Unfortunate that I have to write the review. I had put down a DEPOSIT for my wedding in OCTOBER (Yes, this month) and the deposit was CASHED. Now the restaurant and catering company have CLOSED. I have not heard back from anyone, not Scotts' , not the catering, not Raymond Gallagher (The founder and owner). What makes this worse? I and my fiancé are essential workers. We chose Scott's because our family had been going for over 35 years. This is a cool site but definitely not for us. If you are having a smaller wedding or event I would definitely recommend checking it out. We went to a bridal fair here and were warm and cozy in the garden. There were over 100 people there and it was definitely starting to feel crowded. I think they can seat around 130 in the garden but if you have more than that then some people are seating above the garden. It might work when the weather is nice but some people may still feel separated from the core group. While they have heaters and rugs down during the winter months, they do not have air conditioning for when it is warm. They have large windows that can be opened on one end and some fans to circulate air but I imagine that it can still get quite toasty. The women's bathroom has one stall. Yes, one. I peeked in at the dressing room and it does seem tiny. Again, this is a pretty location but will not work for our large number of guests. read more

We went here today to tour the garden for our wedding next year. Can you say "WOW!" It was everything I pictured a garden wedding should be. Angelina, the Catering Manager, was super friendly and professional. She scheduled Matt and I to come in for a Roundtable Luncheon to sample their menu. We had their Classic Caesar Salad, a duet of Imperial Salmon and Parmesan Crusted Breast of Chicken in leek and lemon cream sauce (full course!) and 2 house wines. UNBELIEVABLE! This place is definantly on the top of our list!! Here's a breakdown: Food: Cannot bring an outside caterer; between $35-54 a person Alcohol: cannot bring own liquor; between $24-29/person or Cash Bar Ceremony: depending on # of guests, the smaller garden is $250 and the larger courtyard is $500. Reception: facility fee ranges between $350-1000 depending on the day/night ***They have a special where if you book a Saturday daytime or Sunday daytime/evening wedding, they'll knock off the facility fee (1,000)!!!!! read more

W.O.W. Scott's Gardens is amazing! I was here last Saturday serving as a bridesmaid in my sister-in-law's wedding. The venue is gorgeous, the staff were very kind and professional and the food was tasty. I do agree with Maya C. that the dressing room and bathroom are lacking, but that isn't enough to sway my rating. Turns out I put my review in the wrong place. I reveiwed it in Oakland, since that's the address that came up when I googled Scott's catering, but it belongs in Walnut Creek. Update - 5/20/2010 So I went to another event that had Scott's Catering, and I was a bit more impressed this time. It was lobster and filet mignon. The lobster was a bit gummy, but the filet was perfectly cooked and tender, and I think medium rare for a large group is gutsy but a delicious choice. The service was coordinated and much better. I have a better impression of this business now. 3/8/2009 When you look up Scott's Catering, it brings up the Oakland address, and it's all under one website: http://www.scotts.../ so I'll just use this address for the review. We went to a private event at the Blackhawk Museum, and Scott's is the exclusive caterer for this site. The servers were fun and had personality; one rolled his eyes and stuck out his tongue when he was trying to serve coffee and nobody was paying attention to him, and then I asked for coffee for myself and my husband, he only filled one cup. I wasn't asked if I wanted wine all through dinner, although the rest of the people at the table were poured drinks. I had to ask the server if he thought I was drunk and was cutting me off, and I finally got a glass poured. The food wasn't great. The salad was drippy and the lettuce was wilted. The beef was either well done or bloody, and they didn't let the meat rest before plating it. My husband's steak bled red juice all over the plate before it was brought out. I thought he had raspberry sauce on the plate, it was so drippy. It was totally unappetizing. The salmon was dry, despite the yellowish, tasteless sauce. The veggies were crisp and good, and the potatoes were dull but harmless. The dessert was awful. It was a pastry wrapped stuffed pear. The stuffing tasted like baklava, with honey, nuts and fruit, but the pear was mooshy and the pastry tasted prefrozen. We each had a bite and then came home and had ice cream. The food really wasn't good. Maybe they do better with smaller groups, there were probably 500 people at this party. The tables looked lovely, the service really was quite good, and the band, I wish I remembered the name because they were awesome. But the food....meh. At least the bread was good! read more

We had 100 person event at the Blackhawk Museum and chose their $52 per person brunch with omelette bar, prime rib, shrimp, crab cakes and all the other normal brunch stuff. No alcohol not juice and coffee. The staff was super nice and professional and the food was fantastic. We'd use them again! read more

Cliff's Notes version: Don't use Scott's Catering if you can avoid it! Of all my 1-star reviews, I dislike them the most! but if you must... (they are the exclusive caterer for all events at the Blackhawk Museum) 1. Don't meet with them too far in advance for your event. Unless you want to part with your money sooner. They really don't need a security deposit too far in advance. 2. Try to write Beverly out of the picture and work with someone else. She's not very pleasant or reliable. 3. Don't let them serve wine, unless you have a huge budget. Bottle limits don't work. 4. Every detail needs to be double-, triple, then quadruple-confirmed. Even then, you still have a 50-50 chance it'll work out (ie, seating arrangements, fountains working ... they even screwed up the date and time of our rehearsal!!) Side note about Katherine M's review: food prices are at least $20 more for Blackhawk Museum events. My family and I went to Blackhawk car museum for the Father's Day car show and brunch. Scott's was the catering service for the event. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience. Reservation for 12PM, we arrived 10 minutes early and finally got show to our table at 12:15. 2 of the 4 champagne glasses had lip stick on them, and 1 of the 4 coffee cups had some kind of dirt stuck to it. We asked for drinks three times, from three different servers. Which neither of the three return with drinks. By the 2nd plate of food we still didn't have anything to drink. So 30 minutes into our meal and on our 2nd plate of food; and we still had No water, no coffee, nothing to drink. I finally got fed up with the service, and went to find a manager. The hostess said she would have once come by table. About 10 minutes later and lady came by and apologized for the service and said she would drop off a biz card for the catering manager, Jen. Later, I had to track her down and remind her about the biz card... Which she apologized some more for not having any more cards for Jen. I called Jen today and she also apologized for the experience but didn't make much effort rectify the situation. She said, "Since you didn't walk out during service and you consumed food while there, we can't justify a refund." Which makes no sense.... After eating 2 plates and spending 30 minutes at the table I'm suppose to walk out? Weird.... She ranted on about how that was the biggest Father's Day brunch event they ever had (at that facility) and they ONLY had a FEW complaints. Long story short.... Instead of enjoying the meal with my father, mother and fiancé; I spent the brunch chasing down servers, managers and clean cups.... Basically is was buffet of frustration at $70 a head! I walked into brunch with a great attitude and walked out very upset, unsatisfied and thirsty. read more

Service was adequate, wine was palatable and the weather was a perfect 70. My only negative comment is that after I had left, I needed to have another meal......My stomach was screamimg for seconds!! My wife and I had Scott's cater our wedding reception at Ellison Vineyards (Sunol, CA) about 2 weeks ago, and for the most part, everything was great! I wish they would've provided more boxes so people could take home more wedding cake (and leftovers of their 16 oz NY steak!). My wife and I worked with Marianne Marko (sp?) to work out the details for everything, from menu selections/hor dourves to table setup. She made things quite easy for us, and that's just awesome for a couple organizing an out-of-town wedding (we currently live in Decatur, GA). Being able to go to two sessions of food tasting was a treat, though they served the same thing both times :(. Granted that we already chose them as our caterers, I thought I shouldn't've had to pay to try the NY steak that I ended up choosing to have on our menu. (They didn't serve this at the taste testing) We were going to pay them what...13k for the catering and I couldn't get ONE steak for free? Come on! Very disappointed in the service I have received. Over the past few years my family has had a few events at this location (bridal shower, 30th birthday, 50th birthday, sweet 16, baby shower, holiday party, ect) so when I started planning my upcoming wedding it was only natural for my family and I to consider Scott's. My older sister got the ball rolling to get quotes and we went in for a tasting that was well put together. Some other prospective clients were complaining that they had been given misinformation. Once I decided to move forward I contacted the sales person (I do not recall her name) my sister had been working with to get a contract and put down my deposit. Unfortunately this is when the service went down hill, the sales person was very rude and her demeanor was very unfriendly. Planning a wedding in less than six months is stressful enough, let alone having to deal with a rude, incompetent person. I decided to call back and speak with the office manager to try and start over and get my contract in place. The office manager was very catty and completely lacked basic customer service skills that are required in this type of position. The office manager ended up telling me that I was rude, not her staff member and that she did not think it was a good fit so I should look somewhere else. WOW. Needless to say, I told all of my family members and we will no longer be dinning or holding events at Scott's in Walnut Creek. Every thing really does happen for a reason, I ended up finding a great venue and an even better caterer! My warning to prospective customers is to shop around, Walnut Creek is filled with excellent restaurants and would be happy to assist you with your event AND be kind and professional. read more

I attended a wedding in October 2015 and the valet left $2,500 worth of damage (appeared to be caused by hitting a wall barrier).Not only did they deny it, but the manager failed to call me back after asking to speak with him about the valets damage. My sister andI held our mother's 50th birthday party in the waterfall patio..One word-- SPECTACULAR!! Lisa Griffin is the ultimate lady to talk to there! She made this so easy on my sister and I. She responds to emails fast and is there for you every need! We checked out different locations but they weren't as helpful as Lisa was. The food was delicious, all of our guest loved it. The bartender and servers were there for us whenever we needed them. We didn't bring enough desserts so last minute we had to order some and there were no problems with that- chocolate dipped strawberries were yummy.. We will definitely be hosting more parties there. This is a review of the food catering at the Blackhawk Auto Museum. We just attended a holiday party with dinner at the museum - a very beautiful venue. As Scott's restaurant patron's we were expecting an above average dinner experience. Unfortunately not. Our menu included a garden salad, salmon + chicken with potatoes au gratin and green beans, a molded bread pudding desert. The salad was the best, and was no better then what we have at home. The salmon was over cooked, the chicken flavorless, both topped by the blandest and most tasteless white sauce I've had. The potatoes were greasy and the beans unremarkable. We could only eat half of the smallish portions given. The pudding was tasteless. The bar was understaffed and took about 20 minutes in line to get a drink. This review is for my wedding ceremony and reception held at Scott's Gardens in Walnut Creek. My wedding was described by my guests as "wonderful" and "magical" and this is due in large part to Tiffany Chids, Event Coordinator. She is outstanding and head and shoulders above the rest bar none. She went the extra mile for me when she didn't have to and if I were a professional Event Planner I would probably worship her. So why only 4 stars you ask? Well let's just say that if it wasn't for Tiffany this place would only be getting 2 stars for my wedding. Basically what it comes down to is that I experienced two very polar opposite kinds of service from the Scott's Catering staff in the months of planning leading up to my DIY wedding: fantastic, flexible, customer friendly and accommodating (Tiffany, Adirianne, one other lady I didn't get her name) - and - patronizing, dismissive, inflexible, hurried and difficult (everyone else). If I had always experienced the same fantastic service I received from Tiffany from everyone else as well, I would give them 5 stars. But because not only myself, but also my family, experienced the "difficult" service even on the day of my wedding I can only give 4 stars. And even though Tiffany is a wonderful as she is, I still want to second what a reviewer had here previously so that future brides can be aware: - For every detail make sure you double and triple check it, even on the day of your event. Some of the small things get "forgotten" or remembered wrong - probably due to the large amount of events they have going on at any one time. To their credit, Scott's Catering will make it right if they can at all possibly do so but you have to prompt them. While the serving staff on the night of my wedding was VERY friendly and responsive, there were a few minor logistical problems: The butlered hors 'd oeuvres were all brought out in the first 15 minutes of the cocktail hour when I had specifically asked for this not to happen and it was written in the contract by Tiffany. This left the next 45 minutes with just bread for people to nosh on (thank goodness I had ordered the bread!). The dinner "special entrees" for vegetarian, ect, were served way before the buffet opened, so those of use with the "special entrees" had to sit with our entree in front of us for up to 30 minutes before the rest of the table had their food from the buffet. I can't believe that they couldn't have opened the buffet and at the same time had just one person to serve the special entrees. This threw off the rest of the events for the night, making everything then 45 minutes late. I had to prompt them to start serving wine at the dinner. We were waiting for the buffet to open (see above) when I noticed that no wine had been poured (were they waiting for everyone to have their dinner before pouring? that would have been another 20-30 minutes!) Even after they finally poured at my head table, they still were not pouring at the rest of the tables. So I had to again call over a server and ask him to start pouring at the rest of the tables! This was a detail that should have been automatic. The staff did start serving the wine immediately and then came back to me to let me know that everyone had their wine. Overall this is a very professional organization providing top notch service. I would definitely use Scott's Catering services again, and recommend them to anyone. BOTTOM LINE: If you want their standard, run of the mill wedding (which is not a bad thing) then just let them be and it will be fine. If you want ANYTHING, any even minor detail different than their standard, pat, formula wedding then make sure there is an event planner or other such person standing side by side with the staff through your entire event. read more

As soon as my fiancee and I walked into Scott's Garden, we knew this was the wedding venue of our dreams. We attended the luncheon hosted by the catering staff and were blown away by the hospitality we received that was unlike any other venue we had visited. The food was phenomenal and they gave us great information. We began working with Keisha O'Shea, and booked our wedding there shortly after. Keisha was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. She helped us every step of the way and ensured us that our day would be perfectly executed. The day of our wedding Keisha greeted us and was incredibly attentive to all of our needs. She visited me and my bridesmaids in the bridal suite and ensured we had champagne. The venue looked beautiful for the ceremony and the staff transformed the space quickly for our reception and did an amazing job. As soon as the ceremony was over the staff made sure we had whatever drinks and appetizers we needed as we took a moment to relax before the ceremony. For our cocktail hour we chose the pancetta wrapped prawns, crab cakes, Asian spring rolls, grilled cheese, and the sliced tenderloin. All were very delicious. Dave attended to us during our reception and made sure my husband and I had everything we needed. Our guests enjoyed either the Imperial Salmon or Parmesan Crusted chicken breast. Both received raved reviews from everyone. The servers were amazing and made sure that no glass was empty. Service was quick as well as we moved from course to course and the bartender made great drinks very quickly. We also ordered the sheet cakes from Scott's to serve and no one knew they were not from a very high end bakery. They were DELICIOUS. Every single part of our ceremony and reception went perfectly. I don't usually do reviews but I think Scott's Catering deserve the praise. We had our daughter's wedding at Scott's in 'the Garden' Saturday November, 10th. We were apprehensive and inexperienced about the whole wedding process but Marianne was so organized and knowledgeable she made it seem easy. Marianne was also present on the Big Day to assist us and make sure everything ran smoothly. We decided to use the on-site Florist and were extremely pleased with the beautiful lines and presentation that Darlene created. It was more than we ever expected. We were really impressed by Scott's Gardens--it just wasn't "us." The people at Scott's Gardens are VERY professional and nice. They also really WORK for your business, which I appreciated. We checked out the place during a complimentary "roundtable" luncheon, where we got to taste some of their food. First off, the food is delicious, at least in my opinion (okay, my boyfriend said, "it's not GREAT, but it's good"). There are a lot of areas to rent here, but we were most interested in renting the garden area (this is where most of the weddings are held). It's a very intimate setup, and it's pretty classy (for example, they have very nice, wooden chairs--I've noticed that some of these places actually have plastic chairs--no thanks). Here are more of my thoughts: Pros: --These people have their shit together, seriously. They know what they're doing, and I don't doubt that things would go off without a hitch. --It's affordable. At least, as affordable as a wedding CAN be. Their prices were better than a lot of the other places we've checked out, and having them take care of everything would relieve a lot of stress. --If you don't want to use their catering, you can bring in your own people. They are very flexible about everything. --the food was good, and you have many options in that department. Cons: --I'm not really a fan of the area, because it's kind of retail-ey. For example, there's a Cost Plus right down the street. It's not bad, per se, but you're not exactly in a remote or private location. --The photos you'd get from a wedding here probably wouldn't be that great. We looked at their sample albums and weren't too impressed. We looked around for places where a photographer could get creative, and we didn't really see any. --Your guests have to enter through the restaurant, even though there's a private entrance to the garden. I don't understand this, as the entrance to the restaurant isn't particularly attractive, and the entrance to the garden actually SAYS "Scott's Gardens" above it. In fact, entering through the restaurant is kind of confusing. Personally, I want my wedding to be a "private affair," and I don't want my guests to be around the public and vice versa. We were married at the Blackhawk Museum and Scott's was the only option for catering. The food was very good but the service should have been so much better for the money we paid. Beverly works for Scott's and handles the weddings at the museum. She was difficult to work with and did not make us feel important or heard even though we were paying thousands of dollars! Mickey used to be the Event Coordinator at the museum and was one of the reasons we booked the museum as our venue. But before our wedding date Mickey was let go and Beverly from Scott's took over the wedding event planning and that was a huge mistake. We worked out all the details with Mickey and he took pages of notes and then one day I called to talk to him and was told he was "let go." I thought this was unprofessional of the museum and Scott's to not inform their clients that the Event Coordinator had changed and that we would have to go through all the details once again with someone else. The day before my wedding the AC unit failed at the museum. During rehersal everyone noticed how hot it was since this was in August and I mentioned it to Beverly and she said not to worry it will be taken care of before our wedding day. Well it was not taken care of and no one ever contacted me or let me know that it was not fixed. So my poor guests and myself were dripping sweat before during and after my ceremony. It was horrific and embarassing. Although the AC problem is the final responsibility of the Museum and not Scott's, Beverly should have been professional and communicated the issues to us and made some arrangements to help the situation. During the ceremony one of the Servers from Scott's interupted the ceremony and walked up the stairs while my Groomsmen were walking down the stairs! It is all on video and it was so unnecessary and unprofessional. When my wedding party was gathering all of our things after the wedding, there were items missing like my boquet, bins that held my center pieces and cards. I asked Scott's if maybe their staff had seen them or moved them they all said they did not know. I complained to Scott's Seafood and the museum by phone and mail and none of them took responsibility for any of the issues and did not compensate us or accomodate our guests in any way. The museum was very nice and classy but the dealing with Scotts was not a good experience. I understand nothing will go perfect but I feel like this was a pretty rediculous situation with too many issues to just ignore. When clients are planning one of the most important day of their lives together these companies should be more accomodating and professional especially for the money Scott's charges for catering. Its been two years since this has happened and I still get upset when I think back that this was our one and only wedding day and we worked so hard for this day and they still have not taken responsibility in any way. But we did get some good photos and the food was good so I have tried to stay positive! I hope this does not happen to anyone else and hope this helps. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! My fiance and I were all set to get married at Scott's Garden on July 4th. My parents helped out a lot and actually prepaid the whole wedding. We decided to call off our wedding the second week of April. Since calling off the wedding and trying to get deposits back the representatives at Scott's became very, very, very difficult to get a hold of. They do not respond to emails or calls in a timely manner. Having signed no contracts for the flowers, they still decided to keep HALF of our money! And since my parents prepaid more then was required they also decided to keep more than what was stated on the initial contract. One of their wedding coordinators attempted to smooth things over by saying we could get a Scott's credit, never happened, or maybe more than half of our deposit back, also NEVER HAPPENED. It took 8 weeks to get any money back from them. They made me dealing with calling off my wedding more difficult than necessary. read more

My first and last time being a bridesmaid. 07/26/2008. I'm all for trying something once. Although Rob and Regan's wedding was beautiful and special and all that sentimental nonsense I wouldn't recommend Scott's Garden. 1. The small "dressing room" was a little hot box with no AC. Its summer in Walnut Creek + 5 bridesmaids + 1 lovely bride all crammed into a tiny room with a FAN. This does not equal fun. It equals hot and fussy. 2. 1 bathroom for all of your female guests. Unless you want them to trek over to the restaurant. What? 3. Stairs and heels do not mix. I got lucky. Very lucky 4. If your wedding party is too large some of your guests will have to sit on the landing/patio ABOVE the wedding party completely separated from the rest of the group. Which means that you can forget about them hearing the toast or getting cake etc. 5. Sketchy waiters/buss boys (watch your purse) 6. The food wasn't really all that great The planning staff was great and very helpful. read more

I can't say enough about Keisha--she was the rockstar of our wedding without a doubt. Not only did she endure emails from me semiweekly for over eight months, but she was always one step ahead of our planning. She was very helpful throughout the whole process and even provided us some suggestions which ended up saving time and money. The venue was also willing to customize aspects of the wedding to fit our needs. They are really flexible and willing to work with their clients. She made our day enjoyable and stress free without a doubt. She even headed off a little bridal anxiety as the date neared and the heat index began to rise for our wedding weekend. She knew we were concerned about the comfort of our guests and really set our minds at ease the day before the wedding. It may have been 102 on our wedding day but the portable AC unit and extra measures they took to keep not only the guests but the wedding party comfortable prior to the ceremony was much appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to have your wedding at Scott's from the food to the flowers they do an amazing job. My first tears of the day came when the florist, Darlene, dropped off my bouquets at the hotel. They were 100% my vision. Darlene was great to work with and was genuinely excited to see my final look when I arrived at the venue. She snuck a peek during our first-look and was cheering us from the sidelines--a memorable moment that brought lots of laughter. If you want to feel like a guest at your wedding and just enjoy your day, book this venue! Went here for a wedding and reception on a hot July evening. The wedding was under a canopy, I suggest fans since you can't really have air conditioning here. It was hotter than all get out. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres were served in a brick courtyard next to the restaurant. This was a nice space. They then shuffled us back in the main area for dinner. It was table service, not buffet, which was nice. However, because of the number of guests, they could not accommodate everyone on the main floor. So, with that being said, a few tables were on the upper level, over looking the bridal party and the majority of the tables. This was good and bad, it was nice because it was cooler and quieter, and it was not so good because we couldn't hear anything that was going on down below. The food was ok, I had the vegetarian plate, which consisted of veggies baked in puff pastry. I liked it. The waiter that was assigned to our section was super nice, he kept the wine flowing...and flowing and flowing and flowing. The dance area was a little too small for a wedding, but it did the job. The others had chicken and salmon, I think. Though I can't remember what was said about the food, except that the mashed potatoes were delicious. :] It was an nice place to have a wedding, just as long as it's on the petite side and not in the middle of summer. 5 stars for our server...I want to say his name was Jose, but don't quote me on that. read more

They catered my Reunion. Everything either tasted exactly the same, or there was no flavor at all. Even the salad.

While with the California Symphony, I had the pleasure of working with Beverly Barnett, the catering director and I must say that she is a professional, bar-none. We produced 2 of the organization's winter balls together and both were extremely beautiful, successful, and well executed - largely thanks to how seamless Beverly and her team work together. She is very creative and offers great ideas of how to incorporate the food service and plating into the event theme. She knows her craft, has great connections in the event world, and knows how to cater to high end crowds. The food is spectacular, this goes without saying. I would definitely recommend Scott's Catering to anyone bent on making sure the food service aspect of their event is as flawless as possible. read more

This place is WONDERFUL! We had our wedding there on Feb. 28, 2009... The staff were very accommodating and helpful throughout the whole planning process! The venue is gorgeous, and the food is delicious. Our guests at our wedding kept raving about how beautiful the place was, and how "yummy" the food tasted. Overall the experience at Scott's Garden was EXCELLENT! The pricing for the food and drinks are totally reasonable, and the venue is perfect for an indoor wedding that gives you an outdoor feeling. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to have an unforgettable event! Best thing about this place too is that there is very minimal decoration needed. Their standard event chairs in their atrium room are these beautiful chiavari chairs. People thought we rented them! read more

We had out wedding here ten years ago, and went to a wedding here last week. Just as good. Fantastic spot for a wedding. They assign a person to essentially be your wedding coordinator. They can handle the food (from Scott's restaurant attached..yummm) drinks, cake, flowers, music, entertainment, the whole bit. Prices were reasonable when we had ours, and from the other post its sounds like it still is reasonable. Tough for wedding parties larger than 70 or so, but with 50 to 70, the place can't be beat. read more

We recently used Scott's catering for our 50th wedding anniversary dinner/dance. Our experience was excellent, Marianne Marko was our contact and she was always available, quickly followed up with questions we asked and organized her team. Hugo was the on-site person and his response was always pleasant and professional. The staff who served the meal and wine were also very professional and pleasant. We had two unexpected vegetarians and Hugo organized a beautiful presentation of salad and vegetables for them. Our tenderloin and halibut were cooked and presented beautifully. I was looking for preferred caterers for my wedding venue Wildwood Estate and Gardens when Jennifer, the catering manager, mentioned they had a Sunday Brunch with a full array of the foods they served and it was a great starting point to try a food tasting. So a friend and I went for a girls day to taste test with what we thought would be a small menu in a buffet style setting. We were blown away with the fresh food selections they had from prime rib to shell fish in every style, make your own omelettes, salad station, french toast with berries and sweet cream to the tower of sweet and more! They definitely aim to please even the pickiest of eaters here. Did I mention the flowing mimosas and Bloody Mary's that come with your brunch and the five star service with live piano music? A big bonus to our Sunday feast. I couldn't of been more pleased and stuffed as we walked out the door to our free valet service! It was a hot day and having the car pull up underground was awesome! This further proves their condescending, arrogant attitude toward customers who aren't filthy rich, but could still afford to put on a nice wedding. They are simply Walnut Creek snobs! I am unhappy with YELP because they have filtered out my review of Scotts Catering below as it seems it was too positive??? I am a real client , we had a real event on July 28th at our home, and I hope they will show my review with the others. I was disappointed to go to the effort to write the review and then see that is was not posted. So I am trying again. We were so happy with everything about Scott's Catering Services at our home for my husband's 65th Birthday & Retirement party! Jennifer Franklin, the Catering Sales Director who made all the arrangements, was very helpful and easy to work with. The staff that came to our home, Joel, Carlos, Marko and Jose were wonderful and very skilled at their professions! They were so positive and wanted to do anything and everything that we needed or wanted. And then when we didn't know what we wanted, they just took over and made everything come out perfect. The tables were set up beautifully and the food was excellent and plentiful. We got many compliments from the guests regarding the food. We also had my daughter's wedding reception at Scott's Garden 3 years ago and that too was a wonderful experience, with a great staff and no detail overlooked.
