I enjoyed listening to their communication with each other and how they each have individual responsibilities for certain tasks. Very disappointed with my experience at this Valvoline location. I brought in my diesel truck for an oil change and felt like I was constantly being upsold on additional services, which made the visit feel more like a sales pitch than routine maintenance. What really bothered me was the professionalism. One employee opened my vehicle and asked if they could take a drink from inside my truck. I couldn't believe I was being asked that while paying for service. The overall atmosphere felt disorganized, and the staff seemed more interested in talking around than focusing on the work. As a customer, that doesn't inspire confidence when you're trusting people to service your vehicle. If you own a diesel truck and want quality service and professionalism, I would recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I will most likely not use the location ever again. For a multitude of reasons. Let's get into it. When I first pulled in there were two customers in front of me. When I got into the line I was told by an employee to pull up to bay 3. I did so. I am idling there and then another employee came up to me and told me that bay 3 was closed. I was told to back up and pull into a spot and wait until one of the other two cars pulled into a bay. This wouldn't have been bad, but the lot is so narrow here and if another vehicle had pulled into the lot, I would not have been able to do this. Then a vehicle left the bay and one car pulled through. I was instructed to pull up to the bay to be in wait. What is supposed to be a 15 minute service turns into anywhere from 30-45 minute wait. While sitting in wait at bay 1, lo and behold bay 3 opened up. A bay I was told to vacate, I would have been in by this point. Instead, another employee came out and told me to move to bay 2 and I would be in within a few minutes. I move again, and while I pull up to bay 2, I give them my information so that when I get in there it won't be that long of a wait. I explicitly told them I just wanted an oil change and that was all. Nothing else. They then try to upsale me on so many things. Radiator flush, transmission fluid change, wipers, air filter, upgrade to a synthetic oil. Then the best of all, they told me that my vehicle has started to have an oil leak. Funny, no oil under my car no matter where I park, no low oil light either. I know you need to meet quotas, but if I tell you I only want and oil change, respect that. I do not want to pay top dollar for a service I can get done elsewhere for cheaper, or do myself. Especially when you show me something that I had just done myself a mere six months ago. Also, when I tell you that I don't drive very much now, respect that as well. I don't put the wear and tear on my vehicle as much as I used to. Employees were rude and unprofessional except for one. After denying any extra services, multiple employees started having a conversation about me while I was in the car waiting with my partner. They called me "dirty" and said "some people are just like that." Was visiting MD and had a quick stop at valvoline for oil change . I always like the ease of oil changes with valvoline . The drive in concept is great . Went early in the morning and the wait time wAsnt bad . Had to wait only 5 mins to get in. Oil change took some time . Very courteous service . I'm just skeptical about the costs . I always change oil in valvoline and I do not know the outside costs . It costed me 150$ for oil change and a filter . They showed me a filter and said to change it . I was disappointed with my recent experience with the Valvoline Laural location. According to the Valvoline website, it prides itself in providing quick, convenient car maintenance services. However, they should also offer quality service as well. After leaving their location and driving onto a busy highway, I noticed that my under-car shield was unsecured and dragging. After pulling to the side of the road and contacting Valvoline, they recommend I drive back to their Laurel location. Valvoline, be better! Why would I want to drive with an unsecured metal object that can be a projectile and could harm? Can't be beat for COVID friendly preventative maintenance. My oil change (thanks Destiny and Terson) was very quick and easy. Both were professional and neither was pushy. They sold me on a tire rotation - I had to pull around again and the wait was a little too long for me after I waited approx 15 more minutes and was told 10-15 more. I explained the situation and Kyle the asst. manager billed me out and told me to come back next day and they would do it for free. I ended up leaving and coming back 10min later because my light was still on. They reset it and Kyle gave me the free rotation as promised without hesitation. Overall very well handled by Kyle the manager! Came on a weekday early afternoon which is PERFECT right now for anyone who is taking quarantine very seriously. Drive thru oil change means you never have to leave your car. All staff wore masks and gloves and signs are posted recommending you only lower your window 1/4 of the way to protect you and them. Other oil change places are closer to me, but I'll be back (if I ever get 6000+ miles on my car during quarantine that is!). I love Valvoline. My friend recommended it because I kept having issues with Jiffy Lube and I hated getting out of my car and sitting in a waiting area. At Valvoline you stay in your car while they maintenance your car. They are not pushy at all about getting other things done on your car. Also, I never have to wait long to get things done. Awesome place! Are used to go here 10 years ago and would have to get out of my car and sit in some dark waiting room while they did whatever to my car in the garage. Now, you pull in the garage and stay in your car while they work around you. I was concerned at first this would be a hard upsell to make me pay more than for Justin will change but they weren't like that. There was not a lot of pressure to upgrade to the best oil, they check your filters obviously, but they also check your air tire pressure and refill. That's a huge plus to me. He also change the cabin air filter and made it so simple. That thing was darn filthy. I have wondered where the car cabin air filters have been my whole life and I finally learned it when I went here. That was worth every penny. This really makes changing your oil and checking your cars vital's very simple and gives you no excuse not to do it. Incredibly fast and friendly service minus the odd guy asking me about the masonic star emblem (OES) on my car. He was a bit insistent about what the star meant...weird huh???? I was a little nervous that he was gonna be under my car. On the other hand, the other young gentlemen that helped me was very pleasant & friendly. He helped me choose the discount code that allowed for the largest discount between yelp, military, & the valvoline app first time user discounts. Apparently midday is a great time to come in for service as I was the only patron there. Best place to get a car serviced, hands down. I used to go to Jiffy Lube and it took forever. Valvoline will handle most everything in minutes. I will say on my last visit (June) they didn't have a particular type of transmission fluid so I needed to go to my dealer. Otherwise they really are the best option in town! Popped in for another oil change. No wait. In fact, this time, they said I could just stay in the car while they did the change. Three different people got to work at once which made for a super quick visit. I went ahead and had the air filter changed while there. (They showed me how filthy the old one was and gave me a discount on replacing it.) The gentleman who assisted me, Drew, was a very cool and professional guy. He went through a checklist with me to make sure other things didn't need attention. I remembered that I had new wipers with me that needed to be put on and he offered to put them on at no charge. I went here for a coolant flush and I even called before I came to see if they do an actual flush or a coolant exchange and i was reassured that they do an actual flush, that was a big lie. I researched a coolant flush beforehand to see what it intelled and once i was in there it was like a bait and switch all they did was change the coolant and the reservoir stills has gunk and rust inside, the coolant light is still on and they told me its probably a sensor. I would not recommend this place tk my worst enemy. I could have went somewhere else and gotten the coolant changed for cheaper. They didnt even check anything else as stated on their website. Very unprofessional and unacceptable. Will never go back to this place ever again. I wish i could give them 0 stars but yelp wont let me. read more

I gave them one star after an original five star review because they told me I needed to replace my front headlights when I knew they were working. I meant to come back and update this because I realized they were on auto and since it was daytime. However, I think the tech should have thought of that. Once I realized that, I kept coming back and mostly only come here. Anyway, I came here yesterday evening to get an oil change and as soon as I pulled into the bay, something blew under the hood and steam started coming out. They hadn't even touched it. They advised me not to drive it as it could damage the motor so the guys pushed it out of the bay and into a parking spot. The manager called a local auto shop with good reviews and told him I'd be in today. I've been waiting for a tow truck for almost two hours while sitting in my car. They came to check on me to see if I needed water or to come inside to the waiting room. When they saw me get out of my car to head to 7-11, they asked if I was okay. I'm now in the air conditioned waiting room and felt compelled to come update my review because of the hospitality afforded me when I haven't spent any money. read more

This will be my 1st yelp review ever. With that being said it had to be an good/bad experience to write this. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! I went to this location 2 weeks previous to the time of my writing this post to get an oil change (at least I thought) and air filters replaced. Within those 2 weeks i traveled to Connecticut and back. Approximately 600 mile round trip. I noticed this morning when i started my car that I was hearing a ticking sound, so i checked my oil and the tank was almost empty. Needless to say I was furious. So I went back to this same location and spoke with the assistant manager and explain what happened. He checked my oil and confirmed it was almost empty. Now what really insulted my intelligence is that he said because I used conventional oil instead of synthetic, that's why it burned out quickly. So you mean to tell me I drove 3000+ miles in 2 weeks? Again this wasn't 3 months after getting an oil change, this was 2 weeks later! Also from the assistant manager! I wish I remember his name but I do remember he head dreadlocks. So to the situation he say's that he'll "top off" my oil tank. So after leaving an hr later I checked my oil again and he barely put in enough so its past the safe marker on the dip stick. This was a horrific display of customer service as well as horrible display of integrity. I will not do business with any company I cannot trust. I will not visit this location again. read more

Worst experience ever. Car was perfectly fine, Went in for a simple oil change and left radiator leaking coolant, hot air blowing instead of Ac and car overheating. They refused to admit fault on top of it being a Franchise, corporate cant get involved so the Manager will side with the employers. I was lied to and told I had to leave while I was on the phone with corporate Because they were closing. This was at 3:20pm but they don't close untill 7pm. Went in for a "quick" oil change today and the last place (Jiffy lube in Briggs Chaney) I had it changed mis-threaded the filter so when they tried to remove it, it cracked and broke. This resulted in the tech having to literally chip and chisel the remaining filter casing pieces off for close to 2 hours! Once it became obvious this was going take a long time to resolve, I went to go grab lunch down the street while they worked on it. When I cam back they had finished the work, changed my oil, and did so free of charge since it took 2-3 ours total. I was really impressed that they would not only handle an issue someone else created, but then not charge because it took way longer than expected. They made a loyal customer today. read more

Went back and forth with the tech for 15 minutes and clearly stated I DID NOT want synthetic oil put into my vehicle. I know people BELIEVE it's better cause it looks prettier in the engine, but I always get REGULAR from the Honda dealership we bought the car from. It's cheaper and does the same exact thing. Guess what the tech decided to do? ...He put synthetic in the car and charge me for regular. Now No other place will change my oil for less than $60 because of the old wives tale about not being able to switch back to regular. As you've probably guessed, I'm never going there again. Strongly considering finding the local hazardous waste and learning to do the damn thing myself. The light bulb checks and fluid checks aren't worth the rest of the bullshit I had to deal with. Oh, and there was a slow leak in the tire that day too from a stray nail. They filled the tires and said "maybe there's something wrong with the sensors." Found out a few months later. Ha! read more

Well this was a surprise for me. I haven't been here for awhile. A couple use to own this place when I came. Long behold this was a different crew. I use to have to get out the car and have a seat in the lobby. These guys were real professional, I had a young lady that shocked me by her knowledge and experience. She was real professional, and on top of that. My oil change came with them checking my lights, signals and topping my fluids off. All this was done within a fifteen minute spam. Which makes me wonder, "Why when I go to the dealership it takes them 2-5 hours depending on how many people are there." I will end this review with saying good job guys and keep up the good work. CAUSED ENGINE REPLACEMENT-Quoted $7,500 to $8,500!!! Our current nightmare, my husband took his car in for an oil change. They advised he needed a radiator flush and a transmission fluid flush. 5 or 6 days after his car starting overheating. He took it back in, the manager advised that's normal, did a couple of things and sent him on his way. Two months later the car advises it overheating again. We have it towed to our mechanic, find out it either has a cracked head gasket or cracked cylinder. Requiring engine replacement. Also, found out its not normal for the car to lose coolant and overheat after a radiator flush, meaning they couldn't have bled all the air out of the didn't bleed all the air out of the line, which can cause major engine damage. So not only are we facing major repair bills if we want to keep this car, but he was also lied to and she new they screwed up. She even had him pull out of the bay so it wasn't addressed in front of the cameras. Very convenient. The car is a 2013, with 66k miles. Contacted corporate, after 2 or 3 weeks back and forth, was told that due to the amount of time between the car breaking down and the amount of mileage put on (1,800) they are not liable. I learned my lesson 30 years ago with them after they screwed up my car. My husband has now learned his. Whatever you do, don't ever let any Valvoline location touch your car. As it's just a matter of time before you are facing major mechanical bills like us and many other people. They have no integrity as I've read post after post of them not taking responsibility for faulty work. I had hopes initially as I've had an experience in years past with Ken Towery and they took care of all repair cost, including the body damage and rim replacement required. Take your car to them, been using them ever since the last nightmare with Valvoline. Never had a problem. read more

Zero Stars. I do not recommend this place. Especially at the end of the day! They are rude and try to rush you out so they can get home. I have a Nissan Sentra 2021 and they come with Skid Plates (a cover over the oil pan) it's difficult to get to for some. I always have problems when I come to this location because of my Skid Plate... Today when I went in they were rude and kept saying I can't come back because they were struggling with my car. After about 5 mins of banging and moving my car they came back and told me my Skid plate was broke. Then they proceed to say it was like that when they started and they never said anything at the beginning and then proceeded to tell me they wrote it on the receipt in the comment section! NOT TRUE! I feel because I am a female they tried to play with me because then they proceed to say you can buy one from Amazon and we'll put it on for free. My last oil change was at a dealership and I'm sure they would've told me about my skid plates. They change my oil then proceeded to put it back on and broke it in the process and then tell me it was like that! No it wasn't! I had questions on basic care that they thoroughly answered. Without hesitation, they reattached a splash shield that came loose in my reckless driving in the rain the previous day.
