Is this place gonna stay open? I came here on a Saturday night, and I was the only customer from the moment I entered to the moment I left. Well....if I said I thought closing this place would be a loss to the community, that would be a lie. I got the loco moco. I gotta say, you guys have some cajones calling yourself a Hawaiian joint and using bland ground meat for your loco moco, truly a courageous decision from the owner. Is it that difficult to afford or make a patty? For some reason, if I look up loco moco on Google images, I just can't seem to find one that looks like this. LMAO The macoroni salad is alright. I must've been living under a rock though because I didn't realize this macoroni salad was famous. Finally, the rice seems like a slightly shorter grain than you would normally use for loco moco maybe? Is this....rice for sushi? It's a tad too sticky for my preference. It both looks and tastes like cafeteria food. Although, to be fair, it'd be good cafeteria food. As someone in the military, I can report that I've had worse food than this in the galley. Lol Okay, the fried eggs are good. But I can make that. Actually, I could make this entire meal, but better. Well okay, I'd have to buy the macaroni salad.....but that's what you guys did too, right? You know, maybe it's my fault. The cashier did say that their teriyaki chicken was the most popular item, but I didn't order that. Although, my standards for any Asian-coded chicken is higher than most other food, so I somehow doubt I would've been satisfied. The OMG IPA is good I guess. In recent years, I dislike most IPAs. Like, I'm not categorically opposed to bitter beer, but I feel like most IPAs are just bitter without much other flavor. This one balances that with some strong fruitiness. I find the balance enticing. This could be a passable space to get a beer and socialize with other people......if there were any.

I would give them another shot. I am not thrilled with this type of French fries (they have a battered texture) but they were piping hot. The pulled pork was somewhat dry in spite of the sauce. The staff was friendly and there was a chill vibe with some Pulp Fiction and tiki bar themed decorations.

sat down, eating by myself at the bar service was great not too much just enough. Food was good. Price was reasonable would definitely come back.

Was hungry leaving Imprrial Beach and stumbled upon Big Kahunas. The waitresses were both very nice and the serving sized are huge for a very reasonable price! I ordered the sweet and spicy chicken bowl. The chicken was very tasty and the sauce on top was good, but too much was poured on top and it had my rice drowning in it at the bottom. It was enough for me to take home for later. The main things I did not like when eating in the establishment were the amount of flies inside constantly landing on me or my food. Also, the men's toilet in the bathroom was out of order. I'm not sure how they would address that since there was also a women's bathroom.

This might be one of my favorite spots in IB, but I don't go there often enough. The Mac salad is always good. It's not super wet and sugary (like supermarket kind) but it has the cold and refreshing crunch to it. I usually get the Spicy Aki Rice Bowl. You get a good amount of chicken, not too little, good amount of rice (not overwhelming amount). The sauce is really good with the chili flakes, it's really good. Plus, this is where you can get cans of Hawaiian Sun...

Ordered to go. Service was good. We waited about 10/15 minutes for our order to be ready. It was delicious and filling. My husband did wish there was more steak on his plate but overall everything we ordered had a good flavor. We will order from here again.

The interior has a casual, island vibe. The staff is friendly but service was slow. We were the only table at the time but had to wait a very long time to have our order taken. Thankfully, the food was good and fresh. We may or may not be back...

My Hawaiian go-to place to satiate my islander cravings. The flavors remind me of family parties from back in the day. The server/hostess was very kind and helpful in every way. Unfortunately did not get her name, but the receipt said "Server #8". Major kudos to you for handling all the customers and orders--impressive multi-tasking skills! You deserve a raise!

Feels and tastes just like home! It's got a family-friendly, laid-back and welcoming environment. They're short-staffed but it has no effect on their customer service. Went for a late breakfast and you can never go wrong with a typical Hawaiian breakfast - spam, eggs and rice. It was perfect to me.

The ambiance was cool. It's a fun family spot that's well lit and ventilated. Their was one waitress who was laid back and friendly. The food was "okay". Cheesy stic appetizer was essentially a bunch of melted mozzarella on not so great do and w/o marinara sauce. The Mahi plate fish was very bland. My husband had the Kalbi plate which he voiced was pretty good. The macaroni salad was AMAZING

There is parking on-site and on the street. You can enter the parking lot either through Sea Coast Drive or Imperial Beach Boulevard. We arrived at 9:30am on a Saturday and found plenty of open parking. Upon walking in, we were greeted by a friendly staff member and seated ourselves in the patio area. A server came over right away, took our drink order, and brought us menus. She refilled our drinks before they were empty and brought us boxes once she saw we were done. She was attentive and anticipated our needs. She was always friendly whenever she stopped by our table. My Denver omelet came with home fries and toast, for a small fee I substituted the toast for pancakes. The cheese on my Denver omelet was burned. I prefer the cheese to be melted and stretchy, as it adds flavor and texture to the omelet. The burned cheese took away from the overall flavor of the omelet. The home fries are always delicious - slightly crispy, well-seasoned, with sautéed bell peppers topped with queso fresco. The pancake was dry and didn't have much flavor. I've been here many times before, and the pancakes are always delicious. The breakfast sandwich was okay. The tomato was a bit overwhelming and made the sandwich slightly soggy. The breakfast burger was tasty and made just as ordered. The mini chocolate chip pancakes were really good, definitely on the sweet side. The portions are big and you will definitely have leftovers. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Both areas have many TVs showing different sporting events, making it a great place to watch a Padres game. It is about a block away from the beach, has the that local-scene type of vibe where people show up in their golf carts or on their bikes. The location has both outdoor and indoor seating. And those of you who are like me that is sometimes cold but also likes the outdoor area, they have seats that give you the best of both worlds. The menu is simple but yet it has variety within its options. They offer pizza, wings, appetizers like tater tots, mozzarella sticks, and such. I think they even offer salads but let's be honest, I am there for the wings. There is something about their crispy freshly made wings that makes you just want to devour them. They offer teriyaki, buffalo and bbq wings. The best part? On Wednesdays they have a special where the wings are 75 cents. Actually, I lied . The best part, is the 5 dollar beers they offer when the Padres are playing. Our favorite go to is the Amigo-Lager. The staff is super friendly and they even offer military and teacher discounts. the only downside is that parking is limited but there is plenty of street parking.

It was all delicious, and the bbq sauce they're using was also amazing. I was worried that the chicken feet would be a tad dry like this, but it was surprisingly soft and tasty. Next, I ordered some sisig. In the past, I've had sisig that I thought was dry also, but this was like....a swamp. It was pungent. I would've thought it was too salty if it weren't for all the onion, scallions, and rice. The umami was divine.
