. There was a couple of small bits of melted cheese on it. This is the saddest carbonara I have ever seen and doesn't taste like anything but pasta. Never again read more

Alright so their bottomless brunch is a HIT! $35 for an entree + bottomless drinks is a steal. We went there as a group of 4 and every dish we ordered slapped. The waiter was awesome and always on top of refilling our drinks. They don't enforce the 1,5h limit and let you switch between the drink options (mimosa, champagne, aperol, and margarita). This has been a go to spot close to a friend's place for an enjoyable after work dinner. They have very yummy red sangria and the staff are super friendly. They also have specials that are pretty good. I usually go for the seafood pasta, a special, or the pasta with brie and speck and my friend is a spinach gnocchi fan. There was a time when they had these mini truffle raviolis that were amazing and she loved those as well. The atmosphere is cozy and when it's cold they have the fireplace going. They have a back space that's good for a party/large group as well as another area downstairs. The staff is lovely and always recognize us like family. We never feel rushed and enjoy the food. The homemade limoncellos are also yummy (more tart than heavy syrup tasting). We usually have a great time and since covid we now go more frequently for takeout. They're still offering the free bottle of wine if you order $50 directly with them too :) read more

Wanted: a rustic Italian eatery that served classic pasta dishes and caters to Brooklyn diners who have an epicurean appetite. Found: Scottadito Osteria Toscana in the heart of Park Slope. I've dined in Tuscany and it was a highlight in my first trips to Italy; food and wine that knocked my socks off. So when my friend Alisa chose this restaurant for her birthday celebration, I was stoked. First off, the decor is rustic and I felt as if I just stepped off a plane and into Tuscany. I always love a restaurant that has brick walls, fireplace and wooden farmhouse tables. I also like to dine in a low key environment, Scottadito offers all that and more. The three menus offer and extensive wine list, classic and traditional Italian food ( hearty) and specials. Our waiter came over promptly and explained the specials. We were served warm focaccia bread with a crushed red pepper sauce to dip. My friends loved the bread. We ordered our usual starters: Classic Caesar Salad and Calamari Fritti. ( hold the tentacles). The salad was "deconstructed" and the server expertly mixed and served the salad: the shaved Parmesan and croutons were delicious and the green's extremely fresh. The Calamari was also delicious, just wished it was served a bit hotter, and came with two sauces, crushed red pepper and aioli. We tried the following dishes: Chicken Parmigiana with 3 generous slices of chicken served with a side of penne in vodka sauce, Gnocchi in a Spinach Pesto sauce. My friends raved about their entrees. I wanted just simple Eggplant Parmigiana and thought I ordered it but read it too quickly. I ordered Eggplant Parmigiana di Melanzane which was stuffed with ricotta. It was quite good but next time I will ask if they could prepare it without ricotta and perhaps bake it instead. The dessert menu offered delectable options but we ordered The Tartufo, deconstructed ( no hard chocolate shell) with chocolate and hazelnut filling. This was a new style of tartufo for us and it is AWESOME! Then we were served refreshing shots of Limoncello aperitifs on the house. The service was terrific and we felt very taken care of. It was a nice touch for Chef Spadavecchia to visit each table and inquire how the meal was. My answer is "Squisito!". Scottadito hosts private events and catering. Fantastico! read more

Props for their complimentary bread, which was soft/fluffy and with this red pepper sauce for dipping. I had the vodka pasta with lump crab.
